The US real estate industry is unlike any other in the whole world. The speed of the transaction, the number of times people move and the solutions that drive homeownership…these are all opportunities that don't really don't exist anywhere else.  A lot of those opportunities are possible because of the National Association of Realtors. With 1.5 million+ members, NAR has a strong voice on the national stage, and the association has used its considerable influence to drive real value to both the agent community and the consumer.  NAR is at the forefront of creating more opportunities for success, doing work agents might not even be aware of.  What are some of the solutions NAR has advocated for? How does the association provide value to consumers and agents?  In this episode, I'm joined by broker-owner and NAR VP candidate, Colin Mullane. He shares all the work the association is doing, and how the leaders drive value.    NAR isn't saying they can make us more successful, they are saying the opportunity exists because they provide a platform to transfer real estate in an expedited manner. -Colin Mullane   Things You'll Learn In This Episode  Voice of the REALTOR®   The US real estate industry offers way more opportunity for success. How does NAR make this possible? Good for agents, good for consumers How does NAR balance advocating for agents while also addressing the needs for buyers and sellers? Supply solves everything Many agents believe that NAR's asleep at the wheel when it comes to dealing with institutional buyers. How is the association creating a long-term solution?   Guest Bio Colin Mullane is a broker-owner of Full Circle Real Estate, in Ashland Oregon and the candidate for VP of NAR First 2026. His journey from the streets of Limerick, Ireland, to becoming a leading voice in American real estate is a story of resilience, hard work, and unwavering commitment. Colin's journey into real estate governance began with involvement in the local MLS in 2007, going on to serve as its President and the Oregon REALTORS® President. Colin has made significant contributions at the national level including multiple leadership roles, demonstrating a commitment to service and a proactive approach during the Great Recession. On this episode Matt sits down with Martin Ball. Martin W. Ball, Ph.D., is a writer, independent publisher, nondual guide and consultant, visionary artist, and musician currently living in Ashland Oregon. In the spring of 2009 Martin underwent a profound energetic opening and transformation - the product of intensive work with entheogenic medicines and a year of profound self-exploration. The result is Martin's articulation of what he calls the "Entheological Paradigm," a Grand Unified Theory of all of reality from God to the direct experience of each human being, which he characterizes as an articulation of his view on “radical nonduality.” His approach is unique in that he sees the tension between duality and nonduality not as a spiritual or religious issue, but as an energetic issue that can best be addressed through the intentional use of powerful entheogens, such as 5-MeO-DMT. As such, his approach is thoroughly practical, straight-forward, and free of metaphysics, speculation, and attachment to spiritual or religious ideologies and mythologies. The result is a view of the nature of reality and the self that is challenging, liberating, and powerfully transformative, pointing to the true nature of being and personal responsibility as an energetic being. During the podcast Matt and Martin discuss coming to the psychedelic path, Martin's life-changing experience with 5-MeO-DMT, God Consciousness, 5-MeO's purpose in nature, whether or not 5-MeO can be made inside the body (endogenously), ancient cultures using 5-MeO + much more. As simple as that. The cover art is a selfie walking out of a morning in Orisson, France toward the Pyrenees Mountains into Spain in the early days of my Camino pilgrimage.Whether I'm interviewing a guest, shining a spotlight on the achievements of women foremost, or offering a daily menu of 60 Seconds episodes, my podcast is uniquely forward-looking and story-based for anyone charmed by and curious about the power of story to profoundly and positively shift our awareness, our behavior, even our culture as well as those who wish to learn more about the power of walking to reveal the world around us and within us. Like magic, the sorcery of stories is this: it helps each of us to be seen and heard, to understand and be understood. Why just audio? Because the human voice is the most powerful instrument we have to heal, inspire, comfort, entertain, and more. It's the reason that Big Humans and Little Humans long to hear the same stories retold, bedtime stories, family stories, campfire stories. The human voice transports, keeps us company, and reminds us we are never alone.CTA: Keep listening! And subscribe! I'm here because you're there.  