What if the most powerful leadership tool wasn't a strategy or skill—but the courage to show up as your true self, even when it scares you? Showing up as your true self in leadership is important while bravery and self-awareness enable leaders to inspire and engage with others. In this episode of the Inspirational Leadership podcast, I speak with Kimberly Davis about practical strategies for measuring impact, staying values-aligned under pressure, and why bravery is the key to influential leadership. Kimberly is a TEDx speaker and her book, Brave Leadership: Unleash Your Most Confident, Authentic, and Powerful Self to Get the Results You Need, is the 2019 winner of the Benjamin Franklin Silver Award for Business and Career; an Amazon Bestseller; and was named as the number one book to read in Inc. Magazine's “The 12 Most Impactful Books to Read in 2018”. An expert on authentic leadership, Kimberly Davis shares her inspirational message of personal power, responsibility, and impact with organizations across the country and teaches leadership programs worldwide; most notably, her program “OnStage Leadership”. Listen in to learn why traditional definitions of success leave leaders feeling empty and how aligning actions with personal impact creates fulfillment and results. You will also learn why leaders must connect personally to their organization's mission and create an environment where individuals see their role as part of a greater impact. Key Takeaways: Understanding the connection between acting techniques and authentic leadership. How leaders can build trust and influence by showing up as their true selves. Leadership as a transformative process that benefits both leaders and those they inspire. The role of leadership in shaping an organization's mission beyond shareholder value. Common mistakes leaders make when trying to enforce purpose rather than inspire it. The shift from traditional command-and-control leadership to a more purpose-driven approach. How emerging leaders can navigate the challenges of modern leadership. Standout Quotes: “When a leader stops being in alignment with their purpose they suffer and their organization suffers.”- Kimberly [25:59] “I believe that emerging leaders are our future and if we want to see more purposeful leadership, we've got to start with emerging leaders.”- Kimberly [34:41] ⇢ Get full show notes and more information here: https://bit.ly/PodcastKimberlyDavis

Business and brand websites have existed for almost three decades. Yet most companies still don't know how to design them so that their messaging aligns with and supports their advertising, social media, and point-of-sale communication. Moreover, most present-day websites fail to incorporate language that appeals to each of the four major personality types, relying on so-called persuasion architecture. Vi Wickam, an exceptional digital and ad strategist, optimizes websites to deliver more leads, sales, and happier customers. A veteran Wizard of Ads partner, Vi not only helps his own clients but also teams with expert marketers worldwide to ensure their clients' websites perform like virtuoso violinists, delivering exceptional and harmonious results. In this week's episode I touch on something that I haven't addressed yet in my podcasts: the way women internalize a sense of being "less than" when they're waiting to become a mom. Today, I'm reflecting on the time when I thought my marriage wouldn't survive if we didn't have kids (!!) The strangest part is that I'm married to my soulmate. But this persistent perception of not being "complete" until kids, made me think if it didn't happen we wouldn't make sense. I see this come up frequently, in various ways, with my badass ladies, so I wanted to take some time to address it head on. Plus, I'm offering an essential question you need to be asking yourself when the "less than" feeling and the fear it evokes strike. The Badass Fertility Pilot Program (BFP) is officially HALF-FULL!! And it's still HALF-OFF until Christmas Eve. This could be the most powerful, transformative gift you give yourself and your future child in 2024. I seriously cannot wait to bring this amazing cohort of smart, savvy, badass women together and watch the magic that unfolds. If you're ready to join, or want to learn more, click here This is a small group program with a lot of access to me. It will never be this low price again. :-) Not ready to join but want to stay in touch? Follow me on Instagram @BadassFertility for daily high vibe inspiration, down to earth information and practical insights on how to drop the fear, embrace the journey and become the mom you're meant to be.
