They are about to head out to see Johnny Angel and the Halos on the Saturday after Thankgiving.. you're invited AND.... in '24 they are headed to Antigua. If you want to make the trip with them, message and we will get you in touch with the travel professional.

SIn today's episode of the Atheist Experience, Johnny Angel and Christy Powell will work both sincere calls and trolls.First caller is Emmanuel from GA who asks how to come out as an atheist to his parents. It is about setting healthy boundaries. Do you feel like you have to do this? Are the interactions filled with tension? Sharing this part of yourself could make the tensions worse, however, some transparency can be an important step. Make sure your parents know it is about your own beliefs, and not them. Wesley in WV thinks that the hosts witches because they do not believe in angels and are sluggish with the holy spirit. We hope that you get the care that you need and are surrounded by loved ones that will help you work out your thoughts on this subject. Mr. Warlight in AK has proof in the form of stories that leprechauns exist that wear green suits and hide gold. Where are you getting this folklore from? Is there any evidence beyond the story? Where are they documented to show up and why can't we see them today? If you aspire to be a troll, bring a better game than this. Do some research. Carpe Diem in CO wants to know the distinction between obligation and virtue. If you can do better, then you must do better. If every virtue is imperative then we would wear ourselves out by spending all our time performing virtuous acts. Is there good and evil in the world, or can we step away from these words and look through the eyes of preference?Rick in Canada states that atheists are slowing scientific progress. How do you think scientists do their job? Do you think that a scientist sits at their desk and disproves a theory? Did you examine all the evolution? Examine your sources on some of your data points and recognize there are many tiny contributions to this thing we call science. Chuck in HI believes science is just another religion that says there is no god. Science is the opposite of religion. Science starts with observation; religion starts with the conclusion and works backward. Science is evolving and religion is holding people back. Science delivers the goods and religion causes us to kill each other. Sam in NY has evidence of Jesus performing miracles and resurrecting. Who are the witnesses? There are statements such as the writings of Paul that are not allowed into evidence because they do not meet the hearsay exceptions. Why do we drop the standard of evidence for how we spend eternity? Just because we don't know something, does not mean there was a supernatural cause. You don't solve a mystery with a greater mystery. Is there anything you could not believe based on faith? Thank you everyone for tuning in folks! The question of the week is: What is a life hack that god does not want you to know about?

In today's episode of Talk Heathen, we have the tag team duo of Secular Rarity and Johnny Angel hosting to answer all the caller's questions and concerns. First up, Phil in England says that we are mocking god all the time and asks how do we know god isn't gonna get us. Of course someone can come up with lots of “what ifs”, like god is an alien, but there is no reason to believe any of it. You have to have good evidence to believe these outlandish claims. Rick in Canada claims to have scientific evidence of a soul then references what God is described in the bible. The bible is not scientific evidence of anything, especially a soul. Sadly, neither is word salad. Sure, energy is real…but doesn't prove any kind of a soul.Tom in Michigan claims Occam's Razor gets you 75% of the way to a monotheistic god because humans haven't found signs of life on Mars. Not finding evidence of life somewhere other than earth can't lend any credence to a god. This is so confusing… How does lack of evidence of Thing A mean that Thing B is real??? Thank you everyone for tuning in! We will see you next week and try to be decent human beings!

In today's episode of Talk Heathen, Katy Montgomerie and Johnny Angel will work through caller questions of Sharia Law, pronouns, god creating chaos, and judgemental atheists. First up is Brett in CA who describes a study in Islamic research that showed that 70% of moderate Muslims support Sharia Law. He is concerned about how many people believe it is okay to kill apostates or those who leave the religion. These findings are not surprising; we know that some of these places are not great for human rights. When anyone gives a number that is just percentages, it is easy to conceal the big picture. Progressive minded folks tend not to focus attention on Islam since it is not the dominant religion in the U.S. However, as humanists, we need to care about these things. Carlos in OK who askes about atheists that appear to be forcing their gay, transgender, and pronoun views on others. Katy explains that the pronoun thing is quite easy because you just address the person by what they request like you would their name. Sometimes when people get misgendered, they just want to make sure the person knows and move on. We don't know what a person has been through on a particular day or why they would react in different ways to an inadvertent misgendering. The trans person is not trying to force their beliefs on you, but just wanting to be treated like a person. Treat trans people with the respect they treat you with. What is the point in being disrespectful or impolite? Amanuel in TX says that maybe all religions have it correct since they all say similar things and when bad things happen, we can trace it back to God. What happens when religions make claims about each other? Can they all be right? Why is god not a monster for creating the laws of nature, Covid, and childhood cancer? Why is scripture the ultimate authority? If you choose not to take a risk, why are you not afraid of sparking the wrath of Allah? How do we know which scripture/religion is right and where to spend our time? How will one survive in heaven and not always be on pins and needles with the possibility of a Luciferian thought? Did god create non-believers with the purpose of not believing in order to burn in eternity? If god exists, why should we worship this immoral monster?David in CA says the atheist community is judgemental. People in the comments and live chat call him stupid. That is not cool, and we do not like this! People on the internet can be horrible, and that includes atheists. Atheists may be judgemental, but they are not uniquely judgemental or abusive. It is not judgemental if we ask you to bring something to the conversation other than giving us homework. Thank you everyone for tuning in! We will see you next week and try to be decent human beings!