You're invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, follow, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time! Join Dr. Donna's candid conversation about holistic veterinary medicine. How did Dr. Judkin's go from a conventional vet to a holistic one? What diseases has he helped? What is his medical philosophy and how did it evolve? These are some of the questions approached in this interview. Just like PetDoc Donna, Dr. Judkins utilizes acupuncture, homeopathy and herbs but his concentration is on diet. When the dogs come into his practice they get to eat treats made from crickets (which are non allergenic) so he really is not afraid to try new things. An accomplished mandolin player, Dr. Judkins reminds young veterinarians about the importance of work/life balance and he has no plans to retire. #vetlife #veterinarian #holistic #holisticvet #acupuncture #work/life balance. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/donna943/support

Our guest's chocolate candies were recently awarded best chocolate candy at the Oregon Chocolate Festival in Ashland Oregon, now that's something to celebrate! Michele Davis, President and CEO of Cocacao, (pronounced Ko' Kuh-Kow) runs a company that makes “twelve chocolaty bites of paradise”. They are confections but not chocolate, as the treats do not have the coco butter to meet the true defintion of chocoalate, that's why they are called chocolate candies. Their base is only three organic ingredients and the consumer enjoys a milk chocolate extravaganza without the dairy. The reason is a typical one: Jeff Davis, Co-Founder and husband of Michele, had severe dietary restrictionsu and loved sweets. Jeff experimented scientifically for years to find a chocolate treat he could eat. Upon meeting and marrying Michele, the couple both desired to start a company and sell the treasures Jeff had invented. Each piece is packaged individually in a twelve-piece box and that packaging strategy has been a five-year journey, according to Michele. With humble beginnings in a farmer's market, the company sold a plain white box of treats in individual baggies. They then moved up to a box that held twelve pieces, but in warm weather did not travel well (think melty mess by the time people got them home). Moving up the food chain (pardon the pun) they moved to a quarter pound bar that sold for ten dollars. The bar was retailed by our sponsor, Market of Choice and sold well. However at the farmers' markets, still a big source of revenue for the company, it didn't allow for sampling before buying the expensive bar which was a huge incentive, so it was back to the packaging drawing board. They completely re-branded and went to the pre-portioned treats of all their flavors in an attractive box and focused completely on retail locations and wholesale distribution. They also sell online, but retail is by far the bulk of the sales. The packaging is exquisite; check out their website. Chaos, Fires, the Dissolution of the Current Control Structure, and Transition Requirements to Enter the New Era Vital Health News Update Life Chats: How to Improve Your Timeline – Steps to Turn Your Dreams into Reality: Part 1 Midway through this dialogue the Alameda Fire in Ashland, Oregon broke out less than a mile from home during 90+ degree heat and uncharacteristically high winds for this time of year. Never in Oregon’s history have winds been this high during the month of September (though such is normal for our winters). Arson is suspected in starting the fire, a suspected homicide found at the fire’s starting location, and an arson was arrested in Phoenix, OR, two towns away caught setting an additional fire there at some point after the Alameda Fire had reached Phoenix, over 5 miles away. Hundreds of homes and businesses were lost, some by friends we know, along with many of their friends. The police are investigating the possibility of this being a planned, coordinated attack throughout the West Coast. Over 1 million acres have burned to date in Oregon alone. Similar reports are coming from Washington State and California. Historically, Oregon did not see more than an average of 10,000 acres burn during any fire season. In the last decade alone the average has risen to 500,000 acres per year. The entire West Coast has been hit unusually hard this year: Across the West and Alaska, nearly 28,000 firefighters and support personnel are battling 100 large fires that have burned more than 4.5 million acres, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. Oregon alone is now over 1 million acres in just the last three months. Arson is suspected in several, lightning in others, yet forest management and the attempt to increase government funds for disaster relief in the state is to account for the majority. Two fires had already been burning for several weeks (!) on a small scale (less than 150 acres) and allowed to grow to over 300,000 acres combined to justify more government funding. Several homes and businesses have been lost to that fire. We are breathing heavy smoke continuously. My air quality monitor Dylos DC 1100 PRO indicates the outdoor air is about 63,000 particles per .01 CF at 0.05 microns in the air, which is 21 times the “very poor quality” rating of 3,000 particles. This is approximately an Air Quality Index of 475. Indoor air is about 18,000 with an Air Doctor purifier working full time in the house. So, this preface is a fitting contribution to the material that follows. We are in the midst of radical changes to the way life will operate as we go forward. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bhsales/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bhsales/support

