SEASON 4 EPISODE 62: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: In case you somehow missed it, Kash Patel's enablers at the FBI (Fan Boys International) were busily denying he went to Italy for the Olympics just to see the hockey game and jock-sniff the victorious U.S. team when all sorts of video leaked out of the dressing room showing him doing exactly that - dancing, drinking, cringing. And then Patel himself couldn't resist Supposedly we sent 100 agents to help with security and he just had to be there. Guesstimated cost just for his latest stage of his perpetual vacation on our dime? $400,000. It would be bad - a future administration will probably address it as misappropriation of funds. But what makes it worse is there's a piece by Patel from 2022 complaining about previous FBI directors wasting money on vacation, and a clip about his FBI predecessor Christopher Wray's vacation travel. Simply impeaching him is insufficient. He needs to go to prison. NOT THAT TRUMP WOULD DO THAT; THIS IS THE BEHAVIOR TRUMP TEACHES: Trump is a thief and he owes you and me at least 293 billion dollars - and we want it back. The worst thief in American history - and 270 billion of that is in tariffs. Because on tariffs, the Supreme Court has given him his COMEUPPANCE. Well – it’s given him A comeuppance. Because his new argument for the new REPLACEMENT Monday tariffs was his old argument AGAINST overturning the old Friday tariffs. But the key thing the Court actually did was give his cult a mortal shock. It is the first official body to give the Trump-Town Guyana Death Cult the message: that he is making this crap up, as he goes ALONG. -- Plus: an actual good idea from Boris Johnson: to send peacekeepers to Ukraine – NOW. And I’M the guy who thinks the Hockey Gold Medal is a BAD THING. And no, the John Barron who called into C-SPAN wasn’t Trump – he was too coherent. B-Block (40:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Mark Zuckerberg manages to lose a lawsuit before the trial starts, Kid Rock proves he's not charging $5000 for front row tickets by confessing he IS charging $5000 for front row tickets, and Stephen Miller's wife has another one of those Freudian slips that may be desperate pleas for help from inside a bad situation. C-Block (50:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Baseball has already started so time for my annual explanation: why I don't work for baseball's TV network even though they offered me my own show and I accepted it. It has to do with a big league club threatening them if they didn't renege.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In Part 2 of the conversation with the Seattle Clemency Project, we are joined by Brooke Kaufman, Director of Communications and Author, at the SCP, and client Grady Mitchell. In a deeply personal look at what clemency truly means, not just in policy, but in people's lives, Grady shares his journey of transformation, purpose, and paying forward the hope he was given. It was his hope that helped him face unimaginable personal challenges with unwaver-ing strength, during his 37-year incarceration. This episode goes beyond the legal process, revealing the human impact of second chances in a system where parole does not exist. Through stories of resilience, advocacy, and belief in human potential, this conversation is just another reminder that redemption isn't just possible, it's lived, every day.

Luiz Rizental (aka “Brazil God”) is one of those poker guys where the résumé sounds fake… but somehow it's all real: Brazil-born kid → moves to Austin at 9 → full immersion, no ESL, straight into American school SMU soccer player → investment banking during the 2009 crash → then full-time trader addicted to volatility Never played poker seriously until 2017 → loses $1,000, then $60,000 in a week during the pandemic app-game boom Break-even became the goal → survival mode turned into studying, stream games, and eventually an NBC Heads-Up Championship runIn this episode, Art (https://x.com/artparmann) and Justin (https://x.com/justinyoung07) sit down with Brazil God to talk about: How trading and poker are similar… and why poker is way more dangerous psychologically Why you can make a terrible decision in poker and still get rewarded (and how that messes with your brain) The $60K week that forced him to actually learn strategy Why most “smart” people stay bad at poker forever Hustler stream games, personality vs strategy, and whether he's “putting on a show” The ACR shirt troll vs Nacho (and the 11-minute cooler that ended it) Playing Justin in the NBC Heads-Up Championship and the Brian Rast shirt revenge arc Why he hates tournaments… and why he loves sweating pieces insteadIf you've ever wondered what happens when a high-volatility trader walks into a poker room and refuses to take it too seriously—this is it.

