In today's world, it often seems that conflict and division are widespread. However, over the course of human history, there have been many different phases on our evolutionary journey – and research indicates that we may now be on the precipice of shifting back toward greater unity. Making this brighter, more harmonious future a reality begins with the choices we make at an individual level.  Dr. Jude Currivan is a cosmologist, planetary healer, futurist, author, Evolutionary Leaders Circle member and, previously, a senior UK-based international business woman. She has a Master's degree in physics from Oxford University specializing in cosmology and quantum physics and a Ph.D. from the University of Reading in archaeology, researching ancient cosmologies. Having travelled to over 80 countries and worked with traditional wisdom-keepers, she is a lifelong researcher into the unitive nature of reality. Jude is the author of seven non-fiction books, including the award-winning “The Cosmic Hologram” and “The Story of Gaia.” Since 1998, she has been in service to collective and planetary healing and conscious evolution. In 2017, she co-founded “WholeWorld-View,” aiming to empower transformational change in the world, and in 2024, she launched a short film titled, “A Radical Guide to Reality.” As our guest in Episode 229 of The Mindset Game® podcast, Jude discusses the following: Our current phase on our evolutionary journey — where we are beginning to realize that we are both unique individuals and also parts of one human, planetary family — and why collaboration rather than competition is crucial for stepping into the next phase The concept of the cosmic hologram, including fractals and attractor patterns, and why it offers a hopeful vision for our future Why it's crucial for leaders to realize that our current paradigm is unsustainable, as well as insights to help them shift toward a more enlightened future To access Jude's short film and a wealth of other resources, visit https://www.wholeworld-view.org.  To learn more about The Mindset Game® podcast, visit www.TheMindsetGame.com. Antisemitism is on the rise today. From synagogue shootings by white nationalists, to right-wing politicians and media figures pushing George Soros conspiracy theories, it's clear that exclusionary nationalist movements are growing. By spreading division and fear, they put Jews, along with other marginalized groups and multiracial democracy itself, at risk. And since the outbreak of war in Gaza, debates around antisemitism have become more polarized and high-stakes than ever. How can we stand in solidarity with Palestinians seeking justice, while also avoiding antisemitism — and resisting those who seek to conflate the two? How do we forge the coalitions across communities that we need, in order to overcome the politics of division and fear? Author of 7 nonfiction books, latterly award-winning and best-selling The Cosmic Hologram (2017) and The Story of Gaia (2022) she shares evidence at all scales and many fields of investigation, of an emergent understanding of a living, loving and evolutionary Universe – meaningfully existing and purposefully evolving as a unitive, multidimensional entity.   Since 1998, she has been in service to collective and planetary healing, from a perspective that – without blame - we are nonetheless traumatized by a dis-ease of separation – and that an evidence-based unitive perception and narrative is vital to support us in re-membering we are inseparable; from each other and the whole world. Regina Carey joins me on The Prosperous Empath® this week for a truly heart-centered conversation about neurodivergence and how it is often interconnected with being an empath and/or HSP. Regina is a special ed teacher turned Executive Coach who has spent the last three decades educating, empowering, and advocating for those who feel stuck, yet long to take that next great leap. Recently, she returned from an adventurous trip to Machu Picchu and shares her experience of how saying yes to physical challenges has helped her balance intense emotions as an empath. But something I deeply appreciate about this conversation are Regina's insights on neurodivergence, especially ADHD, and the importance of managing energy and advocating for oneself. Welcome back to Higher Density Living! We are joined by HDL co-host, Jason Rigby, and a special guest Dimitri Moraitis, co-founder and spiritual co-director of the Spiritual Arts Institute. Dimitri has established the Institute as a premier destination for metaphysical learning. His insightful co-authorship in books like “Change Your Aura, Change Your Life” and “Heaven and Your Spiritual Evolution”  making significant contributions to spiritual literature. A gifted speaker and teacher, he has shared his profound insights across the country, enriching lives through workshops, radio shows, and training classes. His journey from a promising filmmaking career, redirected by a profound spiritual awakening, to becoming a luminary in metaphysical teachings, exemplifies a deep commitment to spiritual growth and enlightenment. For this episode, we tackle the essence metaphysics in Spiritual evolution as best practice in life.   To better grasp the metaphysical sense, understanding the soul's development, and the practice of meditation, education plays a key role. By practicing meditation it helps individuals connect with their inner selves, fostering a deeper understanding beyond external influences. In addition to spiritual growth, we encourage trust in oneself, embracing the belief that fortune favors the bold. Taking calculated risks, not necessarily radical ones, is essential for personal and intellectual development. We advocate for breaking routines, even in simple activities like driving to work, to keep the mind flexible. This adaptability is crucial as repeated actions can create neural pathways, a concept known as neuroplasticity. By staying open to new experiences, we enable the creation of new neural pathways, paving the way for fresh opportunities.   