304 Women's Relationships Whether it be in the workplace, in daily life, or anywhere we go in the world, we meet exceptional individuals that make life both enjoyable and enlightening. It is vital to not only appreciate these people, but to seek out more kindred spirits to lift up and to be lifted up by. In this episode Sarah Elkins and her friends Kimberly Davis and Heather Younger discuss the importance of support and relationships in both our careers and in our down time. Highlights Surprise someone with support. Be a champion for another. Don't judge or treat another poorly because of your own preconceived notions. Being intentional when lifting others up. Do not contribute to the hatefulness and meanness in the world, look for the good and the hope that is inspired by those you hold dear. Make the work worth it, but don't let yourself get overworked and overwhelmed. Everything you do, begins with you, so try to be at your best. Quotes “The folks I hire, I'm not hiring them because they're women. There's a strength about them, there's an independence about them, I can tell they're just going to get stuff done.” “I think the reason I like it is because I know they're intelligent, I can trust them, they know things I don't know.” “Sometimes I do feel so sad, and so fatigued. Like Sisyphus pushing the boulder uphill all the time, that I have to stop and refuel because I am unable to keep an even level of fight or flight because the fight or flight just feels fruitless.” “If there's one person, who changes one behavior, in an audience of hundreds of people, in my mind the impact there is worth it.” Dear Listeners it is now your turn, When was the last time you lifted someone up, or stood beside them during a trying time? How often do you actively turn to another person on your team and as their help because they have more knowledge on a subject? If you could say one thing to the people in your life that make the work worth it what would you say? Remember Dear Listener everything you do starts with you, so make it come from a place of kindness and understanding. And, as always, thank you for listening. Younger, J.D., CDP, is an experienced keynote speaker, two-time author, and the CEO and Founder of Employee Fanatix, a leading employee engagement, leadership development, and DEI consulting firm, where she is on a mission to help leaders understand the power they possess to ensure people feel valued at work. Known as The Employee Whisperer, Heather harnesses humor, warmth, and an instant relatability to engage and uplift audiences and inspire them into action. Rooted in her belief that employees aren't just numbers on the payroll but human beings with ideas that matter, Heather's talks and workshops are dedicated to helping teams, leaders, and organizations shine by improving how they listen to, communicate with, and empower employees. "My why is to give a voice to the voiceless at work; those employees who feel powerless or hopeless or helpless." Heather's personal Why emerged as she sought to find meaning from her difficult experience growing up in the 1970s. As the only child of an interfaith and interracial marriage, both Heather and her Black father were shunned and excluded by extended family because of the color of their skin. While the sting of exclusion left Heather with a lot of questions growing up, it also led her to develop a high level of resilience and a deeply inspired commitment to advocate for anyone who has ever felt devalued. Today, she credits her capacity to navigate complex social dynamics and discuss identity in the workplace to those early experiences, and is dedicated to creating opportunities for organizational leaders, teams, and individuals to learn strategies for reframing adversity while empowering leaders to change their workplaces for the better. As a champion for positive change in workplaces, communities, and our world at large, Heather delivers clear and purposeful strategies that drive real business results – such as increased employee engagement, loyalty, collaboration, and connectivity. The results? - Team members feel heard, seen, and valued - Companies create safe environments and a culture of trust - Diversity and creativity are celebrated - Resilience rises - Stress falls - Productivity goes through the roof - Customer retention and referrals soar - Everyone wins – sometimes in ways they didn't even realize were possible. About Sarah "Uncovering the right stories for the right audiences so executives, leaders, public speakers, and job seekers can clearly and actively demonstrate their character, values, and vision." In my work with coaching clients, I guide people to improve their communication using storytelling as the foundation of our work together. What I've realized over years of coaching and podcasting is that the majority of people don't realize the impact of the stories they share - on their internal messages, and on the people they're sharing them with. My work with leaders and people who aspire to be leaders follows a similar path to the interviews on my podcast, uncovering pivotal moments in their lives and learning how to share them to connect more authentically with others, to make their presentations and speaking more engaging, to reveal patterns that have kept them stuck or moved them forward, and to improve their relationships at work and at home. The audiobook, Your Stories Don't Define You, How You Tell Them Will is now available! On today's show we discuss what to do when you're not getting the results you need. Jason Scott founded of 120VC to help people, leaders, and teams get things done that really matter. He's uncovered some universal truths along the way: organizations are optimized for the results they're getting, and to get different results, humans need to perform their jobs differently. He is also the founder of the Transformational Leadership Academy, a bestselling author, and a keynote speaker. When a high functioning team is not performing well, how do you go about diagnosing the problem? · Figure out who is struggling on the team. The problem is almost always a person. · Find out what that person is missing to be successful at their job and help them find it. · If they are unable or unwilling to work together on what is missing, the leader can help them move into another role where they can be successful. When an individual in a team is not performing well, what advice do you have for them?