Joel Tasche founded CleanHub, a Berlin-based company that provides a scalable solution to plastic pollution. CleanHub connects coastal communities to proper waste collection in places where that doesn't exist, at the same time creating safe and dignified jobs. Brands can support the mission by funding the collection of waste that otherwise wouldn't be collected. CleanHub accepts ALL types of plastic – not just the stuff that's easy to turn into value. CleanHub's AI technology tracks the entire process from collection to disposal, ensuring transparency. It's verified by TÜV SÜD according to ISO standards Joel's mission was sparked by a love of the ocean. As a traveler and surfer, he witnessed firsthand the heartbreaking reality of plastic pollution, everywhere he went. Whilst disheartened, Joel resolved to dedicate his working life to keeping plastic out of the sea. Many doubted he could make a difference. Fast forward to today, CleanHub has collected over 9 million kgs of plastic waste and partnered with more than 300 brands, helping them reduce plastic and collect more plastic than they use. Whilst we see images of ocean plastics, beach plastics and landfills, we're perhaps less familiar with the dreadful working conditions of those trying to earn a living by collecting and sorting the waste. Resolving this is at the heart of CleanHub's mission, and we'll more about how it does that. Joel also talks about the complexities of plastic waste collection, how to scale new ventures, and how keeping ethics at the heart of your business really helps bring everyone along with you.

Lots of people and companies can scale, obviously, but are they actually happy? What does happy mean when it comes to sales? It's more than just hitting your quota this month, but how much effort did it take to close it? How much manual activity are you doing in a day? And is leadership happy? Can they see the full pipeline at any given moment? Are they able to plan growth for their organization? All of these pieces contribute to the overall company happiness, individual happiness and team happiness. So today, I'm talking about the elephant in the room - how to create happy, scalable sales teams, ones where salespeople are able to thrive in their roles and be successful. I'm going to discuss the three biggest areas where sales teams struggle to become scalable revenue closing machines, as well as how to use the opportunity of having open conversations about sales processes. What is Covered:-Why marketing and sales teams often fight and point fingers at each other-How to allow for vulnerability in the conversations with sales and marketing teams-The importance of asking questions internally throughout the sales process-The value of visibility and underlying tone of conversations for marketers -Why big organizations tend to struggle more with team structures and processes-How the lack of clearly defined goals prevents sales teams from scaling-How to improve the transparency of reporting on sales activities-How to overcome the fear of automation and actually help your team to scaleResources:-Get the FREE roadmap to finding and keeping your business happy https://marketveep.com/happy -Learn more about MarketVeep https://marketveep.com -Find us on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/market-veep/ -Follow us on X https://twitter.com/market_veep -Follow us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/market_veep/ -Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/marketveep/

However, no matter what your financial goal or marketing strategy looks like, there's one thing that every single business owner needs to do if they want to increase their income while working less: build an offer suite that will scale. If your offers are locking you into trading time for money, then it will be impossible for you to jump off the hamster wheel and reach your income goals. But when you have a solid offer suite in place that is fully in alignment with your financial goals, your marketing strategies will start giving you a better return on your investment, and you'll reach your goals faster. So today, I'm going to share how to create an offer suite that scales in 3 simple steps.SHOW NOTES: jadeboyd.co/build-a-scaleable-offer-suite LINKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Ep. 70: 4 Ways to Scale your Service Based BusinessEp. 