Meditation is particularly beneficial in this regard, serving as a tool to attune oneself to the inner self. Unlike external actions, true meditation involves physical stillness, allowing individuals to tap into a deeper, more profound part of themselves and connect with a greater life force.   Additionally, we address the common tendency to fall into "bubble thinking," where individuals become entrenched in a particular mindset. By promoting flexibility in thought and embracing new perspectives through diverse experiences, we empower our students to break free from limiting mental bubbles and foster a continuous journey of growth and inspiration.   Our tendency to remain within a fixed mindset limits our perspectives, leading us to seek validation from people or situations that align with our existing beliefs. This closed-minded approach prevents us from exploring alternative viewpoints. The art of living, often overlooked in our current emphasis on intellect and narrow scientific definitions, requires a balance between a strong intellect and an inspirational mind.   Consider individuals who excel academically, earning top grades from a young age but struggle when tasked with thinking creatively, such as writing a Ph.D. thesis. This imbalance arises from an educational focus on test success and analytical thinking rather than nurturing creative thought. Strengthening both intellect and inspiration is crucial for a holistic approach to life.   Metaphysics, often misunderstood as something esoteric, actually means "after physics." It suggests looking beyond the physical world to comprehend the deeper reality of life. According to Indian metaphysical philosophy, particularly in Hinduism, Upanishads, and Vedanta, the physical world is not the origin but a creation born of the spiritual. You are not merely your body; you inhabit it. Liberating ourselves from the illusion of interpreting the physical world as the only reality allows us to recognize our spiritual essence.   Metaphysical teachings propose that our identification with the physical world creates an illusion known as Maya. To break free from this illusion, we must drop false principles and perceive life as it truly is. This realization involves understanding ourselves as immortal sparks of life, part of a vast ocean of life called Brahman. Achieving enlightenment allows us to rejoin this ocean and experience a state of bliss.   Buddhist philosophy aligns with these ideas, emphasizing the importance of waking up from false perceptions that cause suffering. The story of Buddha, witnessing old age, sickness, and death for the first time, prompts his quest for a deeper meaning to life. Upon discovering the truth, he dedicates himself to teaching others how to liberate themselves from suffering.   In essence, life is a school, and part of our journey involves evolving the spark of life within us, our soul. As we grow, our awareness expands, allowing us to perceive the richness of life more fully. Phenomena like seeing auras, often attributed to special gifts, are seen as latent abilities present in everyone, requiring individuals to follow their hearts and resonate with their own truths.   Discover more about Dimitri Moraitis's spiritual teachings by visiting of his co-founding Spiritual Arts Institute's official website and connecting on social media: LinkedIn and Facebook Page.  Find out more on her exclusive online courses on metaphysical training.     As always, Higher Density Living reserves no dogma because only the truth prevails in the universe. Today I'm having a conversation with my friend Theresa Garvin, who is a LICSW,  a transformational coach, and the owner and founder of The Life You Imagine. Theresa has been providing psychotherapy services to children, teens, adults, and families for over 35 years. After seeing the positive and rapid changes in her own life from transformational coaching, she became certified as a Life Mastery Consultant in 2020, and has been providing coaching to adults since then.  After sharing with one another that we both have ADHD, Theresa recommended that I read the book A Radical Guide for Women with ADHD by Sari Solden MS, who pioneered working with women and ADHD , and Michelle Frank, PsyD. Not only is this book a comprehensive guide for women with ADHD to increase their understanding and self-acceptance but Solden and Frank also take the reader through an action plan for women with ADHD to identify and pursue their dreams. This book affirmed for both Theresa and me why we love our work as coaches. Although Theresa helps adults and families decide what they want to transform in four main areas of their life, while I help people to create and take action on a vision for their health, we both provide principles, practices, support, and guidance for our clients to create powerful results in their lives which they absolutely love!  Theresa can be reached at:  https://www.lifeyouimagine.org https://www.facebook.com/theresa.h.garvin/  where you can check out her launching the book, Short Sweet and Sacred, Volume 3