Good morning... Happy birthday little brother Johnny Angel.. Love you. Let's get ready for the weekend
In today's live studio episode of Talk Heathen, Johnny Angel is joined by Student Dr. Ben to take both audience questions and calls!Jasmine in Canada is the first caller who mentions a case of a doctor refusing to use a proper pronoun for people based on a scripture. Doctors need to set aside their imaginary beliefs and focus on the patients. We trust doctors with our lives and it is not their place to bring religion into the conversation.Michael, in the audience, asks: Is it legal for a judge to hand out a lenient sentence on someone because the church and Jesus forgave the person for stealing?Rick is our next caller from Canada who is a human and since he is a human, he is an expert on the human body. He wants us to produce evidence that the body is NOT intelligently designed. Do you really think just by having a body that you can determine everything that is going on with it? How do you think the kidneys work? How do we determine that the body is intelligently designed objectively? The body doing cool things and an argument from incredulity does not necessitate design. Who is the intelligent designer? Why do you believe that a god exists? You can convert tens of thousands of people right now if you can prove your god did this.An audience member comments on the call by mentioning knee pain and glasses. Johnny reminds us that god brings us to our knees! Student Doctor Ben educates us about the human body being an engineering nightmare.Gabriel, our third Canada caller, wants to know why Muslims are not criticized as heavily as Christians by atheists. We have more conversations with Christians and understand their arguments. We don't run into as many Muslims in the U.S. as we do Christians. Who do you think is taking over our country right now?Rao from WY wonders about a connection between simulation hypothesis and fibromyalgia and designing survey questions with a control group to determine who has this condition. How would these questions be set up and with what controls? We are not the best judge of what is happening with us. How would the responses prove a connection? What are the variables you can think of that might skew these numbers?Katherine in the USA asks how as an atheist she could volunteer for a theistic group. Does this organization provide meaningful and tangible resources and services? It depends on the nature of the group and if they are doing these services as a shared sense of humanity. Is there a way to talk with their clients to see what is going on? Are they doing a lot of evangelizing and pushing their agenda on the clients? Our last caller, Chris from the UK, has a thought of Noah's flood possibly being a mythological archetype. There are a lot of flood myths all over the world; we live and die by these cycles of nature as these events work their way into our stories and culture. How would you test for a global flood?Thank you for joining us this week and remember to thank the essential workers!
