All information provided here is for educational purposes only and does not constitute investment, legal or tax advice, an offer to buy or sell any security or insurance product; or an endorsement of any third party or such third party's views.  All examples are hypothetical and for illustrative purposes only.  Please contact us for an assessment of your personal financial circumstances and to obtain personal investment advice.  927-6400     CHINESE STOCKS: I rarely purchase equities in third world countries, but I believe China might be an interesting equity play right now.  I was convinced that Chinese Ch Xi Xingping was poised to invade Taiwan this year.  Remember folks that Taiwan manufactures 64% of all computer chips made on this planet.  China spends some $300 byn on computer chips…every year.  That's more than they spend on their entire military budget.  When I hear Ch Xi wax poetically about reuniting w/ Taiwan, I roll my eyes because I understand the desire to take Taiwan is purely financial and political It's political because Ch Xi is up for re-election by the 25 person Politburo on Oct 18 of this year.  Apparently Xi has locked-up hundreds of thousands of fellow CCP members for corruption in his first 9.5 yrs in office, and some of those guys are getting out of prison as their terms expire.  I have read that they have the “long knives” out for Xi.  They literally want him dead.  Keep in mind that only 1/13 Chinese are CCP members. Starting one year ago, Xi initiated a crackdown on Chinese tech companies.  Some stock prices are down as much as 80% and many of the old-guard, hardliners who owned shares in those tech stocks aren't too happy w/ Ch Xi. I believe Ch Xi has watched Putin's failed invasion of Ukraine and re-drawn his plans.  Fox News is reporting that Putin has lost ⅕ of his army in his first 4 weeks of fighting; 15,000 are dead, and 25,000 are wounded or MIA.  Ukraine is going to have one hell-of-a time housing 10's of thousands of Russian POW's.   So Xi has watched this botched invasion, and more importantly the western world's reaction to it, and has decided to go w/ plan B.  I believe Plan B includes lifting regulations he installed on Chinese tech companies and providing easier financing for those companies which should act to inflate stock prices.  And sure enough, last Wednesday China came out and declared closure on it's tech crackdown.   According to CNBC, Chinese and U.S. regulators are progressing toward a cooperation plan on U.S.-listed Chinese stocks, state media said, citing a financial stability meeting Wednesday chaired by Vice Premier Liu He. ·           Days of worries about U.S. delisting risks, on top of existing concerns about     economic growth, had sent Chinese stocks plunging in New York and Hong Kong. So, Xi needs to bring something to the table to get re-appointed, and that something probably isn't Taiwan; at least not yet.  Looks to me like one of the things he will bring to the table is higher Chinese stock prices.  I have been buying 6 Chinese tech stocks for some of my more aggressive  clients along w/ a mutual fund for diversification.  Call me at 927-6400 for more information.  And call me soon because this idea has a “use by” date.

Power. In January 2022—nine months later—that same model-year vehicle was selling for an average of $48,765 as a slightly used vehicle.       SOCIAL SECURITY: Retirees can start Taking Social Security benefits any time between ages 62 and 70, but for every month of delay, the payment increases. Benefits are also adjusted annually to reflect increases in the Labor Department's CPI-W, a measure of inflation affecting blue-collar workers.   For example, someone born after Jan. 1, 1960, who is entitled to $2,025 a month at age 62 would receive $3,587 before cost-of-living adjustments by holding off on claiming until age 70. With a 5% inflation adjustment, the benefit available at age 70 would be about $5,300.   Cost-of-living increases start at age 62, whether you claim or delay, and continue for as long as you live. Based on the rise in third-quarter inflation, the increase for 2022 was 5.9%, the largest since 1982, according to Social Security Administration data.  BUT, inflation was up 7.5% last year.  So even though S.S. payments went up 5.9%, the buying power of S.S. payments declined by 1.6%.   A person who postpones benefits until age 70 instead of 62 would have to live to 80½ years old to come out ahead.   TIPS When inflation exceeds expectations, prices of ordinary bonds typically get hammered. That is when Treasury inflation-protected securities, or TIPS, tend to do well.    Backed by the U.S. government, TIPS are bonds with principal and coupon payments that adjust to keep pace with the consumer-price index.   The bond market currently expects inflation over the next decade to average about 2.46%. That is the difference between the minus 0.51% inflation-adjusted yield on the 10-year TIPS and the 1.95% nominal yield on a regular 10-year Treasury note. If the CPI averages more than 2.46% over that time, TIPS will deliver a higher total return than Treasurys. A tech race (GS & SL) have 4 components: The top of the first run, the bottom of the first run, the top of the second run & the bottom of the second run.  Of all four of those sections, where has Mikaela DOMINATED?  The 4th component.  She owns the bottom of the second run.  Here, she and her coach (who set the first SL run) decided she should go full-out, or all-in at the top of both first runs.  I don't get it at all.  Her strategy was at odds with her strategy in all of her 73 WC victories.     LITHIUM, Part 3: Several weeks ago we looked at Lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.  You might recall that here in the U.S. There are about 289 million vehicles on the road in the US, with an average age of 12.1 years. President Good Joe (always remember folks, Orange Man Bad, vote for President Good Joe).  President Good Joe wants all American cars to be EV's.  The Tesla Model 3 uses 48 kg's (105 lbs) of Lithium hydroxide per car.   How many lithium mines do we have here in the U.S.?  The lone U.S. lithium mine produces 3500 metric tonnes of lithium carbonate/yr.  That's enough lithium to build 73,000 Tesla Model 3's/yr.   “In 2019, Australia and Chile led the world in lithium extraction at 52.9 and 21.5 percent, respectively. While China ranked third in lithium extraction at 9.7 percent.”   How is President Good Joe going to create green jobs when 84% of all lithium mining occurs in Australia, Chile and China? Collectively, the world produces 520,000 metric tonnes of lithium/yr; enough to build 10.8 myn EV's/yr, yet Pres. But, only 56% of lithium is used in electric vehicles, 36% is used in cell phones and other gadgets, with the rest being used in ceramics, glass and lubricating greases, and to treat psychological dsiorders….which means with current worldwide lithium production, we can only produce just north of 6 myn new EV's/yr. President Good Joe wants to replace our whole fleet of 289 myn vehicles with EV's by 2040.  At the current pace of mining, that would take 48+ years if the U.S. used every available ounce of lithium mined in the world.  I constantly tell you folks that democrat leaders and activists can't do simple math.  Car makers sell some 17 myn cars/yr here in the U.S.  We can't even convert all of those sales into EV's for a simple lack of supply of lithium.  Worldwide new auto sales were 66 myn last year There are 2 more lithium mines looking to come online in Nevada.  If we are to meet President Good Joe's goal of all new vehicles being EV's by 2040 then we need all of the lithium we can get our hands on, right? I guarantee you that your bank uses computer chips.  And how about your doctor and hospital?     Now For a Brief History of Taiwan: As a result of the surrender and occupation of Japan at the end of World War II, the island of Taiwan was placed under the governance of the Republic of China (ROC). Following the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1949, the ROC government retreated from the mainland as the Mao's Communists proclaimed the establishment of the People's Republic of China.   The ROC government declared Taipei the temporary capital of the ROC. For many years, the ROC and PRC each continued to claim in the diplomatic arena to be the sole legitimate government of "China". No one believes they won't extend it next year, and the year after that, ad infinitum. CBO says the real cost over 10 years is $1.6 trillion.  So the dimms are lying by more than 8-fold..or 860%.  ·         They peg their earned-income tax credit expansion at a cost of $13 billion because it too ends after one year. CBO says the real cost is $135 billion over 10 years.  That's just a 10-fold lie. ·        An honest accounting of those two programs alone consumes $1.732 trillion, or nearly all of the $1.75 trillion that Sen. Joe Manchin has said is the most total new spending he'll support over 10 years.  But there's so much more. ·        Democrats phase out the child-care and pre-K entitlements after 2027 with a total cost of $381 billion. CBO says the real cost over 10 years is $752 billion if made permanent.  