Joe Ailts is an agronomist and regenerative farmer in northwest Wisconsin with a deep passion for soil health and plant physiology. On his three-acre home farm, he grows competitive giant pumpkins, sweet corn, and market pumpkins using a regenerative approach that includes cover cropping with rye and Sudan grass. His experience in competitive pumpkin growing has fueled his interest in soil biology, leading him to experiment with mycorrhizal fungi inoculation and nutrient-dense crop production. Through his agronomy company, Ailts Agronomy, Joe works with row crop farmers to integrate soil health practices into their operations. He focuses on bridging the gap between regenerative and conventional farming, helping farmers implement biological inputs to enhance mycorrhizal colonization and crop performance. His research-backed approach has shown promising results, including significant yield responses in both corn following horseradish and in early-planted soybeans. In this episode, John and Joe discuss: How Joe's research with BioCoat Gold has demonstrated a five-bushel average per acre yield increase in corn The surprising ability of mycorrhizal fungi to colonize fungicide-treated seeds The benefits of using a rye cover crop system for weed control and moisture retention A 17-bushel yield increase in corn following horseradish The advantages of early-planted soybeans in northern climates  The role of Sudan grass in crop rotations Additional Resources To learn more about Joe and Ailts Agronomy, please visit: https://www.facebook.com/joe.ailts.96 About John Kempf John Kempf is the founder of Advancing Eco Agriculture (AEA). It was quite a treat to have best selling author Ann Louise Gittleman to talk about a whole number of health related issues for both men and women. We started off talking about progesterone cream and how excess copper levels affect hormone levels. We spent quite a bit of time discussing how copper is really a dangerous thing when it's not absorbed properly and in the wrong amounts. Who knew copper could affect so many different systems in the body? We discussed how to get your copper levels tested, where people are being exposed to copper and most importantly how to get rid of copper from your body. We also talked about how copper can be in many superfoods like tea, organic cacao, and more. We also discussed how bread these days is very harmful to our health for many reasons. Bread is very high in sugar, and carbohydrates and lacks iodine which would have helped the thyroid gland had it been there. But they replaced what could have been healthy (iodine) with bromides which actually pulls what little iodine we have in our thyroids out of our bodies. Plus bread contains gluten (most of them anyway) which are incredibly hard to digest and most likely was kneaded using municipal tap water containing fluoride, chlorine and chloramine along with homeopathic residues of pharmaceutical medications along with....wait for it...chemotherapy and other drugs people are urinating out. Stop eating bread people. It's so harmful and about a hundred levels. Then we talked about how to get tested for your hormone levels, heavy metal toxicity, blood sugar levels, food allergies, mineral balances and so much more. She recommended a series of tissues samples, blood testing, hair analysis, urine samples, saliva tests and stool samples. I would HIGHLY recommend getting tested one way or another. Either go to her website and get tested once a year. What gets tested gets managed. You never know where you are in your health journey if you don't know your levels. I cannot recommend this enough! Lastly we talked about parasites. We talked about pin worms, round worms and so much more. We talked about how we get parasites and how to get rid of them. We also talked about some of the symptoms that parasites cause in our bodies. Fascinating information. :) I hope you enjoyed this podcast as much as we did. Through her own experiences with environmental illness, including four years on the move from one ‘unhealthy' home to the next, and extensive research, Zara realised unhealthy homes are making us sick. She has been on a mission to help families make informed choices ever since. After experiencing mould symptoms in more homes than she could count, Zara woke up after her first night in a newly built home with stinging eyes, and experienced other symptoms during her first months in her new home. The Healthier Tech Podcast is the show bringing you a practical solutions-based approach to understanding how best to live in balance with our increasing reliance on tech. The show from Shield Your Body brings you expert voices that clearly explain the science that matters to you, and the usable tips that you can use to live healthier, while defending against the health risks of modern day technologies.  In this episode we welcome Stephen Collette who is a widely-respected Building Biologist. As Stephen shares in this podcast, his role is to identify environmental stressors and toxicants that exist within a building and provide practical suggestions on how to improve the indoor environment.  During the show Stephen shares how he came to be involved in the sector, as a Building Biologist, when his wife and new born child got very sick, from what turned out to be mold. It was only through a trip away from the home - which resulted in the symptoms subsiding - that made Stephen suspect that their property might inadvertently be the root cause of the health problems. Through the extensive research and knowledge that he built up, on various subjects related to home-based wellbeing issues, he realised that by sharing his information on what he needed to know to protect his own family he could also make sure others didn't go through the same situation as his loved ones.   In this episode you will hear: What Stephen does as a Building Biologist The power of developing a greater understanding of our homes and our health How buildings work as part of our bodies and how they should be maintained How to get deeper sleep and making the bedroom as healthy as possible How EMF in the home affects our health For more information on the subject covered today head to https://www.shieldyourbody.com/ for resources, in-depth articles, free tips and PDF guides to learn all about EMF, health and protection.  For more information on Stephen and his work head to https://www.yourhealthyhouse.ca
