Today, I'm doing something NEW on the podcast. I don't think I've ever shared an interview from another person's podcast with you, but this episode from Mara Kucirek's podcast (Create a Better Course) was so good that I knew I wanted to share it with you today. If you want to see the nitty-gritty behind the scenes of launching an online course, this is one episode you do not want to miss.If you haven't yet, make sure to also listen to episode 261 where I interviewed Mara about all the things “online courses”, from creating them to selling them well. This interview was especially fun because Mara is a STUDENT of Booked Out Designer (and Podcast Success Blueprint which wasn't done at the time of this recording). She asked really good questions because NOT ONLY is she brilliant and so strategic when it comes to online courses, but she also has that insider student perspective. Here's just a glimpse of what we talked about:How to get your course off your to-do list and into the worldHow to beta launch your courseLive launching vs. Evergreen models I've also just shared a lot of behind-the-scenes on how (and why) I've made some of the decisions that have led me to make multi-six figures off of my online course (and enrolled 200+ students without running ads).Links Mentioned:Read the full show notes: https://elizabethmccravy.com/264Tune into Episode #261 when I interview Mara all about online course trends: https://elizabethmccravy.com/261 Listen to Mara's Podcast Create a Better Course: https://marakucirek.com/podcast Shop our Showit Website Templates (use code BBPODCAST for 10% off!): https://elizabethmccravy.com/shop Join me inside Booked Out Designer: https://elizabethmccravy.com/bod Sign up for the Podcast Success Blueprint: https://elizabethmccravy.com/psb Want the insider scoop? The most effective healing I've found so far Immediate Intervention Connection. Speak with someone…ANYONE about what's going on, how you are feeling. Preferably, someone who is trained at listening. Call a crisis line in your area, or call a friend and say the words, “I need you to talk to you, and I need you to listen”. If you do this, put in the caveat…. ”Please just let me vent, and don't offer solutions unless I ask…ok?” Connect with yourself. Get outside, sit on the ground, and breathe deeply for 2 minutes. If you are having an anxiety attack, find 3 blue things, 3 red things, 3 yellow things in your environment and name them. Then 3 big things, 3 small things, 3 pretty things. This is a grounding exercise. Also, look at any object, (I prefer horizons) and trace the outline…slowly from right to left, or counter-clockwise if it's round. Continue..slowly, and focus as much as you can. Name 10 things you are grateful for…then name 10 more. Let me guess, you are a health and wellness provider and the place you really want to practice doesn't exist yet. You know better patient outcomes require a whole person multidisciplinary approach that you can't provide on your own. But thinking about starting or expanding into something new feels daunting. You've dreamed up your vision that you just cannot get out of your head because you know how much your community needs this type of care and how impactful it will be. Hi, I'm Kendall Hagensen. And over the past several years, I've created and led a truly holistic, collaborative and multidisciplinary healthcare center in Vancouver, Washington, United States. When I started my business, I was very aware that I didn't know much about the business side of things, but as a therapist, I knew a lot about people, how to build relationships with them, how to find ones that were smarter than me in certain areas, and how to build a positive community. Today, the center is thriving, and we're building a second location. It is my absolute passion to work with health and wellness providers every day, providing business coaching specific to creating multidisciplinary practices and wellness centers of all kinds. My favorite part is when it clicks. And my clients embody the felt sense that creating a wellness center doesn't have to feel like starting over and that they actually don't have to reinvent the wheel. Your value and meaning in your life is not determined by the things you do, the money you make, what others think of you or by the things others have taught you to think about yourself. Full stop. The value and meaning you feel in your life is created by your ability to create and return back to YOUR wholeness. To honor your truest way of being without shame, fear, doubt, guilt. In this episode Rachel is sharing three ways that you can begin to return to your own wholeness and allow yourself to feel value and meaning in every part of your life and business. I was meeting with a client recently and she said this. *"Rachel, I feel like the barrier that is holding me back from being fullymyself and feeling good about my life and happy about my life. And like I can be myself. Is that I feel fundamentally flawed. She went on to say, I cannot recognize that I have much meaning or value. That I mean something to people beyond the superficial things that I do for them."