And how could it be “transformative” (to use Lyin' Joe Biden's word) if it's not permanent? ·        They also underestimate the cost of expanded healthcare subsidies at $74 billion by phasing them out in 2025 or 2026. CBO says the real cost is $220 billion. And don't forget the spending after 10 years once the subsidies for all of these new programs become embedded in American behavior. The latest example against her nomination is a video interview she gave in February in which the Cornell professor opined on “the case for a U.S. national investment authority.”   The conversation at one point turned to climate change and its impact on fossil-fuel producers, and Ms. Omarova was on the case. “A lot of the smaller players in that industry are going to, probably, go bankrupt in short order—at least, we want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change,” she said in the session that was part of the Jain Family Institute's “Social Wealth Seminar” series. But then she adds that the response would be to set up a National Capital Management Corporation that would “become a kind of equity investor at that point, taking over management of those companies and basically leading them through restructuring to a new technological basis and to a new technological business model.”   So first put private companies out of business “in short order,” then put government central planners to work to restructure them as the political class wants. Give Ms. Omarova credit for candor. Most progressives disguise their real intentions.   All of this matters because as Comptroller Ms. Omarova would have enormous authority to regulate banks. It's clear from this interview that one of her policy ambitions is to deny capital to certain companies that she wants to go bankrupt. Senators will have to decide if they want the Comptroller to be a one-person systemic risk to the banking system.  WSJ       I PENCIL: “I, Pencil, simple though I appear to be, merit your wonder and awe, a claim I shall attempt to prove. He found that 28% of those degrees have a net negative return. He also found that programs in engineering, computer science, economics and nursing all yield a high return on investment, increasing their students' net lifetime earnings by $500,000. But, a majority of degrees in art, music, philosophy and psychology leave their AVERAGE students worse off financially. One of the nation's highest-return programs is the computer-science major at Harvard University. This degree has an expected value of more than $3 million. But attending the nation's most elite school is no guarantee of financial security. Harvard's ethnic and gender studies program leaves its students worse off by around $47,000 on average, according to my estimates. My school, SUNY Maritime College, offers the highest mid-career earnings which is to say that 10 yrs after graduation, the avg graduate earns some $175,000/yr.  But…it's a military school, so it is not for everyone.         explain to me what the party that created Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Obamacare are going to do to rescue those programs which will be insolvent: SS:  dies in 2033 Medicare: becomes inoperable in 2026 Medicaid; 2026-2030        JELLYSTONE: A guy named Jacob Borden wrote an excellent piece in the journal a couple of weeks ago about the Jellystone Caldera. It's not a matter of if it'll erupt but when.  NASA's JPL found in a 2017 study that the devastation of such an eruption would exceed that of an asteroid 1½ miles wide crashing to Earth.  That is ¼ the size of the asteroid that rendered the dinosaurs extinct. In 2014 the U.S. Geological Survey modeled the likely ash distribution from a Yellowstone super-eruption. They found that the ash radius would reach New York, with as much as 3½ inches of ash falling as far east as Lincoln, Neb. Cropland across the U.S. and Canada would be destroyed, and the release into the atmosphere of sulfate aerosols would create a global “volcanic winter” lasting generations. Fortunately, the JPL also points to a potential solution—horizontal drilling for geothermal energy extraction—that would siphon off excess energy, producing enough electricity to power as many as 20 million homes for a few thousand years...

In its simplest form, investing is an exchange of capital for a stream of future cash flows. The cost of capital is set by its providers based on the riskiness of the investment and the probability of realizing promised cash flows. What makes investing difficult, of course, is that the future is unknowable. Investors can only theorize about a project's potential for success or failure in terms of a range of potential outcomes.   Technology has democratized information, and society is more informed than ever before. We have infinite and instantaneous access to news. However, I question whether that has improved investors' ability to price risk. As John Naisbitt writes in Megatrends, “We are drowning in information but starved for knowledge.” I won't bore you with the details, but he goes on to say in his conclusion that he is not suggesting a bear market or correction is on the horizon. I don't have that type of clairvoyance, nor do my strategist peers (though some think they do!). Anyway, that's not how we think about investing.   Looking ahead, we expect high-priced financial assets that deliver underwhelming fundamental performance to be repriced. When valuations are high, the market's tolerance for disappointing data (even if the miss is small) is low. Conversely, stocks and bonds of companies that meet expectations may be in short supply and outperform by earning a scarcity premium.   Combined with the poor risk/reward tradeoff in many financial assets today, discretion has the potential to be worth more than it has in a very long time. In a sample of more than 700,000 people, natural immunity was 27 times more effective than vaccinated immunity in preventing symptomatic infections.  Which begs the question; why does the Biden Administration ignore natural immunity if it is 27 x more effective than any vaccine, but rather believes you should lose your job if you have convalescent antibodies and refuse to get a vaccine?   ·         Israeli researchers again found that one dose of the Pfizer vaccine, instead of the normal two, was 100% effective in children ages 12 to 15. For the youngest cohort, the FDA has yet to resolve whether the very slight benefits of vaccination outweigh the very slight risks. ·         Vaccines reduce the death rate from 0.4% to 0.04%.   Climate and Ore Total fuel consumption of U.S. airlines is approximately 19 billion gallons annually. Total fuel consumption for mining Ore for construction of electric car batteries is approximately 21 billion gallons annually. The 21 billion gallons of fuel burned can only produce enough Ore to build 250,000 electric car batteries. The lifespan of an electric battery is 10 years and is not renewable. By 2050 these batteries will fill landfills with 50 million pounds of waste that does not break down.     Biles, Cuba and August events Podcast #25: Hello again friends, and welcome back to the 25thpodcast of In My Right Mind w/ me, Russ Andrews, along with the producer of the show, Mr PJ Jaycox.  We have been on summer vacation (from In My Right Mind) for about 7 weeks PJ.  What have you been up to?   Simone Biles:  PJ, as you know, my youngest daughter Sara was a top ranked downhill skier when she was in high school.  After she went off to university, I worked race crews for about 10 years, and was the Chief Gate Judge for about 6 of those years.  As a result of both experiences, I met numerous world class skiers, many of whom are still competing today.  I was even lucky enough to interview Mikaela Schiffrin on KNFO when she was just 16 years old. I spent enough time with Mikaela and her parents Jeff (may he rest in peace) and Eilleen.  Why do you suppose I am bringing up Mikaela and her parents?  Because of what happened to Simone Biles.  Eilleen and Jeff sheltered Mikaela from all of the absolute craziness that swirls around world-class athletes.  Eilleen insisted that when Mikaela was young, that she should focus on training vs competing in little, non-consequential local races.  Eilleen travelled with Mikaela for years while she competed overseas.  Mikaela always had someone to lean on who would protect her.  Her parents and friends and coaches never allowed her to be exploited. Simone Biles is endorsed by Visa, Nike, Gap, Kellogg's, Nabisco and Hershey…so far as I can tell.  Each one of those sponsors require more than the occasional photo shoot for advertisements.  They require the athlete to meet with customers of their brands at multiple parties and conventions.  Each one of those appearances requires young Simone to stop her training schedule, hop on a plane, meet and greet and otherwise make nice, then travel back to her training facility and try to pick-up on her training schedule and routine.  