62: Simple Sells – Clarify These 5 Things to Simplify and Streamline your Marketing StrategyDouble your Profit While Working Less MasterclassThe Business Edit coaching programCONNECT WITH JADEWebsiteInstagramJoin My Email List LEVEL UP YOUR BUSINESS + PRODUCTIVITYOrganize your Business Digital CourseThe Business Edit™ Coaching ProgramFREE RESOURCESFREE Double your Profit While Working Less MasterclassFREE Task Batching WorkbookFREE Weekly Review ChecklistThe Business Minimalist Blueprint WorkbookThe Business Minimalist Podcast ArchiveMentioned in this episode:Join Me Inside the Business Edit Group Coaching Program Today! The Business Edit is a 12-month group coaching program for overwhelmed service providers who want to simplify and scale their business so they can earn more while working less. E14: Today, I'm sharing a framework called the 'I / We / They' framework that I developed to help me gain clarity on what I need to work depending on the stage of my business. I wish that someone had taught me this framework 7 years ago when I first became an entrepreneur.***TOPICS:I / We / They Framework (2:09)There are 3 parts to this framework: Experimental, Operational, and Scaleable, corresponding to I, We, and They respectively.Experimental Phase (2:26)The Experimental phase of your business starts with yourself. This is where the "I" portion of this framework comes into play. It's characterized by building your audience and validating your ideas. During this phase, you're trying lots of new things. You're still exploring what might work and that's OK. This phase tends to have the greatest fear of failure and self-doubt as you'll have more questions than answers.Operational Phase (6:12)You need to create three primary systems: lead-generation, value-delivery, and overall operations. Build an all-star caliber team around you to help you with these 3 processes. Work with them carefully and refine these systems over time. Mentor your team and teach them everything you know about your business.Scaleable Phase (15:03)So your business is growing and you're working with your team to build out processes and systematize your operations. Now, it's time to empower your team. What motivates employees is the autonomy to make big decisions for the company. Ownership over creation. Ownership over decision-making. Ownership over action. The biggest growth levers in my own business happened when I let go of control and delegated the decision-making process to my team.Strategies for Delegation (16:45)Encourage your team to brainstorm solutions first. Then, give feedback on the decisions that your team makes. If you must come up with the plan yourself, get your team's buy-in so that they feel ownership over that decision. And lastly, trust your team to make the right calls, but it doesn't hurt to verify first. By doing this, you're eliminating your own decision-making bottleneck at the company and also empowering your employees. Elevate the key operators in your business to take the reins from you.***LINKS:Episode 12 - How to Find, Nurture,JOIN: First Class Founders Premium MembershipDOWNLOAD: Hyper-Visuals For Our Episodes (Free)***FOLLOW / REVIEW:- Follow - Leave 5-star review***CONNECT W/ YONG-SOO:- X- Threads- LinkedIn- Newsletter***First Class Founders is a show for indie hackers, bootstrapped founders, CEOs, solopreneurs, content creators, startup entrepreneurs, and SaaS startups covering topics like build in public, audience growth, product marketing, scaling up, side hustles, holding company, etc. Past guests include Arvid Kahl, Tyler Denk, Noah Kagan, Clint Murphy, Jay Abraham, Andrew Gazdecki, Matt McGarry, Nick Huber, Khe Hy, and more. After receiving a distressing email from a successful dental practice owner this week who is finding he is working harder and harder, staying later at work into the night reviewing patient cases or to write referrals, getting home late. Subsequently it is having an impact on his family … especially missing time and events with his two young children. In this episode Dr Jesse lays out his 5 Steps to having a successful practice … AND, a life you love! In this episode we discuss: [3:04] - The 3 levels of growth in a Dental Practice. A group of people who know what to do, they know how to do it, and they are empowered to make decisions ‘like you'. You want your ‘batteries included'. First he took a PhD in gravity waves, then he got a position at Hyperloop One because of some truly shocking problem-solving skills (as far as I can tell, just listen to the episode and see if you agree), and THEN he worked at NASA JPL, where the literal rocket science happens. Every single one of these topics could have been their own 2 hour 40 minute podcast - but we hardly go there. This episode focuses on Casey's current endeavour after he left NASA: Terraform Industries, a carbon capture project that's designed to be ultra-scaleable - which is what the world VERY much needs. Is Casey's carbon capture project feasible? If solar power becomes cheap enough, Casey thinks so. The episode was recorded before the current war in Ukraine, and with the war, gas prices have gone up so much that Casey's technology would be profitable today. The war has also shown (as if that was necessary) the value of producing one's own natural gas, which Terraform's machines are promising to do. It sounds almost too