I hope you are doing well and finding new ways of thriving -- not just merely surviving -- through these days of working from home and adjusting to a new normal. If you are a Georgia REALTOR® listening to this podcast, I hope you have been watching the weekly video updates from our President, Faron W, King, during which he is providing valuable information and messages of support and encouragement to our members. Our GAR Leadership -- along with our fantastic staff led by our CEO Deb Junkin -- have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep us up-to-date on the important issues facing REALTORS® during these strange times we’re living in, as well as to provide online education and resources for REALTORS® all across the state. That’s what today’s episode is all about: Leading -- and Leadership -- in Trying Times. My guest today is my good friend, REALTOR® Colin Mullane, from Southwest Oregon. Colin has served in a variety of leadership roles at all levels -- local, state, and national. He and I often have conversations -- just like this one -- and so he seemed like a natural fit to sit down for a chat “on the record” so to speak. However, this episode isn’t just for “the leaders” -- or more specifically, it’s not just for those that the average person might identify as a leader. It’s not just for those elected or appointed to a traditional leadership position. Colin and I wanted to discuss a topic that we have regularly batted around in our casual conversations -- at convention, sitting at the bar, late night over a beer. What is leadership? Who are the leaders? What makes a leader? How do we spot them? How do we train them and bring them up? How do we lead and encourage others to do the same? And so important right now: how do we lead in trying times? And even more importantly, what do leaders do to prepare?COLIN MULLANE: Colin Mullane is a Broker/Owner of a small brokerage, Full Circle Real Estate in Ashland Oregon. Licensed since 2000, Colin has been a top producer in his market from the outset. He immigrated from Ireland in 1997, worked for 4 years in the service industry before getting into real estate. Colin is a strong believer in the profession of real estate being a cornerstone of the American Dream and has been thankful for the many opportunities it has provided him and his family. Colin is a past President for his local MLS, State President for the Oregon Association of REALTORS®, a graduate of the National Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academy, Past Regional Vice President for the National Association of REALTORS® and past Liason for Global Committees at NAR. Balancing a busy career, family life and his volunteer leadership roles makes for a full schedule, but one he relishes. A firm believer in ensuring REALTORS® and Brokers are surrounded with the best resources possible to stay relevant and thrive in todays market. Colin is also a big advocate for the work NAR does on behalf of consumers and real estate professionals everywhere, taking on the toughest issues so we can all do what we do, running our businesses. This week I am talking to Natalie Sudman about her book 'Application of Impossible Things - My Near Death Experience in Iraq'. Natalie worked as a female civilian employee of the Army Corps of Engineers in Basrah and Nasiriyah, Iraq, she was riding in a truck when a roadside bomb destroyed the vehicle. As a result of the severe injuries her body received from this roadside bomb, Natalie had a near-death experience where she left her body and entered the spirit world. There it was decided that her work on Earth was not done and with the help of spirit guides, they repaired the body so she could reenter it. She retained the conscious memory of what happened and during the time in the hospital, more details returned. Before this experience, Sudman was dubious about anything that smacked of the paranormal. This experience made her a believer. Application of Impossible Things - My Near Death Experience in IraqThere have been many, many people killed and maimed by bomb explosions during the war in Iraq. This is the amazing story of a woman who survived a near fatal explosion. Incredibly, that was only the beginning of her story. During the event, she experienced a NDE (Near Death Experience). She retained vivid memories of going to the spirit side and from that unique out-of-body perspective; she helped celestial beings put her body back together so she could return to life. She wanted to share what the experience was like as viewed from the spirit side. After being injured in Iraq, Natalie retired from government service. She is now enjoying art, writing, and continuing explorations