For this episode of Sustainably LB, I got to hold space with Madeline Reddel. Madeline is a musician and educator who looks to serve the community in ways that are authentic to her. She takes what she already has, physically or otherwise, and pours love into her little corner of the world through considering the greater good.It is so inspiring to talk to individuals that see a need and fill a need. And while having these conversations is so needed, we are not going to get anywhere by conversation alone. We need to act on these inspired moments and that is exactly what Madeline aims to do through her teachings, singing and creating events that serve both her passions. I am so honored that I got the chance to sit with Madeline and talk about sustainability as a whole and showing up for our community. As a woman in her 40s (or older), do you want to learn how to exercise in a way that moves you forward but also honours your body through day-to-day fluctuations?Olivia Park is a women's health and performance coach who helps active women lift hard and live well both in and out of the gym. She helps women find liberation from the ‘shoulds' in fitness and the all-or-nothing mindset through purpose-driven training. And she's a deadset legend. In this episode, Olivia shares about her own hormonal battles. And she answers questions like...How has the toxicity of the fitness industry and diet culture damaged women's relationships with food and exercise? How can exercise be designed from a health-first approachWhat is LEA (low energy availability), and what are the long-term impacts on women, specifically women over 40.Topics discussed include:Exercise during perimenopause and menopauseHow to know if your exercise is working for you, not against youCreating positive change and shifting the direction of the fitness industryExercise with a health-first approachThe fitness industry is doing a disservice when the messages are ‘train harder, eat less'. So many women are doing their absolute best to follow this prescription because there's not enough evidence to prove that there could be a different way. We're bombarded with sexy sounding F45 shreds and challenges and 1200 calorie diets that are going to make our lives better and finally, we will have the confidence and feel the worthiness we're promised.Nope. A hormonal and health shit show? Most likely, yes.AND You need enough food to meet the demands not only of your exercise but of living. You need nutrition to support your training, your lifestyle, the stress of being a mum, an employee, an entrepreneur, a solo parent, a caregiver, a partner, a friend … all those stressors on top of training add up.The more you buy into eating less, and exercising more, the more you are taking yourself away from what you actually desire.LINKSOlivia Park Coaching - websiteOlivia Park Coaching - InstagramFemale Health & Performance CertificationPachinko - NetflixDear Menopause Episodes related to this topicNutritional Changes through perimenopause and beyondFitness, Wellness Wankery and the future of menopause careInformation on personal training with SonyaThank you for listening to my show! Welcome to episode 13 of the Intuitive Business Podcast with Seeking Wilder. This episode is for everyone that wants to create a sacred, safe community. In this episode Courtney speaks with Dylan MacIntyre from Crystal and Stone about how astrology has shaped their identity, community, Mercury Retrograde and the importance of treating yourself. They all speak on what led Dylan to Australia. Dylan is one of the owners of Crystal & Stone, a local crystal shop, and community event space. When he's not helping people find the perfect crystal; he's either reading a book, teaching a yoga class, dancing terribly to 90's throwbacks or telling someone an awful dad joke. He prides himself on Crystal & Stone becoming so much more than a shop or even an event space, but instead becoming a community of people that come together regularly to feel good, laugh, learn, and grow together. In this episode Courtney and Dylan speak on Dylan's and Crystal & Stone's chart, and the part it plays in his and his business's evolution. They speak on how Crystal and Stone's 10th house is in Libra, which is connected to justice which perfectly ties in with the business's efforts to be welcoming and inclusive. Dylan is a Taurus rising and has Venus in the first house too, which relates perfectly to creating a beautiful, nourishing spaces – which he has done in Crystal and Stone too. Perfectionism and pleasure are oil and water. They don't mix! Perfectionists set impossible standards for ourselves, and when we are unable to meet these expectations, we are in our heads and say mean things to ourselves. And this certainly is not an environment where pleasure can enter. I am a recovering perfectionist, and despite all the work I have done in this area of my life, it is still there. The key is to be able to identify those thoughts and create awareness so that we can love ourselves through it. In this episode, let's take a deeper look at identifying those thoughts, the different areas of our lives where it can disrupt our pleasure, and what we can do about it.Topics In This EpisodePerfection is subjectiveWhat would perfect even look like? Is it even realistic? When perfectionism keeps you from setting goalsThe physical impact that damaging self-talk can have on youHolding on to this idea of perfect does not serve youCreating a container for pleasure to thrive inWhen we extend our perfectionism and expectations to our partnersA quick note! I am planning an upcoming Q&A episode on the podcast. If you have a question you would like for me to answer, send an email to team@daniellesavory.com and use the subject, “Podcast Q&A”. I want to assure you that these will be kept completely anonymous. This is your opportunity to ask me anything. Nothing is TMI or off-limits. As always, it's been my absolute pleasure to share this conversation with you about perfectionism in the world, and how it wreaks havoc on our pursuit of pleasure. Take a look at it for you. When you notice that you are berating yourself, it's a chance to be aware, and show yourself love. Are you ready to not feel this way anymore? If you're ready, make the decision to work on your perfectionism for the sake of your pleasure.

How do you move to the front of the stage when you've spent a lifetime being in the background? This is the question many talented musicians and vocalists are asking. As the entire world continues to struggle to recover from the impact of COVID-19, singers and background musicians are no longer able to work consistently behind touring artists. This has forced many of us to rethink how to use our gifts and become more visible in the public eye. Thankfully, you don't have to have a outgoing personality, be social media savvy, or have a public relations team in order to shift from a supporting musician role to one of a front-line, independent artists. But it does take a major shift in mindset. In this passionate discussion, you'll be encouraged to make three adjustments in your strategy that will help you think like an independent artist, instead of waiting for other artists to create work for you. These strategies include: Creating a relevant and attractive sound that is unique to youCreating a marketing plan that sells your interesting qualitiesCreating a message that resonates with your audience. While your skills as a background musician or vocalist are still very important, you must expand your knowledge and stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone if you want to thrive in this brand-new music and entertainment industry. Key Topics covered in this episodeWhy simply remaining as a background music specialist is no longer a viable option Why being a front-line artist doesn't mean selling out your musical or artistic values Some simple ways to introduce yourself as an independent artistThe spiritual responsibility you have to yourself and your audience to present your unique gifts How to sell and promote yourself even in the midst of cultural and social upheavalLinks:Learn about The 4 Questions you need to ask before going Full-Time in Arts and EntertainmentListen to episode 54 and our interview with Grammy award winning producer Daniel Weatherspoon Download our free Checklist to radically improve your livestreaming concerts Make your LiveStream an OMG!
