Motos and Friends is brought to you by the Yamaha R7, your gateway to a new generation of supersport machine. In our first segment, Senior Editor Nic de Sena rides the new Ducati Monster SP. This is the super-duper very tricked out version of the new Monster—it has all the cool stuff including full Öhlins suspension. It's a pricey moto for sure and that almost puts it into its own class in the upper-middleweight range. In our second segment, I chat with film Writer, Producer and Director, Mark Neale. Mark is the guy who wrote and directed the series of movies covering MotoGP from the early 2000s on. The series started with the iconic documentary, ‘Faster', and ended with ‘Hitting The Apex' in 2015. Brad Pitt narrated that one, and indeed, he had a vital hand in getting it finished. [View Official Trailer YouTube] Interestingly, the movie is still relevant now, some 8 years later, and Mark's stories of how the movie came to be, and his interactions with the people and riders involved make for some entertaining listening. So, from all of us here at Motos and Friends—we hope you enjoy this episode! Irma Knol, bekend van o.a. The Italian stallion you may well have forgotten about; the 2000 - 2005 Cagiva Raptor! This is a bike every bit as good looking as the Ducati Monster of the same era, yet with a £1,500-£3,500 price tag as a used proposition. Surely an imminent classic??And the bike that broke the gentleman's agreement; the 1200 Triumph Daytona 1220.

Spike takes out the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift Edition; Matt Farah rides the new Ducati Monster and another loathsome installment of Dear Zuckerman.
Ducati might be best known for its ultra-high performance street bikes or its racing pedigree, but Ducati has ventured down different avenues to expand its fan base. The Ducati Monster follows the trend of naked street bikes and lets you see more of the motorcycle's inner structure and mechanical action. Powering this Ducati is a 937-cc Testastretta L-Twin that makes 111 hp at 9,250 rpm. That might not seem like a ton of power in the superbike world, but it is more than enough power to get you up to speed shockingly quick. Adding to that, this lighter-weight Ducati Monster tips the scales at a mere 414 pounds. On this episode of Quick Spin, Mark Vaughn hops on the Ducati Monster and takes you along for the ride. Mark narrates his live drive review while he puts this Ducati through its paces. Mark also walks you around the new Ducati to show off and explain some of this bike's more interesting features. Between those segments, Vaughn talks with host Wesley Wren to expand on his thoughts. Closing the show, the pair talk about what makes this Ducati special.
Matt Farah and Zack Klapman talk about their drive in the $500,000 Guntherwerks 911, Zack's crazy weekend at Gridlife, scaring Hoonigans, Matt's ride on the Duacti Monster, and we give a lot of car buying advice. In today's PorscheCooled Podcast Michael presents episode 43 of owner stories with Daniel from Brisbane in Australia. Living in Hong Kong as a kid Daniel saw some interesting cars. One particular memory was going to look at a Porsche 924 GT in a carpark in Hong Kong. This was a car his dad was interested in at the time and a very special car in Daniel's memory. Daniel's passion includes motorbikes, having owned a Ducati Monster for some time. He has also owned an Alfa, a car he sold in preparation for his first Porsche. Owning and enjoying a Motorbike has affected Daniel's interest in cars. It's not about the blistering outright performance but the experience, and how you enjoy the performance you have. So, Daniel hasn't been trying to find Porsche that's ‘blistering fast' - its more about the era and the experience on the road. This led Daniel to look at transaxle Porsches and more specifically the 944, a car he has always wanted. After a few searches Daniel found the right car, he know owns and enjoys a Garnet Red 1985 Porsche 994 in manual. Welcome back to the PorscheCooled Podcast. Every Porsche tells a story and each owner has a different story to tell – that is what the PorscheCooled owner stories is all about. Michael (@michael.bath) owns a first generation 997 Carrera, comes from Australia and currently resides in Bahrain. Steve (@gtst3ve) is a Porsche owner and enthusiast from Sydney, Australia. This podcast is part of a series with Steve where two mates chat about all things Porsche. Thanks for listening.