into the non-physical. Natalie has also been a subject of studies performed by the University of Virginia's Division of Perceptual Studies, and welcomes invitations to act as a lab rat for any scientific investigation. Describing herself as an open-minded skeptic, Natalie finds that the rigorous methodology of science appeals to her critical mind, while her artistic nature enjoys the expansive freedom of leaving behind the critical mind in frequent forays into the non-physical. She maintains that an irreverent sense of humor and a willingness to look foolish are the cornerstones of constructive exploration. Raised in Minnesota, Natlie Sudman has lived most of her adult life in eastern Oregon, Montana and South Dakota. She recently moved to southern Arizona. Natalie's two-dimensional work is available through Davis & Cline Galleries in Ashland Oregon. Her ceramics are available online at Inyan Trace Art Studio. She occasionally blogs at Trace of Elements. Click this link to buy the book https://amzn.to/2Ew5Zun https://www.patreon.com/pastlivespodcast

Thanksgiving, November, 2019Ashland Oregon This podcast was composed in Ashland Oregon after my brother called me to ask for some “spiritual tools.” I had been on a six week journey to several cities and when I arrived in Ashland, I got off the road and stayed for a month. I loved every minute of it. What a gift! I was thrilled of course when my brother called to talk with me about the power of the mind to heal the body. He believed absolutely that we human-beings can heal ourselves and he wanted me to join forces with him to be part of his healing program. My thoughts were swirling around like falling leaves. I began to think about his life as an electrician, his generous personality and recently, his diagnosis of prostate cancer. I wondered how I would condense everything that I had learned into a short healing composition for him. What kind of spiritual toolbox or psychological key? How many tools? How many keys? Knowing that my brother like most Americans today are stressed to the max, I wondered how he was taking the time now to rest and recharge his batteries. Every day, as I walked through town, into the magnificent autumn beauty of Lithia Park, I prayed for an answer. Just like I did in 1987 for our Mother who had been diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgekins lymphoma. She was 57. Upon hearing that unearthly shout - “You humans can heal yourselves with color, sound and vibration,” I took it very much to heart and soul. It would take many years for me to act upon that command but I did build a healing center and my brother was my electrician. Now, he is 54 and here we are again, 24 years later with the same forewarning. We all know someone who is dealing with cancer. Look at all the cancer clinics and hospitals dedicated to this human suffering. They are still researching for cures. As we continue to wrestle with all of the implications and misadventures of our humanity, including life and death, we are listening to and reading about incredible healing stories from people everywhere who are overcoming their disease and emotional pain. How are they doing it? What has given them such knowledge, peace and love that leads them directly back to the truth of their own divine healing? Let me share with you my thoughts and prayers in this 13 minute healing directive, along with quotes from Dr. Joseph P. Murphy and the incredible healing power of Michael Stillwater’s music. Ashland, Oregon! What a magical little town. Decorated with fall foliage, it set the backdrop for their seasons’ end of all the Shakespearean plays and shows. My timing was perfect to be there mid October and find Shrew’s Cottage B&B and Bruce Hall, owner, extraordinaire. Everyday that I spent there, something wonderful happened. I felt like I was in a leading role, playing myself in this lovely little pocket of America, full of fellow thespians, artisans, writers and flower makers. Protected by the Siskiyou Mountains and Oregon Cascades, there existed an atmosphere of high creativity and sincere community. Everyone that I met had a great story of how they came to be there and how they too, felt like they belonged. It reminded me of my own childhood, fifty years ago in America, unpretentious and unafraid. Along with farm to table fresh food and numerous wineries, there were plenty of cannabis and CBD products wrapped anyway that you wanted. The smell of hemp harvesting farms was a unique experience for me as well as some interaction with the unperturbed homeless. All I had to do was walk out the front door of my lovely little Baroque Room and I found myself in the next lines of the play. Built into my story line, of course, was the continuum of Mystic Grace in its spiritual and material pursuits; the understanding of our humanity and our divinity. I could not have found myself in a better place to retreat, enjoy the electric atmosphere of Ashland and create the shortest podcast I have ever done. I did find one key which fits the toolbox, LOVE. And I will make a thousand duplicates, as many as you and I need.