Devin & James are back in the Den for a career retrospective of one of Hollywood's greatest curmudgeons: GEORGE C. SCOTT!! We've been promising this one for years, and it's finally here. We've selected a handful of our personal favorite Scott performances, starting with Paul Schrader's notorious sleazeball thriller HARDCORE. Next, we ride the streets of 1970s Los Angeles with the criminally under-seen THE NEW CENTURIONS. Then we check ourselves into THE HOSPITAL for a particularly (im)potent Scott performance, and follow that with the existential cool of THE LAST RUN. Next, we take a trip to 1968 San Francisco in the disjointed romance of PETUNIA. Finally, we get spooky as hell with the greatest cold-case ghost story of all time, THE CHANGELING. Along the way, we take shorter looks at many other Scott essentials, such as DR. STRANGELOVE, PATTON, THE HUSTLER, ANATOMY OF A MURDER, RAGE, EXORCIST III, THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS, THE LIST OF ADRIAN MESSENGER, ISLANDS IN THE STREAM, and even a few others. Grab a stiff drink, settle in, and enjoy cinema's greatest angry man in all his salty glory.

Gift Someone (Or Yourself) An RR Tee! https://shorturl.at/hekk2 The Jo(h)n Squad is back to give their CARS Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review! John Humphrey and Jon Maturan rev up their reaction and review of Pixar's 2006 animated classic Cars, a high-energy, heartwarming story about speed, humility, and finding purpose off the beaten path. The film follows hotshot rookie race car Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson, Wedding Crashers, Midnight in Paris), whose obsession with winning lands him stranded in the forgotten desert town of Radiator Springs on the way to the Piston Cup Championship. What begins as an inconvenience slowly becomes a life-changing detour as Lightning learns the value of friendship, community, and slowing down to appreciate the journey. Along the way, Lightning forms an unlikely bond with wise tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, Cars 2), sparks a romance with determined attorney Sally Carrera (Bonnie Hunt, Jumanji, Toy Story 4), and gains mentorship from legendary racer Doc Hudson (Paul Newman, Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler). Packed with iconic moments like Lightning's crash on Route 66, Mater's hilarious tractor-tipping escapades, Doc's reveal as the Hudson Hornet, and the emotional Piston Cup finale, Cars blends laugh-out-loud humor with Pixar's signature emotional storytelling. We break down the film's themes of legacy, ego, and redemption, why Radiator Springs remains one of Pixar's most memorable worlds, and how Cars became a beloved franchise for generations of fans. Marc Cox and the team fire through four packed hours of sharp political insight and cutting humor. Hour 1 opens with lighter banter on Punxsutawney Phil before diving into California's shocking $3.5 billion hospice fraud and a blistering takedown of Vogue's love letter to Gavin Newsom. Hour 2 shifts to national politics — from the population boom in Trump-won swing states and Ryan Schmelz's analysis of the SAVE Act and standing filibuster to Marc's big announcement that he'll cover Trump's State of the Union live from D.C., wrapping with oddball headlines on caviar nuggets and frozen iguanas. Hour 3 blends state issues and scandals: Missouri Sen. Adam Schnelting details his plan to move school board elections and eliminate state taxes, followed by Kim's exposé on how hospice fraudsters prey on seniors. Hour 4 brings it home with Lt. Gov. David Wasinger calling for live-stream transparency in the Missouri Senate, Jeff Monasso reporting from Minnesota's ICE protest chaos, and Marc breaking down America's “red state boom” and the firing of a nurse who advocated letting ICE agents bleed out — a chilling sign of the Left's descent into madness. Marc opens the show with laughs over Punxsutawney Phil and the forecasted polar vortex before tearing into Hollywood hypocrisy and ICE critics. Kim's “Whim” exposes a stunning $3.5 billion hospice scam in California, where fraudsters prey on seniors for profit. The hour ends with Marc torching Vogue's breathless 25-page puff piece on Gavin Newsom — a “slick, silver-haired salesman” getting presidential polish from a fawning media class blind to California's rot. Tore Price was serving time behind the wall, in Michigan, when he learned about the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program being taught by the University of Michigan. According to Tore, there were 1,000 incarcerated individuals who rushed to sign up for the weekly class with students from the University. With only 15 slots available lady luck was definitely on Tores side. When asking him to describe the Inside-Out Program, his words were short and sweet, intellectual espresso. For Tore, this was the launching pad that propelled him to not only continue to educate himself but also be an advocate for other incarcerated individuals. Having served his ten-year sentence, Tore is now a training coach and special program coordinator for the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program. Proof that education is a tool for resistance, dignity, and collective liberation.

