The money story you live by was written long before your first paycheck. In this episode, discover how inherited scripts shape your life — and how recalibration breaks the cycle of “never enough.”By the time you earned your first dollar, your relationship with money was already decades old. Family, faith, and culture hand us money scripts — unspoken rules that quietly shape how we spend, save, and give.Maybe you heard “We don't have enough” so often it became your baseline reality. Maybe you were taught that money makes people selfish, so success feels heavy with guilt. Or maybe generosity was survival, so you still overgive until you're empty. These scripts don't fade with age or achievement. They live in your nervous system, tagged as survival cues, and they run the show until you recalibrate them. That's why success still feels fragile, even when the account says otherwise. In this episode of The Recalibration, Julie Holly unpacks:The science of money scripts: why they're stored as implicit memory and not just “mindsets”The ILR lens: why scripts are not habits but identity fragmentsHow Madam C.J. Walker rewrote inherited scarcity into generational impact as the first self-made female millionaireWhy visualization and budgeting can't resolve inherited scripts — and why ILR is the tool that makes every other tool effectiveToday's Micro Recalibration:“What money story did I inherit? And how does it show up in how I spend, save, or give?”If you've felt the weight of inherited money stories — or noticed them bleeding into how you lead your team, nonprofit, or home — this episode will give you language for what you've carried and show you how to break the cycle. If this episode gave you language you've been missing, please rate and review the show so more high-capacity humans can find it. Hosted by Dr. Sarah Hensley, Specialized Social Psychologist, Attachment Theory Expert, and Founder & CEO of The Love Doc Relationship Coaching Services with Co-host Raina Butcher, Owner/CEO of Joyful Consulting, LLC. Welcome to "The Love Doc Podcast" Season II, where Host Dr. Sarah Hensley and her co-host Raina Butcher dive deep into the intricacies of love, attraction, attachment, relationships, and self-awareness. Dr. Hensley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help listeners navigate the complexities of modern romance. In each episode, Dr. Hensley tackles burning questions about love, relationships, and the mind's complexities, drawing from her psychological research, real-life experiences, and her own individual expertise, to provide insightful perspectives and practical advice.Episode 16 - “Breaking Free from Fear: How to Stop Letting It Run Your Life and Ruin Your Relationships”Fear is one of the most powerful forces shaping our choices, our relationships, and the way we show up in the world. In this episode of The Love Doc Podcast, Dr. Sarah Hensley and co-host Raina Joy dive deep into the psychology of fear, how it hides beneath the surface of our nervous system, how it gets wired in early experiences, and how it quietly dictates our patterns in love, conflict, and connection. Fear often masquerades as self-protection. It convinces us to shut down instead of lean in, to control instead of trust, to react instead of respond. Left unchecked, fear doesn't just cause anxiety, it erodes intimacy, sabotages our communication, and keeps us locked in cycles that feel impossible to break. Drawing on nearly two decades of attachment science and relational psychology, Dr. Sarah explains how fear is tied to our nervous system's survival responses and why “pushing through it” rarely works for long. But this conversation goes beyond science. Raina and Dr. Sarah also explore the deeper spiritual dimensions of fear, bringing their strong Christian faith into the dialogue. They reference scriptures like “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7), highlighting how God's design for us is rooted not in bondage to fear but in freedom, love, and courage. Together, they weave psychology and spirituality into a holistic understanding of why fear shows up, and how we can begin to release it. Most importantly, this episode doesn't just name the problem, it offers a path forward. Dr. Sarah and Raina share practical steps for loosening fear's grip on your life, from nervous system capacity-building strategies, to reorienting your mindset, to leaning into the promises of God. You'll learn how to recognize when fear is running your decisions, how to cultivate safety within yourself, and how to start showing up in relationships with greater faith, confidence, and emotional resilience. If fear has been dictating your choices, your relationships, or your sense of self-worth, this episode is an invitation to step into a different story, one of courage, clarity, and connection.Tune in to "The Love Doc Podcast" every Tuesday morning for candid conversations, expert guidance, and a deeper understanding of life, love and relationships in the modern world. Welcome to episode #999 of Six Pixels of Separation - The ThinkersOne Podcast. Noah Giansiracusa is an associate professor of mathematics at Bentley University and a visiting scholar at Harvard who has built a reputation for translating the hidden power of algorithms into plain language that empowers individuals. With a PhD in algebraic geometry from Brown, he's always bringing a mathematician's eye to the cultural and social impact of technology. His earlier book, How Algorithms Create and Prevent Fake News, was praised by Nobel Prize–winning economist Paul Romer as “the best guide to the strategies and stakes of this battle for the future.” In his latest book, Robin Hood Math - Take Control Of The Algorithms That Run Your Life, Noah shows how banks, insurers, tech giants and governments use algorithms to make decisions that shape our lives, and