But it is about how this lifestyle introduced me to the woman who is now my (spoiler alert) wife!Somewhere along the last five years the line between podcast and lifestyle blog became blurry on the instagram page @everydaydetox. With the introduction of instastories the posts gradually developed into 5-10 minute daily stories about operating Vitality, endless travel between NYC and Oregon, rescuing chickens, recipe sharing, organic gardening, moving to Ashland and getting married this year! Eventually I noticed a repetition of questions on the Q&A about love and life. Of course this was focused around my relationship with Holly and how we've meshed our lifestyles. After a long break while Jonathan decompressed from a life-transforming experience with Martin W. Ball, in Ashland Oregon at the 3rd Annual Exploring Psychedelics Conference, We are BACK with another episode of the Psychedelic Parenting Podcast! This week's show is the 1st half of a 2-part interview with Zoe Helene of Amherst, MA. Today's show was recorded over a couple days last week, on 4/20 and Earth Day with Zoe Helene. Zoe is the founder of Cosmic Sister, which is dedicated to recognizing and elevating feminist voices in the growing Psychedelic Renaissance, and to supporting visionary women in the exploding world of Cannabis business and studies. Zoe is also the wife and partner of ethnobotanist and writer Chris Kilham, and is the manager of the web presence for his site The Medicine Hunter, and has accompanied Chris on many trips to the Amazon and elsewhere, looking for healing plants and soul-transforming experiences. Zoe is an artist, writer, journalist, and visionary explorer in her own right, and has been featured in Boston Magazine, Forbes, Boston Globe, AlterNet, Chicago Tribune, Newsday, MIT Technology Review, Utne Reader and Fast Company. In this episode, Jonathan and Zoe discuss the art of "Psychedelic Mentoring"as an important part of the emerging plant medicine culture in this country, and how even those without their own kids have an important job to do in raising the future members of the Psychedelic Society. They talk about the "Faerie Goddessmothers" who were instrumental in Zoe's life, and how she has embraced her role as "Psychedelic Faerie Goddessmother" to the children of her friends and siblings.  Zoe also discusses Earth day and how her Ayahuasca experiences in the Amazon have galvanized her as an environmentalist and animal-rights activitst, and her view that "a baby is a baby," whether they be human animals or non-human animals. She also discusses her deep relationship to the Maui's dolphin of New Zealand, which is currently on the verge of extinction. If you weren't able to make it to Ashland for Exploring Psychedelics this year, Martin Ball will be releasing Jonathan's presentation from that event on The Entheogenic Evolution Podcast in the coming weeks. We will inform you when it goes live. In the meantime, you can check out Jonathan's presentation on Prezi by CLICKING HERE. Tune in next week Wednesday (5/4/2016) for the second 1/2 of Jonathan's interview with Zoe, when we'll be back on track for our weekly Wednesday podcast releases. Today’s guest is Cynthia LoRe. Cynthia brings a rich tapestry of personal and professional experience to her Ashland Oregon based healing arts practice. For 18-years she has been empowering clients in both private and Skype sessions here and in the countries of her travels. Cynthia has trained in different modalities and practices that support her innate wisdom. People are drawn to her independent spirit and grace, find value in her positive perspective and a context for themselves in her ability to be real, vulnerable and playful in her sovereignty. She has a gift for distilling wisdom into the practical for immediate, every day use. She is a natural healer and guide. In 1993 Cynthia began studying shamanism and has traveled the world to sit with teachers of the Amazon Jungle, honoring an ancient tradition of deep exploration and interconnectedness with all life. For the past two years she has been sitting in sacred sisterhood with the 13 Moon Mystery School, remembering and deepening in ancient priestess practices. Both of these paths continually unfold her awakening, which informs how she guides clients to realize their true essence. Through Cynthia's Trance Energy Therapy sessions, mentorship and classes, clients experience a deeper sense of self: trust, love, expression, clear boundaries and direction. Trance Energy Therapy is an alchemy of Hypnotherapy, shamanic/priestess wisdom and channeled Reiki energy. Shadow light Ministry was born from Cynthia's deeply personal quest for healing and self mastery through the exploration of consciousness which must honor the shadow aspect of the psyche. This aspect is a gem not to be feared or denied, as it is calling to be illuminated and witnessed with loving compassion. It is the part of us that holds the key to our greatest potential. You can learn more about Cynthia at www.ShadowLightMinistry.com. Can’t get enough of Consciously Speaking’s host?