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy, and Dana welcome Connor back on the show to discuss the 1986 drama The Color of Money. It's got the director (Scorsese). It's got the cast (Newman, Cruise, Mastrantoniosmithjonesjohnson). It's got the pedigree (sequel to the 1961 classic The Hustler). It's even got the location (Atlantic City, New Jersey). There is just something missing from this movie. It's not bad. It's just not that good either. Maybe it is the Eric Clapton of it all. Enjoy the podcast!Jason, Andy and Dana will discuss a 1986 movie weekly, breaking down all the nonsense there within. This week on the Video Store Podcast I am recommending four sequels that understood what they were doing. Not every follow up needs to top the original. Sometimes the smarter move is to change perspective, lean into experience, or admit that the audience already knows the rules. These films take different approaches, but all of them show intent rather than obligation.Bride of Frankenstein (1935)James Whale treats the sequel as a chance to reshape the story rather than extend it. The film is openly stylized, emotionally direct, and comfortable mixing humor with unease. Elsa Lanchester appearing as both Mary Shelley and the Bride signals how self aware the film is from the start. At just over an hour it wastes nothing, and every choice feels deliberate. Universal horror rarely let directors put this much personality on screen, which makes it stand out even now.Psycho II (1983)Instead of chasing shock, this film focuses on Norman Bates after years of confinement. Anthony Perkins plays him with restraint and patience, letting the tension come from uncertainty rather than spectacle. The movie also knows the audience brings baggage with them, and it uses that knowledge carefully. Released at a time when many horror sequels went broader, this one went inward. The Color of Money (1986)Paul Newman returns to Fast Eddie Felson as someone shaped by time and compromise. Martin Scorsese treats The Hustler as history, not a template to be copied. The film is about pride, mentorship, and what it means to keep competing when winning is no longer simple. Newman earned his Oscar here, and it feels tied to the character's accumulated weight rather than a single performance beat.Gremlins 2 The New Batch (1990)Joe Dante uses the sequel to tear the whole idea apart. The film is packed with effects, jokes, and commentary, and it never pauses to justify itself. It openly mocks sequels, corporate culture, and even the audience's expectations. The commitment is total, and that confidence is why it works. These four films do not share a tone, a genre, or a strategy. What they share is clarity. Each one knows why it exists and what it wants to explore next. That is what makes them worth renting again, not as curiosities, but as examples of sequels that made real successful choices. Thanks for reading Video Store Podcast! While prisons in the United States offer a variety of educational pursuits, it only took a brief conversation between a college educator and an incarcerated individual for the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program to be born. Four decades later, the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program is still going strong, thanks to Founder, Lori Pompa. Lori's vision to bring her students, from Temple University to interface with incarcerated individuals, in a unique classroom setting, behind the wall, was not only a leap of faith but ahead of its time. In Lori's own words, “It is a class, though not an ordinary one. In this class roles are intermingled; everyone is the teacher, and everyone is the learner.” Staying in step with her college classes timeline and curriculum, this powerful education model changed the narrative for all. Once a week for an entire college semester, students around the world arrive at local prisons and sit in Lori's now famous circle of curriculum, compassion, and collaboration. All these years later, this innovative model continues to foster dialogue and understanding between incarcerated individuals and college students while continuing to grow organically. Today more than 1600 college/university professors, along with other educators, and 15 countries around the globe, teach Inside-Out courses.
