Mental Obsession Discussion

Contact Welcomed HereIt is not negative to share thoughts. Negating freely chosen thoughts creates the impression we are not free as long as mentality is thought of as reality.  Ego's modern definition is a false self.  What is false has no basis in reality.  To think that it does lines up with the common idea that ego is an overtly grandiose entity that acts on us in unexpected ways.  This modern formalization of ego as real, suggests that illusions and fantasy are reality - while they are mental imagery.  Thinking about thinking itself does not create our self - it creates more and more obsessive thoughts about who we think we are, what we think of life, and how we think of reality and truth.  To imagine we are the creators of reality is to think all we are is what we think.  Low "self-esteem" is not an accident or coincidence it is a consequence of imagining insanity is reality.  Now, now.  We Know We Know. We Are Aware We Are Aware. We Are as We Are. Reality is unlimited and never changes. The idea that how and what we think creates reality suggests otherwise. Acting on backward thoughts leads to behaviors that are out of order. Anxious and systemic disorders reflect this impossible attempt to reverse the Laws of the universe that govern nature's order. Disease is the lack of ease created and maintained by such twisted mental acrobatics. Principles affirm our indivisible nature. Sharing principles affirms and confirms our indivisibility. We can choose desperation or Inspiration. Absolute Intelligence is our Knowing nature. Ignoring what is happening produces unintelligible ignorance - not reality.contact@mentalobsession.com

Negating Visions: Cultural Memory and Media Negatives with Stefka Hristova

The positive image cannot exist without the negative, and the relationship between the two reveals the fundamental nature of the image as fungible, media as a process, and truth value as a matter of interpretation. Scholarship and conservation therefore have a profound responsibility to collect, preserve, and interpret media negatives for what they reveal about the relationship between positive images and the truth. In her latest project, Dr. Stefka Hristova, associate professor at Michigan Technological University, theorizes the relationship between media negatives, their positive counterparts, and the truth value accessible through a careful study of both. Using the collections held in the Hagley Library, Hristova demonstrates that a photographic image cannot be understood without reference to its negative. Likewise, and with profound implications for our present moment, the images and other media generated algorithmically cannot be properly judged or interpreted without an understanding of their negatives, the data used as the means of generating the final image. In support of her work, Dr. Hristova received funding from the Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society at the Hagley Museum and Library. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the linchpin of Christian faith, and today Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar explore its impact on the entire belief system of Christianity. It goes beyond theological doctrine, infusing Christianity with purpose, hope, and eternal consequences. Devoid of the resurrection, the narrative unravels, and faith is reduced to mere wishful thinking. This event is not merely a demonstration of divine power; it symbolizes triumph over death and signifies approval of a redemptive work unparalleled in scope. Through the resurrection of Christ, Christianity stands apart from man-made religions, asserting itself as a divine revelation rather than a human invention.Negating the claims of some that the resurrection was purely spiritual, biblical accounts emphasize the tangible nature of Jesus' post-resurrection interactions. He eats, allows touch, and stands among disciples, challenging interpretations which favor a solely spiritual appearance. Jesus raised Himself from the dead, and the guys discuss how this underscores His divine identity. This self-resurrection distinguishes Him from other biblical instances, portraying Him as the architect of this pivotal event, asserting divine authority over death.Witnessing the miraculous, as seen in the resurrection, doesn't guarantee faith. The guys consider how some people saw Jesus after His resurrection, yet they didn't follow Him. This paradox emphasizes the transformative power of the gospel, surpassing intellectual acknowledgment for a profound internal change.Critics draw parallels between Christian narratives and elements in other religions, but shared themes don't diminish the unique truth of the Christian gospel. They echo universal spiritual truths across cultures and histories. The guys point out that critics also claim Jesus' body was stolen; however, Jesus' public post-resurrection appearances challenge this idea. Disciples' willingness to face persecution and death attests to the sincerity of their convictions. While salvation is a spiritual work, historical evidence substantiates Christianity's foundations. The resurrection defies dismissal as a cleverly devised tale, unfolding in real time and leaving an indelible mark on human history. Jesus is an active, victorious heavenly king. This offers hope to believers facing suffering and promises a future resurrection with glorified bodies, cementing the resurrection's enduring impact. Thanks for listening! On your journey to giving yourself as many chances as you need to get it right: Start by letting go of the past. We spend way too much time staying stuck in the past and it paralyzes us. Prevents us from moving forward. The past failures or the things that didn't go our way or work out for us in the past still affords us an opportunity to grow. Figure out what you do want. Piggybacking on the last one, sometimes you spend way too much time in the past that you fail to take that as an opportunity to figure out what you do want. Decide what's meaningful to you. What feeds your soul. What brings you joy. What you're passionate about. What makes you feel like you are walking in your purpose. If you don't take the time to figure out what you want, you will be like the hamster on the hamster wheel – just going in circles. Forget about what other people are going to thin Keep doing what feels right to you. Don't worry about what other people may think. They do what's best for them and you must do what's best for you. Focus on doing and not just thinking about doing. You don't want to suffer from paralysis by analysis, meaning you end up not doing anything because you spent all of your time thinking about doing. Employ positive thinking. Negating thinking creates negative results. The mind must believe it can do something before it is capable of actually doing it. Create a daily routine. Routines are more effective at producing better results. Routines also reduce overthinking and offer a sense of control. Don't quit just because you didn't get it right the first time or the second time, give yourself as many chances as you need to get it right. I'm Nicole L. Turner, your mindset coach helping you shift the way you think, so you can change the way you live. If you are in need of a mindset coach, you can reach out to me at detoxforyourlife.com.

