Today on the show we have Michael Buzinski. Michael is the author of the Rule of 26 and a master of the art of fractional CMOs. We are going to discover what exactly the Rule of 26 is when it comes to marketing and craft a story of the power of this rule in Michael's own words and experiences. In This Episode: Fractionals are part-time people giving full-time service because they have systems that allow them to create the output of a full-time person without always having to be there. The Rule of 26 is a concept that I created to help entrepreneurs understand what marketing is all about. It is all based on key performance indicators (KPIs). When we look at marketing most of it is done online now. We need traffic to our website, conversions, and average revenue per client is a huge revenue mover. And so much more!!! In this episode of Design for the Creative Mind, I had the pleasure of speaking with Michael Buzinski, affectionately known as Buzz, a US Air Force veteran, serial entrepreneur, international speaker, and best-selling author. Buzz shared his expertise on digital marketing for small businesses, particularly focusing on his innovative Rule of 26, which aims to double a company's revenue by increasing three key performance indicators (KPIs) by 26%. Buzz explained that during the pandemic, he recognized the need for a simplified marketing approach to help small and micro-businesses, like interior designers, thrive. He identified three KPIs that directly affect revenue: website traffic, conversion rates, and average revenue per client (ARPC). By increasing each of these by 26%, businesses can potentially double their revenue. We delved into the importance of a well-crafted website that not only showcases a portfolio but also filters out clients who aren't the right fit. Buzz emphasized the value of storytelling and creating an experience that resonates with potential clients, leading to higher engagement and conversion. Additionally, Buzz offered tactical advice on generating traffic through social media groups, strategic partnerships, and targeted advertising. He stressed the importance of diversifying marketing efforts and continuously testing different strategies to avoid reliance on a single source of leads. As a special offer to our listeners, Buzz is giving away free copies of his book, "The Rule of 26," which can be claimed at ruleoftwo6.com. Note: Buzz's book and the text number for business tips are mentioned as resources for listeners, and these details are included in the show notes for easy access. Mike Buzinski has been dubbed a visionary marketer by the American Marketing Association. With over 30 years of experience in the digital marketing field, Michael tapped into his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Buzzworthy.biz, where he offers a variety of packages to his clients. Michael has worked with Bass Pro Shop and the American Diabetes Association. Creator of the ‘Rule of 26', Michael's mission is to reduce the confusion and intricacies of building websites and creating marketing campaigns. Using the Rule of 26, Michael has helped many businesses increase their KPIs to get a compound effect of 100% more revenue for their website. Michael shares his strategies to simplify digital marketing and explains the framework for the Rule of 26, so you can grow your business using tested ROI strategies. Michael Buzinski, creator of “The Rule of 26,” knows how to use digital marketing to increase your website revenue by 100%. Founder of BuzzWorthy.biz, Michael offers three tracks for his clientele: do it yourself, done with you, or done for you. With a niche in service-centric businesses, Michael and his team know the importance of ROI-driven techniques to increase website traffic, conversion rate, and overall digital brand awareness and authority. Michael's career path took an interesting path; he started his career in marketing and corporate sales for various national brands. However, without a college degree, Michael realized he wouldn't be able to climb up the corporate ladder. When he looked at his options, he realized that college was not a possibility due to his lack of financial ability and the availability of student loans. So Michael decided to follow in his father's footsteps, and he enlisted in the military. After serving for the next ten years, Michael found himself in Alaska with no employable skills. That's when his entrepreneurial spirit kicked in. Michael opened Buzz Media, a marketing company for musicians. Michael pivoted and expanded his reach to media for small businesses when his initial approach was unsuccessful. After a few years, Michael realized that his success didn't afford him the freedom he was looking for in life, so again Michael closed his doors and opened a new one. That is how BuzzWorthy was founded, a digital marketing company that focuses solely on digital marketing for small businesses. Strategy is at the top of a solid digital marketing campaign in Michael's business model. How you will do what you want to do is most important. Getting the clients is easy, but you need to know how to attract them, onboard them, and retain them. Without a solid strategy, a good marketing campaign can break your business. The universe doesn't see all the testing, failing, small wins, and big wins that go into becoming an overnight success. They don't see the ten years of marketing missteps and hard work that created the overnight success. They don't see the strategy side, only the increased sales. That is what Michael helps bring into focus. To help his clients understand how strategy plays into success, Michael created the Rule of 26. This framework is based on increasing unique traffic, average revenue per client, and website conversion rates by 26%. This creates a compounded revenue increase of 100% in online sales. This strategy focuses on moving the revenue needle for clients and not KPIs. The Rule of 26 focuses on the KPIs”s that move revenue forward, and that's where all the marketing efforts go. To break down the process further, Michael has his clients understand their purpose and how they will serve their target audience. Small businesses do one of two things, they either solve problems or help people attain their dreams. If they're not doing one of those two things, they are doing something wrong. Then you need to create a website that speaks to your avatar because not all traffSupport the show
When it comes time to make decisions that impact your business and how it functions, nobody will argue that knowledge is power. Knowing which pieces of information to focus on, and which ones to ignore, and why, is powerful knowledge in and of itself. When it comes time to worry about revenue growth, especially in uncertain times, the proper method is to resort to numbers rather than snake oil. So settle in and lend Michael Buzinski a listen as he explains how focusing on only 3 key metrics will double your revenue.