*If you've ever felt this way, or if you've been longing or saying toyourself, hey, listen, part of me is missing, and I want to find that part of me, then this episode of The Road to Radical Visibility is for you.If you have felt like you are caught up in a cycle of just doing and wonder what or whose life you are living anyway. Where did my meaning, joy, confidence or value go? Then this episode is for you. We have been taught and even trained to believe that what we do and accomplish in this world makes us worthy of __________ (you can fill in the blank). Throughout my whole life I tried to live up to the expectations of others. To do the thing, be the way that I was told was right, appropriate, better, more "lady like". This started the cycle of me cutting off, shoving down and attempting to eliminate parts of me that were "less valuable" to our society and the systems that exist within it. I looked outside of myself for answers. Another course, strategy, funnel, business group or product could not do the healing. To heal I needed to deep dive into my own self and return back to wholeness. That way of being where the inside was my strongest compass. Where I could be myself and know exactly what was right for me at any given moment and time. The feeling of safety I had always wanted. If that type safety is what you are looking for reach out to me. There is no need to continue to live a life that is less fulfilling than you want it to be.Wanting to find out more on creating Radical Visibility so that you can create the impact you know you are meant to create?Join my FB Group: Radical Visibility and Authentic Video MasteryLink: https://www.facebook.com/groups/radicalvisiblityauthenticvideomasteryWant more inspiration and empowerment connect with me on social:TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@rachelfreemonsowersInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/rachelfreemonsowers/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rachelfreemonsowers/?ref=settingsLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rachel-freemon-sowers-184693156/Website: www.rachelfreemonsowers.comYouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl264v_gjUeRZwLJYDN3Niw#FemaleEntrepreneur #WomenEmpowerment #RachelFreemonSowers

Becoming Better by Shifting Your Mindset and Taking Control of Your Life with Bricia Lopez Growing up, our parents tell us what to do and what not to do. Thus, even as we grow into our unique selves, we still feel restricted in doing and pursuing what we want. We base our decisions as adults on the things we learned and heard growing up. But becoming better does not happen this way. You should shift your mindset and start taking control of your life. That's when freedom, contentment, and fulfillment come in. In this episode, Bricia Lopez talks about the most valuable lessons she learned from motherhood and running a family business. She shares the experience of being pregnant and giving birth during the pandemic, along with navigating the new normal as an entrepreneur. Bricia also lets us take a peek at what it's like working with her family in their business. She discusses how understanding you're in control is crucial in decision-making and becoming better as a person. If you're stuck in a mindset that keeps you from moving forward, then this episode is for you! Here are three reasons why you should listen to the full episode: Discover how motherhood pushed Bricia to become a better person. Find out what generational wealth is and what it does for families. Learn how resilience pushes you to move forward no matter the adversities. Resources Connect with Bricia: Instagram | Twitter | LinkedIn | Facebook. Episode Highlights How Bricia Handled the Pandemic She was 20 weeks pregnant in March last year and gave birth in July. The experience of carrying her baby through the pandemic was grounding for Bricia. The pandemic put things into perspective. At the end of the day, it's all about taking care of her children. Because she was high-risk, she had to stay home and let her team manage her restaurant. Becoming Better for Her Children For Bricia, giving birth to a girl was a completely different experience from giving birth to a boy. After she gave birth to her baby girl, felt the urge of becoming better. She took care of her body during the first few weeks after her pregnancy and dropped her bad habits. Bricia admits that she did not take care of her body after giving birth to her firstborn. This time around, becoming better at this aspect of motherhood was her priority. Being pregnant during the pandemic made it easier for Bricia to slow down. Navigating the