how ordinary people can reclaim agency using simple mathematical tools. At a time when our feeds, finances and even friendships are increasingly mediated by code, Noah argues that math can be a democratizing force: a way to cut through the opacity of “black box” systems, understand who benefits from them, and make better choices in daily life. His work emphasizes that algorithms are neither inherently good nor bad, they tilt the balance of power depending on who wields them. By unpacking formulas like the weighted sum that underpins credit scores, college rankings and even TikTok virality, he provides a way to see through the manipulation and complexity. In this episode, Noah discusses the double-edged nature of technology, the transparency gap in digital platforms, the cultural consequences of algorithm-driven media and why math education must evolve to reflect the algorithmic realities students are already living. For anyone curious about reclaiming autonomy in a world increasingly designed by machines, his message is clear: a little math can go a long way in leveling the playing field. “When I was fat as f*ck…” This line is how Nick Geoppo started his videos and built an entire empire. Nick spent half of his life trapped in the same cycle so many of us know too well. The binge-restrict-shame-start over loop. He lost and gained weight over and over, tried every diet possible and built his identity around “I'll fix it tomorrow.” But in 2019, he broke the cycle for good. And now he's helping people to do the same. I wanted to have Nick on the podcast for a few reasons, but the main reason is because this story is BIGGER than the weight loss.  Yes, Nick's journey is about going from obese to healthy but the way he describes the fear, the food obsession, the shame and the starting again cycle is EXACTLY what so many women with disordered eating and body dysmorphia go through every single day. Nick is the permission slip to stop letting food run your life… and to start living a life that actually turns you on and lights you up. Together we will cover:  How to stop letting your obsessive food thoughts take over your whole day Why willpower isn't the answer, and what actually works instead The exact moment Nick realised food wasn't the problem at all What to do when you feel like you've wasted years of your life in this cycle… Why rock bottom is fuel but you don't have to hit it to make serious change What actually changes in your sex life and relationships when you heal your relationships with food …and so much more. Featured Story Scott opens up about a vulnerable moment when his wife forgot to make his lunch before leaving for an appointment, making him feel like a three-year-old asking “What am I going to eat, mommy?” This honest story leads into a powerful discussion about how businesses require positive ROI, and your life should too. Just like a business can't survive losing money, you shouldn't invest time and energy into activities that leave you worse off than when you started. Important Points Every business must generate profit to survive, and your life should operate the same way - you need positive returns on your investments of time and energy. Most people have experienced ending up with less than they started with in some area of life, but unlike businesses that can fail completely, you have the ability to switch gears and change direction when needed. The key to success lies in measuring your progress consistently, just like weighing yourself daily when losing weight, because “if you can't measure it, you can't succeed.” Memorable Quotes “Do more of what you love and less of what you don't. That's it.” “If you can't measure it, you can't succeed. You can only get where you want to go if you know where you're going.” “Life is better when you have a positive return, a positive ROI in everything that you do.” Scott's Three-Step Approach Decide what you do when you're living a happy life and be very specific. Get in touch with what truly makes you happy - it's probably simpler than you think and something you might not want to admit right now. Be flexible in your approach, find what works, lock it in, refine it if necessary, and keep doing it. Expect detours and changes, but stay committed to what consistently works for you. Set benchmarks, measure your progress, and when you miss milestones, immediately adjust and get back on track. Create key performance indicators for your life and use them to stay accountable to your goals. Connect With Me Search for The Daily Boost on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Shifting from Fear to Faith: Uncover simple yet transformative mental strategies to replace fearful scenarios with empowering visions that elevate your emotional state and boost your resilience. Hey friends! Welcome to Girls' Night! I'm so excited about today's episode. Today we're talking about how to stop letting fear run your life. If you're like me, you have a vision for your life and career and your family- but somehow, fear, self-doubt, and uncertainty keep creeping in, whispering that you're not enough or that you're just not ready. Well, it's time to silence those voices and start living the life you ACTUALLY want to live. Our guest for today's episode is my friend, Mary Marantz. Mary is the three-time bestselling author of Underestimated, Dirt, and Slow Growth Equals Strong Roots, as well as the host of the popular podcast The Mary Marantz Show. She grew up in a trailer in rural West Virginia and was the first in her family to go to college before going on to Yale for law school. I was so blown away by Mary's story. She's teaching us how to reclaim our power from fear and create a new narrative for our lives. This is seriously one of my favorite episodes ever! I know I say that all the time, but it's true. I can't wait for you to hear from her!