“Memphis in June” was written by Hoagy Carmichael and Paul Francis Webster for the 1945 George Raft movie “Johnny Angel.” Carmichael himself, playing a character named "Celestial O'Brien,” performed the tune in the film, then revisited it on several subsequent recordings.A Musicians' FavoriteWhile it isn't one of the better known Carmichael compositions, “Memphis in June” is a particular favorite among musicians, covered 40 times over the years in various genres and formats. For instance, 16 years after the movie, Nina Simone delivered perhaps the definitive version of the song. (Of course, almost any song Simone approached was definitively addressed). Simone's jazzy 1961 reading is tinged with a bluer quality that puts the emphasis on Memphis.A half century later, Annie Lennox brought a wonderful interpretation of the composition to her 2014 “Nostalgia” album, a reading full of warmth and feeling that some think are missing from Hoagy's 1945 original.Meanwhile, Bob Dylan gave a hearty shout-out to song on his 1985 “Empire Burlesque” album. Remember how Bob's song “Tight Connection To My Heart” drew this word picture?Well, they're not showing any lights tonightAnd there's no moon. There's just a hot-blooded singer Singing "Memphis in June.” Our Take on the TuneBack in the days when we would ride on — and occasionally even perform on — the good ol' Delta Queen steamboat, it often meant a reunion with a dear friend, the boat's band leader, legendary New Orleans cornetist Connie Jones. We learned “Memphis in June” from Connie. On his album, it was an instrumental, but whenever we'd ask for it on board the boat, Connie would sing it. From a recent rehearsal, this is The Flood's latest take on the tune, conjuring up memories of sunny days up in The Delta Queen's Texas Lounge, seeing Connie, eyes closed and grinning as he purred those sweet lyrics. Here then, in memory of Connie Jones, is Hoagy's love song to summer. This is a public episode. Greetings! Today we have the talented duo of Johnny Angel and Kenneth Leonard who will patiently present questions to callers that cause deep thinking about how to determine what is true.First caller is Ernie from CA who has proof of Jesus. It is because the Bible, which has always been true, talks about giants and we can find fossils of giants all over the world. Then there is Nimrod, who is why we have continents and the earth no longer has Pangea. Where is the connection between all this and god? When is it time to believe something is true? Why is the Bible a reliable source of truth? How do you know what Jesus said about anything? Did you know that the Rig Veda has been around longer than the Bible? Next caller is Sasha from OR who is exploring Reiki and Astrology as spiritual practices. Love is when you are operating through your heart chakra. How do you define spirituality, the concept of love, chakras, and energy? Can these things be measured by any kind of scientific instruments? Why is the medical industry not making money off of Reiki? How do you tell the difference between feeling the effects of these things and something your brain is doing? What is the experimental design for proving these claims? How do you know something exists other than tradition?Mark from MS no longer believes some of the things in the bible such as the original sin, 6,000 year old earth, and the flood, but still considers himself a Christian. He believes in a creator but it should not be taught in schools. Why are you still a Christian? What does it mean for someone to be a Christian? If you don't believe in original sin, what is the purpose of the crucifixion and resurrection? Why do you believe he died in front of his disciples? Is there independent extra-biblical evidence for this? What tools are we using to arrive at our conclusions? Drew from WA would like to know how to respond to friends when they get offended from being told that god isn't real. We say that we don't believe that god exists and ask for evidence. You want to produce a conversation, not a confrontation. If friends are using slurs or hurtful terms, you do not need to hang out with them. Look at some of Anthony Magnabosco's work and Street Epistemology for ideas on how to address this. You do not owe anyone an explanation of who you are. Aelora in OR has a question about advice heard from witches on TikTok that is inducing abortion by taking different herbs. People who have taken this advice ended up in the hospital or dying. They want to know about this in light of Roe Vs. Wade. This is one of the effects that magical thinking has on the mind. There are people that are science educators who listen for this kind of stuff and make response videos. Look for doctors on TikTok such as MD Aware, that address this and tag them so that it can be effectively dealt with. That is it for the show! Keep up the good work and support of our essential workers. See you next week!
Greetings heathens! Join us for today's show with Johnny Angel and Phil Ferguson who tackle questions from callers on how to handle today's challenges when speaking with friends. First caller is Jessica in Ut who asks if atheism can be harmful to mental health. Some people find the truth hard to handle. You are not alone when you feel that all the certainties are gone that used to be there when you had the support system of your church. Recovering from Religion can help with this. Count the good things in life and not just the negative hits. Is the cause of your distress the newly found lack of belief in magical thinking, or is it something else? Next is Dave from NC wants to talk about the driver behind the holocaust being racism. He has an issue with society having racial categories to emphasize the illusion that races are separate. It comes down to definitions and we often talk past each other as humans. It is not our place to say who is and isn't a race or who is in a struggle or not. It is more important to learn from the people who were involved than for us to speculate. Do you recognize that certain people statistically get the short end of the stick in society?Next is B from VA who is talking to a religious friend that does not accept the different between sex and gender. It seems like he says these things to encourage people to hate him. The friend says the LGBTQ community is ruining the world. He also thinks science is wrong about sex and gender. Many people have received their marching orders from a book and some people believe this because it is what they learned growing up. This friend needs to meet more people in the LGBTQ community so his shitty attitude will become less. Our hope is that bigots are dwindling and fading away. Do you feel compelled to be the person that changes your friend's mind on the subject?Dan from OH is next that would like to know how to best converse with his friend who is autistic on theist topics. His friend at work is a Christian Fundamentalist and does not understand why the only atheist he knows does not hate Islam. We are not experts on autism, but talking with people can be different for each person. You can use clever ways to look at the Bible as a club when talking about Christianity and argue literally anything. Maybe there is something on the fringe that you can find that will help with the smallest improvement that can be enough to nudge the asteroid off course. Marcus in TX would like to know how to play off the religious person's superiority to encourage them into being better human beings. The morality that most people follow is not the same that is laid out in their holy book. People just assume that believers are a positive force in the world because they are part of a charity. You are not moral because of the Bible but in spite of the Bible. Ask questions. Do atheists tip better? What percentage of your tithing actually goes to helping people? Thank you all for joining us! We want to hear your experience so please keep calling.

