Winter --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/schattenwelten/message

HomeNew Music Share Tweet We've got some new music from two of Ireland's finest techno producers's on one of Ireland's most promising new techno imprints, as Doug Cooney remixes Offtrack for Undivided. Doug Cooney provides a menacing peak-time remix of Offtrack's original, as the RLSD boss man lyes on shuffling rhythms and pulsating synth lines. Undivided was established in early 2021 by Dublin natives Amak & A PageOne, with a goal to showcase emerging local and international talent in electronic music. Together, the duo have created a stir with a series of underground events that have attracted a rapidly growing audience. Following on from the label's previously strong releases from FYuN & Jack Nolan in 2022, they now return with yet another massive Irish releases from Offtrack, with Doug Cooney on remix duties. The 4 track EP is stacked with quivering synth lines, syncopated rhythms and kaleidoscopic shuffling soundscapes. Today we have the pleasure of hosting Doug Cooney's remix. In recent years Doug has been burning the midnight oil in the studio, crafting high octane and distinctly function techno tracks. Cooney has recently signed records with respected labels such as Orbis, GND, Gynoid, EFR, Bastardo Electrico, N&N Records, Research & Orgone, alongside RLSD Records his own imprint laying a strong foundation for his future in music. His productions have received support from Dave Clarke, Amelie Lens, Ben Sims, Luke Slater, Rodhad, KR!Z, and Answer Code Request. Doug's tracks have also been been remixed by Aiken, Binny, Lee Holman and Dystopian Records Jon Hester, proving his calibre in the international arena. Doug's remix of Master Detune show's the RLSD boss man at his rawest and most uncompromising as he goes hell for leather with pounding rhythms and unapologetic synth work. He flips Offtrack's kickless original into a dance-floor devoted frenzy, as tough kick drums crash into jarring percussion, while spaced out hypnotic atmospheres glide across anarchic synth lines. This is hard-edged, peak-time techno at it's finest. For our first premiere of the week, we present a track from one of Ireland's leading and hardest working producers, Doug Cooney. The RLSD boss man is no stranger to knocking out prime techno cuts, and ‘Covalent' is no exception, as Doug channels classic dub techno auras with definitive 909 grooves. Doug Cooney lives and breathes techno within every facet of his life and has dedicated many years to the genres growth and wellbeing in Ireland. From setting up one of Ireland's best techno labels RLSD, to teaching in Bray Institute Of Further Education, alongside teaching his RLSD classes, to churning out proper techno 12 inches, there's few Irish DJs and producers that come close to Doug Cooney in terms of impact on the Irish techno scene. Doug Cooney also boast's being one of the most technically gifted DJs on the isle of Ireland. Meticulous attention to detail behind a set of turntables has seen Cooney share the booth with formidable techno figures such as Dave Clarke, James Ruskin, UVB, Mark Broom and more. Doug has a number of distinguished international gigs under his belt, with a debut at the fabled Tresor in Berlin, being the highlight. For Doug's next release he features on a colossal VA from Dutch techno connoisseurs, Frenzy. Frenzy welcomes the first Various Artist release on their newborn label, Frenzy Recordings. The VA contains 12 tracks handcrafted by 13 artists, both renowned and upcoming. Frenzy focuses on presenting the modern-day sound with roots of the old school, and that is exactly what this Various Artists stands for. Doug's contribution to the debut VA from Frenzy is an infectious dub influenced techno roller. Like many of Doug's great tracks, it's minimal, funky and effective, breathing the essence of techno. As the loop progresses it becomes more and more infectious. The finer details in the atmosphere and carefully orchestrated switches make this track so special. One of Doug's finest pieces of work in my humble opinion. Ed, Dalek and Nemo take a look at the second of three episodes from the BBC 4 Dirk Gently 2012 series, following on from the earlier 2010 pilot of the same series. This episode is set at St. Cedds College Cambridge, and follows Dirk and MacDuff as they search for a stolen android belonging to Dirk's beloved old don, Professor Jericho. But the Prof is hiding a dark secret surrounding Dirk's past... Dirk also falls in love with a disabled girl called Jane, and we discuss if this is an earned romance or if it feels too much like wish-fulfilment. Davecat’s wife, Sidore, is a doll-- meaning, she’s not just a sweetie, she’s actually synthetic! Happily coupled for 17 years, they also live with their mistress Elena and her partner Miss Winter. Davecat considers himself an iDollator because all three women in his life are dolls. You may have seen him on My Strange Addiction, the BBC Documentary Guys and Dolls, or other shows. Davecat sat down with us to give us a peek into his very unusual but seemingly average polyamorous life. Guest bio  A Scorpio born in 1972, Davecat has been tirelessly promoting positive interaction with artificial humans. Specifically, he refers to Synthetiks, a term which describes artificial people with either passive bodies such as Dolls, or ones with