Making Conversations Count: Honest, relatable conversations with business leaders
Are you using the correct KPIs to ensure your website is attracting the correct kind of traffic for you? Making Conversations about website marketing Count! "Social media is not where we test markets. Unless you have the following of your perfect clients, your target market, you are not testing on social media." Michael Buzinski, Making Conversations Count - (April 2022) Psst! Low on data? Here's a lower bandwidth version for you. Effective use of website marketing When it comes to website marketing, you have to be willing to put in the work if you want to see results. Too many business owners make the mistake of thinking that they can simply create a website and wait for the customers to come flooding in. That's not how it works! You have to be proactive and generate traffic yourself. One way to do that is by using the "Rule of 26." The tips and strategy contained within this episode of Making Conversations Count will help you escape low traffic woe and massively increase your website's revenue generation power! You'll learn.... In this episode of "Making Conversations Count" in which Michael Buzinski shares how to properly use website marketing covers: Fear in your marketing Start with local Facebook is dead? Everyone's an expert The Conversation that counted for ‘Buzz' A poignant moment from the episode: Wendy I've built my own website on Weebly years ago and then kind of maintained it, and I thought that was all I needed to do. And then it all changed and somebody said, "oh, WordPress!" And I was like, I haven't got a clue. Now. I haven't got line of sight of my own website because I don't understand it. And I haven't really had the time for anybody to particularly show me. The only thing I want to do is upload the blog. For me, it should be fairly static. When people have told me that there is so much more to having a website than just having a website, I haven't come away feeling convinced. People that are talking to me about having a website because everybody does. And I don't want to be like everybody else does and just trust that you're telling me that and you want me to part with how much money and then them say, oh, but you've got to treat it like person. It's a person's salary. It's the equivalent of a person's salary. Well, I can't afford a VA. So why would I pay for another salary? It makes it conceivably out of reach for a lot of people, because then they don't really understand what it is that they should be doing and what it is that they need to have. So they can go and ask somebody to say, "can you do this for me?" Because if you don't feel like you know the questions, how do you ask? Michael Buzinski You're bringing up the point of pricing, right? And so that's, like, the next level. You could love my methodology and you could love me. You could say, I buy into the buzz. Buzz is the man, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But if I bring to you a price that you can't afford, you can't afford it, period. End of story. But you also have to understand, even if you can't afford it, it's good to get your options out there. It's good to do research and talk to at least two people. No more than three. If you go beyond three in your research, you want to find the two to three that you really like. You understand at least what their website is saying. And you've gone to their social media and you're like, okay, this person seems like they know what they're talking about. That's great. Now go in and ask, okay, what are you offering? How does that help me? And what is the pricing for that? The lowest price is usually depending if it's super low, you know, you get what you pay for. So if it's too good to be true, it probably is when it comes to pricing. Click here for the full transcript What IS Making Conversations Count? What do people say and think about your brand online? It carries much more weight with potential customers than your own marketing messaging. Always responding to negative comments and reviews are opportunities for service-based marketers to turn haters and detractors back into customers and brand loyalists. Today's guest is Michael Buzinski from Buzzworthy Integrated Marketing. He talks about why reputation management matters and how to make it right. The shortcut to good reputation management is awesome customer service. Under promise. Over deliver. Service-based Businesses: Getting new clients to know, like, trust is challenging Negative Comments/Complaints: Don't take them personally, but seriously Same Situation, Different Opinion: Customer isn't always right - understand why Positive Reviews: Systemize, automate, or incentivize reputation management Customer Scores: Do satisfaction, service, retention scores make an impact? Common Mistakes: Don't be too zealous or pushy, or you lose loyalty, advocacy Links: Michael Buzinski on LinkedIn Buzzworthy Integrated Marketing Buzzrep Ben Sailer on LinkedIn CoSchedule Quotes from Michael Buzinski: “What strangers have to say about you and your company literally has more weight than what your mom says about you.” “People hire people. They don't hire features. They don't hire benefits. They hire the person to deliver those features and benefits.” “Seven out of 10 people will complain before they praise.” “The new way, one of the best ways to utilize reputation management is getting video testimonials on your website.”