Her areas of specialization include women's issues, inattentive ADHD, and the emotional consequences and healing process for adults who grew up with undiagnosed ADHD. Sam spoke to Sari as part of the Women's ADHD Empowerment Festival. Sari says that living with ADHD is a chronic struggle. “Take the medication to treat the symptoms but also move towards acceptance of your whole self and do not discount the pain and suffering as they form the whole of you and knowing your brain”. We discussed that people with ADHD tends to have a distorted sense of self of how we view ourselves and what this means is when we work towards embracing our new identity following a diagnosis, you can't do this alone. You need to work with someone who values you, champions you, and can help you move towards your own meaningful goals. Culture encourages girls and women to exhibit both traditional “feminine” qualities, such as being empathic, good with relationships, nice, obedient, good mothers, and home-organizers, as well as traditional “masculine” qualities, such as being assertive, competitive, academically driven, and career-focused. However, when girls display disruptive, hyperactive, impulsive, or disorganized behavior, they are at risk of harsher social judgment compared to their male counterparts because they violate the feminine societal norms. For starters, ADHD and resulting Executive Dysfunction in girls and women can turn their lives upside down and in an attempt to avoid social sanctions, many of them spend excessive amounts of energy trying to hide their challenges, which in turn go unnoticed and hence untreated. On this episode, psychotherapist, consultant and author, Sari Solden, discusses why girls and women with ADHD get diagnosed much later than a typical child with ADHD and how best to help alleviate their personal shame and struggles with the unrelenting societal pressure of needing to “prove it to the world” that they are worthy to be given opportunities. An essential component of improving Executive Function skills is building self-knowledge and constructing a personal narrative of a wholesome self that recognizes the common humanity in all of our experiences. Instead of framing self-work or self-change as “fixing something that is broken”, the best therapeutic way to empower girls and women with ADHD is to help them invest in their own future-self.About Sari Solden, MSSari Solden, M.S, is a psychotherapist who has counseled adults with ADHD for over 30 years. BUT I thought of ADHDers as bold, rash, outspoken and disorganized risk takers with overflowing energy. I, on the other hand, was a careful, shy, sensitive overthinker who ran out of steam by the afternoon.  It didn't seem possible to match up the view I had of ADHD with how I saw myself as an HSP (highly sensitive person). I am blown away by the women who walk the journey alongside me and turn challenges into something they can share with others. Jodie McGrath does exactly that through sharing her current journey alongside light bulb moments and an adult diagnosis of ADHD. Listen as Amy and Jodie discuss: Finding other ways to get things done rather than feeling like you need to do it all and making it mean something about our character, rather than about our brain. The internal dialogue. How we often come up with reasons to explain our behaviours without realising we've spent a lifetime of feeling that we aren't able to meet expectations of ourselves and others. Everyday tasks of organisation, cleaning and other coordinated efforts which can feel overwhelming if we let them. Accepting that it is a continual process and gradually getting to the point working with our brain, rather than feeling like we're fighting it. Jodie acknowledges she is very much still in the stage of discovery and curiosity beside her somewhat recent diagnosis. As with motherhood, some moments are definitely easier than others. Yet, the strength to parent with ADHD with the modern demands of motherhood is absolutely inspirational within this episode. Episode 63 with Sari Solden. "A neurodiverse brain isn't something to be fixed. Only dogs and furniture get fixed." If you had asked me when I first started this podcast who my dream guest would be, I would have said today's guest: psychotherapist, author and researcher Sari Solden. When she wrote Women and Attention Deficit Disorder back in the mid-90s, she was one of the first to look at how neurodiversity appears differently in women than in men and why that is. Now 30 years later, Sari continues to counsel adults with ADHD and specialize in unique ways in which ADHD presents in women. In addition to her groundbreaking research and her books on ADHD, she serves on the professional advisory board of ADDA (the Attention Deficit Disorder Association) and was the recipient of their award for outstanding service by a helping professional. Her books include Women with ADD, Journeys Through ADDulthood, and the workbook A Radical Guide for Women with ADHD (co-written with Michelle Frank), which in my opinion should be required reading for all late-diagnosis women. I was such an absolute pleasure and honor to chat with Sari, and we talk about the connections she made 30 years ago when it comes to what ADHD looks like in women, why ADHD is overlooked in girls and why women tend to get diagnosed much later in life. We discuss traits that are unique to women, as well as the current “trendiness” of an ADHD diagnosis … and Sari reveals how she rename ADHD if she could. Hi and welcome to episode 89 of the studio insider art podcast. It's a new season and it's also ADHD awareness month, so I'm kicking off with something that I haven't done for a really long time- a solo episode. I've been pretty open about my journey with ADHD of late, but what I've not talked about much on the podcast is my journey with other aspects of my mental health such as anxiety, insomnia and depression. And the truth is, that the two are very related and intertwined. So, I'm sharing really transparently with you today about what my mental health journey has