In this episode of the Millennial Dentist Podcast, I share the capability of priority scheduling. Learning a high-paying procedure to include in your practice takes time and a huge amount of effort. The last thing you want to happen is for this procedure to fail just because of poor planning. Know the power of scheduling in this episode and how you can utilize time to fit walk-in patients into your daily blocks. Additional topics in this episode include the optimization of weekly goals rather than daily goals. @01:57 3D Growth Summit @02:41 Not Priority Scheduling in Practice @05:29 How could you overcome this? @09:27 Daily Goals vs Weekly Goals @12:12 What can you do better? Who is Dr. Sully Sullivan? Dr. Sully is a fourth-generation dentist from Nashville, Tn. After receiving his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Tennessee, he moved back to Nashville to practice with his father. By continuing to invest in his education through adult orthodontics, soft tissue grafting, dental implants, third molar extractions, and obstructive sleep apnea, he helped double his practice in just 24 months. As a millennial, he truly believes in working smarter not harder, which has led him to utilize technology to not only deliver better patient care but more efficient care. Dr. Sullivan regularly uses CEREC, 3D imaging with Galileos, 3D printing, and multiple lasers. In addition to his practice, he started the Millennial Dentist Podcast in February of 2017 to help push his fellow colleagues to take their dental careers to the next level. Dr. Sully lectures around the country on cone beam technology, cad/cam dentistry, obstructive sleep apnea, and practice management. He is also an ambassador for the 3D-Dentist teaching facility in Raleigh, NC. As always, thanks so much for listening! Hey Girl!! The act of writing something down often provides accountability that otherwise might be lacking. When we write down our goals, we are more likely to achieve them. Studies have shown that we are more likely to achieve our goals if we write them down. One study found that we are 42% more likely to achieve our goals if we write them down. The act of writing down our goals also helps us to clarify our goals. It is easy to have goals that are vague and difficult to achieve. When we write down our goals, we are forced to be specific and to think about what we need to do to achieve our goals. https://youtu.be/HPIZ3tx8MOk Juggling schedules!? Use the weekly goals and be flexible. Now when things get crazy and you're shifting stuff around, you can look and say: OK, what am I trying to accomplish THIS WEEK, just the next 7 day. And really the 5 days get crazy midweek. Bonus Tip at the end of the video! Weekly goals contain: volume intensity of sessions number of long sessions number of lift sessions maybe something to motivate you: complete one over under session this week, TICK THAT BOX. This will also help those of us that want to do MORE, do the right amount. there's a reason it says 3h and not 4h. Or if i do my 4h today, i can do less tomorrow. BUT make sure i get that long ride in. This is so simple. but so valuable. Quick note on sponsors: i only select things that I use, that I have vetted, and that I TRULY believe in.

To start a new week, you should know your next actions. Today I list this weeks's goals and explain why they don't seem crazy big. How will I know I've won the week? When it's Saturday and everything I said I'd do got done. Open-ended goals will destroy your soul - I'd rather win. And I didn't mention this but what I'm talking about now are activity-goals, not results-goals. In the building phase, it's pretty much all activity, and the same on a weekly level. Results-goals -- income- or client-based -- are, at least for me, best thought about in a monthly/quarterly/yearly context. Don't worry, they're coming... --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/davey-gets-rich/message

Go with the Flo Would you like to test knit a worsted weight hat for me? PM me on Ravelry! Life in Focus I talk more about my 2019 plans, 2 major goals, and the habits I'll be employing to help me get there. Other things I keep in mind: Your past is your teacher not your fortune teller (what can you learn from previous attempts, failures etc) What can/what do I need to cut out? We often need to prioritize our goal over other less important things. Get clear about that up front. Think ahead to what challenges you'll face and think about how to get around that. Make a list of my fears. Writing them down helps! Be ok with failure. Learn from it and move on. If I miss one day or one workout or one healthy meal, get right back on track at the next possible opportunity. "Growth is not in perfection, but in quickening your recovery time when you inevitably act contrary to your highest interests." – Neil Strauss How I Track Progress Weekly Evernote Note. List Quarterly, Monthly and Weekly Goals at the top. Then start a To-Do list for the week. The "to-do's" I add can be removed, moved to the next week or completed as I see fit. Plan each week on Sunday, look at the calendar and plot out my open time. Daily journaling of progress I'm making towards my two goals- paired with my existing habit of writing down my daily plan for water/food and movement. On a Happy Note Had a lovely visit with my dear friend Laura over the New Year's Holiday weekend Watching: The Affair, Season 4. Escape at Dannemore. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Leah Remini; Scientology the Aftermath, Ray Donovan. The Mule (in theater) Purging and clean out after the holidays! New workout area I set up in the cellar! Tree still up! Quote of the Week Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. – Calvin Coolidge ------ Thank you for tuning in.
