Cory Phillips and Craig Sandlin discuss the Cincinnati Reds edging the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 at PNC Park, snapping a three-game losing streak. Nick Martinez delivered seven strong innings for the Reds, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four. Noelvi Marte was the offensive star, doubling three times, driving in one run, and scoring another. His first double in the fourth inning tied the game at 1-1 by driving in Spencer Steer, and his seventh-inning double led to the go-ahead run on TJ Friedl's sacrifice fly. Emilio Pagán secured his 25th save, navigating a leadoff walk in the ninth with a game-ending double play assisted by Elly De La Cruz. The Pirates scored first in the third via Jared Triolo's double and Tommy Pham's sacrifice fly, but their offense managed only four hits, with Spencer Horwitz contributing two. Carmen Mlodzinski took the loss for Pittsburgh in a bullpen game. The Reds moved to 61-57, staying in the NL wild card race, while the Pirates fell to 51-67.
