This season 2 penultimate episode of #BARRYHBO is a doozy, with Naive Barry failing upward (6 feet, 2 inches upward, to be exact); Fuches proving that he still has cards to play; and Sally solidifying her place as Feminist Icon, Sally Reed with a rant that we feel in our bones. And where will the finale find Hank, now that he has lost the loyalty and respect of his henchmen? Most Evil Guy is a fancast about the show BARRY on HBO, co-created by Bill Hader and Alec Berg. Each episode of the podcast covers one episode of the show. We end each episode with a Body Count and our Most Evil Guy. We strive to keep our episodes spoiler-free for those just finding the series. Language isn't PG, but also not as bad as the actual show. Episodes drop biweekly on Tuesdays. Find us on Twitter and Instagram @mostevilguy, or write us at mostevilguy@gmail.com. Before we come to our own passing of life on Earth, death will undoubtedly affect every single person yet it's often considered taboo or uncomfortable to talk about but Chelsea London Lloyd is here to change that narrative. Chelsea is an actor, comedian, grief activist, grief support volunteer, and podcast host of Dying of Laughter where she shares her healing journey in growing up with two sick parents. Chelsea's dad died of ALS after a 15 year journey and her mom currently combats stage 4 metastatic breast cancer for the second time. In this episode, Ashley and Chelsea discuss Chelsea's childhood and her personal experience of growing up with two sick parents and ultimately losing one at the age of 19, some difficult and challenging questions we can ask our loved ones when it comes to death, how she intertwines humor, comedy, and grief, why she started her own grief group, and some incredible resources for grieving and loss. Chelsea grew up in extensive musical theatre since childhood. Her recent credits include SCHOOLED (ABC) and BARRY (HBO) with director Bill Hader and her sassy, self-deprecating humor has made her a stand-out in viral videos on BuzzFeed and Funny or Die. Dying of Laughter includes interviews with grief counselors, funeral directors, cancer survivors, previvors, therapists, life coaches, oncologists + genetic counselors to name a few. Clinkers, we know it's been a while but we are finally back for one more -- and one final -- episode. Yes, it's true, after almost 7 years, we have decided it is now time to bring Punch Drunk TV to an end. This is Aaron typing, in case you didn't know. I started this show, back when it was first called Best Frienemies, and then revamped to the GeekNation show Pass the Effin Remote, for the simple reason that I wanted to hang out with Jack. I knew we had good chemistry, I was always entertained when we hung out, and a light bulb went off that we should do some type of show. Now, here we are. Doing this show helped us make new friends, brought our voices into households across the world, opened up doors to new job opportunities, and solidified my friendship with this dude I first met at a goth club over 20 years ago. This may be the end to Punch Drunk TV, but we are not going anywhere. Jack and I are currently working out an idea for a new show, so please keep in touch with us on Facebook and Twitter. We will announce something in the coming months. In the meantime, please clink the drink with us one final time. NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: The "Game of Thrones" finale set a record for HBO with 19.3 million viewers tuning in. The final season of "Orange is the New Black" will premiere on Friday, July 26. "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" will premiere Friday, Aug. 30. Hulu has announced a new kids cartoon called "The Bravest Knight" which will feature same-sex parents. To celebrate the third season of "Stranger Things," Coca Cola will be bringing back a limited number of New Coke cans as a tie-in. There's a rumor many outlets are reporting on that says "The Muppets" will be coming getting a new series on Disney+. The episodes will be a collection of variety show-style shorts that sound like a throwback to the original "Muppet Show" from the '70s, as well as "Muppets Tonight" from the late '90s. AARON'S LOSERS:"Bonding" (Netflix), "Arrested Development" (Netflix) and "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" (Netflix) JACK'S LOSERS:"Game of Thrones" (HBO) and "Arrested Development" (Netflix) AARON'S FENCERS:"The Twilight Zone" (CBS All Access) and "Game of Thrones" JACK'S FENCERS: "I Think You Should Leave" (Netflix) AARON'S WINNERS"Tuca & Bertie" (Netflix), "The Act" (Hulu), "I Think You Should Leave," "What We Do in the Shadows" (FX), "Barry" (HBO) and "Chernobyl" (HBO)JACK'S WINNERS: "Barry," "Happy!" Stephen Root is one of the most prolific character actors of our time. Check out his credits here. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0740535/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 John has been friends with Stephen for more than 20 years. They got together in Wilmington, NC where Stephen is shooting an indie film. He talks about that, his career, the changing film industry thanks to Netflix and Amazon. This was recorded at True Blue Butcher and Table in Wilmington, NC.
Dimo and Joe Taylor review and recommend binge-ing or purging: Gilbert Gottfried's doc (Hulu), Unicorn Store (Netflix Movie), Barry (HBO) and Big Mouth (Netflix). They also discuss Disney + coming into the streaming market SWINGING, and what that could mean for the big three. Then Dimo talks for 47 minutes about some show that returns on HBO tonight. And - Jessica Greer corrects the guys' misses and errors.
Barry Hbo Review Barry has been renewed for a third season at HBO. The dark comedy series, co-created by Bill Hader and Alec Berg, follows the Barry (Hader), a hitman who discovers he loves acting when he comes to Los Angeles to murder somebody. In Season 2, Barry is attempting to exit the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. But while Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that pushed him towards violence, he soon discovers they weren’t the only forces at play.