In this episode I talk with Tom Walker, also known as the MotoCoach, who is a certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach, a track day coach and enthusiast, and creator of his Corner College rider skills development training program. We talk about a recent accident he had on the track, his injuries and how his recovery is going, and the effectiveness of his gear in this high-speed crash. We also start the conversation to cover the various things that I need to do to get myself and my bike ready to start doing track days in the not too distant future. Michael Barnes holds the record for the oldest rider to win the Daytona 200 at the age of 47, in 2016. Barnes decided to retire in 2014 after serious injuries and despite having one podium finish in his 12 previous 200 starts, Barnes was able to pull off a victory. Barnes is currently racing in the MotoAmerica Twins Cup after a last-minute collaboration between Moto Corse Performance and Quarterley Racing On Track Development led to Barnes racing a Ducati Monster 797 at Road Atlanta. Barnes went on to win both races at Road Atlanta. Barnes has said that he previously had no intention of racing a full season, but that he will be at VIR May 4th and 5th.

Motorcycles, mechanics, machinists, and a man-child. All on this episode of the Creative Riding Motorcycle Podcast. Welcome to Episode 93 of the Creative Riding podcast!! In this episode Chris Wiggins and I are talking in a garage. Literally. It's almost as if we're paying the ultimate tribute to Wingman's Garage by ditching the studio setup, and not even trying to talk into the recording device. Awesome sauce! He was repairing his Dyna master cylinder after suffering a pressure loss at The Streets at Willow Springs on Sept 17th.. He was Also setting up the steering on his Ducati Monster for said track day. We talk about a lot of stuff. I edit out a lot of stuff. You get the final product. Chris will be back out at the Streets Sept 30th with the guys from @27Cycles and @Jiffytune again. This time @rammingspeed_racing is putting on the event, and it's another Classic Day at Willow Springs! We cover the Hooligan Shootout that Chris presented at Santa Maria raceway on Sept. 23, and we'll dabble in some speculation and controversy inside the AFT paddock. In this first part of a two part series, we talk to David Hough about riding in high winds and Grant Johnson about rainy weather riding. Also, Chantal Simons has done long distance trips on both a Ducati Monster and a Chook Chaser? And what she's learned is that asking yourself the right questions when faced with a hurdle is what can make the difference in how your trip turns out. David Hough: Riding in High Winds David is a certified motorcycle safety instructor and has taught motorcycle training courses. He's been an influence in the development of courses by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Sidecar/Trike Education Program. An award winning author, David L. Hough was inducted in to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2009 in recognition of his lifetime efforts towards motorcycle safety. David is the author of Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well and other books about safety and riding techniques. His books are available on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/David-L.-Hough/e/B001JOWE2I. Grant Johnson: Rainy Weather Riding Grant's vast background includes being a motorcycle mechanic and dealer, as well as co-owner of Horizons Unlimited with his wife, Susan Johnson. Grant has given many talks around the world as part of the HUBB presentations. He's also a co-host on ARR RAW: www.adventureriderradio.com/raw Horizons Unlimited: www.horizonsunlimited.com Chantal Simons: Chick on a Chook Chaser Chantal Simons has ridden motorcycles in Asia, Europe and Australia. It was the trip around Australia that inspired her to write a book called She'll be right! Tales and Thoughts of a Women's Motorcycle Adventure Down Under. Chantal says that the reason she wrote the book was: "to show it isn't hard to do a trip like this. Some people think you have to be some super hero to travel long distances on a motorbike. But really you just need the will to go and a decent amount of common sense." That figure marks your rock bottom "last resort" should you not get any bites. Next, collect eight more price figures via three specific sources ...1) The high/low price from Kelly Blue Book (https://www.kbb.com/) 2) Three prices on Craigslist (https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=008732268318596706411:nhtd4cwl5xu&q=2012%20Ducati%20Monster%20796&oq=2012%20Ducati%20Monster%20796&gs_l=partner.3...5282.11512.0.11689.23.15.0.8.8.0.153.950.14j1.15.0.gsnos%2Cn%3D13...0.6288j2914198j28..1ac.1.25.partner..8.15.453.0RHATwxeT4k#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=2012%20Ducati%20Monster%20796&gsc.page=1) which best reflect the condition of your bike 3) Repeat step 2 but use eBay (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X2012+ducati+monster+796+20th+anniversary.TRS0&_nkw=2012+ducati+monster+796+20th+anniversary&_sacat=0) instead of C-ListNow enter each figure you've collected onto a separate line and use this calculator (https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/statistics/average.php) to average them against one another. This week, Daniel shares his experience at the MotoAmerica AMA Superbike Races held at Road Atlanta this past weekend. All the thrills of Supersport, Superstock and Superbike are presented to you as only can be seen through the eyes of a corner worker sitting trackside as the racers scream past. Then, we answer a few questions before Tyler is appalled by the sacrifice of a Ducati Monster, as it is chopped and reworked into a custom "rat" bike on a show that's distracting the boys.
