We have a truly one-of-a-kind dead pilot for you this month! It's The Sleeping Father, written by Michele Mulroney & Kieran Mulroney (Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows, Power Rangers), based on the novel by Matthew Sharpe. It follows the slow-motion implosion and long and ridiculous recovery of the Schwartz family after patriarch, Bernie, goes into a coma and comes out of it even more screwed up than when he went in. Michele and Kieran originally wrote this as a screenplay for Warner Bros and it was later revived as a television pilot for Warner Bros Television. The Mulroneys have lived with and worked on this adaptation for well over a decade, and we are happy to bring you not just one, but two episodes of this criminally dead project! They wrote a great second episode that we will be bringing you next week. This is an unconventional and unpredictable story about a messy family that we know you're going to love. Enjoy it!We had a terrific cast for this one including Dave Foley (Newsradio), Ennis Esmer (Blindspot), Ciara Bravo (Cherry), Daniel DiMaggio (American Housewife), Nichole Sakura (Superstore), Niles Fitch (This Is Us), Sarah Rafferty (Suits), Bellina Logan (ER), Greg Hess (LA to Vegas), and Andrew Reich with stage directions. If you'd like to see the video feed of The Sleeping Father, you can do so by going to maximum fun.org/join and become a member for as little as $5. With her new drama Marlene opening this Friday in Toronto, Guelph, Edmonton and Calgary, actor Kristin Booth (Foolproof, Orphan Black, Workin' Moms, the Signed, Sealed, Delivered series and more) is here to declare her undying love for the self-aware magic of Rob Reiner's The Princess Bride, which made heartthrobs of Robin Wright and Cary Elwes, gave Mandy Patinkin one of his finest screen roles and taught kids of all ages to appreciate the occasional kissing book. Your genial host Norm Wilner remains just as smitten, honestly, and would like to remind you that the first year of the podcast can be yours at payhip.com/semcast for just twenty dollars. Hours of listening pleasure, including episodes with Kristin's Young People Fucking co-stars Aaron Abrams and Ennis Esmer! It's either this or join the Brute Squad, and really who wants that.

Lifelong pals and frequent co-stars Ennis Esmer and Aaron Abrams mark the end of the first season of Children Ruin Everything by arguing about the entire 007 franchise: The highs, the lows, the tonal shifts, the changing leading men, the quiet refusal to really embrace creative chances that could keep the series fresh. Your genial host Norm Wilner bought a fluffy white cat for this.
Ennis Esmer plays the grass is always greener guy on Children Ruin Everything. Unlike his married workmate James (Aaron Abrams), he's the guy with no kids, no responsibilities, and no money worries. It's a character that should be hard to like but, when it comes to Canadian TV shows and movies, Esmer is always welcome.Born in Turkey and raised in Toronto, the actor-comedian has been the secret weapon on several series. He played “Oz” on The Listener, “Maz” on Private Eyes, Nash on Red Oaks and Rich Dotcom on Blindspot. He acts in Canadian indie films with the sexiest titles, including “How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town” and, of course, “Young People F---ing.”Now he gets to play a guy named Ennis on Children Ruin Everything. The CTV sitcom airs its season finale Feb. 23 and is already renewed for a second season. Esmer has credits on a variety of other shows, including Man Seeking Women, The LA Complex, Covert Affairs and Schitt's Creek. He's been a host on everything from the Canadian edition of Wipeout to the Gemini Awards and, most recently, Roast Battle Canada. Not bad for a guy who arrived in Canada with his family at three and learned to speak english from watching TV!

Most recently noted for his work on the NBC show Blindspot as , the Amazon Series Red Oaks, and his reoccurring role on the multi-Emmy winning show Schitt's Creek, actor Ennis Esmer dishes up some great conversation. Heidi had the opportunity to sit down (virtually) in July to chat with him about his life, food, and the importance of staying connected in a time when connections look far different than they used to. He also made Heidi blush…a lot... www.eleventhelement.com go to their store and enter discount code "heidi10" at checkout www.oliveoiljones.com enter discount code "hungry" at checkout www.pittstonketchup.com enter discount code "hungrystuntgirl" at checkout

Hosts Kelsey and Uber chat with Blindspot star Ennis Esmer about his role as the hysterical Rich Dotcom, stealing scenes in Red Oaks and playing a pompom in Little Big Awesome. Ennis shares his compelling thoughts on diversity in casting, being open to other perspectives, and... pushups?
From 2009: Craig Olejnik- (O-LEDGE-nik) stars in a new NBC and CTV drama series, “The Listener,” that you may have already seen on Fox if you live outside North America. “The Listener,” stars Olejnik and Ennis Esmer as paramedic partners. If that sounds a little like the NBC hit from the 1970s, “Emergency!” wait for the catch: Olejnik’s character, Toby Logan, is a telepath. Joining me today to discuss “The Listener,” which airs Thursdays on NBC at 9 pm, is Craig Olejnik.
From 2009: It’s summertime and in network TV land, that means time to take a few chances. For NBC, it means trying on a Canadian drama series called “The Listener,” starring Craig Olejnik and Ennis Esmer as paramedic partners. We’re back from summer vacation! The Raptors got snubbed again on the Christmas Day game– Are we slighted or delighted? Where does the recently signed Moose fit in? Plus, we got a Kawhi/Masai/Drake conspiracy theory that’ll make you run wild and debate why the Raptors aren’t outright favourites to make the finals. We shift to the NBA to ask the question: Is the West overrated? What are the chances of making the playoffs now for the Spurs, Pistons, Nuggets and Cavs? Who’s the most underrated player in the NBA? We finish it off with some classic rapid-fire questions! Special guests on this week: Ennis Esmer and James Rathbone! Brought to you by The Sonar Network Support Confederacy of Dunks