Additionally, NBC made young Simone the face of their advertising and the defacto face of the Olympics. The night of the first round of the women's team competition, I told my wife Lori that there was so much pressure on young Simone, that it would be interesting how she responded to the pressure.  Not well is the answer. I understand that Simone's mother, Shannon was not involved in Simone's life, as she was adopted by her grand parents.  I am sure all of the attention and dollars associated with Simone's success overwhelmed her support group, and they probably had no idea how to protect Simone from the exploitation of her popularity….unlike what the Shiffrins did on behalf of Mikaela.  Life doesn't come with an instruction manual.  Most of us do the best we can with what we have.  But the difference between Mikaela's maturity level vs Simone's has been on display for all to see.     Some day on In My Right Mind, PJ and I will disassemble the pack of lies that is the 1619 project, founded by Nikole Jones, which is an attempt to completely re-write American history.  For now, I want to briefly discuss another one of her lies when she stated that “Cuba has the least inequality between black and white people anyplace really in the hemisphere.”  Tell that to a black Cuban. The very partisan, far left fish wrap called the Washington Post stated in a recent article that “Black families (in Cuba) have experienced some of the deepest hardships as the island grapples with its worst economic decline since the collapse of the Soviet Union. So PJ, critics…like me… are arguing that masking has become a form of virtue signaling. Uncle Joe Biden, the Delaware Destroyer, reinforced that claim with his appeals to patriotism, which began during last year's campaign as a rebuttal to the mask-resistant President Trump. But if wearing a mask conveys a political message, mandating it is constitutionally suspect. “No official, high or petty, can prescribe what shall be orthodox in politics, nationalism, religion, or other matters of opinion or force citizens to confess by word or act their faith therein,” Justice Robert Jackson wrote in West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette (1943), which held that forcing schoolchildren to salute the flag and recite the Pledge of Allegiance violated their freedom of speech. To wear a mask in public is to affirm a viewpoint no less powerful than the Pledge of Allegiance: that Covid poses a crisis so dire as to demand unprecedented government control of our lives and a transformation of the norms of interpersonal behavior. Ubiquitous mask mandates make assent impossible to avoid except by breaking the law or staying home. “The pandemic has receded rapidly, with the number of daily U.S. infections down 88% since its January peak and still declining. Since mid-April vaccines have been available free of charge to any adult in America. Almost 124 million Americans—including more than 47% of adults and nearly 73% of the vulnerable 65-and-over population—have been vaccinated fully. The CDC acknowledges implicitly with its latest guidance that vaccinated people are at trivial risk of contracting the virus or transmitting it to others.” The WSJ claims “All this would be relevant to a court considering a First Amendment challenge to a mask mandate. To defend content-based limits on speech, the government must satisfy a standard known as strict scrutiny. It has three elements, all of which must be met: The government has to demonstrate that the restriction furthers a “compelling interest,” that it is “narrowly tailored” to fulfill its objective, and that it is the “least restrictive means” of doing so. The government undoubtedly has a compelling interest in preventing infectious disease. But that doesn't necessarily imply a compelling need for mask mandates. If it did, they could be justified in perpetuity. Universal masking would reduce spread of the flu, the common cold and other infections, but that has never been thought to justify mandating it except during a pandemic. Widespread vaccination makes mask mandates far too broad to be a properly tailored remedy. Selective enforcement against the unvaccinated is impracticably cumbersome, so authorities have to rely on what CDC Director Rochelle Walensky calls “the honor system”—which presumably is why the CDC hasn't relaxed its own order requiring universal masking in transportation facilities. Many of the relaxed mandates arbitrarily apply to the 32 million Americans with natural immunity from prior infection unless they are also vaccinated. And if selective enforcement were possible, it would compound the First Amendment violation with an intrusion into medical privacy by effectively requiring the disclosure of vaccination status as a condition of going out in public. Joey Dingbats now has a 10-year version of central economic planning. In reality, it is more religious doctrine than it is economic policy because it has to do with a 10-yr plan to drastically reduce CO2 emissions here in the racist, misogynist, polluting US of A. PJ, what percent of global CO2 emissions are generated here in our miserable, horrible country? According to Joe Dementia and the WSJ, “The U.S. accounts for less than 15% of all global CO2 emissions.” “Emissions in the U.S. and Europe have been falling since 2005 as natural gas and renewables have replaced coal power. But rising emissions from China have swamped these declines. At the Paris climate summit in 2015, China committed only to begin reducing emissions in 2030, and it has continued to build coal plants and expand industrial production. China's CO2 emissions increased by more between 2015 and 2018 than the U.K.'s total emissions in 2018. “All of the CO2 commitments made in Paris, including Barack Obama's to reduce U.S. emissions by 26% to 28%, would reduce the Earth's temperature increase by a mere 0.17 degree Celsius by 2100—not even close to the 1.5 degrees that is supposedly needed to head off doomsday. Yet Joey Dingbats now wants to double down on Mr. Obama's futile climate gesture” to a 50% reduction in CO2 by 2030. BTW, the economic cost to achieve the 0.17 degree C reduction in temperature…that's 0.3 deg F would be approx $100 tyn, or 41.6% of the planet's current net worth.  Now PJ, does your thermostat even allow you to turn the temp down by 0.3 deg F? Try that at home folks, and let us know how it works out…at a cost of $100 tyn. The Party of Science and full-blown idiots! The POS! “Amid last year's Covid-19 lockdowns, greenhouse gas emissions fell to about 21% below 2005 levels. In other words, even with the economy shut down and a large share of the population stuck at home, the U.S. was less than halfway (42%) to Mr. Biden's goal. The Biden goal will require the electric grid to be totally rebuilt in 10 years. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, the U.S. will also have to double its share of carbon-free power to 80% from 40% today—half of which is now provided by nuclear—to have any hope of achieving Mr. Biden's pledge. All coal plants would have to shut down, and natural gas plants would be phased into obsolescence. Think of the wasted infra-structure and loss of capital…Wind and solar energy would have to increase six to seven-fold. The Obama Clean Power Plan, which the Supreme Court blocked in 2016, looks modest by comparison. It sought to reduce CO2 power emissions by 32%. Most homes would also have to be electrified. So if you like your gas stove, you won't be able to keep it. Now, what would achieving Biden's climate goals look like in practice? Following is from the May 11 WSJ: “The International Energy Agency, the world's pre-eminent source of energy information for governments, has entered the political debate over whether the U.S. should spend trillions of dollars to accelerate the energy transition favored by Biden. Again, the plan to use far more “clean energy” and far less hydrocarbons—the oil, natural gas and coal that today supply 84% of global energy needs. PJ, do you rmember March 6, 2000? I believe that was the day that the stock market peaked and the .com bubble burst. I remember it really well as it was also the day the Clinton Justice Dept sued Microsoft for some anti-trust action which set-up a cascade of down days in the markets; especially the NASDAQ which dropped from a price level of greater than 5,000 all the way down to around 1,100. That was a grueling 88% decline and was really one of the 2 low points in my life; It became tough to pass open windows…if you know what I mean. Know what else happened in March of 2000 PJ? Stockholdings among U.S. households increased to the highest level on record…dating back to 1952 when such records were first kept. Know what just happened in April PJ? Stockholdings among U.S. households increased to 41% of their total financial assets in April, the highest level on record. That is according to JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Federal Reserve data going back to 1952 and it that includes 401(k) retirement accounts. From what I can tell, the peak in the year 2000 had U.S. households holding about 38% of their