Myles also put out possibly the best conspiracy about the whistleblower that's been hypothesized.
On Sunday, we were absolutely honored and privileged to be able to attend multiple historic events that took place in Dayton in honor of the victims of the mass shooting that took place there a year ago. We attended Kanye West's "Sunday Service," as well as Dave Chappelle's "Gem City Shine" block party featuring surprise appearances from Stevie Wonder, Chance The Rapper, Jon Stewart and many more. While the performances themselves were absolutely incredible, what was more impressive was the beautiful environment that was created by the people of Dayton showing why #DaytonStrong is more than a saying. The infectious love and hope that was in the air was something truly special, and we want you to hear why.

Leader. Real. Motivational. Inspirational. These are all just words to some people, but to Nipsey Hussle living these characteristics every single day was a way of life. We lost an important one y'all. And it hurts. We hadn't planned on recording today, but we decided that turning all this energy into something productive and inspirational sounded like a fitting way to pay our respects to the legend we just lost. Some of the Nipsey related and inspired topics we touched on include:- The overall need for us as human beings to do better as a society- The INCREDIBLE legacy that Nipsey leaves behind not only in the realm of music, but in countless other areas- The balance between the idea of "destiny" and reality and learning to live life somewhere in between- Embracing today vs. planning for tomorrow and how time on this earth is not guaranteed - The importance of mastering your energy and learning how to use it in productive ways- Music's incredible ability to act as a religion- Chasing your dreams NOW- + SO much more.We hope this discussion can help other people like us who are struggling to cope and can lead to personal growth in a time of heartbreak. It is absolutely what he would want. Rest In Power, king.

We started with our latest edition of White People Wylin' and discussed Robert Kraft's prostitution scandal, Nick Sandmann's lawsuit, the Coast Guard TERRORIST, & more. Next, we talked the newest details of Jussie Smollett's horrible attempted execution of his disgusting plot to advance his career and looked at Charles Barkley's legendary rant on the matter on Inside The NBA.Finally, we discussed Lisa Borders' decision to step down as the CEO of "Time's Up" in wake of her desire to defend her son from a sexual assault accusation. Jussie Smollett was arrested by the Chicago Police Department today and has been charged with a felony for lying about the alleged hate crime he was the victim of recently. In lieu of this disturbing news, we discussed the implications of this extremely destructive attempt to gain acclaim at the expense of multiple oppressed communities. We talked about how this will arm racists with ammo to dismiss future REAL hate crimes, the importance of being able to view accusations on a case by case basis, and most importantly how we as a society NEED to learn patience when reacting to situations on social media as to not put ourselves in a position to contribute to these destructive trends ourselves.
NBA All Star Weekend always brings us memorable and historic moments, and the 2019 edition in Charlotte was no different. Cole, and more! We also dove a littler further and discussed how the NBA is clearly more talented top to bottom than ever, the excitement of having so many young superstars in the making, and how superstars NEED to start participating in the Dunk Contest again.
This episode, we continued one of my favorite new segments where we all try to stump each other with music that was culturally relevant to our respective upbringings that the others missed out on! The result is always a combination of pure comedy, cultural education, and a history lesson! You might even find yourself walking away with some new classics to bump! The songs used this time were (In order):"Hate (I Really Don't Like You" - Plain White T's"Tubthumping" - Chumbawamba "Handlebars" - Flobots"Never Too Much" - Luther Vandross"Computer Love" - Zap"Tonite" - DJ Quik"They Reminisce Over You "- Pete Rock & CL Smooth"Got Til It's Gone" - Janet Jackson feat Q-Tip"Come On Eileen" - Dexy's Midnight Runners"Movin' Out" - Billy Joel

The Grammys always stir debate, especially in the hip hop community, and the 61st edition of the show was no different. We dove into the detainment of 21 Savage by I.C.E, the alleged attack on "Empire" star Jussie Smollett, Terry Crews' fighting the stigma of men being able to fight off sexual assault, & Liam Neeson's blatantly racist statements. We dove deeper as always on all these issues and talked about how I.C.E. is evil and white people that support it don't realize they are ALL immigrants, how toxic American culture is towards black members of the LGBT community, the power dynamics behind sexual assault that transcend gender, and much more!

Since I am always flaming Trey for not being hip to songs that the other 7 billion people on the planet know, he was inspired to come up with a game that we will be coming back to every week! We attempted to stump each other by playing songs that were culturally relevant in our own communities that the others might have not been exposed to. We prefaced this by explaining our own musical upbringings and looked at how interesting it is that so much of our taste depends on what we were exposed to growing up and it led to a really eye opening conversation.
We hard a particularly important conversation on this episode in which we openly discussed the N word and it's usage. We talked about our personal experiences of how it was used and by whom, the historical aspect of its roots, hip hop's usage of it leading to communities being exposed to it that weren't before, the way it makes different people feel, and much more. We hope this encourages some understanding and dialogue between people from all walks of life that may need some perspective in order to truly understand the word's power and meaning.

White people: can y'all stop? Between the disgusting verdict in the Laquan Mcdonald case, the viral video of Covington High School's grotesque display towards a Native American protester, & Mike Pence's wife taking a job at a Christian school that bans LGBT students and then crying about "attacks on Christianity," we had a lot to lecture you on this week. We dove deep into these topics as always and further discussed our horribly broken justice system, why if you are more enraged when I call police pigs than when an unarmed black teenager is murdered you are part of the problem, how your beliefs do not get to infringe on other peoples' existence, tribalism as a whole, and more issues that will probably boil some white privileged blood!
This episode we discussed some of the problematic comments made by artists in the past week. Future exhibited toxic masculinity with his comments on Ciara & Russell Wilson, while Erykah Badu (who should have been canceled for her previous Hitler comments) tried to exhibit sympathy for R. Kelly at a show in Chicago and was rightfully boo'd. We discussed the issues both of these scenarios brought up, and also dove into where the line between appropriation and appreciation lies in lieu of Ariana Grande's video for "7 Rings" being called out. Finally, we discussed the culture of shaming people for not being hip to certain artists, why it's whack, how NO ONE knows EVERYONE, and how industry personalities are held to an unfair standard.

Ellen DeGeneres recently had Kevin Hart on her show in the midst of the controversy surrounding his decision to step down from hosting the Oscars after controversial old Tweets surfaced to try and convince him to reconsider hosting. The public outcry from this was deafening, as 'cancel' culture showed once again that it cannot reasonably look at each unique situation differently in order to gauge the proper level of action that the accused party must put forth in order to be 'forgiven.' We discussed the situation at hand as well as how internet 'cancel' culture has caused people to be very willing to force others to look into a mirror while refusing to look into one themselves + more!
Everyone has been talking about "Surviving R Kelly," (Even though most of us already knew R Kelly was a gross human being), so we jumped in on the conversation and discussed a few topics that the documentary brought up. We elaborated on those topics to discuss fans enabling Kanye's behavior, how people view cheating in relationships, and how the "King of R&B" debate ignores the fact that women run the genre.
In wake multiple events of various levels of seriousness that all tie into it, we decided to talk all about white privilege (yes, it exists) this episode. From Laura Loomer's temper tantrum at Twitter HQ, to the lady who named her kid 'Abcde' and cried on social media when she was mocked, to Americans who supposedly care about people and follow religions that dictate to do so being OK with the tear gassing of children at the border, we tackled it all.