optimistic to be true, but Casey's credentials speak for themselves. This may be the most optimism-inducing podcast I've recorded so far, and on twitter, you can tag me @oysteinrunde and casey @cjhandmer if you have any questions or grievances. His twitter bio reads "Physicist, Immigrant, Pilot, Dad.Former Caltech, Hyperloop, NASA JPL.Founder @terraformindie", and he came to my attention when a lot of smart space people shared his essay "Starship is still not understood". https://caseyhandmer.wordpress.com/2021/10/28/starship-is-still-not-understood/ If you want me to make a similar episode where we ONLY talk about SpaceX' and Elon Musk's masterpiece Starship, the spaceship that promises to really change the space industry for humankind, please find me on Instagram @rundeshow and send a PM, and do leave reviews and comments on this podcast wherever you listen to your podcasts. "There is a standard side game that many people play called the Nassau bet. There's a wager on the front nine, a separate wager on the back nine and then you add them both together in match play and whoever wins the most holes wins the overall. So it's three separate bets. Craig and I used to play a dollar-dollar-dollar game. That's what we would call it on the first hole. He'd walk up, look at me and say "dollar-dollar-dollar?" and I'd respond "Absolutely!" "I had software clients out golfing at the same time that (my now Co-Founder) Craig had financial clients out and we serendipitously wound up at the same restaurant. He saw me, walked up and said, "hey, we should have been able to play our dollar-dollar-dollar game on two different courses" and I snap answered him and said, "Man, I can build that, that's a mobile app. No problem!" ...Tom Naramore, CEO at D3Golf.com https://files.fireside.fm/file/fireside-uploads/images/1/1ea879c1-a4a2-4e10-bea4-e5d8368a3c7a/_7TKXh6t.jpg "I met a gentleman by the name of Peter Meng and he spent half an hour showing me his tech. Afterwards all I said to him was, "What do you think about a virtual wallet in a mobile app, two guys playing golf either on the same or different courses? They play, the app does all the math and then the app sends the money to the winner." And that's all I said to him. 24 hours later he called me back. "My AHA moment came when I met with the guys diving for lost golf balls in the lakes at the course I was managing, followed by our website developer for the golf club. I thought "what if I combine the divers to provide the product and the web developers to build an e-commerce platform to start selling used golf balls online?" That was the launch in 1995 that set the foundation for golfballs.com. We took our hobby and turned it into a minimum viable business and it has continued to grow annually since then." https://files.fireside.fm/file/fireside-uploads/images/1/1ea879c1-a4a2-4e10-bea4-e5d8368a3c7a/K6C1VBdy.jpg Click on the image below to check out our extended conversation with Tom on our Youtube Channel (https://youtu.be/MwQn1UX0vk8)! https://files.fireside.fm/file/fireside-uploads/images/1/1ea879c1-a4a2-4e10-bea4-e5d8368a3c7a/NaYdoUhU.jpg (https://youtu.be/MwQn1UX0vk8) Want to learn more about GolfBalls.com customization capabilities? In this Omni Talk Ask An Expert Interview, Anne Mezzenga sits down with Yair Holtzer VP of Business Development at Trigo to talk about Artificial Intelligence Computer Vision (AICV). The AICV space is heating up with retailers across the globe piloting checkout-free retail stores of all sizes and in this interview, Anne gets Yair's expert opinion on how retailers can best approach scaling this technology. Trigo has learned this strategy first hand over the course of the last three years as one of the early AICV companies on the scene conducting live pilots with Tesco, and now Rewe Group out of Germany. Yair elegantly explains why Trigo chose to launch with their European partners, what they've learned as they increase store size and add unique item types like self-dispensing beverages, tobacco, and alcohol, and how it's prepared them as they start to take on the US market in the coming months. This week I had the opportunity to discuss the development of a long term athletic development model with Rick Franzblau. After a quick run down of how he got down to Clemson we discuss how longevity in one location has helped us each develop the thoughts and processes that we are trying to continue to build upon at our institutions. He then shares with us how the model that he’s working on at Clemson got started, includes what was the driving factor behind the evolutions to this model. He then shares with us a pretty in-depth breakdown of their progressions in their model, where there are some places where they individualize the program, and how different teams move at different paces. He also runs down the rabbit hole of technology, the pros and