total financial assets in stocks, vs 41% today. You know what that is PJ? It's a message from our universe. Now PJ, do you know what M1 is? M1 is the money supply that is composed of physical currency and coin, demand deposits, travelers' checks, other checkable deposits, and negotiable order of withdrawal (NOW) accounts. M2 includes M1 plus so-called “near-money”, which refers to savings deposits, money markets, mutual funds and time deposits like CD's. Now get this: M1 stood at a MERE $4.027 tyn in Feb of last year. What do you suppose it stands at today partner? $18,683,000,000,000. That's a YOY increase in our currency supply of 364%. Standard banking logic has it that investors moved money out of longer-term positions like CD's and mutual funds…part of what we know as M2, and into cash. OK. BUT, M2 rose by 25%. We can dive into banking law, but I would prefer to contemplate what it means when the money supply increases by 25%. I t means assets of all stripes increase in value as more and more people have more and more $$$ in their pockets. I am told my home increased in value by a WHOPPING 35%. The DJIA is up 83% off it's march 23, 2020 low of 18,600. Lumber and grain prices have soared. My point is a simple one to wit, things are starting to get frothy! My strategy is to start selling losers first; sell those stocks and funds that have not outperformed the stock market, even…or especially if you are in love with them. Then start to take profits in your big winners. For my part, I have started to buy private placement preferred stocks INSTEAD of bonds for my clients. NOW, I am not pushing any panic buttons. It is just that I have seen this movie before, and in the end, it can get really, really, scary! We never know what precise trigger will be the catalyst for a selloff. But here is one possible trigger; Tax increases. Stock markets LOVE the free money that has boosted M1 & M2. Stock markets HATE tax increases. President Joe Dementia has proposed that congress increase the capital gains tax on purported millionaires from 23.8% up to 43.4% which would be an 83% increase. Along with that proposal he wants to eliminate the step-up in cost basis in estate assets when somebody dies. With that in mind, I have been talking to my wealthiest clients about selling our best performing stocks IF the Dimms and Joe Dementia get their way. I have for example a client who is up more than 3,900% in his AAPL holding. I have others who are up

While researching today's show PJ, I ran across a poll from a group called “Law Enforcement Today.” This poll was taken on Feb 25 this year; less than 2 months ago. In the poll, they asked how the respondents viewed themselves ploitically. The choices were: Very Liberal Liberal Moderate Conservative & Very Conservative. Then they asked respondents in each group how many unarmed blacks were killed by cops in 2019. The answer runs from 9-27, depending on the website or news show you visit or watch. The most common answer is 19, so I'll go with that. 19 so-called unarmed blacks killed by police in 2019. THEN, they asked respondents simply “How many unarmed black Americans were shot by police in 2019? Very Liberal:      53% said more than 1,000                              22% said more than 10,000 Just Liberal:       39% 1,000 or more. You see folks…this is what we are dealing with; people who know NOTHING…Complete dipshits who are willfully and dogmatically ignorant….about everything. Yet they are absolutely certain they are right…about all things…because they choose their “truth over actual facts.” And we are supposed to listen to these idiots and subscribe to their truths, regardless of how specious they are, otherwise we are racist, misogynist, deniers. Btw, only 13% of self-identified conservatives in the poll said 1,000 or more unarmed blacks were killed by cops in 2019. Proving once again that it we who are the informed group. THE WAR ON SANITY: With all of that in mind, I want to start off by addressing this ridiculous push by the socialists to insist that if you are white, that you are a racist, and that our whole society is in fact built around the concept of denying black people the ability to climb the American ladder of prosperity. I mean…that's why you wake up every morning isn't it PJ….to deny blacks their civil rights, huh??? Understand that the #1, founding principle of the neo-liberal movement was the eradication of racism…which was certainly a good and noble cause, and by and large has been accomplished. Don't believe me…then I give you as exhibit #1 Barrack Hussein Obama; a black man who was elected to our highest office…twice. Neo-liberals created a monster when they created the welfare state via the so-called “War On Poverty” on January 8, 1964; when Lyndon Johnson stated that "Our aim is not only to relieve the symptom of poverty, but to cure it and, above all, to prevent it". When in fact, he guaranteed it…poverty.. to continue into perpetuity. The so-called War on Poverty really turned out to be the War On Sanity, as the implied guarantee was that the state could…and in fact should…replace the father as head of household. If any of this sounds familiar, it's because we covered this topic in detail on our second podcast. I just wanted to add some thoughts, and understand folks that for the last 12 yrs I have re-visited this inane topic about every 6 months due to national headline events. Hey PJ, we have some new hats and a new bumper sticker. The bumper sticker reads “Revoke The walking Woke.” PLS email us if you want a hat or a bumper sticker…remember the original bumper sticker for our show reads “Phock Your Face Mask” We promised last week we would discuss the new Georgia state election laws, which the left is lying about at every turn to promote HR 1., which Lyin' Joe Biden referred to as “un-American,” “sick,” “pernicious,” and worse: “This makes Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle. ” WSJ: “Georgia's new law leaves in place Sunday voting, a point of contention with earlier proposals, given that black churches have a “souls to the polls” tradition after services. The Legislature, rather, decided to expand weekend early voting statewide, by requiring two Saturdays instead of only one under current law. In total, Georgia offers three weeks of early voting, which began last year on Oct. 12. This is not exactly restrictive: Compare that with early voting that started Oct. 24 last year in New York.” “The new law also leaves in place no-excuses absentee voting. Every eligible Georgia voter will continue to be allowed to request a mail ballot for the sake of simple convenience—or for no reason at all. Again, this is hardly restrictive: More than a dozen states, including Connecticut and Delaware, require mail voters to give a valid excuse.” So what does the Georgia law do? First, it gets rid of signature matching, so election workers aren't trying to verify mail ballots by comparing John Hancocks. This subjective process should concern both sides. It creates avenues for contested outcomes, with fighting over ambiguous signatures. In 2018 about 2,400 ballots in Georgia were rejected for issues with the signature or oath, according to a recent paper in Political Research Quarterly. Those voters were 54% black.” “Instead of signature matching, voters will submit a state ID number (SS no., Driver's license, or one assigned by the precinct) with their mail ballots or applications. This way there's no arguing over handwriting: The ID number either matches or it doesn't. Georgians who vote in person are already asked to show identification. Anyone who lacks an ID can get one for free.” Much hay is being made about a provision that prevents third parties from giving gifts, including “food and drink” to those standing in line at the polls. But the point is to prevent activists from showing up in union shirts—or National Rifle Association shirts, for that matter—and passing out drinks and snacks, with some subtle electioneering thrown in. As for the genuinely thirsty, the new law specifically allows poll workers to provide “self-service water from an unattended receptacle.” Also, the legislation recognizes that it's a failure if voters stand in line long enough to get parched. That's why it says wait times at large precincts must be measured three times throughout Election Day. If the line hits an hour, changes are required before the next election. The law makes ballot drop boxes a permanent part of Georgia's voting architecture. The terms are tighter than they were during last year's pandemic emergency, but how is it part of “Jim Crow 2.0” to give absentee voters more options than they had 2 years ago in 2019? The legislation also says applications for mail ballots are due 11 days before the election, instead of four days. If that's racist, so is the U.S. Postal Service, which urges voters to allow 15 days for two-way delivery. And of course, Georgia joined 35 other states that now require identification to vote in person, including Delaware & Colorado. Illiberals claim that many of their black voters are incapable of attaining...