Shelley Fabares began her career tap dancing and modeling from the age three years old. She appeared on such TV shows as Captain Midnight (1954) and Annie Oakley (1954) and at the age 12, she made her professional film debut in the Rock Hudson/Cornell Borchers tearjerker Never Say Goodbye (1956) as Hudson's daughter, and went on to play kid sister roles in the rock 'n' roll-themed Rock, Pretty Baby! (1956) and its sequel Summer Love (1957) both starring John Saxon. Early TV appearances included the Producers' Showcase adaptation of Our Town starring Frank Sinatra and Paul Newman. She was Young Cathy in a Matinee Theatre adaptation of Wuthering Heights. Teen-idol status came with her coming-of-age role as the ever-wholesome daughter "Mary Stone" on The Donna Reed Show (1958). She had a #1 Billboard hit with the song "Johnny Angel." After which, she co-starred with Elvis Presley in the movies Girl Happy (1965), Spinout (1966) and Clambake (1967). Shelley is Golden Globe nominated for her role as the altruistic wife of a dying footballer "Brian Piccolo" in Brian's Song (1971), where she starred opposite James Caan and Billy Dee Williams. She co-starred in the series The Brian Keith Show (1972), The Practice (1976), Highcliffe Manor (1979), the late-night soap spoof Forever Fernwood (1977) and marvelously played the villian opposite Bonnie Franklin in the hit sitcom One Day at a Time (1975). On television, she will forever be associated with her character Christine Armstrong, Craig T. Nelson's resourceful mate on hit series Coach (1989), where she earned two Emmy nominations. Shelley is married to actor Mike Farrell of M*A*S*H (1972). Together, they supplied the voices for Ma and Pa Kent on the Superman: The Animated Series (1996). Shelley and Mike joined us on the podcast to talk about their love story, working with Elvis Presley and Donna Reed, starring on the hit show Coach, her hit song Johnny Angel and so much more.
Happy Heathen Sunday for all who are joining us for today's episode of Talk Heathen starring Jmike with the koala and Johnny Angel!First up we have Josh in AR whose position is that free will has to exist and if it does not exist, punishing criminals is amoral since they have no control over their actions. He believes that human thought is too complicated to be attributed to just brain cells interacting. This is not an argument for belief, but rather stating what you think. Defaulting to moral responsibility and calling when you are already angry is only clouding your judgement. Calm down bro, why are you so angry? We are not going to stop removing criminals from society if we can't change their behavior.Next is Andrew from Canada asking about god's grace. What good is god if we can do whatever we want? We have never met god nor do we believe in the existence of god so therefore we would not believe in the corresponding grace. Human beings can be nice or cruel to each other, and sometimes get away with being cruel. Suspiciously, god tells people to do what they already want to do, and sometimes that is cruelty. God's grace is a cop out.Roberto in Italy wants to learn about consciousness and what constitutes the beginning. We would like to know how you would apply this as a fundamental feature of consciousness and what utility this would have. This topic has not made a lot of progress in philosophy. This can be considered identity and is a fun thing to look at. Keep reading and thinking.Jared in ID would like some opinions on how to talk with family about extremist groups and their symbolism. Anytime I try to bring up anything, one of my family members shuts it down. Try asking your family questions about what they think rather than stating what you believe; you will be putting them on the defensive. Open yourself up to a true conversation that takes place over a lifetime, not confrontations. Be aware of how your words are received. People will not be responsible for independent beliefs when they can't even be responsible for their own beliefs. There are layers to it and you have to peel them and break down the walls until you get to the center.Paul in NC would like to talk about the tale of Moses and how it lines up with the cycles of Osiris. You are preaching to the choir. Moses was most likely copy and pasted from other myths. The claims that surround the being itself do not fit. There is a substantial amount of research into the history of the Bible and the apocrypha. Thank you for the suggestions; we do read a lot of what is sent to us.Quit complaining about the masks and get the vaccine already. Enough of this nonsense. Thank you for joining us today for these fascinating topics! Peace out and we love you.