New Normal Bricia is now back to the grind 100%. She has someone who helps take care of her daughter. Despite being busy again, she feels at peace because she loves what she does. She doesn't feel guilty leaving her daughter behind because she got to spend so much time with her one-on-one. With the economy opening up, it feels like the roaring 20s again for businesses. Guelaguetza Restaurant Their website is now called ilovemole.com. It's easier to remember than the previous guelaguetza.com. The restaurant is in Koreatown in Los Angeles. They specialize in Oaxacan cooking. Building Generational Wealth Bricia loves working with her family. She runs the family business with her brother and sister. They're building something that will last for the next generation. They are also becoming better at handling their finances than their parents. For Bricia, generational wealth allows you to be in control of your time. As a result, you can be more creative. You are also more at peace and present. By building generational wealth, she is allowing her children to explore what they want without having to worry about money. Mental Graduation We are continuously graduate mentally to another state of mind. We go through mental high school and mental college. Then, we get to the place where we open doors to new dimensions of financial knowledge. Becoming better means you have to keep learning. It's important to remember that age doesn't define your capacity to learn new things. Taking Chances Bricia didn't realize how big of a hold her parents had on her life until they retired. She always wanted to be a graphic designer, but her father was against it. Bricia wished she didn't listen and just went for it. She realized she could do anything when her parents retired and moved away. She and her siblings bought the restaurant from their parents and took over. Making a decision and following through it is the hardest skill to learn and lean on. No one has control of your life but you. Understanding this will make you realize that you can do anything you want. How Resilience Impacted Bricia's Decision-Making Adversities will always happen in life and business; it's the way the world works. You can decide to stop and backtrack, or you can stop, learn, and move forward. Once you understand why something happened, you'll realize it's not that big of a deal and develop a new perspective. Opportunities come when you're not scared. You keep becoming better as you face and deal with issues and adversities. Becoming better at self-compassion is one of the hardest things to learn in life. Yet, it's one of the most useful tools you can have. The Most Important Value Bricia Wants Her Children to Have For Bricia, it's confidence. If you're innately confident, you can make anything happen no matter what the world tells you. Innate confidence is different from given confidence or fake confidence that makes a person delusional. Instead of giving her son fake confidence, she builds his self-esteem by letting him fail, explore, and do things for himself. How Bricia Feels Radically Love Working in the hospitality industry, her life revolves around serving people. And so, Bricia feels radically loved when people listen to her and give their time, compassion, and energy without taking. 5 Powerful Quotes from This Episode [06:14] “I just need to become a better woman. I need to become even a better version of me for [my daughter].” [15:16] “Generational wealth means having more control of your time, without the stress of other things.” [18:51] “No one's too old to learn anything.” [22:37] “Getting used to the fact that making a decision and following through that decision is probably the hardest skill to learn and lean on.” [29:27] “[Confidence is] something that you have to innately understand. They have to fail and then learn that they can do it themselves.” About Bricia Bricia Lopez is a restaurant owner, entrepreneur, and best-selling author. She is the co-owner of an Oaxacan restaurant, Guelaguetza. Additionally, Bricia is a co-founder of Mole and More, together with her siblings. They sell proprietary cocktail mix, I Love Micheladas, and mole paste. Beyond this, Bricia is also the co-founder and co-host of the Super Mamás Podcast. As one of the foremost proponents of Oaxacan culture and cuisine in the United States, Bricia is the author of the best-selling cookbook, Oaxaca. People should consider creating their own style of physical therapy. A lot of people may have some small aches and pains that they keep ignoring over the years. Instead of ignoring them, people should consider figuring out a way where they can get rid of the pain. They also could create their own therapy to make themselves stronger and if needed more flexible. It may take time to get the results they desire but people need to understand the one thing in their life missing is creating a healthier body.