con’s of it, and the importance of the strength coach understanding what the metrics mean and how to impact them. Rick has developed an ever evolving but scaleable LTAD program, and gives some really great insight into each aspect of it that can really help each of us reflect a bit on what we are doing and possible ways to improve how we evaluate what we are doing. Welcome to another episode of Millionaire Secrets! Today I’m joined by Josh York - Speaker, Podcast Host, Author of the best-selling book “Fuel Your Drive” and, last but not least, the founder, CEO, and brains behind the world’s FIRST EVER mobile personal training company, GymGuyz! The company that brings workouts straight to your doorstep so that you don’t have to invest in expensive equipment or ever step foot in the gym. It sounds so good, even I want to sign up! So how did this idea come about? Josh started off like most entrepreneurs, with just a dream, which slowly died every Monday morning as he and 90% of the population drove to work committing spiritual suicide. AKA, he HATED his 9-5 life, and he wanted out, pronto. So, he quit. To finally pursue his passion as a personal trainer. But, you know how the story goes by now. After quickly becoming a successful 6-figure personal trainer, Josh came to realize that being “just a personal trainer” was not a scalable business opportunity. There are only so many hours in the day... Which means there are only so many clients you can train in a day… And unless you can cut yourself in half, or work yourself to the bone 24/7? You’re never going to make more than the working day permits in the fitness industry. ...Unless your Josh York! Because thanks to his new spin on the personal training industry, Josh now makes millions as a personal trainer and business owner. His business, GymGuyz, was recently featured on Inc. 500’s fastest-growing private companies, and he’s showing NO signs of slowing down! So, how did Josh redefine personal training? How did he start his very own SCALEABLE fitness empire? And more importantly, how can you follow in his footsteps? Listen as Josh tells you how!

It got me thinking and here we are! In my success story, I have been through a divorce and so many times I have thought to myself, is this too much to share or should I block this side of my life out? Often when I sit in meetings with ne3w clients I have a quick thought of; "I am the professional, I shouldn't share my personal divorce story with this client," yet, the second I wipe that idea and share my vulnerable story - the client then feels safer as they know I understand. What should you be sharing and what shouldn't you be sharing when it comes to your business? It is SUCH a powerful tool when it comes to powerful branding!Get closer with your clients and gain a relationship developed from trust and safety.Communicated stories can be the backbone of your ENTIRE marketing strategy. When you can convey a story of how you came out of the pain point, to overcoming the challenge in an amazing way - attracts your exact client far better than if you weren't to share your story.Clients what to connect through personal transformation and ensure that they are not alone in their situation. When you are scrolling through the internet and a post comes up for a potential service or product, what do you connect with? Do you connect with data or statistics? Or do you connect with personal stories and images that relate to them? If you can weave stories into your business, you 100% need to - however, this requires vulnerability! You may feel vulnerable and embarrassed about certain stories in your life, yet DO NOT let this hold you back because I can guarantee that you are not alone! Sometimes I feel embarrassed about being divorced twice or that I was a high school drop out, yet that has leaded to so many opportunities in the Family Law Firm and in my Coaching Business! People don't buy from businesses, people buy from people. Please let me know if you loved today's poddy and as you know, each week I choose a review and shout it out! Here is what he calls the capture, cultivate, convert, and close method:Capture: You capture your ideal listener/customers contact information and overcome any objections they might have to buy the product.Cultivate: You cultivate your customers through the right kind of content, from a cold to a warm, to a hot lead.Convert: This is where the selling happens automatically, from the core content that you have created.Close: The selling is complete at this point, so this is where you book a call with the customer.Learn more in Evans FREE training:https://www.dreamclientsforlife.com/patThe selling happens automatically from your content. I’m still in awe regarding the possibilities with this product. I used to think 25-50 listings a day would be good. However to think you could scale to 200 listings an