· When an individual feels like they are not succeeding, they're miserable. A good leader is going to work to help find out what's missing for the individual. What are your thoughts on failing projects: · Projects fail due to poor leadership, period.· If you're not getting the results you need from a team, try something different with the team and then measure if that improves or diminishes the desired result.Best practices to reach best project outcomes (KPIs):· Make sure you can articulate why the change needs to be done. · If you ask humans to their jobs differently, they must understand and feel the problem we are solving is important enough to put themself at risk and be vulnerable. · When you have a change project, start by asking: Who are we going to ask to do their jobs differently? Who is going to be doing the work? It's about commitment not compliance or agreement. · As a leader, don't ask for people to agree – which is from their head, ask them to commit, which is from their heart. · Lead by giving people the ability to choose their own path. Allow people to choose to follow you. What do you do about performance reviews when people are not on board? · Whenever you launch a project you need to rationalize your why. · To get to your why ask what problem are you solving? Does it improve customer satisfaction? Does it improve team satisfaction? Does it improve profitability? · Then ask: Is there demand for this? To test a project demand, create a brief presentation asking: How does this drive company vision? Why do we need to make this change now? What will happen if we don't make this change? · Ask for people to give you experience shares, not advice or opinions.Top Takeaways: · You don't have to be talented to be successful. You just have to do the work. · The meaning of life is people. If you care for people on your team and support them to be as successful as possible, they will succeed for themselves and for you. Control is not necessary. Connect with Jason: Websites: https://120vc.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jasonscott120vc/
No matter the journey you are on or the goals you've set, if you want to achieve results, you must implement strategy. Positive change and results happen only when you implement strategy. Whether you want to start and grow a business or want to change your lifestyle, you need to implement strategy. Why is it important to implement strategy when you want to start and grow a business? Because to make an impact or create the results you want, you need a strategic plan to get there. Employing a strategy will help you take intentional effective action to get from point a to point b. Think about it, you wouldn't go on vacation without mapping out an itinerary, would you? Of course not. You'll create and implement a strategy for how you'll spend your time, where you'll stay, your mode of transportation, what you'll pack, who or what you'll visit, and where and what you'll eat. The same is true for your business and life in general. Strategy is key for making decisions about systems and processes in your business and personal life. When thinking about the importance of strategy for results, consider the following areas in which it's necessary to implement strategy and processes for your business: Writing copy and brand storytelling - how you write, your message, how and where you tell your story Structuring your website - ease of use, clarity, content, menu, etc. Sending emails - email marketing - frequency, content, building your list, nurturing your audience Writing newsletters Creating calls to action - grow your email list, discovery calls, buy now, etc. Building relationships Creating demand - what, when, and how you'll do things to create demand Increasing visibility Creating a budget - revenue goals, expenditures, charitable giving, payroll, etc. Launching a new program - pre-launch, copy, marketing, sales, promotion, content, etc. Marketing Mindset - maintaining a positive mindset requires daily action - create a strategy SEO Blogging Content creation and sharing Evaluation – what went well, what didn't, and what will you change? PR Hiring - assigning roles and responsibilities, building a team, salary, etc. Sales - how will you sell and to whom will you sell Automation - speed, and ease for your clients to work with you, simplifying your business, saving time, saving money Tech and tools - which you'll use and how you'll use them - simplify, automation Creating SOPs Onboarding new clients Differentiating as a personal brand Without creating and implementing a strategy for each area of your brand and business you'll have no direction. In addition, when you have no direction, your soulmate clients will be confused. Implementing strategy comes from a place of clarity. When you have clarity, your soulmate clients will have clarity about you. Read the full show notes and access additional links. Have questions about your brand marketing strategy and where you can improve it to create more demand in your business? There's no hack. There's no easy way. If you want more results, you need to take more risks.