Hello all you atheists (and theists) out there! The hosts of Atheist Experience today are our very own Matt Dillahunty and Johnny Angel. Not only is Johnny a co-host but he co-produces the Non-Prophets reboot! Nice hats Johnny, very clever. Our first caller, Heath in TX asks how you can tell if a claim is extraordinary or not? Does it comport to our human experiences? All claims warrant as much evidence as is needed to believe that claim. You need different levels of evidence for the sky is blue versus there is a god. Adam in Romania asks advice on how to deal with an irrational fear of death and dealing with grief? These fears hit Adam mainly right before he goes to sleep. Johnny has had these kinds of episodes and gives his advice. Contact the secular therapy project and see if they have resources in Romania. They talked about what an atheist funeral should look like. Meerkat in UT asks why he should bother convincing an atheist that god exists if that atheist doesn't want to convert to Christianity. The answer to your question in your Bible, according to your own beliefs. Do you know what an atheist wants to believe?Ray in Colorado argues that GDP is higher in Christian nations than others. It is higher than all other nations, so what? The USA is a secular, not Christian, nation with a secular constitution. Ray disagrees but fails to make a valid point that the USA is Christian. Out of the 10 commandments, only 2 are part of any laws here. Catholic Traditionalist claims he can prove God by asking a few questions. Matt tries to answer his questions but the caller only wants to troll on behalf of a previous caller. Be an honest interlocutor if you call back. Joe in MO claims 2 of the first 5 claims in the Skeptic’s Annotated Bible are disproven by reading the Bible. Matt addressed this in a recent video he posted and we don’t accept the claims in the Bible. Joe fails to show how he knows his Bible code or interpretation is correct. Cool story bro.Last caller, David in Canada asks why we do not feel the call to Jesus Christ. Matt thought he did feel a calling toward Jesus, he was going to be a pastor after all. David talks about God healing his cancer but fails to prove how it could be god. Why can’t a god just heal you of cancer without making you go through treatments and surgeries? Thanks for tuning in, we are so glad you joined us today. Keep wearing your masks and please go vote!

So, the jagoffs interviewed legendary pitcher Steve Blass, Pirates announcer Greg Brown and the guy with all the memorable gadgets, Johnny Angel, at the Maz statue. Add Irv Kotovsky, who was at the game all those years ago, and a 60 year celly is an understatement. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Shelley Fabares, Jennifer Keishin Armstrong. Shelley Fabares looks back at her remarkable career, from The Donna Reed Show to “Johnny Angel”, and her Emmy-nominate work on Coach. Johnny Angel joins Larry and Kevin to discuss) the grand re-opening of his museum tonight (Johnny Angel's Ginchy Stuff).

In today’s episode of the Atheist Experience, Matt Dillahunty is joined by Johnny Angel. Welcome back to the co-host chair Johnny! We loved having you on with us a couple weeks back, glad to see you again!Let’s get to calls. The first caller in the queue is a returning caller, Javier from Florida. He would like to discuss how he had a street discussion with a preacher against theism and it had him in a bit of a fluster. It sounds like he is almost on his way out and clinging to religion it seems. Good luck to you Javier!Next up, Dormand from New Jersey claims that he can prove a god and this god is all powerful. He’s called before and we’ve gone over this before with him. But this time he claims he can prove it with mathematics and philosophy! Show your work then, I’m waiting for the equations and eventual fallacies. Nathan is up next, claiming he has good reasons to believe in god, and it’s FAITH. It’s our problem we don’t believe because we are atheists, man. C’mon dude, give us something to work with here. You’re not providing us with anything to discuss here. FYI, faith is NOT a good enough reason.David had a vision in 1994! The room turned a hue of pink and was visited by someone (maybe Jesus) who was 10 feet tall. This person spoke and he provided instructions to not cut their hair and to meet them on a mountain in 2011. Hmmm… Was it drugs and alcohol? Why didn’t he explore this further? Sounds like an argument from personal experience… What the heck is in the water in Colorado??? Next up, Zachary in Alabama wants to talk about how incorrectly atheists assess evidence and have an inherent presupposition against believing that Christianity is true. He continues to say that it is “totally true.” It isn’t true until it is proven to be true and faith on it’s own is not a reliable path to truth. Oh boy and we end on the morality of slavery, Matt’s (so not) favorite topic. Our last caller of the day, Raul from Texas. He claims he can prove intelligent design. Look at the stars, especially the constellation Orion, The Big Dipper/Ursa Major, and Scorpio! We are blind to these constellations being figures that were constructed by god. Wow! Humans time over time look for patterns and this is definitely one of those times. Sigh.Have a great week folks, we’ll see you next week!
