Check out the new episode with special guests Brohemoth, Scarlett & Zeke Mercer…right now, wherever you get your podcasts. (STINGER: WWE) Who's staying…and who's leaving NXT? The answers are not 100% clear following last night's episode, but here's what we do know. Johnny Gargano was in the midst of what sounded like an emotional farewell at the end of the show, but he was interrupted by an attack from Grayson Waller…who powerbombed Gargano through the announce table. The show opened with Von Wagner beating Kyle O'Reilly inside a steel cage, and battering O'Reilly with the cage door after the match. Pics have surfaced from after last night's show went off the air, showing Gargano, O'Reilly and Tomasso Ciampa embracing. Shawn Michaels was also giving out hugs. This LOOKED like a farewell for both Gargano and O'Reilly. Time will tell. MSK's shaman was revealed last night. It's Riddle! He gave them some words of advice and promised not to leave. Santos Escobar beat Xyon Quinn. Elektra Lopez slipped Quinn a pair of brass knuckles, but he never used them and Escobar won anyway. Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs beat the Creed Brothers…despite the Grizzled Young Veterans STEALING the tag rope from Jensen & Briggs' corner. The ref decided this meant Jensen couldn't tag in Briggs…but Jensen still managed to roll up one of the Creeds and get the pin. Dexter Lumis beat North American Champion Carmelo Hayes via disqualification. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's Dynamite has the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale. The last two men in the ring will meet next week for the Dynamite Diamond Ring, which MJF has won twice. Also tonight…Bryan Danielson vs. John Silver…Jamie Hayter vs. Riho…and the Young Bucks vs. Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero. On last night's Dark… Emi Sakura beat Ryo Mizunami…after Mei Suruga attacked Mizunami behind the referee's back. There was post-match attack but Riho came to Mizunami's rescue. Also, Lee Moriarty beat Misterioso. Tony Khan told Barstool Sports the Christmas week episode of Rampage will air NOT on Christmas Eve, which is a Friday…but on Saturday - Christmas Day itself. (STINGER: ROH) A new title match is now added Ring Of Honor's Final Battle pay-per-view on Saturday. Dalton Castle will defend the ROH TV Title in a 4-Way…against Rhett Titus, Silas Young and Joe Hendry. Tonight's MLW Fusion Alpha has a Philadelphia Street Fight for the MLW Tag Titles - Los Parks defending against 5150. Also, the MLW debut of nZo. He'll face Matt Cross. Major League Wrestling's new MLW Azteca series will premiere on its YouTube channel on Thursday, January 6th. Dirty Dango - formerly known as Fandango in WWE - was on last night's NWA Powerrr…standing alongside JTG. Also on the show, Nick Aldis & Doug Williams - The British Invasion reunited…and they beat Luke & PJ Hawx. Colby Corino and The Fixers beat Victor Benjamin and The OGK. Corino pinned Benjamin. And Jennacide beat Paola Blaze… (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan's Best Of The Super Juniors tournament resumes Wednesday. Meanwhile, four teams are tied for the top spot in the World Tag League…with just two nights of matches left in that tournament. Two of those teams tied at 14 points a apiece will meet on Thursday, when Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI face Great-O-Khan & Aaron Henare. Tetsuya Naito & SANADA are also at 14 points. They beat the Guerrillas of Destiny on Tuesday, eliminating the G.O.D from contention. Naito & SANADA go up against Tiger Mask & Yuji Nagata on Thursday. The fourth team sitting at 14 points is the IWGP Tag Champs Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. They face Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma on Thursday. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, December 8th. Check out the new episode right now...wherever you get your podcasts. (STINGER: AEW) AEW begins the final drive toward the Full Gear pay per view on tonight's Dynamite. AEW Champion Kenny Omega and Hangman Page will meet for a contract signing ahead of their title match on Saturday night. Also tonight...Bryan Danielson vs. New Japan's Rocky Romero... FTR's Dax Harwood vs. Pac. AEW Women's Champ Dr. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter & Rebel vs. Tay Conti, Anna Jay & Thunder Rosa... And Lio Rush & Dante Martin vs. Matt Sydal & Lee Moriarty. Martin pinned Frankie Kazarian on last night's Dark...thanks to a timely bit of outside interference by Rush. Also on last night's Dark, Sydal & Moriarty beat 2point0. The Gunn Club beat Dark Order's Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & Colt Cabana. Austin Gunn surprised Uno with a rollup - and grabbed the top rope - to steal the pin. Austin Gunn still has a perfect record in AEW. Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs beat Dark Order's Alan 5” Angels & 10. Angels took the pin. Thunder Rosa, Kris Statlander and Ryo Mizunami beat Emi Sakura, Jamie Hayter and Rebel. Rosa pinned Rebel. Plus, Too Fast Too Fuego beat Nick Comoroto & Aaron Solo, who took the pin. (STINGER: WWE) On last night's NXT… Pete Dunne pinned the North American Champion Carmelo Hayes in a non-title match. The end saw Johnny Gargano reach up from under the ring and grab Hayes' foot. That distraction set up Hayes for the Bitter End. Toxic Attraction beat Io Shirai, Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter. Gigi Dolin pinned Carter. Shirai's former tag team partner, Zoey Stark, confirmed on Tuesday that she suffered a major knee injury...and is now recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL and meniscus. Getting back to last night… Joe Gacy got a win over Boa via disqualification. This was what you'd expect until the lights in the arena started flashing. This apparently affected Boa because he grabbed Gacy with a choke hold and wouldn't let go, leading to the DQ. Kay Lee Ray pinned Sarray. Solo Sikoa pinned LA Knight to win a 3-Way that also included Grayson Waller. The Creed Brothers beat Kushida & Ikemen Jiro. Xyon Quinn turned down an invitation from Elektra Lopez to join Legado Del Fantasma. NXT's War Games pay per view is now set for Sunday, December 5th. Makeup and special effects artist Jason Baker told the news outlet Metro in the United Kingdom that he and Windham Rotunda - the former Bray Wyatt in WWE - are “starting a film at the end of the month.” (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan announced the teams for the upcoming World Tag League tournament. The current reigning IWGP tag champs, Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr., are in. A supreme victor has been crowned in the 2021 New Japan Cup! Daniel and Bonesaw review Round 3, and the Quarter- and Semi-Finals before talking about the thrilling Final between Shingo Takagi and Will Ospreay! Also, a very brief and impromptu edition of... Taiji Ishimori's Fashion Corner!?
EDIT: Audio issue from previous version has been repaired and the episode is now presented in its entirety. Daniel and Bonesaw watch their brackets become even MORE wrong as they discuss Round 2 of the New Japan Cup! Daniel declares the match of the tournament is Will Ospreay v Zack Sabre Jr., and the boys get distracted talking about Attack on Titan.
Time to get caught up with New Japan. The New Japan Cup has started and the faith of the double championship is set. No mistakes this time! Daniel's unbridled paranoia that he might screw up two shows in a row means an exciting (and COMPLETE) episode where he and Bonesaw give you the bracketology you so craved this week, AND how woefully wrong their brackets already are. Despite that, further predictions are cast based on first round winners that will also probably end up being wrong. THEN, as a bonus for screwing the pooch, they cover the events of AEW's Revolution, but unlike Revolution, they don't trip over the finish line.
Oh, what a wonderful show we HAD lined up for you. Daniel and Bonesaw were going to give you their bracket predictions for the New Japan Cup, but ol' Danny Fatfingers accidentally quit recording halfway through the conversation. So you get the events of the Anniversary show, but that's it. Hopefully, you'll be more satisfied with the new episode we're going to drop TOMORROW to make up for it. Sorry.
Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Sunday, March 7, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Saturday's New Japan Cup matches and the special episode of AEW Dark are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: AEW) A spectacle never before seen at an American pro wrestling event headlines AEW's Revolution pay per view. Kenny Omega defends the AEW Championship against Jon Moxley in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match. Omega shared the specifics on the rules Friday night. The ropes on three rides of the ring will be wrapped in barbed wire. Contact with the barbed wire triggers explosives on that side. There are also three areas on the floor wired to explode. Plus, a 30-minute countdown time until ALL of the explosives in and around the ring detonate. There will be at least two big reveals at Revolution. Tony Khan is promising a “huge” new signing to AEW will make his debut - a man described as a “Hall of Fame” level talent. The second big reveal will be the 6th participant in a ladder match for a shot at the TNT Championship held by Darby Allin. The other five men in the match are Cody Rhodes, Lance Archer, Scorpio Sky, Penta El Zero Miedo and Max Caster from The Acclaimed. This will be Sky's first match in six weeks. He's been sidelined with a torn meniscus. Penta just returned from his own injury. More on that in a bit. Sting will compete in his first match since an injury during a WWE Championship match appeared to end his in-ring career over five years ago. Sting teams with Darby Allin for a Street Fight against Brian Cage and Ricky Starks. The Young Bucks defend the AEW Tag Titles against Chris Jericho and MJF. AEW Women's Champion Hikaru Shida defends against Ryo Mizunami. Also, the BIg Money Match between Hangman Page and Matt Hardy...Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor vs. Miro and Kip Sabian...and the Casino Tag Team Royale. A special edition of AEW Dark Saturday night Penta El Zero Miedo returned to in-ring action in AEW with a win over Azriel. Big Swole also returned to AEW TV for the first time in months - and made it clear that she is coming after whoever is the Women's Champion after Revolution. (Big Swole Wants Title) There were a pair of post-match attacks. Miro and Kip Sabian laid out Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy...after Taylor had just beaten JD Drake. The Butcher and The Blade went after Bear Country. Both of those teams are in the Casino Tag Team Royale at Revolution. (STINGER: ROH) Joey Mercury is the latest to file a lawsuit against Ring Of Honor. WrestleZone was first to report this. Mercury alleges that ROH forced him to resign after he raised concerns about the safety of talent and the compensation they receive. He also claims his pay was not in line with the amount of work he was doing. This comes on the heels of a discrimination lawsuit filed against ROH last month by former women's champ Kelly Klein. (STINGER: New Japan) Two more first round matches in the New Japan Cup are happening this morning. Saturday's show saw the first major upset of the tournament. Shingo Takagi BEAT Kazuchika Okada. Also on that show, KENTA submitted Juice Robinson...and Minoru Suzuki beat Tomoaki Honma. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Sunday, March 7. Patterson was rehired a short time later. Tom Cole was 50 years old. He leaves behind a wife, three daughters...and other loved ones - including his brother who has been very vocal in his criticism of WWE. ... WWE quietly shared an update Thursday on ticket sales for WrestleMania. Don't get your wallets out just yet. WWE said it will announce ticket availability and safety protocols for the big show at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium in the coming weeks. WWE said it's coordinating with local partners and government officials regarding COVID-19 precautions. WWE also promising information on WrestleMania week events “is forthcoming”. Tonight's SmackDown is the final stop before Sunday's Elimination Chamber show. Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro will face Jey Uso, King Corbin and Sami Zayn. Those same six men will be in the SmackDown Chamber match on Sunday - with the winner getting a title shot against Universal Champ Roman Reigns later that same night. NXT UK results from Thursday: Joe Coffey defeated by Rampage Brown, who remains undefeated on NXT UK. The two shared a handshake of mutual respect after the match. Also, A-Kid successfully defended the Heritage Cup Championship against Sha Samuels. The date is set for the inevitable clash between NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray and Mieko Satomura. The title is on the line when those two meet in two weeks - on Thursday, March 4th. Kyle thanked “everyone for checking in”...and said their “love and support truly means the World.” (STINGER: ROH) A title match on this weekend's Ring Of Honor TV. Shane Taylor and the Soldiers of Savagery get their shot at the 6-man tag titles held by Bandido, Rey Horus and Flamita. NEXT weekend...Taylor gets his shot at Rush and the ROH World Championship. Getting back to this weekend's ROH TV - we'll also see The Briscoes vs. Dragon Lee and Kenny King...and Mike Bennett vs. Bateman. Results from Thursday's NXT UK are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: AEW) AEW making it official Thursday. STING will return to action - nearly 5 ½ years after an injury appeared to end his in-ring career. It'll go down at the Revolution pay per view on Saturday February 27 - a Street Fight: Sting and Darby Allin vs. Brain Cage and Ricky Starks. AEW also adding a couple new matches to next Wednesday's Dynamite: Chris Jericho and MJF vs. the Varsity Blondes....and Dr. Britt Baker vs. Shanna. (STINGER: Impact) AEW's Private Party will get their title shot against the Impact tag champs the Good Brothers at No Surrender. That's gonna be an Impact Plus exclusive event coming up on Saturday, February 13th. (STINGER: WWE) On tonight's SmackDown…Big E vs. Apollo Crews in a rematch for Big E's Intercontinental Title. The change we expected in the men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is happening. Ashante Adonis and Desmond Troy were battered by Karrion Kross on Wednesday's NXT. Now, those two are OUT of the Dusty Classic. They're being replaced by Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher - who battered one another in the FIGHT PIT on NXT - a match where Thatcher submitted Ciampa. It's fair to say that Ishii and Honma are two of the most unlikely wrestlers to ever become stars big enough to find themsevles headlining a New Japan event, contesting a vacant title. Neither were a home-grown talent, both started at the lowest point of the pecking order you can be whilst not being a Young Lion, and both have an unconventional wrestling style. Yet, it all came together in an alchemical blend to create a five-star match in the eyes of Dave Meltzer. Lorcan (@lorcanmullan) and Simon (@simoncross3) are here to try to unpack both everything that went into the match and everything within the match itself. lmtyspod@gmail.com