Allison Venditti is the Founder and Owner of Careerlove. She is a Career Coach & Return to Work expert with over a decade of experience in human resources. Her focus is on supporting women and mothers. Allison's business is founded on the idea of kindness and support where she offers no nonsense advice to both companies and women. She is the mom to 3 boys and creator of Canada's first program to support mothers returning to work from maternity leave called “Ready to Return”. In this episode: Supporting moms in returning to work after maternity leave with meaningful resources, conversations, and planning is a game changer! Propose a job share or flexible work trial period if you are looking to try a shift in the way that you work and get the plan clearly laid out in writing. It's okay to not be okay. As moms, we can be incredibly hard on ourselves and feel like we have to hold it together all the time for everyone else. Connect with Allison: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/careerlove.ca/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/careerlove.ca Facebook Group - "Moms at Work": https://www.facebook.com/groups/MomsAtWork1 Website: https://careerlove.ca On this episode of The Part-Time Jungle Podcast, I had a great conversation with Allison of Careerlove! We talked about supporting moms in returning to work after maternity leave, proposing a job share or flexible work trial period, how it's okay to not be okay and a whole lot more! I really enjoyed my conversation with Allison. The tagline for her business is “Do what you love. Love what you do.” It is so evident that Allison is passionate about supporting the people that she coaches and works with to achieve this. RETURN TO WORK Allison's children are eight, six, and two years old. Her professional background, even before having kids, involved creating return to work programs mostly around workers compensation and disability. She found it shocking that when she went off on maternity leave, they just gave her the paperwork. They told her to call them when she thought she would be coming back. The last five months of her maternity leave left her worrying about whether or not she should call or if were they going to call. She was trying to find daycare and get all the ‘things' organized to head back to work. RECOGNIZING A GAP After her second maternity leave, Allison approached her boss to address why there weren't any return to work programs for women on maternity leave? After all, their company's business was all about getting paid to create these programs. He responded that there wasn't any money in that. A TOUGH TRANSITION Allison's oldest child has multiple anaphylactic food allergies. Returning to work after her first maternity leave and sending him to daycare was horrifying for Allison. She would drop him off at daycare, get on the bus with her coffee, and cry. This same thing went on for a couple of days. Finally one morning, she got on the bus and the bus driver had tissue ready. He told her that he had no idea what was going on but that it was going to be okay. Through tears she said that she was going back to work. The bus driver told Allison that he had three kids, that it would be fine, and that it takes a little while to build up. Allison said that you know that you are having a really tough time when the bus driver is noticing how hard things are for you. We can't sugarcoat it. You just birthed a being and then being with them was all you have known for months on end. It is a big transition. A LACK OF CONVERSATION Allison felt like no one wanted to talk about this transition with her. Some of her friends didn't go back to work after maternity leave. They didn't want to talk about it. Some of her friends went back to work early and they didn't want to talk about it. She didn't even really know what questions to ask and she is a return to work expert. This was her job and she still didn't know. There was no clarity on all the what was ahead even ...

Welcome to Episode 36 of Intuitive Queens podcast from your Intuition Queen. My name is Mara and I have created this podcast to inspire you with the stories of my guests and how they overcame fears, limiting beliefs, tragedies and obstacles and managed to find their purpose following their intuition. My hope is that you will resonate with one or all of them and their story will get you to take-action to change your life, and finally go after your dreams. In this episode I am Interviewing Leticia Ringe, a holistic business coach and host of: Create a life that is beautiful Podcast. Leticia tells us how the need to make a different and have a meaningful career and at the time she was looking at top rated ones and she ended up becoming a lawyer despite the signs along the way. The realisation that that was only to fulfil her need to validate her worth, came after. One day while running, she felt an excruciating pain and from that moment she went on a journey to discover the causes of a probable endometriosis, which led Leticia to learn natural way of healing and understand that the corporate world was not supporting her body. This also took Leticia to learn to connect to herself and her menstrual cycle, something that allowed her to connect to her intuition and became a great passion for her, to the point that she now teaches her clients how to work with the menstrual or moon cycle. In this episode we talk a lot about how our body speaks to us and how important it is to learn to connect and listen to ourselves in order to find the right path and make decisions that light us up. We talk about how the majority of women has some sort of hormonal imbalance or pain and how this is associated to the fact that to fit into an old scheme of what women should be or doing, we repress our creativity to fit in and that’s when our body reacts, trying to tell us something. Leticia’s story moves from Sydney to London where, she changes slightly career while she tries to figure out what exactly she wanted to do. Thanks also to a supportive partner that challenges to think without fear. When she finally leaves her corporate job, Leticia goes travelling first and once back she follows her curiosity and starts doing things and get interested only things that make feel good. That’s how she became a business and coach then a holistic business coach and how she decided to use the menstrual cycle as a tool to help women navigate their career better, just connecting to their natural phases. Leticia explains the importance of connecting with the menstrual or moon cycle, to work on mindset and energy in order to always be in the flow and be able to express your creativity freely, that you are an entrepreneur or an employee.