What can I say about Paul Peterson. He was one of the most engaging, forthright and entertaining interviews we have done. This one is a must listen! From meeting Walt Disney and being one of the first few Mouskateers to becoming the star of a number one ranked television show and having a top 10 hit on the Billboard charts, Paul Peterson has done and seen it all. In addition, he has written several books that tell the story of child actors in the early days and the abuse they endured. He created an organization called “A Minor Consideration” that brings their plight to light. Paul played Jeff Stone, son of Dr. Alex and Donna Stone on The Donna Reed Show in the late 50's and early 60's. The Reed Show was only on for 8 seasons but was a ratings hit for the then young ABC television network. Although very similar to other sitcoms of the day, The Donna Reed Show was also different. Consider the fact that Donna WORKED! Gasp…what is this world coming to. She was a nurse on the show. But with a cast like Carl Betz, Paul Peterson and Shelley Farbares it was destined for success. Listen to our interview with Paul and hear how he launched a singing career and ended up with a hit record. “My Dad” went to #6 for Paul while Shelley's hit “Johnny Angel” made for two teen idols on the same show!! Paul touches on all this and more in our 30 minute interview. He is fascinating and talented and the backstage trivia he gives us is well worth the “Wait, I Know This” seal of approval. Take a listen and let us know your thoughts. We will most definitely have Paul back later to talk more about his work with child actor rights.

This episode Wal and Jarred talk the usual crap plus they have the Samoan Stallion Johnny Angel in the studio Running time: 0:33:40
From television, to movies, to hit records...Shelley Fabares has done it all, and she continues to do so with unmatched grace, humility, and instinctive talent. One of Hollywood’s most enduring and beloved leading ladies, Shelley openly shares the details of her childhood as a department store “fashion model”, and how that led to her first television appearance at the age of 10. In constant onscreen demand from an early age, she appeared in more than 50 television series, from early classics like Annie Oakley to her breakthrough role on The Donna Reed Show. Shelley shares memories of her eight years playing “Mary Stone” and working closely with TV legends Donna Reed, Paul Petersen, and Carl Betz, and then describes the unique experience of becoming an international teen idol with the release of her #1 hit recording of Johnny Angel. As the only female co-star to appear in three of Elvis Presley's movies (Clambake, Girl Happy and Spinout), Shelley describes what it was like meeting “the King” for the first time...and how she still thinks of him as her “favorite leading man”. Shelley then goes on to recount her adult life as an actress on shows like Love, American Style, The Rockford Files, and Fantasy Island and her professional joy working opposite James Caan in the era’s most memorable television movie, Brian’s Song. This is an intimate, open-hearted dialogue with a legendary actress as she shares the realities of Hollywood’s type-casting in the Sixties while giving us a real sense of the personal and professional values that brought her years of success on major hits like One Day at a Time and Coach. It's an engaging conversation with a truly classy lady as she reveals the personal side of the Hollywood "actor's life" that you won’t want to miss!

Welcome to this episode of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site! This time, we look back to the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang. The innovative little car was an instant hit, and became a beloved symbol of Americana. We all have memories of seeing these great cars around throughout the years. It was a sporty, economical, vehicle and the original models are very collectible today. Join us as we look back and share memories of this iconic car. Next we salute Shelley Fabares, who turned 70 earlier in 2014. We remember Shelley's career in television, notably her role as Mary Stone on the Donna Reed show. We also listen to her hit tune "Johnny Angel". We update you on John Coleman, who guested on our program in 2013. John retired a few months ago, and we let you know what he's been up to. Although he has retired, he still remains active on line and we tell you how to see his blog posts. Finally, we look back at the golden age of Double Features. Remember going to the movie theater and watching two movies for the price of one? Double Features were a common event at theaters for many years. How did these Double Features come into being? There's a whole business side to this history but audiences benefitted by having a whole evening's entertainment for a very low price. Listen in and find out. Our Retro Commercials are for the Ford Mustang, and for Peter Paul Mounds candy bars. Join us on Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, on the Galaxy Nostalgia Network!