Send us a textBefore getting into today's podcast with the inspiring Amadou Ba, I want to ask all of you, wherever you are listening, to think about your own life and some of the important things you feel you have been able to accomplish.Maybe that was graduating from high school or university or maybe it was being accepted into a post-graduate masters or PhD program or perhaps it might have been getting your first career-changing job or even being promoted within your organization.Whatever it was, I want you to reflect on the people who believed in you and supported you along this path. Who were these people? When you think about these people, what was it they specifically did that gave you the confidence and belief in yourself to know and understand that you were absolutely on the right path?Today's episode will be the 270th episode I've released on my Run Your Life podcast and the conversation you are about to hear is all about the power of human connection. We are really going to focus on the role that important mentors, educators and coaches have played in our lives in helping us to understand what is possible in our lives. This podcast episode is with the amazing Amadou Ba, former 6ft 10 center who played 4 seasons with the University of Michigan Wolverines Basketball team from 2002-2006.Amadou's story epitomizes what it means to embrace a truly resilient mindset and that when opportunities open up to us in life, we need to honor the talents and strengths we have by working as hard as possible. Doing so not only helps us to  access the best of ourselves, but also pushes us to fulfill the potential we have to make a difference in our lives. What you will hear in this episode is Amadou's deep gratitude and appreciation for the people who believed in him and supported him along his journey to ultimately help him to go on to be a success student-athlete who graduated with a degree from the University of Michigan. As you listen to this episode, I hope you walk away reflecting on all of the people who gave you the support you needed to be successful in your life and that you always remember how important it is to keep giving back in your own ways to continue to make the difference in the world you desire.Although our accomplishments are important, the world is so much more of a better place when we give back to others. In closing, I want to thank my two friends Leticia Carino and Andy Duffield for being a part of this podcast and for sharing their own insight. This episode is brought to you by Fatty15 and Blueland. When it comes to weight loss, most people rely on the usual strategies—cutting calories and exercising more. But what happens when these methods don't work? And how do we ensure we're losing fat, not muscle? It's time to rethink our approach. Instead of just focusing on the number on the scale, we should prioritize body recomposition—building a stronger, healthier body that supports longevity and resilience as we age. Today on The Dhru Purohit Show, we bring you a special compilation episode featuring Dhru's conversations with leading experts on why body composition is more important than your scale weight.  Sal Di Stefano, Mind Pump co-founder and fitness expert, explains why body composition matters more than the number on the scale. He breaks down the most efficient and sustainable ways to exercise and highlights the crucial role muscle plays in overall health. Sal also reveals why lasting motivation for a healthier lifestyle must come from within. By adopting practical, sustainable strategies, we can boost energy, improve well-being, and achieve our fitness goals—all while promoting longevity. JJ Virgin shares her top strategies for weight loss, muscle building, and vibrant aging, emphasizing the power of resistance training for sustained fat loss and the importance of tracking personal goals for long-term motivation. Sal Di Stefano began his fitness journey at just 18, quickly rising to prominence as a trainer and opening some of the largest big-box gyms in the California Bay Area. By 24, he launched a wellness-focused fitness studio that combined expertise in hormones, nutrition, gut health, and fitness training. Today, Sal is a highly sought-after expert known for his practical, easy-to-apply insights. As co-host of the Mind Pump Podcast—the world's top fitness and health podcast—he's appeared on hundreds of leading shows and frequently speaks at events for trainers and health practitioners. Because in that brief moment, we feel less afraid of being NONE of those things…and that fear can truly run everything in our lives if we let it. We've all faced that negative voice in our life that tells us we can't do something, or that we are not enough. And sometimes, it's caused us to make decisions that don't support who we want to be, as a runner or a person. But there is a way to be stronger than that negative voice, so that you can ultimately be the runner and person that you want to be, and accomplish all the big goals you set out for yourself. For Sandra Mikulic, this was something she learned by overcoming her own self-doubt through finding consistency, believing in herself, and taking actionable steps to be the best version of herself. And that has allowed her to not only run multiple ultramarathons, marathons, and run a 5K every day since Jan 2019; but it has also allowed her to live a fulfilling life where she truly loves herself. Sandra Mikulic, a passionate Canadian runner and proud mother of four, is the creator of Run Your Life magazine, a publication celebrating athletes of all body types and abilities. Sandra discovered her love for running at the age of 43 in 2018, making the shift from treadmill routines to running outdoors.  On January 1, 2019, she set a personal goal to run or walk 5 kilometers every single day—a commitment she has upheld without fail. Sandra has participated in numerous races, including marathons and ultra-marathons, while using her journey to challenge common perceptions about body image in sports. By openly sharing her experiences and personal challenges, she has cultivated a welcoming and supportive community. Inspired by this connection, Sandra founded Run Your Life magazine to encourage others to embrace movement and foster self-acceptance, no matter their size or fitness level. Today on what would normally be a Sniper Elite podcast, the lads chat to father and son Nick and Michael Stride.  Nick is the author of 'Run For Your Life'. Run For Your Life is the remarkable true story of a family forced into hiding after leaking Russian secrets. The book is the first time that Nicholas Stride and his children Anya and Michael share their harrowing story of being on the run in the remote Dampier Peninsula of Australia, after receiving death threats from Russian henchmen. For several years the family battled snakes, crocodiles, tornadoes, fires, hunger and thirst to survive. Today, Nick and Michael join us on the podcast to discuss their story and answer all our burning questions after reading the book. The Daily Boost | Coaching You Need. Success You Deserve.

Run Your Life Like a Business Not a day goes by without someone asking how to get what they want. I almost always say, "It's all about return on investment." After all, it would be a shame to work hard toward your goals and end up with less than you started - right? That's why you should run your life like a business: 1) Decide what you do when you are living a happy life. Be very specific. 2) Be flexible in your approach. When you find what works, lock it in, refine your method, and keep doing it. 3) Set benchmarks and measure your progress. You can only get where you are going when you know where you are. 4) If you don't achieve your milestones, immediately adjust and get back on track. Life is better when you get a positive return on your efforts. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
