Tonight we have another artist spotlight. Robert Jimé on the show. He is a fantastic artist who has another set of pulp cover cards coming out in Star Wars Card Trader, and that is among the many other projects he is working on is . If you are on the socials you can find him and his work under the Zerostreet handle or if you go to zerostreet.shop online you can see a lot of his distinctive work. Considering that we are not too far from the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, his work on the pulp covers and his style fits in perfectly to the aesthetic. From His Bio: “Robert's imagination and desire to draw were first fueled by his frequent visits to the corner newsstand in his Brooklyn neighborhood to purchase comic books, especially those that featured the art of Neal Adams, George Perez, and Jim Aparo. Later, the films seen on local TV, everything from the comedies of Abbott & Costello and The Marx Brothers, B Monster movies, and especially the Planet of the Apes series, left a definite imprint in his work. Incorporating an ever-growing cast of Apes, Tikis, and appearances from the likes of Doc Savage, Tarzan, The Shadow, and more, he is creating a unique narrative through his paintings and sculptures. Robert's work has appeared on album covers for Gold Dust Lounge and Stolen Idols and in magazines such as Exotica Moderne, Tiki Magazine, PKD Otaku, Gnarly and Pinstriping & Kustom Graphics. His work is also featured in the books, THE THING:ARTBOOK, VISIONS FROM THE UPSIDE DOWN: STRANGER THINGS ARTBOOK, GHOSTBUSTERS: ARTBOOK and has shown in galleries including Disneyland's Wonderground, Harold Golen, M Modern, Creature Features, and Bear & Bird among others. You can also see Robert's work in trading card sets for licenses such as Garbage Pail Kids, Wacky Packages, Mars Attacks, Star Wars, DC Comics, Firefly, Ghostbusters, Adventure Time and more. Most notably Robert has recently illustrated cards for the Star Wars Trading Card App.” Speaking of Indy, I had a blast talking with Dan Zehr on Coffee with Kenobi about the Last Crusade as part of his series on the films leading up to the premiere. It was fun talking with him and Dennis Keithly from Podcast Stardust on that show. The Fourth Awakens on Enjoy Stuff this week as we celebrate Star Wars Day with our special guest Dennis Keithly. Join us as we catch up with what we've been enjoying from the Galaxy Far, Far Away! The beginning of May means that it's time to prepare to have the Fourth Unleashed! Star Wars Day is this week and we celebrate all things Star Wars with a special guest. News Pixar just released a new, and very revealing trailer for Lightyear Images have been revealed of an upcoming LEGO set that looks like the Atari 2600. Now if it would only work as a console too! Doritos announced a Stranger Things promotion that will include a ‘Concert from the Upside Down' later this summer. What we're Enjoying Shua found a comic based on the Orville TV series that takes place between seasons 2 and 3. Orville 2.5 is another fun addition to the franchise. Our guest Dennis revisited his Dungeons and Dragons themed novels from his youth called Dragonlance. A TSR published series that had some very promising stories in it. In anticipation of this year's Thor: Love and Thunder movie, Jay has been reading Jason Aaron's Thor series. Cool stuff that set the foundation for the cinematic story. Sci-Fi Saturdays/MCU Location Scout Be sure to check out Jay's articles on Retrozap.com. This week he goes back to the beginning of the dinosaur franchise to examine the 1993 masterpiece Jurassic Park. Is this the greatest sci-fi film of the 90's? We'll let you be the judge, but Jay makes some great points as he shares a ton of groundbreaking moviemaking and storytelling techniques that changed the way we see movies forever. Enjoy movies! It seems that the words “May the Fourth be with you” is pretty much understood by everyone these days. This once inside joke has become as mainstream as Merry Christmas. But where did this handy pun originate? We find the origins of the first clever person to put this date together with Star Wars, and it may not be where you think. And we track the exponential growth of the use of the Star Wars based joke to the massive promo machine it is today. Then, we look at the Star Wars things we all have been enjoying. In anticipation of Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim at the end of the month, Shua has been listening to the 1980 NPR Radio Drama adaptation of Star Wars starring Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels. A fun version that gave us a way to experience Star Wars before the common use of VCRs. Dennis has been putting together some great LEGO sets, including a Probe Droid and an A-Wing. And he's been binge watching The Clone Wars animated