Former NSF water researcher, Texas Farmers Union secretary, and candidate for Texas Ag Commissioner, Clayton Tucker joins the Soil Sisters to discuss the rapid expansion of AI data centers across Texas—and why many farmers and rural communities are sounding the alarm. Tucker explains how large AI facilities are impacting water supplies, electricity prices, housing costs, health, and agricultural land in towns like Abilene and across rural Texas. The conversation explores concerns around power grid strain, backup generators, noise pollution and heat, effects on livestock, and the lack of transparency surrounding data center resource use. We also talk regenerative ranching, hemp, data center cooling alternatives, soil remediation, food monopolies, PFAS runoff, and Tucker's campaign ideas for the future of Texas agriculture. Plus: school gardens, local organizing, and why he believes communities need a stronger voice in shaping AI infrastructure development. MEET OUR GUEST: Clayton Tucker is a former water researcher for the National Science Foundation, Secretary of the Texas Farmers Union, a fair trade organizer, and he helps manage his family ranch in Lampasas, TX. Clayton is running to be our next Texas Agriculture Commissioner to make food and farming affordable, protect our water, and put the brakes on AI Data Centers in our communities. Jace and Rocky break down the DC releases for the week of April 8, 2026. Gotham City Sirens is discussed with its standout Babs Tarr art, strong variant covers, and battle with the villain Horoscope, while Bleeding Hearts #3 continues the story from Poke's perspective as the zombie's inability to communicate with the surviving mother and child adds to the tension. Firestorm #1 launches DC's Next Level take on the character with Ronnie Raymond apparently trapped, Firehawk brought in to investigate, and the mystery of who is really controlling the Firestorm Matrix left unresolved. Nice House by the Sea #9 deepens the contrast between Walter's and Max's houses, raises questions about whether the destruction of Earth is even real, and continues exploring the changing dynamics between the people chosen to survive. Green Lantern Corps #15 focuses on John Stewart confronting Parallax and his past with help from Soranik Natu, while the Manhunters turn Aya's apparent victory into a trap by taking over her body. Action Comics #1097 follows Booster Gold, Martian Manhunter, and Mary Marvel traveling back to Superboy's era as Epoch steals the rocket that brought Kal-El to Earth. Supergirl #12 centers on Kara waking up in Kandor as a cybernetic Supergirl after being badly injured, with Black Flame's rebellion, the city's secrets, and Team Thunder all adding to the conflict. Emperor Aquaman is discussed with Arthur continuing to establish himself as "Emperor of the Blue" by setting up lighthouses across the universe, gaining King Shark's allegiance following his DC KO vision, and fulfilling a prophecy on another world by freeing a parasite-controlled race. Absolute Green Lantern #13 shifts to Ran, introducing Rack Shade, the M Zone, Professor Sardin, Alana, and Emily Hawk as the mythology around the Black Stars and the Controller of Mu continues to expand. As always the episode also includes a rundown of the week's reprints and collected edition releases, as well as Jace and Rocky rankings for all the books and their picks for Book of the Week.
What if you could actually see what's happening in your soil—and use that to grow healthier food and more resilient farms? On this episode of the Soil Sisters Podcast, meet bestselling author, educator, and citizen scientist Matt Powers and explore the soil science behind regenerative agriculture—and how it's being taught from classrooms to farms around the world. Matt shares how his unexpected journey through public education led to the creation of his K–12 “seed to table” curriculum, now used by everyone from homeschool families to colleges. His work connects biology, chemistry, and ecology through hands-on, project-based learning that helps people of all ages understand soil in a practical, measurable way. This conversation dives into the living biology of soil—and how farmers, ranchers, gardeners, and even consumers can better understand the systems that grow our food. You'll learn how tools like microscopy, DNA testing, and mineral analysis can reveal the full story of your soil—and how even simple at-home tests can help you start improving soil health today. Matt also shares his vision for a more transparent, community-driven future in agriculture, where growers can compare results, share data, and identify what's truly working in regenerative systems. Whether you're producing food or simply want to better understand where it comes from, this episode offers a powerful look beneath the surface.
John Lazzeroni blazed a trail for a new generation of “Magnum Mania” with his high stepping, hard hitting, and incredibly impressive cartridges. Catchy names like .782 Warbird, .721 Firehawk, and 6.57 Scramjet denote the single premise they were built on — velocity. The numbers his cartridges attain don't lie. Tune in as Mark Boardman, Jimmy Hamilton and Ryan Muckenhirn talk all about the Lazzeroni family of cartridges and the undeniable performance they offer. As always, we want to hear your feedback!

On this episode of Playconomics, Bobby and Matt breakdown the business behind your favorite video games and provide you financial context for this week's industry trends. Starting the show off with a major acquisition the boys discuss Sega buying the company that owns the Angry Bird IP. We discuss whether or not Sega has a billion dollars and why this purchase is 7-10 years too late. We switch topics to the rumored Call of Duty replacement Xdefinant. Will Xdefinant be 2023's best FPS, prob not, but honestly who knows (Bobby and Matt do). Bobby goes on a rant about how Nintendo ruins Gary Bowsers life (rightfully so? maybe, extremely ruthless? Definitely!). Matt discusses how unimpressed he is that an X-halo lead is joining Netflix gaming. The Boys close the show discuss Sony's purchase of FireHawk, and Matt explains the undisputed truth as to why Sony really doesn't want Xbox to purchase ABK.

What's more frightening than a bird of prey? A bird of prey with flames. That's right, some birds have learned to harness the power of fire to attack prey. (Is this really life?!) This month I start with Manhunter 11 with has two 11 page stories. The first story continues with Mark's adventures in Australia. The second story we see what Sylvia Kandrey has been up to since she last ran up against Manhunter. Then we cover Starman 8 where Will meets... Lady Quark. One of the survivors of The Crisis on Infinite Earths! And since we covered the January comics last issue, we won't have Cop-A-Comics Comic Rack this month. But it will be back next month. The Invasion is over... Now join us for the new normal and an almost normal length episode. I say that, because I'm making a couple of slight changes to the format of the show. Instead of reviewing the same numbered books (for instance Starman 10 and Manhunter 10), I'm going to review books that came out in the same month (more or less). This month I start with Manhunter 10. Then at 31 on minutes in, I hit on Starman 7. Finally at 56 minutes in, I bring out a new section of the show (which I've stolen from many other podcasts) Cop-A-Comics Comic Rack. Listen in to hear more about the new segment. Come take a listen!
THE INVASION warps up.... Join us for another three hour epic episode as we look at the third and final wave of The Invasion. This episode we start by looking at The Flash 22, which we then follow in to Manhunter 9. Then we follow the adventures in to Invasion 3 where we find out what the Alien Armada is up too. I close out the show seeing what our beloved Starman is doing with the JLI in Justice League International 24, well at least he's in the second story in the book. Come take a listen!
THE INVASION is here.... Join us for this over three hour epic episode as we look at the second wave of The Invasion. This time we start out as I look at the CW crossover, this year entitled Invasion. How did it compare to the series? Take a listen as we look at it and I give you my thoughts. Then at twelve minutes in, we then move over to the DC comic universe where we look at Invasion number two, then at an hour and thirty four minutes I pull out Flash 21 and give it a read. At 2 hr and 10 minutes, we take a look at Manhunter 8, followed by Starman 6 at 2 hours and 47 minutes. Come take a listen!