Hey PJ, did you know that the demented Joe Biden was the only person in the W/H who hid his own Easter Eggs? A new Rasmussen Poll Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 64% of Likely U.S. Voters say it is not possible to completely prevent mass shootings like the ones in Atlanta, Georgia, and Boulder, Colorado. Only 23% believe mass shootings can be completely prevented, while 13% are not sure. BUT, they will make a run at our guns! History of the Filibuster: PJ, what article of the constitution created the filibuster? Article 1 created the House and the Senate…but the filibuster wasn't created until 1837. As a refresher, the filibuster is intended to slow down legislation in the Senate…the so-called world's most deliberative legislative body. When the founders devised our bicameral legislative body, they didn't make much of any kind of differentiation between rules in the House and the Senate. The primary difference at the time was the length of service; the House was intended to address fervors, fevers & the madness & issues of importance of the day, and hence representatives only serve a 2 yr term. “George Washington is said to have told Jefferson that the framers had created the Senate to "cool" House legislation just as a saucer was used to cool hot tea.”  The Senate was intended to be less reactive than the House which is why senators serve 6-yr terms. The House and Senate rulebooks in 1789 were nearly identical. Both rulebooks included what is known as the “previous question” motion. The House kept their motion, and today it empowers a simple majority to cut off debate. (REPEAT). The Senate no longer has that rule on its books. It has the filibuster instead. The filibuster was started in 1837 when Senate allies of Democrat President Andrew Jackson attempted to remove a Senate Censure of Jackson for his role in attempting to partially defund The Bank Of The United States of Gov't $$$. Essentially, a group of senators threatened to speak all day, for every Senate session unless Jackson's allies relented. And so it began. There was no way to end a filibuster until 1917 when the Senate adopted a super-majority rule that required 67 votes to bring an end to any filibuster….which is called cloture. (arming merchant ships with weapons). That rule was amended in 1975 when the Senate reduced the required majority to 60 senators to bring cloture to a filibuster. Essentially, the filibuster guarantees that the minority party will be heard. Now our friends…the Dimms…are attempting to eliminate the filibuster to create a $15/hr minimum wage, to make Puerto Rico and Wash DC states, to confiscate certain weapons from law abiding citizens, to federalize elections making it easier to cheat, and on and on and on. The Dimms claim that the filibuster is racist because during the debate over passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, 19 senators filibustered the bill for 72 days. The 19 broke into 5 groups of 3…and a 6th group of 4 senators. Each group was assigned a day of the week to take the dias and to speak for hours and hours. Now here's something the left-wing-nut media will never tell you; 18/19 of those filibustering senators were….democrats. The 19th was republican John Tower of Texas. Now PJ, I'm not really good at math, but that means that 94.7% of the gentlemen who filibustered the 1964 CRA were….wait for it…democrats. One last point; prior to the Trump presidency, the filibuster had been used precisely 244 times. During the 4 yrs of Trump…how many times did the democrats use...

Hello folks, and welcome back to In My Right Mind. This is the grandiloquent Russ Andrews along the ever-loquacious PJ Jaycox. Have you missed me buddy? My whole family travelled to New Orleans for 9 days to witness the marriage of my son Dalton to the beautiful Jenny Hathaway…or Jenny Andrews, now. I hosted a crab feast one night, and a $400 crawfish boil the nite before the wedding. The wedding was beautiful, with the lone exception being my speech/toast/roast which I should have spent more time editing…so I'm told. On Saturday after the wedding about 50 of us wandered down to Bourbon Street, which really isn't my thing; I'm guessing that about 1/5 of the people there are mere predators. Three people who don't spend much time in such environs had their wallets stolen. Piece of advice: when in large crowds or foreign places like that, I ALWAYS carry my valuables in my front pockets. Because of our anatomies, that area of our bodies….at least for males and females…is generally more sensitive than is the area around rear pockets. Now if you self-identify as one of the OTHER 62 genders the POS, or the Party Of Science has discovered, well, sorry, but this show is really just for…..men and women. There had been no live music for exactly one whole year. The place was rocking, and my wife Lori made the observation that America is open for business! After taking off for two blissful weeks, where do we possibly begin PJ?   The so-called $timulus is a good place.  I have often talked about the Magic Multiplier effect of government spending on the radio, and I know we spent the better part of a podcast covering magic $$$.  The Obamatron-neo-keynsians often claimed that every dollar spoent by the gov't increased economic output by $1.50. The dimm-witted Nancy pelosi…(could I have anooother scotch pls) claimed back on 2009 that every dollar the gov't spends creates $1.72 in GDP. BUT, not so fast. My three favorite economists are in order; Brian Wesbury from FT in Chicago, Dr. Robert Barro from Haaavaard, and Dr John taylor from Stanford. To varying degrees, all 3 have shown that when the gov't spends a dollar, we get LESS than one dollar in economic output.  This is a little bit of inside baseball stuff on economics, but I believe it is germane to this discussion. Most people believe that economic output is the same as gross domestic product…or GDP. Sorry Grandma GooGoo, aka Nancy Pelosi…but you are mistaken. Simply put, GDP is a measure of value added at the national level: When a furniture manufacturer buys wood from a saw mill for $100 and adds value to it by producing a piece of furniture which is then sold for $400. Economic output would total $400—the value of all sales in the chain of activity. The value of the wood is therefore counted twice—once as an intermediate good for the furniture manufacturer and again in the value of the furniture. Value added focuses only on additional value of goods and services produced, thus is defined as economic output less intermediate inputs. That is, Value added = Gross Output – Intermediate Inputs. The value added in the previous example totals only $300 (as opposed to $400 economic output). This is because value added subtracts the sale of the purchased wood (intermediate input) of $100 from the total sales price of $400, resulting in value added of $300, or $300 added to GDP. In any event, Dr Barro has shown that when the government spends a buck for WARTIME purchases, the economic output is about 80 cents. In other words, 20 cents is lost in the ether. He has gone on to show that when the gov't spends a dollar in peacetime, the economic output is around 14 cents; for a loss of 86 cents. Hey PJ, why did the Mexicans only bring 2,000 soldiers to the Alamo? They only had 4 cars. Thats an old joke folks that found its way into a human-crisis-reality show this week when an SUV loaded w/ more than 2 dozen illegals… crashed into an 18-wheeler carrying gravel, killing some 13 people. Their deaths fall squarely on Creepy Joe Biden's shoulders, as he has explicitly invited hundreds of thousands of humans to illegally cross our southern border. But…I doubt the senile, old fool even knows about this incident. We learned 2 days ago that 108 illegals have been sent via buses to America's heartland who were Covid positive at the time. And that was from just a single detention center in Brownsville TX. The city of Brownsville administers these rapid tests at the bus station, after migrant families are released by the Border Patrol. A spokesperson for Brownsville confirmed that, since they began doing these tests Jan. 25, 108 migrants have tested positive for Covid-19, which is 6.3 percent of those who took the test. 6.3%...that's more than 1/16 who are spreading the virus willy-nilly thanks to a demented fool in the Oval Office. How many detention centers…or jails as detentionwatchnetwork.org refers to them are there PJ? According to detentionwatchnetwork.org, ICE operates over 200 JAILS…or detention centers for people whose first act in their new country was to break our laws. So, if 108 Covid positive, illegal immigrants were dispersed from just 1/200 JAILS, shouldn't simple math suggest that 108 x 200 =more than 21,000 Covid positive illegals have been sent forth into our heartland to be fruitful and to multiply. And that's just since Jan 25. YEP make certain you wear that mask folks. Remember, Health Affairs Magazine in a study they conducted, determined that wearing masks reduces infections by a WHOPPING…a WHOPPING 2%. Oh… I need to digress for a moment partner. I need for everyone listening to understand that I refuse to be lectured to or intimidated by simpleton, thought-challenged, neo-liberal scum. SO, I was skiing at Snowmass yesterday afternoon. I am 63 yrs old, and sometimes when I need to urinate it is UUUURGENT. I was meeting up w/ 2 ski buddies at a restaurant called Up For Pizza. When I got outside the mens room at the restaurant…I was in a HURRRY! I rushed in and saw two guys waiting for the 2 restrooms to vacate. They both had N-95 masks on. The older of the 2 went to the bathroom…and mercifully was done in about 90 seconds. Keep in mind that I am…and always have been slightly hard of hearing. So… this clown comes out, and as he walks by me he asks if I am from Texas, to which I replied no. Then he uttered something I didn't catch…until I walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror and realized that in my haste, I had forgotten to pull my face mask up. Then it dawned on me what the nasty little creep w/ the N 95 mask had said; He told me that “If I don't want to wear a mask that I should move to Texas.” I stormed out of the bathroom, went up to his table…outside… on a perfect bluebird day, and told this clown that I had to go so bad that I forgot to pull up my mask…to which his wife screamed that I still wasn't wearing a mask. I looked at both of them and told them that A.)  There is no outdoor mask mandate in our state, because the virus dies within 20 seconds when exposed to direct sunlight at 11,000 ft above sea level, and that B.)   Their N-95 masks do nothing to protect the public from them…but instead protect them from us…so if they are so public-minded, then why were they wearing them, and C.)   That I had been vaccinated way back in September, and that...