A person whom you believe having those judgemental qualities, won’t be able to decide it’s potential. What happens is that people, who are new to something, only think about taking suggestions from a person, who has certain amount of knowledge. But that never determines the main potential of your work. Sometimes there are even multiple rejections for a great work. But then too there are lot of stories, which have become successful. A single human being can hardly identify the real potential of your work, because it is never in his hands. Remember that every rejection is a form of motivation in the reality. #Judgements #Results

Put Yourself First Podcast | Self Care | Personal Growth | Goal Setting | Inspirational Interviews
Have you sat on your couch and asked yourself that question? “Why is it SO hard to achieve my goals?” I’ve thought about this a lot in recent months. Both in my work with clients and my personal life, I’m constantly setting and working towards goals. It’s part of my language and everyday life. I’ve got the tool belt fully stocked: time management, planning, productivity, prioritising, stationery hacks, the best apps. You name it, I’ve got a growth hack to help you get there. So why did I wake up a few months ago and say, “Fuck. Why am I not there yet? Why is it so hard?” I had goal-setting burnout. After a long afternoon putting the world to rights with friends over coffee, it dawned on me. In today's podcast episode, I'm sharing the HARDEST part about setting goals - showing up with no results. If you can relate, see this as a serious sign and encouragement to keep going. Brave, Leadership, Courage, Relationships, Impact Summary “Who is the brave person?” We'll look at that in our Thought of the Day. And in our interview segment, Kimberly Davis shares with us principles from her new book, Brave Leadership. That and more on today's show. Bob's Thought of the Day We'll explore: Why I disagree with the last two words of this definition: “Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc….without fear.” The answer to the question “Who is brave?” I learned from my Dad: “That person who is smart enough to be afraid … and still do their job.” Why bravery has much more to do with facing our fears and overcoming them than it does with being fearless. Interview with Kimberly Davis You'll discover: How Kimberly defines “leader” and “brave.” The correlation between acting and leadership. Why focusing on yourself diminishes your impact as a leader. The story of Julia and how her shift helped her to find her Brave. What a Super Objective is and why it is vital to your leadership. How one school bus driver is using his Super Objective to help students build self-confidence. A story of two executives at a multi-day training event Kimberly led, and how each of them made a very different impact. Click to Tweet #Leadership is a casting decision. @OnStageKimberly I don't want to be a #leader if I have to be like the other leaders at my company. @OnStageKimberly A focus on specific purposeful action to have an #impact outside yourself is called your Super Objective. @OnStageKimberly Interview Links OnStageLeadership.comBrave Leadership: Unleash Your Most Confident, Powerful, and Authentic Self to Get the Results You Need by Kimberly Davis (also available through Amazon)Kimberly's blogKimberly's TEDx Talk Connect with Kimberly on Facebook Connect with Kimberly on LinkedIn Follow Kimberly on Twitter Follow Kimberly on Instagram Resources The Go-Giver Influencer Sell The Go-Giver Way Audio Program GoGiverSalesAcademy.com The Go-Giver Leader TheGoGiver.com GoGiverSpeaker.com Burg.com How to Post a Review