looked like, the treatments I've explored, and how my recent diagnosis of ADHD has brought a tonne of clarity to my overall mental health picture. I feel really nervous about sharing this so openly with you, but I know it's this kind of transparency that can help others the most. This episode won't be for everyone, but I know that there will be a few people out there that will probably hear something they really needed to. I also just need to say, this is a personal story. I'm not a medical professional and this episode is not medical advice. I hope it's helpful. In this episode, I talk about: what it's like to find out you have ADHD at the age of 46 and how it's changed my life most common misconceptions about taking medication for depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. what these symptoms looked like and how they impacted me in my university years the therapy and medication that has worked for me and contributed to my overall health and wellbeing Links: Two excellent and informative podcast interviews with Dr. Russel Barkley who is an authority on adult ADHD. https://ihaveadhd.com/podcast-episode-120-adhd-medications/ https://ihaveadhd.com/podcast-episode-119-interview-with-dr-russell-barkley/ Learn more about V.A.S.T and also the most up do date science on the ADHD brain in this wonderful book: https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/53231680-adhd-2-0 Another great book that I didn't talk about but has really helped me as a woman is this one: https://www.audible.com.au/pd/A-Radical-Guide-for-Women-with-ADHD-Audiobook/1705297447?source_code=M2MORSH051016002X&ipRedirectOverride=true&gclid=CjwKCAjwtfqKBhBoEiwAZuesiGxFoAhf0jlmEnQP955rpsuJsxb-G5eUIAuTpoxP-Nnvf8cc7bL01hoC9PgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds My fave podcasts so far on ADHD: ADHD for Smart Ass Women I have ADHD --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/susan-nethercote/message

This week Tracy welcomes Grace L'Orange to episode #135 of ADHD for Smart Ass Women. Grace is a school psychologist, behavior specialist, and suicide prevention coordinator working in public education with a B.S. in Psychology and an advanced Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. Grace is passionate about equity, inclusion, and advocacy for all students, especially those with disabilities and other differences. In addition to her direct work with students, she collaborates with and educates other adults to better understand and address the specific impacts these differences have on daily life.   Grace recently implemented systemic changes in her district by developing updated policies and procedures for special education and suicide prevention/intervention focusing on equity and best practice. She serves as Director-At-Large on the board for her state school psychologist association. She also collaborates with the broader community through the Suicide Prevention Coalition in her county. Initially drawn to school psychology due to the school struggles of her brother with ADHD, little did Grace know that she would be diagnosed much later at the age of 32. Since then, Grace has been integrating this new ADHD facet of her life in the context of being an educator working with students with disabilities and behavior challenges.   In this episode Grace shares:  The circumstances surrounding her ADHD diagnosis What has changed since she was diagnosed  How learning about her ADHD shifted her understanding of how ADHD presents in girls and helped her better notice symptoms that are often overlooked in female students Information surrounding the alarming number of ADHD women who have attempted suicide and the societal factors that may contribute to these high rates Signs of suicidal ideation to look out for and ways you can responsibly help someone who may be at risk (resources listed down below) How she uses audio journaling to move past perfectionism, externalize her thoughts in order to process them, and speak more kindly to herself  Her key to living successfully with ADHD   Resources:    National Suicide Prevention Lifeline | 1-800-273-8255 https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/help-someone-else/ Mental Health Crisis Response Program: 1-888-989-9990 (for parents of children through age 17) Trevor Lifeline: 1-866-488-7386 (for LGBTQ youth) Question. We interview friend of the show Dr. Daniel Wayne Lee, longtime organizer, people's politician, and activist and now vice mayor of Culver City, CA, on the merits and challenges to the inside/outside approach to systemic change. We talk about direct action and civil disobedience -- what distinguishes them from one another and why both are necessary. And of course, we learn what radicalized Daniel to choose this life of fighting tirelessly for racial, economic and environmental justice. What's agitating us? We vent about the political + corporate corruption happening in the ranks of the European Union/World Trade Organization that will likely prevent the release of COVID-19 related patents, which would allow all nations to develop their own vaccines and therapies. We also go deep on the new Texas abortion laws, and what makes them even more barbaric than previous “heartbeat bills” we've seen -- and we discuss some of our own personal experiences navigating the reproductive healthcare system. And another Twitter Roundup of Zionist hijinks, brought to you by Shelly. Hosted by Milly Harmon, Shelly Williams, Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap, and Jessica Munger. We interview our friend and radical badass Eleanor Goldfield, about her new film “Hard Road of Hope” which documents the long history and current state of resistance and organizing in West Virginia against