Last week we spoke about El Rushbo and what he meant to us PJ. A listener and good friend of mine named Brad texted me to tell me he loves our show. But that he leaves our show in a pissed-off mood. Which is the exact opposite way that Rush left his listeners. Rush was the ultimate optimist…and so am I. But some of what the left is doing just drives me insane. And we are NOT Rush. There will never be another El Rushbo. BUT, we will endeavor to end the show on a positive note. Thanks Brad C!     The National Association of Realtors reported that homes put up for sale in January 2021 typically remained on the market for just 21 days, down from 43 days a year ago, according to CNN. Housing inventory stood at a record low of 1.04 million units at the end of January, down 26% from a year ago. The median sales price of existing homes rose to $303,900, up 14% from a year ago. FTP 2/23/21     The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)announced that U.S. commercial banks and savings institutions insured by theFDIC reported aggregate net income totaling $59.9 billion in Q4'20, up $8.7billion (17.0%) from Q3'20 and up $5.0 billion (9.1%) from Q4'19, according toits own release.  The FDIC noted that net interest margin stood at an all-timelow of 2.68% in the quarter, no change from the previous quarter. The historical average is 3.55%. Community banks reported net income totaling $1.3billion in Q4'20, up 21.2% from Q4'19. PPP. The number of institutions on the FDIC'slist of "problem banks" stood at 56 in Q4'20. The post-crisis highfor the list was 888 in Q1'11. FTPortfolios 2/24/21       FIGHT FOR $15: From Forbes Two weeks ago we mentioned the minimum wage partner..and I claimed that many union contracts are tied…or are indexed to the minimum wage. I wanted to verify that statement, so I did some digging. Apparently, there at least 2 ways unions profit from minimum wage increases. The first is that so many union contracts are INDEED indexed to the minimum wage   Traditionally, unions have supported minimum wage initiatives because their contracts have been directly or indirectly tied to the minimum wage. For instance, a UNITE contract that covered workers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Jersey said the following: "Whenever the federal legal minimum wage is increased, minimum wage [in the agreement] shall be increased so that each will be at least fifteen (15%) percent higher than such legal minimum wage.”   Contracts for Cal Fire Local 2881, which represents 6,000 California firefighters, and UFCW Local 1099's agreement with CVS have had similar stipulations. Other contracts, such as those signed by Retail, Wholesale, & Chain Store Food Employees Union Local 338 and UFCW 1262, also stipulated that minimum wage increases trigger an automatic return to the bargaining table, where new -- usually higher -- compensation is negotiated. The WSJ reported back in 2013 that the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union says that pegging its wages to the federal minimum is commonplace. The second way unions profit from minimum wages increases is that often times union jobs are actually EXEMPTED from minimum wage laws to make their lower paid workers more competetive vs non-union, min wage workers. The Forbes article detailed that in LA, Sheraton Universal Hotel employees, which are unionized, were paid California's minimum wage of $10, but at the Hilton Hotel across the street non-unionized employees made $15.37 under the city's hotel minimum wage law, making the union jobs the go-to choice for employers. Why do democrats support higher minimum wages that increase labor costs, but benefit...

My first taste of radio was a 60 sec recorded market update at 3PM on WILM in Wilm De. which was sandwiched into a 3 minute local inventory spot during Rush's show. I had to do the spot live a couple of times…and I was TERRIFIED! Because of his optimism, I followed Rush's advice to live where I wanted to live and to do what made me happy for a living. So I am a financial adviser in Aspen, Co. Then of course there was 10 years of 1 ½ radio shows with Captain Cancel, aka david Bach on KNFO, which is why this podcast exists. I never would have considered doing that show if weren't for the precedent Rush made. So I owe a LOT to El Rushbo! Dennis Prager figures that Rush has approx 24,000 broadcast hours on the books. Keep in mind folks…he was also deaf! Now a note from the little people: aka the NYT's Jeremy W Peters: “Weaponizing conspiracy theories and bigotry long before Donald Trump's ascent, the radio giant helped usher in the political style that came to dominate the Republican Party.  Peters went on to say that Rush was a racist, a bigot, and a misogynist. One last shot after the guy died. If I could, I would love to grab this Peters by the neck, drag the toilet bug to Central Park, and rub it's nose in the first pile of steaming hot dog shit I could find. The reason the left hated Rush is because he had their number…as do I. TAIWAN: In our Podcast #4, we discussed the possibility of an evermore-aggressive China invading and capturing Taiwan; a nation of just 24 myn people. Keep in mind that Taiwan is only 81 miles from the coast of China, and that the Chinese commie military is the world's 2nd largest with 2.8 myn active duty personnel. China also has the world's largest navy w/: Aircraft carriers – 2 Cruisers – 1 Destroyers – 32 Frigates – 49 Corvettes – 37 (coastal patrol craft) Amphibious transports – 37 IMPORTANT Medium landing ships – 21 ALSO IMPORTANT Diesel attack submarines – 46 Nuclear attack submarines – 6 Ballistic missile submarines – 4 Coastal patrol (missile) – 86 Now there is a MASSIVE, world-wide computer chip shortage.  Ford announced 2 weeks ago they are cutting F150 production for lack of chips.  Taiwan manufactures 50% of all computer chips made in the world. China…only fashions 16% of all of the chips they use for domestic use and for products they export. China spends $228 byn/yr IMPORTING chips. The rub is that it takes years of expertise needed to build a state-of-the-art FAB, or fabrication foundry to produce computer chips. China can't just build fabs…they don't have the expertise. China has viewed Taiwan (which WAS Formosa)  as a rogue state since Mao ran all freedom-loving people out of China way back in April of 1949… in what is known as The Great Retreat. China spends $177 byn/yr funding their massive military, which represents 5.2% of all of their federal spending. 5.2% of China's federal budget goes to the military; but 6.7% ($228 byn) of all Chinese federal spending, is spent on buying computer chips from foreign...

