And my girl got her own episode :). There are so many cool facts about Whiteout that I never knew about her. Who knew she had associative synesthesia and was related to every single NightWing animus?! Not me, that's for sure. By the way, the link to Whiteout's Wings of Fire Wiki page and her Amino page will be linked here in the description. Hope you guys have a happy new year. Remember, a new year doesn't mean a new you. A new year means an elevated you. You don't need to completely revamp yourself. You just need to focus what's gonna make those already great parts of you better. There's nothing wrong with you. There's nothing that needs to be fixed about you. The discovery of simply nose breathing and why will blow your mind toThe art of breath affects everything including the ability to reverse ADHDReverse asthma, allergies, scoliosis and much much more.Change your breath and you change your mood your chemistry your physiologyOur evolution has changed the shape of our skulls our airways nasal cavities, our mouths have become smaller and our brains bigger. Add to that the change to eating processed food which has put an end to chewing has culminated in massive problems insomnia and sleep apnea, BUT this can all be reversed by nose breathing. I would love to know your thoughts and experiences of reading this bookYou will never breathe in the same way again.https://www.mrjamesnestor.com/find me at www.katiestibbs,com. Paul Schrimpf, Jeff Gourdji, and Priya Aneja, hosts of Prophet's brand new Healthcare Transformers podcast, are in the house to share some provocative predictions about pretty much everything: from the “usual suspects” of rising consumer and patient expectations, to ever-advancing technology and intensifying perennial pressure to reduce costs and increase access. They dig deep into areas that we might not typically associate with digital transformation, and explain how they can have a big impact. All that, plus the Flava of the Week about the big picture. How do we see financial and staffing shortages differently when we zoom out and ask why we should be more consumer first?  Thanks to Persado for spreading the awesome, yo! The Art of Manliness
How the Desire for Status Explains (Pretty Much) Everything

Being famous. Knowing someone famous. Getting a laugh after telling a joke. Getting a good grade. Getting likes on a social media post. Winning a video game. Cooking a tasty meal. Being good looking. Having inside knowledge. Sharing a good recommendation. We often think of status exclusively in terms of wealth, but it's actually at play everywhere, in every situation where we get the feeling of being of value, where we feel ever so slightly elevated in our relative social position. The universal human desire for status greatly influences our culture, as well as our own behavior and the ups and downs of our mood. We would all do well then to understand status better, and my guest today can help you do that. His name is Will Storr and he's the author of The Status Game: On Social Position and How We Use It. Today on the show, Will walks us through why status in its infinite forms is so important to people, the ways it can be gained through dominance, virtue, and success, and how status games take place both within groups and between them. We talk about the good of status — how it can give us a psychological high and motivate the pursuit of skill, competence, and achievement — as well as its dark sides, including the way that a loss in status, and the resulting feeling of humiliation, leads to depression and violence. Will explains how status can be gained by enforcing the rules of a group and punishing those who seem to be lowering the overall status of the tribe, and how this punitive dynamic plays out online. We also discuss how when you try to eliminate certain status games by making things equal, people just find other status games to play, and that when one hierarchy is destroyed, another simply rises to take its place. We end our conversation with what we can do, if the status game is inescapable, to play it in a healthy way.Resources Related to the PodcastAoM series on statusAoM Article: How Men Are Evolved for FightingStudy on how mindfulness training can lead to feelings of superiorityHikikomori — Japanese who have withdrawn themselves from societyAoM Article: How to REALLY Be Alpha Like the WolfAoM Podcast #734: How Moral Grandstanding Is Ruining Our Public DiscoursePotlatchEnvy: A Theory of Social Behaviour by Helmut SchoeckConnect With Will StorrWill on TwitterWill's Website

BGBS Episode 004: Get It Done: Work Hard & Figure Things OutIf you're a graphic designer, snowboarder, and/or skateboarder, then you probably know about preeminent designer Aaron Draplin of Draplin Design Company based in Portland, Ore. He tours the world to speak about his career, family, and even politics. He has created logos and done other work for major companies, including Patagonia and Nike. Aaron is a branding world celebrity now, but it wasn't always that way. You'll Learn… Background on Draplin Design Company How Aaron's upbringing affects how he approaches his work and views the world of design People are good at saying, ‘No,' but Aaron takes every job and does what he says he will do How to get through rough times: Work hard, don't waste money, buckle down to pay your bills, and accept what you need to do Get It Done: Make good use of your time, do your job, and figure things out Aaron's Mom and Dad did not have a lot, but who cares – they were cool; they gave him Legos, love, and all the basics he needed Family's blue-collar background helps supply Aaron's design style Fight for people and stand up for them; don't be mean and unfriendly, but accommodating, appreciative, and personable Aaron stays relevant by sharing his experience and knowing when to remove himself from a job Aaron wrestles with faith and existentialism and tries to be cognizant of and gentle with every lifeform Besides making money, what other kinds of paychecks are possible? Volunteer, be ethical/compassionate and help others The New Normal: Aaron communicates his story and is not afraid of offending others, but knows he has to be careful because people will come after him; stay positive Aaron loves the beauty, hard work that goes into design; function over fashion Is there any such thing as an original logo? It's possible to come up with something new – that's what Aaron wants to do Resources Draplin Design Co. Pretty Much Everything by Aaron Draplin Draplin Design Co.