Enjoyed this episode or the podcast in general? Send me a text message:The most decisive missions are the ones that never launch. This episode tracks a living thread of strategic airpower—from the magnesium “Peacemaker” to the digital-native Raider—and shows how bombers shaped diplomacy as much as war. We start with first principles: why strategic bombing is about deterrence and credibility, not dogfights or sorties flown. Then we follow the lineage. The B-36 proved that range equals influence and helped cement the nuclear triad. The B-47 unlocked the jet age for both the military and commercial aviation, but at a human and structural cost that forced training and engineering revolutions. The B-52 outlived its would‑be replacements by adapting—from nuclear alert to precision strike—through Vietnam, Desert Storm, and operations across the 21st century.Speed had its moment. The B-58 Hustler and XB‑70 Valkyrie chased Mach numbers until Soviet SAMs rewrote the rules. Tactics dropped to the weeds, and the B‑1 Lancer became the low‑level penetrator built to survive. Stealth changed the game again. The B‑2 Spirit's low‑observable design, long‑range precision, and deployments from Diego Garcia showed how to blind defenses and finish fights fast—especially when paired with carrier air wings, Growlers, Tomahawks, and Aegis SM‑6 shields in coordinated SEAD.Enter the B‑21 Raider. Smaller than the B‑2, stealthier by design, and built for the Pacific's realities, it combines buried engines, recessed inlets, and next‑gen RAM coatings with open‑architecture software, modular hardware, and optional manning. That makes it more than a bomber: a sensor, a comms node, and a drone quarterback ready for CCAs, hypersonics, and future weapons. With genuine intercontinental range and a price curve trending down, the Raider is poised to become the air‑breathing backbone of deterrence—able to penetrate A2/AD belts without staking tankers or forward bases. From six turning and four burning to radar‑ghost silent, this story isn't nostalgia. It's a systems view of power projection, where the right mix of stealth, range, and integration cools crises before they boil. If this journey resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend who loves aviation history and strategy, and leave a review telling us which bomber best matched its moment.Support the showTo help support this podcast and become a PilotPhotog ProCast member: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1555784/supportIf you enjoy this episode, subscribe to this podcast, you can find links to most podcast streaming services here: PilotPhotog Podcast (buzzsprout.com) Sign up for the free weekly newsletter Hangar Flyingwith Tog here: https://hangarflyingwithtog.com You can check out my YouTube channel for many videos on fighter planes here: https://youtube.com/c/PilotPhotog If you'd like to support this podcast via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotog And finally, you can follow me on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/pilotphotog

Dan Sheridan and Ashley Anderson are both PhDs and licensed behavior analysts, but don't let their titles fool you; their work at Auburn University is no desk job. In partnership with the Alabama Department of Youth Services, Dan and Ashley head up a team of undergraduate stu-dents, graduate clinicians, and full-time staff who provide support for juvenile offenders within a local secure residential facility. Listen in as they share their insights on the intersection of research, education, and lived experience, and how these elements can create transformative outcomes for young people at critical turning points in their lives. The conversation highlights the importance of behavior analysis in reducing recidivism and addresses the root causes of crime, emphasizing the necessity for community involvement in supporting youth reintegration.
“Broken Hustler not a broken Hustle”
Whether he's playing billiards or table tennis, a successful hustler requires no small amount of charisma, something Timothée Chalamet's ping-pong pro undeniably has in Marty Supreme, though it's of a decidedly different flavor than that of Paul Newman in The Hustler. Whether that charisma translates to a character we want to root for as he makes a mess of his own life, as well as those of the people (and one unfortunate dog) around him, is up for debate in our discussion of Josh Safdie's new anxiety attack in movie form. Then we pit Marty's game against Fast Eddie's as we move into Connections to discuss the magic and morality of hustling, charismatic liars and the women who are drawn to them — even when they can see right through them — and whether these men chasing victory on their own terms, and at the cost of everything else, is inspirational or pitiful. Then in Your Next Picture Show, Scott sticks up for The Color of Money, Scorsese's Hustler sequel that can't quite best its predecessor, but still has plenty of swagger all its own. The new Marty Supreme follows a table-tennis phenom with the talent necessary to beat the best players in the world, if only he can keep his self-destructive tendencies from getting in the way. Swap out “table tennis” for “pool” in that description and you more or less have Robert Rossen's 1961 drama The Hustler, which we revisit this week not only to bask in the incomparable onscreen charisma of Paul Newman, but also to consider the film's ideas about what makes a winner — and a loser — and its noir-adjacent portrait of the gambling underworld. Then, in place of Feedback this week, we're reflecting on the late Rob Reiner's legacy on screens both big and small, and within an industry he helped shape in countless ways. #903. Comedian, actor, theater kid, chaos enthusiast — Gianmarco Soresi joins Kaitlyn for a laugh-out-loud, no-notes-needed episode recorded in New York City.Gianmarco opens up about starting out as a musical theater kid with Broadway dreams, how singing still sneaks its way into his comedy, his time on movie sets (yes, one involved J.Lo), and why he genuinely enjoys being bullied at SoulCycle. They riff on reality TV, producers, hecklers, triggering April Fools jokes, long-term relationships, creative highs, embarrassing on-stage moments, and a very questionable TV show idea involving… small weens. It's silly, honest, and the kind of conversation that only happens when two people are fully cracking each other up — basically, the perfect episode to throw on when you want to laugh and feel like you're hanging out with friends. Enjoy