Their insistance that an economic system that is run by the federal gov't from a centralized location 1000's of miles from where many of it's citizens live, administered by people who have never run anything, much less a business, with an emphasis on political patronage to donors and friends vs on products and profits is more efficient than a system that functions based upon the needs of consumers, which rewards risk-takers who innovate and create and produce products that make our lives longer, healthier and happier. (a system that has failed everywhere it has been implemented). Their lies have been force-fed down the throats of unsuspecting Americans by the left-wing-nut-media…or the so-called 4th estate, their lies have been shoved down our vulnerable kids throats in K-12 & College indoctrination camps, in movies and television shows, and of course on so-called social media. So let's flesh this stuff out PJ.   SOCIAL JUSTICE: We have discussed the root causes of black poverty and it's associated crime on several podcasts, so let's just do a quick review.     Podcast #11   Covid Cases Are Down more than 20% since their peak in the first week of January…which was also 1-2 weeks after the holidays when many of us travelled to be with our families. As of Wednesday, Jan 27th, 25.6 myn vaccine doses had been administered here in the U.S. 82.5 myn doses have been administered in 59 countries worldwide, which means that we Americans who represent 4.3% of the planet's population have received 31% of all vaccine doses, or more than 7x the per capita amount of our population vs the total population of the planet. Yeah, Trump did a horrible job. Americans have received more than 7x as many doses/capita than the rest of the world. PJ, did you catch Creepy, lying Joe Biden claim he inherited a mess regarding the vaccine rollout? What a stinking, rotten, liar!   According to the CDC and First Trust Advisors, as of Jan 20th, we had achieved 38% herd immunity. The Fauch….who by the way…is the highest paid federal employee at $417k/yr…(the president only earns $400k)…the Fauch, who by my estimation is a buffoon…has stated that we need a herd immunity as high as 90% to defeat the Chinese bat-shit fever. That implies that the R/0 of Covid is 10, which means that on avg, every person who catches Covid, infects 10 other people. The highest known R/0 of any known virus is measles at 12. An R/0 of 10 would make the Chinese Flu the second most contagious virus known to mankind. Thank you Chairman Xi!   The formula for Herd Immunity is simple… HI=1-(1/R/0). IF…and it's a BIG IF the R/0 is 10, then Herd immunity would be acquired if 90% of our population (HI=1-1/10) has convalescent antibodies, ie they had Covid and have recovered and/or received a vaccine.   I suspect, from everything I have read, that the R/0 is closer to 4, which means herd immunity will be achieved when 75% of us have recovered from the virus and or have been vaccinated. Now, if you are an investor, this is REALLY important. We are administering 1.25 myn doses per day; half of which are second shots. That means we are fully vaccinating about 625,000 per day. Every month, we are adding 19,000,000 people to the list of those with full antibodies…. Plus all of those who recovered from Covid during that month. 19,000,000 complete vaccinations per month equals about 6% of our population.   So, by the end of February, about 46% of us will have antibodies…PLUS the addition of those who recover from the virus between now and Feb 28th. Let's say, for the sake of argument that about 2% of the population recovers every month; that is on the conservative side, as it appears that about 3.5% of the population has contracted and defeated the virus every month.  But…let's use the number of 8%/month of the population that gains immunity every month. That means by the end of March, we should have 54% herd immunity. By the end of April, we should be up to 62% By the end of May, we should be around 70% immunity. Before the end of June, we should reach full herd immunity…so, plan accordingly. Things will start-up slowly; I suspect the first cruise ships to dis-embark ports w/ paying passengers won't be full….but will start to fill-up as the months drag on. Same goes for airliners, restaurants and hotels. Understand that the stock market is the greatest discounting mechanism in the world…which simply means that equity investors look 6-9 months out into the future, and try to buy stocks before the herd figures out what is going on. So, cruise lines, airlines, hotels and restaurants should start to pick-up steam by the middle of summer…or about 6 months from now…as long as vaccine distribution continues to stay on track. Novavax announced its vaccine is 89.3% effective. JNJ announced this AM that it's single dose vaccine is 66% effective, while AZN announced it is experiencing vaccine...

    Podcast #10 Censorship, Deprogramming and Cost of Paris Accord Welcome back to In My Right Mind again folks. As always, I am the liberty-loving Russ Andrews, here with my good friend PJ Jaycox. How goes it PJ?   First, here is a prediction: Ever notice how MSNBC and CNN keep a ticker on their tv screens showing the number og Covid cases and Covid deaths? I predict now that Biden is in office, they will start tracking the number of vaccine doses that have been administered…as long as that news is POSITIVE for the Biden administration.   Before we get going on this week's material, I want to go back and cover some short topics we didn't get to last week PJ. First, did you hear about how the democrats want UNITY, PJ? That's ….that's..why they impeached Trump for a second time w/7 days left in his presidency. Because they want UNITY! Sure they want “unity” which means the rest of us need to “unite” around one point of view. You need to understand conniving, manipulative, lefty-speak to understand what they really mean by UNITY. They want to UNIFY…their power and control over us. That's the only UNITY these people want. And they want us to ENDORSE that unification of power and control over us…not just tolerate it…..but endorse it.   BTW, these are words from Creepy Joe's Inauguration speech: “Our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal that we all are created equal, and the harsh ugly reality that racism, nativism, fear, demonization have long torn us apart.” As the WSJ put it: “So our political differences are between those who believe in American ideals and those who are racists and nativists? This sounds too much like Barack Obama's habit of casting differences of ideology or policy as divisions between enlightenment and bigotry.”    I know I hit on this concept last week, but I believe it bears repeating; how will you be voting on the confirmation of Joe Biden's far left cabinet picks PJ?  Of course you won't be voting on cabinet picks…because we live in a Constitutional Republic…not a democracy. In a democracy, citizens are encouraged to vote almost daily on new laws and regulations. In a democracy, 50.01% of us could wake up one day and decide to vote you,…. PJ out of your house and home, ….and we could likewise vote to confiscate all of your assets.   On the other hand, OUR constitution protects the individual from the state, which is precisely why socialist democrats despise it. The Constitution protects our speech from being condemned by the government. The Constitution enshrines our right to self-defense and, more importantly, wrote the 2nd Amendment to allow us, in the WORST-CASE SCENARIO, to battle tyranny, if and when it occurs. So there. We live under the protection of a Constitutional Republic, and we elect REPRESENTATIVES to vote FOR us.  We DO NOT live in a DEMOCRACY!     Tucker carlson and others predicted the left would use the siege on the capitol to clamp down on conservative free speech. And so it began as early as 2 weekends ago.     Capitalism and the Human Condition  Mask War Update: I was standing in line at the Sam's Knob lift w/ a good friend called Mike last Friday w/ one of my balaclavas on, which only covers my mouth. I can pull it up over my nose but it inevitably slips down off of my nose within about a minute. Some woman was 8'-10' in front of us standing to my right w/ her ski instructor to her left. She looks back at me and Mike, whose nose was also showing, and snarled… “could I ask you to pull your masks up over your noses?” I said “sure…you can ask us anything.”   See, it turns out she wasn't actually ASKING diddly squat. She was demanding, and the way she implored it kind of pissed both of us off. So we…that's Mike and I…. proceeded to discuss the efficacy of masks w/ each other in a way she could easily hear. Because we were outside, I reminded Mike that the virus dies in direct sunlight within 30 seconds (probably less at altitude), and that according to the venerable WSJ, masks reduce Covid infections by a mere 2%...not 98%... but 2%. Then our conversation naturally turned virtue signaling, which of course is what motivates most masketeers to mask-up in the first place, and then proceed to scold the rest of us rapscallion-scofflaws for not following their rules.   Again, had she been a little nicer about it, I would have happily complied. But instead, she chose to bark at us…which didn't sit well.   I think I mentioned she might consider going back to NJ or wherever she crawled here from. After a huff and a puff, she moved about 12'-14' away. Not far enough lady!! Not far enough at all! Our oldest daughter lives with us, and got a Covid test 2 weeks ago tomorrow. She was positive. Her fiancé also got sick. But Lori and I were and have been fine. ZERO symptoms!   Which of course brings me to the vaccines. As you all know, I am 99.999% certain that I have been vaccinated as part of the Moderna 1273-P301 trial. And my wife clearly has Covid antibodoies. So my question is a simple one to wit: why do we need to wear masks at all, and when May and June roll around …and nearly half the population HAS been vaccinated…. will we all be required to virtue signal like the nasty fusspot in the lift line demanded? In other words, when will the masking-up end and how?   Which of course, brings me to a business opportunity. Shouldn't the vaccinated be given a bunch of stickers, or some pins to wear, to inform the world they are safe from Covid?? Kind of like the “I Voted” stickers people wear around election day? Something to think about for you young entrepreneurs out there.   A couple of weeks ago I mentioned the possibility of Creepy Joe Biden recalling the vaccines for further safety studies. Understand folks that when the vaccines hit the market in a large way, they will end the lockdowns. These miserable blue-state governors and mayors who have become household names, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the newfound powers they have ascribed to themselves. Therefore, the vaccines represent a threat to their power. Here's a scenario I can easily envision playing out: If you listened to our podcast wherein I discussed my robust immune response to my vaccine injections, I will just remind you; it was no walk in the park. I was pretty sick for about 36 hours after the second shot.   Now, try to visualize a 95-year old gray,… sick, …emphysema patient laying in his nursing home bed, sucking on oxygen. The poor guy has 1 foot in the grave, and the other foot on a banana peel. Some nurse comes along to give this guy his second jab, and the next day he dies from his own intense immune response. Wash, rinse, repeat across the country, and maybe 50-100 old guys end up crossing the River Styx.   Boom! That's all the media...