Tonight we come live at 6pm CST to talk all things pro wrestling. 1-347-857-1060 is the number to listen via mobile. Our first fall stacks up with a bit of news and rumors from the world of pro wrestling. We talk WWE reducing the tour in India down to one show and what that may mean for the company. Another release in the company has happened...oh well?? Cesaro's mouthguard. Yeah, another dumb reason he has it in. A positive though, Tomoaki Honma has been training for his return, maybe a New Years Dash return? Green Arrow wrestled in ROH, and did some crazy stuff. Austin Aries rants at a indy show and gets boo'd, what in the world was he talking about? We also sprinkle in a little of history as it's now been 20 years since the Montreal screwjob. We give our thoughts on the matter and kind of discuss that preverbial What If everything had gone according to plan. Lastly in the first fall, we do a quick take on the World Tag League. Night 1 only had two tournament matches, but the main event delivered. Discussion around. The second fall gets it's own spot, as we talk NXT Takeover. Once again, just like you wouldn't bet against Tom Brady, LeBron James, and Nick Sabin, don't bet against a NXT Takeover. We talk the results, injuries, fallout and everything inbetween. Ryan is still mad he has to wait until Wednesday to see Dunne vs Gargano though. We close the third fall going Inside the Universe to talk last weeks Raw and Smackdown shows, and also Survivor Series. Decent go home shows from the "E" but boy oh boy, does WWE have fun with their PPV's. Alex and Ryan haven't spoke since, so this should be interesting to get each perspective on the show. All this and more tonight, on WrestleCast Radio! This podcast is sponsored by Anchor

We start things off with the news in Quick Hits (10:15-46:45) by discussing WWE being interested in Shinsuke Nakamura and Jay Lethal, the Tomoaki Honma domestic violence situation, Dewey Foley joining WWE Creative, WWE adding lots of old territories to the WWE Network finally, the deal with Melina and Lucha Underground, and a lot more. We move on to answer our questions about WWE RAW (46:45-1:33:15,) after that we answer that WWE RAW Survey (1:33:15-1:46:50,) then we move on to discuss this week’s NXT (1:46:50-2:09:25) episode too. We finish things out by looking at the current standings in the NJPW World Tag League (2:09:25-2:14:00) and then look at this week’s ROH TV (2:14:00-2:24:16,) TNA Impact Wrestling (2:24:16-2:29:00) and the continuing World Title Series, and of course the W2M Power Rankings as well. (2:29:00-End)
Voices of Wrestling returns with a brand-new show looking at the details surrounding Tomoaki Honma's alleged domestic abuse, how New Japan Pro Wrestling should react and what's next for Honma if the allegations are true. We then discuss A.J. Styles' ailing back and what we've seen of the World Tag League. The conversation stays in Japan as we look at some of our favorite and least favorite things from NJPW in 2015, including listener feedback on likes/dislikes about NJPW this year. Last but not least, Joe and Rich geek out over the new content being added to the WWE Network and recap some of the classic wrestling they've watched so far including a tremendous sell job for the influx of 6:05 Saturday Night shows. Note: For those sensitive to the Honma domestic abuse details, please skip to 48:00. This week on W2M, we are joined by longtime wrestling fan (since 1984) Tom Reese for a majority of the show. On this episode, we discuss some of the inductees into the 2015 Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame. Who got in? Who was left out for another year? And should current wrestlers like Shinsuke Nakamura and Brock Lesnar be able to get into the HOF? We also have a NJPW Power Struggle 2015 Review and a look ahead to the NJPW World Tag League that is a mere few weeks away, along with all the stuff we usually cover. We did have a call-in pretty much at the beginning of the show and with him we discussed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament and some things we like on the WWE Network. We apologize, but that portion took up the first 20 minutes of the show (2:00-20:35 to be exact.) There was news that happened and that will be covered in Quick Hits (20:35-42:55,) with us discussing if a former wrestler is right or wrong about NXT being overrated, Is NXT overrated? find out what we think right here. There's also Michael Elgin resigning with ROH, WWE being interested in The Kingdom, Taryn Terrell continuing to say things about Christianity and wrestling, and much more. Then we get into our questions about this week’s WWE RAW (42:55- 1:19:40) and also get into this week’s NXT (1:19:40- 1:31:45) as well. After that, we take a look at this week’s ROH TV (1:31:45- 1:41:00) and we also do our NJPW Power Struggle 2015 Review (1:41:00-2:08:55,) where we give our thoughts on all the matches, including a fantastic match between Tomohiro Ishii and Tomoaki Honma for the NEVER Openweight Title. After that, we give our thoughts on who was inducted into the 2015 Wrestling Observer HOF (2:08:55- 2:19:00) and if some other guys on the ballot should have been in there instead. We finish things out with a look ahead to the NJPW World Tag League (2:19:00-2:23:30) and our thoughts on this week's TNA Impact Wrestling (2:23:30-2:30:40) and the continuing World Title Series. Then we end it with our W2M Power Rankings (2:30:40-End) and our Superstar of the Month and Match of the Month for October.