series in anticipation of Celebration. Jay has been making his way through the new LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga. He's found a ton of clever, funny Easter eggs and joke throughout the game that makes an already amazing game even more fun. We also report on some cool games and books that are available now. And to wrap it all up, Shua shares some Star Wars week puns and a collection of Funky Winkerbean comic strips where the artist Tom Batiuk shared Jedi Jokes. Are you celebrating Star Wars Day? How will you channel your inner Jedi? Did you read all the way to the bottom? First person that emails me with the subject line, “Jar Jar shot first” will get a special mention on the show. Let us know. Come talk to us in the Discord channel or send us an email to podcast@enjoystuff.com

elcome to episode 68.2 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Secrets and Holograms. On this episode, Dennis, Jay, and Darth Taxus take a look at the discoveries Kaz makes while spying on Captain Doza. However, those discoveries are set against a backdrop of adventure with the captain's daughter: Torra Doza. Secrets and Holograms "Secrets and Holograms" begins with Torra Doza lamenting her boredom in her bedroom. After confronting her father about his dealings with the First Order, she decides to sneak out. Very quickly, she bumps (literally) into Kaz and BB-8. Although Kaz tags along for her trip to the market, he is really interested in spying on Torra's father. On this episode, the Scoundrels discuss Kaz's continuing evolution as a spy. Plus, when presented with a straightforward question about whether he is a spy, Kaz answers with a poor excuse for a lie. Does he have a day of reckoning coming? In addition, the First Order is making a move on Colossus. What will the results be. Thanks for tuning into episode 68.1 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Secrets and Holograms. This is a full discussion of all plot points of the episode. The Platform Classic "The Platform Classic" begins with Yeager responding to a summons from Captain Doza. However, he soon changes his mind. Marcus, though, has his own issues, and when a Guavian Death Gang arrives, the stakes for the race are raised. On this review of Resistance, the Scoundrels discuss the similarity between Tam and Marcus's stories. Welcome to episode 68 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Kenobi Quesions. On this episode, Dennis, Jay, and Darth Taxus discuss the hero of the prequels: Obi-Wan Kenobi. There are a few other matters to get to first. Star Wars in the News After a slow news week in episode 67, the Scoundrels have plenty up for discussion this week. They pour over the news of a live action Cassian Andor series. Then they discuss casting news for The Mandalorian. Also, they discuss announcements of authors appearing at Star Wars Celebration Chicago. Finally, they end the show with news about the Galaxy's Edge additions to Disney Parks. Kenobi Questions Obi-Wan Kenobi was the original mentor to Luke Skywalker and the hero of the prequel trilogy. In addition, he was a general and key figure in the Clone Wars. On episode 68, Dennis, Jay, and Darth Taxus discuss this legendary Jedi Master. Kenobi had a fluid view of the truth and point-of-view. Do the Scoundrels agree with his reasoning? In addition, his padawan, Anakin Skywalker, isn't the only one with a love interest in his life. Could Obi-Wan have gone the same route? The Scoundrels discuss this and much more in this week's "hyperthetical." Silence Fools! As with every episode, episode 68 ends with another edition of "Silence Fools!" For listeners new to Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels, "Silence Fools!" is the feedback and listener participation segment of this show. About Brews and Blasters Born from the discussions between two friends at a local pub in the historic town of Salem, Massachusetts, Brews and Blasters is your chance to kick back and enjoy everything about that galaxy far, far away. Your hosts, Chris Salton (founder, The Collectors Hutt) and Joe Tavano (founder and editor in chief, RetroZap!) sit down every week to do what would be doing anyway–talk about all things Star Wars, tell some stories, and have a good time. Join Joe and Chris as they share their love for Star Wars, the most obscure Star Wars characters, Boston’s North Shore, 1980s pop culture and delicious food, and occasionally talk to fascinating people–and friends, like an anthropomorphic packet of crystallized lime.
RetroZap writer Dennis Keithly joins Joe this week to talk about everything from Star Wars comics, to the new 360-degree video, to Greedo's true intentions. Plus, an SDCC First Order Stormtrooper Contest update, the Oppo Awards, and much more on this week's episode of Brews and Blasters.