hour blows me away. Imagine the possibilities this can bring to your world. If you are an Amazon seller and have been looking to get rid of returns/restricted products, etc.. then this might be the tool for you. Making your creative business profitable is a constant struggle for artists. Because our services are often something we've done for free, we feel guilty charging a lot of money. We get stuck in the loop of doing work at lower rates for friends and family and undervaluing the skills we bring to the table. To change how much money you make from your hobby, you have to change your mindset. You need to charge at least as much as the average price others are charging for similar services. You also need to make your business scalable. You can do this by utilizing your online platform and charging to teach others all over the world how to do what you do. To dive deeper into the idea of making your hobby a business, I've brought on Creative Entrepreneur, Podcast Host, and Career Coach Jennifer Allwood. Jennifer is a mom in Kansas City, Missouri who completely transitioned her decorative painting business The Magic Brush to the online space. To learn how to take your creative business global, download this episode now. THE FAITH WARRIOR “There's never been a better time in history to be an entrepreneur than today.” - Jennifer Allwood Highlights - Does your talk align with you playing small? Don't be the cheapest in your industry. When you're cheap, you attract that cheap mentality. You can't just build your social media following- you also have to figure out how to make money on your online platforms. You can sell how-to videos on your website. Multiple streams of income are important so that you're not susceptible to platforms changing their policies. Don't have your business based entirely on social media. Is your real estate business scaleable? Does it offer room for growth? If you’re too focused on conventional management, the answer is probably “no”. Entrepreneurs need to grow alongside their consumers to see sustainable success in a rapidly changing market. In this episode, I emphasize why real estate entrepreneurs need to develop systems carried out by employees in order to stay up-to-date with market changes. However, in spite of the entrepreneurial desire to facilitate those systems, the ability to eventually step away is also imperative for a successful business. 3 Things We Learned From This Episode A consumer-driven technology shift has made it crucial for the real estate industry to adapt. To scale your business, you need to make sure the people working for you are running systems you’ve put in place, without you needing to be there. Avoid spreading yourself too thin and “chasing squirrels”. Instead, place deeper emphasis on specific elements of your business. It can be difficult for entrepreneurs to let others manage their business. Given the sacrifices and leaps of faith required for entrepreneurship, this is understandable. However, forming a team that can operate independently allows you to take your business to the next level. The trust you should put into your team is the opposite of a traditional top-down approach, which can be daunting. However, as long as consumer-led changes show no sign of slowing, this is exactly what entrepreneurs must embrace in order to attain a success worth living for.

REFERRALS, REFERRALS, REFERRALS, REFERRALS, REFERRALS, FREAKING REFERALS. We all love referrals, but here’s the deal… They are not SCALEABLE. But its nice when you get them. Do you want to know a way to get more referrals? WHAT you say? Jason is talking about generating more referrals. I know it’s crazy, but it's the icing on the cake. #1 The best way to get more referrals is to make it easy for people to understand what you do and why you are different. #2 To deliver amazing service and results where they tell others. But they also need to understand what you did for them and the results so communication is key. #3 Ask for the referral. Once they are happy, tell them that you loved working with them and would love to work with more people just like them. Ask them who you would be a good fit for who they know. Todd asked… "Do you have experience with paying out referral fees? If you do, could you please answer the following questions: - What is the standard referral fee? - Does it vary from region to region (we are in the midwest)? - Is there a difference in rates for projects vs ongoing work, and if so is the referral fee paid for a year's worth of work or the life of the contract?" Would love to know what your referral commission is, and how are generating referrals so comment below. Also please share and subscribe if you are not already. Remember, Just don't watch, take action and pick one takeaway you learned today and you will grow your agency. Thanks for tuning in and Have a Swenk Day.