Have you ever looked successful on paper… yet felt like something was quietly off behind the scenes? Like you were winning the game, but not really winning at life? That's exactly the tension we unpack in this episode and trust me, it goes way deeper than money or business tactics. In this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I sit down with my good friend Ben Wilson for a real, grounded, no-BS conversation about wealth, legacy, faith, and what it actually means to live a life that feels aligned. Ben is the Owner and Broker of Team Wilson Real Estate Partners and one of the most intentional humans I know. His team owns and manages over $300 million in real estate assets and has surpassed $1 billion in total sales, but what really stood out to me from the moment we met wasn't the numbers. It was how he shows up as a husband, father, leader, and man of faith. This episode matters because Ben doesn't just talk about success; he lives it in a way that doesn't sacrifice family, integrity, or joy along the way.We dive into how pain, not ambition, was the catalyst that led Ben into real estate and ultimately reshaped his entire approach to life. One of the biggest takeaways is the idea that you can be “winning” financially and still be losing if you don't understand the rules of the game you're playing. Ben breaks down a powerful framework using the baseball diamond to explain why character has to come first, community second, and contribution third, and how reversing that order creates chaos, stress, and burnout.Another huge lesson from this conversation is Ben's seven non-negotiables for life and leadership. Simple on the surface, but profound in practice: show up, be consistent, have a great attitude, commit for the long haul, live with faith and passion, be willing to pay the price, and always do the next right thing. These aren't motivational quotes. They're daily filters Ben uses to guide his family, his businesses, and his decisions. We also talk deeply about legacy not as something you leave someday, but something you live right now. Ben shares why he believes true wealth is about building enough resources to create harmony across mind, body, and spirit, so you can ultimately give it all away. And maybe my favorite part of the episode? The reminder that fun isn't optional. It's strategic. Focus, fearlessness, and freedom aren't just nice ideas. They're the formula for a life that actually feels worth living. This conversation is packed with wisdom for entrepreneurs, leaders, and anyone who wants more than just financial success. If you're building a business, raising a family, or trying to figure out how to do both without losing yourself in the process, this episode will meet you right where you are. What does Happy Hustlin mean to you? Ben says I chose to leave a job so that I could pursue my calling each and every day and literally share it with the world and fill everybody's cup, including my own.Connect with Benhttp://www.facebook.com/TeamWilsonRealEstatehttps://www.instagram.com/teamwilsonrep/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiIiynkk0Gw_rBhFZ1ZHN2ghttps://www.instagram.com/teamwilsonrep/https://twitter.com/TeamWilsonREPFind Ben on this website: https://www.teamwilsontn.com/Connect with Cary!https://www.instagram.com/caryjack/https://www.facebook.com/SirCaryJackhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/cary-jack-kendzior/https://twitter.com/thehappyhustlehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFDNsD59tLxv2JfEuSsNMOQ/featured Get a free copy of his new book, The Happy Hustle, 10 Alignments to Avoid Burnout & Achieve Blissful Balance https://www.thehappyhustle.com/bookSign up for The Journey: 10 Days To Become a Happy Hustler Online Coursehttps://thehappyhustle.com/thejourney/Apply to the Montana Mastermind Epic Camping Adventurehttps://thehappyhustle.com/mastermind/“It's time to Happy Hustle, a blissfully balanced life you love, full of passion, purpose, and positive impact!”Episode Sponsors:If you're feeling stressed, not sleeping great, or your energy's been kinda meh lately—let me put you on to something that's been a total game-changer for me: Magnesium Breakthrough by BiOptimizers. Today Kristen Boss pulls back the curtain on a common struggle so many high-achievers face which is being addicted to the idea of transformation rather than the actual process of it.If you're someone who constantly finds themselves buying planners, signing up for new programs, and telling yourself, “This time will be different” only to fizzle out days later? This episode is a must-listen. Kristen introduces the concept of the “Hope Hustler”: someone hooked on the emotional high of fresh starts but who struggles to stay committed when the novelty wears off.She breaks down the psychology behind this pattern, the nervous system's role in resistance, and how our obsession with speed and excitement keeps us from real transformation.