In this brief episode, Dr. Shaw discusses her philosophy that one of the most important aspects of life is how we show up.  What she encourages is that when negativity is in the air, we should surrender to how it is, not take anything too seriously and remember that the moment will pass.  Negating the feelings instead of surrendering to them is being less true.   Learning to not take a negative moment personally is a winning formula, and teaching ourselves and our children the best strategies for dealing with having a bad day get us past it.   Allowing ourselves to feel our feelings is essential, but creating negative behavior as a response to negativity is not the best way to show up.

Metaphorically speaking, we can get into trouble when we only wear rosy colored glasses through which to view reality and we can get in trouble when we only wear dark glasses through which to view reality. And today, we are going to talk about one dysfunctional behavior that is rampant within human society and that occurs when we slip into a bias towards the positive polarity inherent within reality… Negating negatives with positives, which is a form of toxic positivity.

In Episode 111 of The Business Habitat podcast, Sam is joined by Christian van den Bosch, Organisational Leadership Coach and Change and Efficiency Advisor, to talk about the need for sustainable learning in the work environment and the difference between a service mentality and a peer mindset. In this compelling conversation, Christian relates his background as an officer in both the Netherlands and Australian Armies, comparing the two and noting how the Netherlands Army was run similar to a commercial operation, particularly in its approach to people, organisation, productivity and performance. In contrast the Australian Army is much more bureaucratic in nature with less emphasis on career development pathways. It was in witnessing these two different styles of organisations and having led soldiers and officers in the field, that Christian identified what he terms ‘sustainable learning', the concept of ongoing learning, both from a personal perspective and also an organisational one.Christian left the military in 2016 having achieved his goals and moved into the corporate world, where his military background has informed his beliefs around leadership and productivity. In this conversation, Christian shares what he has learned around building strong client relationships through creating parity, and gives practical examples of how he utilises a peer mindset to better engage with his clients.Negating the popular concept that a leaders' role is to serve their people, Christian puts forward his view that leaders are not servers, which talks to a submissive approach. Rather he notes that they are responsible for the learning of their people and working with their people to generate a healthy culture within the workforce.Sam and Christian round out the conversation by discussing how the workforce has changed in recent years and why the concept of sustainable learning is a critical one. In this era of staff shortages and retention issues, Christian emphasises the next generations' desire to learn and grow, and work in a way which promotes balance and avoids burnout. Here at BlueprintHQ, we are here to help. An interview with Natasha Brown, winner of the London Writers Award, and author of Assembly (Little Brown, 2021), the story of a young black British woman, marked by success in education and work, who asks a fundamental question: does my country care whether or I live or die? At a mere one hundred and two pages, Assembly manages to evoke more feeling, more sensorial reality than many novels twice its length. Natasha has gone to the novel's primary function—its vision into the inner life of a character—and she has brought it to bear on the precariousness of black life. The result is a work of literary fiction that is profoundly beautiful, with passages of poetic form and lyrical description of a world that her narrator experiences as ultimately negating. Negating of her agency, her accumulated wealth and status, her education, her citizenship, and ultimately of her bare life. Suffused with its contemporary moment, with references to the police killing of Philando Castille and the white nationalist resurgence in Britain, Assembly is fundamentally a reminder that the sun has yet to set on the imperial mindset, and that the black body and the black intellect still do not register within that logic. Natasha Recommends: Meena Kandasamy, Exquisite Cadavers Rachel Long, My Darling from the Lions Hannah Sullivan, Three Poems Roland Barthes, Mythologies bell hooks, “Postmodern Blackness” Chris Holmes is Chair of Literatures in English and Associate Professor at Ithaca College. Episode 013 is all about the other dark side of trauma. What happens when trauma becomes our trip up? Hannah talks about the responsibility we hold in our healing journey after we have faced trauma. Negating this responsibility puts us at risk of idolizing our trauma and perpetually dwelling in it and tripping over it. Just one touch from Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood. It was her faith despite her past that made her whole. This same healing is available to us, should we reach for it. It won't be easy, but with God, ALL things are possible. It is God's grace in the wilderness that will carry us. Don't miss out on part 1 of this 2-part series! In this episode: The lies of trauma The enemy's lies that trap us in trauma God's truth that crushes those lies Identifying how we graduate from the pain to perpetually abiding in the pit of trauma, and hence, that trauma becoming our trip up. The dangers of paralysis by analysis Becoming toxic and blame shifting And more! Quotes: “Life does not end and life does not have to end because of trauma.” “Just one touch. One word. From God almighty will heal. One touch will erase the past. There is grace in the wilderness.” “Trauma becomes our trip up when and only when it becomes an IDOL.” “We overcome the ramifications of trauma because of the grace of God.” References Mentioned: Episode 011 (December 2021) Related Blog Post: When Trauma becomes your Trip Up Scriptures: Matthew 19:26 Mark 5:24-34 Psalm 27:14 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 Isaiah 61:3 Psalm 103:14 Psalm 30:5 Connect with me!