the rapacious coal mining and fracking industries that have all but destroyed their communities and the land that sustains them. We also go deep on the meanings and usefulness of words and labels, like “activist” and “anarchist”...and art's role in revolution. What's agitating us? The tension between all the good faith in humanity vibes that comes with successful mutual aid organizing efforts, but also the frustration of knowing that the support is only just temporary and not systemic; laws being passed in states to whitewash U.S. history and punish teachers who teach children the truth; and the existential horror that is the forever reality of plastic waste. Hosted by Milly Harmon, Shelly Williams, Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap, and Jessica Munger. A Democracy Unlimited Media Collaborative production. Special thanks to Jason Bayless and A Radical Guide for production support and Alfonso Saldaña for support on graphics. Transition music in this episode is from Eleanor's EP, No Solo. Resources discussed: *Find Mutual Aid networks in your community *If you haven't yet, you need to read A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn (and yes, Kaitlin is right, the audio version is narrated by Matt Damon and Howard Zinn) *Eleanor's work: Art Killing Apathy website. A couple definitions and acronyms mentioned: *BIPOC = Black, Indigenous and People of Color. *LGBTQ = Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans and Queer. *Critical Race Theory = A race-equity framework and approach to understanding educational inequality and structural racism to find solutions that lead to greater justice. CRT seeks to critically examine the law as it intersects with issues of race and to challenge the mainstream liberal approaches to racial justice. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/agitated-podcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/agitated-podcast/support

No one reading your psychology blog? It is probably because of your topic or title. I'm sharing a foolproof strategy for writing psycho-education posts people want to read. https://innovationinmentalhealth.lpages.co/blogging-challenge-sign-up-overwhelm/ (Sign up to join the 5-day FREE challenge NOW) Choosing your topicGood psychoeducation blog posts answer real questions that real people have in their real lives. Real is the important word here. Whatever we write about it has to be something that a person would REALLY type in to their search engine. There is no one size fits all for this. For example, if you are writing a blog for yoga instructors about how to incorporate more meditation into their practice a problem like “why can't I get my class attendees to do diaphragmatic breathing?” would probably be very “real” for them. However, your average stressed out bank manager probably wouldn't relate to the term “diaphragmatic breathing” at all. There are some simple steps you can take to figure this out. 1.    Know your ideal client(s). Listen again to the https://psychologists.drrosie.co.uk/the-business-of-psychology/ideal-client-avatar-psychologists-therapists-marketing (podcast episode on creating ideal client avatars) for your product or service and pick just one for this blog post. Then talk to them! There are lots of ways to find them and talk to them and I go into this in the episode. 2.    Record what questions they ask you (note common words and phrases). Go through your emails, voicemails, notes from sessions. What do they tell you they worry about? 3.    Record what questions they ask each other (note more common words and phrases). What is commonly talked about in FB groups where they hang out? What do you overhear? 4.    Read book reviews on Amazon on your topic and again note key words that reviewers are using to describe the problems the book solves. For example, if I am writing a blog for women diagnosed with ADHD I could look at the comments left on Amazon under “A Radical Guide for Women With ADHD.” 5.    Use a tool like https://answerthepublic.com/ (“Answer the Public”) to sense check the questions you have come up with and add some more. 6.    Use https://keywordseverywhere.com/ (keywords everywhere) to check search volumes. Avoid terms with very high search volumes as it will be hard to stand out in the crowd but do go for something that has some people searching for it. Choosing your title Now you know the sorts of topics people are really searching for and have a list of words they use to describe the problem. It is time to come up with a title that will make them want to read. I do this first so that I keep the structure of my blog tight around one very specific issue. Key principles for titles 1.    Name the problem not the solution. People don't search for CBT for anxiety. They search for “what to do when I can't stop worrying?” They don't search for “top tips to improve your attachment with your child”. They search for “what do I do if my three year old hates me?” We type our problems into search engines. But most of the time we title our blog posts with OUR chosen solution. If you name the problem rather than imposing a solution in your title you are more likely to come up as a match to someone's search term. Your content “snippet” which we will create later in the week then needs to tell them that you have the solution to the problem. 2.    Call out your ideal client's demographic and situation. You probably know already that it is best to be very specific with your blog titles as google can be crowded and it is VERY crowded in the mental health space. To be honest none of us have a hope of our own website's coming near the top of google search results if we write about big topics like “depression” as all the slots will...