active bodies like Gynoids and Androids. Davecat has a bit of expertise on the subject, as he shares his home with three beguiling life sized Dolls. Sidore Kuroneko, a RealDoll made by Abyss creations, would be his not-legal-but-may-as-well-be wife, and she and Davecat have been inseparable since 2000. They share a mistress named Elena Vostrikova, a silicone woman assembled by the Russian company Anatomical Doll back in 2012, and joining them in 2016 is Miss Winter, from the Chinese company Doll Sweet. When not going on at length about Doll this or Gynoid that on his Twitter feed, Davecat enjoys Japanese cuisine, playing Destiny with his mates, sleeping, and writing about himself in the third person. (Gamer Girlfriend). Jay Gordon removes his ribs for a different reason, and Emma gives the worldwide debut performance of a parody version of the song I found online, written by someone who hates Bill Clinton. We don't usually receive extended sets, but when we do, they are stellar; and this one certainly makes it among the top of the list if we must be honest. Hailing from Rotterdam, with many years of tenure, and impeccable releases on Perc Trax, Mote Evolver, Gynoid, Blank Code and his own Audio Assault and the brand new Mord (read RA feature), we are extremely proud to present BAS MOOY. Between his private life and busy touring schedule, he was kind enough to weave together an stunning, top-of-the-class, and exclusive 2-hour journey for us, which we couldn't be any more grateful for it. We have no doubt you will think the same. There really is not much else to say on this one except to let the music speak for itself. Just keep in mind that his inaugural release on Mord, Linea Recta, is inside, and it's outstanding. Hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, we have a fantastic artist featured in this episode - true underground DJ, producer, and label boss, GEORGE PAAR. He is no stranger to the underground scene nor to techno, as he's been exploring and experimenting with sounds for over a decade and his tracks have been released on Gynoid, Micro.fon, Ketra, and his own Par Recordings. Though fairly new, Par Recordings is home to an array of global talent already and its sister imprint for vinyl-only, Par Wax, has Georgio Gigli featured in its latest release "Life Is Not Dead Yet," which is included in full inside this special 90-minute mix. This collaboration is deeply personal and carries a complex and intimate message from the author himself "it's a homage to life itself...dedicated to all those individuals that continue with their lives even when struck by misfortune and grief." Covering several of George's own productions this podcast epitomizes what his sound, label, and overall underground endeavors solely stand for: shrewd, thought-provoking techno. Quantic Spectroscopy (POR) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 15 pt.2 Bio: From Spectroscopy, the study of the interaction between matter and radiated energy. Quantic Spectroscopy is the study of the fundamentals of what matter and energy produce in Techno music. For Quantic Spectroscopy, Techno is analyzed as a spectrum of sounds and different types of matter that togheter combined do the sounds of their mind. Dark ambiences mixed with small rays of colorful sound in other dimensions, creating textures and new physical relations in sound. Scientific, absolute, analytic and above all different in a kind. The dynamic duo is based in a long relationship of two guys (WireTap and Stig) from Oporto, Portugal who want to create and make a difference in the Electronic Music scene with their own specific vision of Techno. They have a lot of influences from well known artists filtering what they most like and giving it a new shape in another dimension just bringing the fundamentals of Techno music. Kai-zen Podcast - Regular top DJ's playing Deep House, Tech House & Techno. Rotterdam home-based dj/producer Bas Mooy (1976) has been active on many fronts in the techno scene since 1999. Heavily influenced by a city that breaths industrial strength twenty-four-seven, he gradually found his way into creating an unique dark sound, which lead him to the forefront of the European techno scene. In 2002 he kickstarted the already legendary Audio Assault record label with label partner Jeroen Liebregts aka Radial, which resulted in the birth of sublabel Arms one year later. Since then the Audio Assault family built a strong and constantly growing fan-base worldwide, showcasing an impressive catalogue with a constant output of stand out twelve inches, setting the standard for today’s quality dark techno. For many years he has been a member of the Rotterdam underground collective ‘Strictly Techno’, creators of over a hundred legendary parties since 1996. Bas has played at many ‘top of the bill’ clubs and festivals around the globe and is a regular guest at the highly respected Awakenings parties in Holland. Over the years Bas has been a hard working and devoted producer, spending many hours in the studio and putting out music on respected labels such as Planet Rhythm, Roots, Fine Audio Recordings, Naked Lunch, Impact Mechanics, Submissions, Patterns, Blank Records and of course his own imprints Audio Assault and Arms. With the start of a new label and upcoming releases on Mote Evolver, Perc Trax, Blank and Gynoid, Bas shows no sign of slowing down in 2012!