    Podcast #5: Socialism Sucks: Welcome back my friends to In My Right Mind where we value both truth AND facts. My name is Atilla the Hun aka Russ Andrews and as always I am joined by my good friend, PJ Jaycox. Good morning PJ. How goes it?   Today we are going to discuss capitalism vs socialism. While researching this show PJ I discovered that an astounding 70% of millennials prefer socialism over capitalism which of course speaks to the indoctrination our kids have been subjected to by so-called teachers and professors who have never actually produced anything nor created a single job in their lives.   Remember it was Nikita Khrushchev who predicted way back in 1956 that “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within....” And to quote one of our weakest presidents in U.S. history: “Mission accomplished.” Well, I have news for little Johnny and Little Suzie: Socialism Sucks. Socialism sucks the life out of cultures and economies, and in the end, socialism sucks the life out of mankind. The single greatest threat to mankind isn't nuclear power or nuclear weapons. It isn't the Global Warming Hoax. It isn't terrorism. It ain't even an alien invasion. It is socialism.  And I characterize socialism like doctors characterize cancer; in four stages, which is a topic for another show. Suffice it to say that Singapore is the world's free-ist country at Stage 1, whereas North Korea is the least free at Stage 4.   I am 63 yrs old, and every single day it becomes more and more apparent to me that we aren't here for very long, which is to say that if we are to contribute to the betterment of humanity, or the improvement of the human condition by inventing products, or stuff that helps people live longer, healthier, happier, more productive lives, we don't have much time with which to do it. To lift and tailor a line from Pink Floyd, we all should strive to put another, or our own…. brick in the wall.   Socialism has given us the likes of Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba, China, the Soviet Union and even Europe, where very little gets accomplished in the way of advancing and enriching the human condition. Socialism invariably gets packaged by the toilet bugs that advocate for it as some form of “social justice” wherein pinko-collectivist politicians identify, invent, and imagine groups of victims that need to be rescued from what is characterized, by them as a male dominated patriarchy, or some other group that the trotskyites convince the masses has ridden roughshod over them simply to enrich themselves.   Here are some quotes from prominent socialists throughout history: ·         Let's start with everybody's favorite socialist, Adolf Hitler and his NAZI, or National Socialist German Worker's Party. And don't EVER let anybody tell you Hitler and his NAZI's weren't socialist; it's right in their name; National Socialist German Worker's Party. Europe in general, and Hitler specifically were highly anti-semetic. Hitler blamed the loss of WW1 on jews, and found them to be a convenient scapegoat for Germany's horrible post WW1 financial condition. Here's a nice quote from a nasty socialist:   ·         “For us, this is a problem of whether our nation can ever recover its health, whether the Jewish spirit can ever really be eradicated. Don't be misled into thinking you can fight a disease without killing the carrier, without destroying the bacillus. Don't think you can fight racial tuberculosis without taking care to rid the nation of the carrier of that racial tuberculosis. This Jewish contamination will not subside, this poisoning of the nation will not end, until the carrier himself, the Jew, has been banished from...

Thank you all, and again, if you like what you hear, PLEASE tell a friend to tune into In My Right Mind!   Before we get started PJ, what do you notice when you see people walking down the streets of NYC? They are all wearing masks, right? The virtue-signalling left insists that masks stop the spreasd of “THE VIRUS”. If all New Yorkers are wearing masks, then how are they still getting sick? Let me remind you folks that 3 weeks ago the WSJ reported that masks reduce Covid infections by a whopping 2%.    PJ, WHAT WAS THE SINGLE BEST INVESTMENT OF THE DECADE? Here's a hint: the initial investment cost, from what I can discern, was about $126 myn. Any ideas? Here's another hint: this investment was made by the Chinese Commie Party over the course of about 7 years.   You see PJ, I am STUNNED at how little money it took to BUY a U.S. presidential administration.     I skimmed thru the senate report on Biden corruption and it is filled with muddied waters, weird wire transfers, dozens and dozens of LLC's and scores CCP companies and principals. My main takeaway is this: the Biden corruption waters are muddier than Act Blue's fund raising efforts for BLM, Inc. and the Democrat Party. You might remember we talked about the tangled web of interaction between BLM inc and Act Blue a couple of weeks ago. Let's look at the numbers on Chinese remittances to the Biden family: Most recently China Energy Co CEFC gave $10 myn to Hunter Biden & his pals, ostensibly to run a U.S susidiary of CEFC. Hunter Biden had $5 myn of that wired to his bank account.   Along with the CEFC bribe, Hunter Biden and his amigos have run a hedge fund since 2014. I doubt any of them knows the symbol for lets say…IBM…which is, of course… IBM. But somehow they run a hedge fund, and from what I can discern, Hunter owns about 10% of that fund Most hedge funds charge 2%/20% to run money. Typically, they take 2% of the assets they manage at the beginning of every year, and they take 20% of all returns above 10%.  IF Hunter's hedge fund…let's call it Crack Pipe Simoleans…runs $1.5 byn for the CCP as reported by Peter Schweizer, that means the fund earns some $30 myn/yr of which Hunter and his family take $3 myn/yr. Seven years earns him $21 myn, assuming the fund never earned more than 10% in any given year, in which case Hunter & Co would have earned more. But I HIGHLY doubt Hunter's Crack Pipe hedge fund ever earned any actual money. In fact, given the IQ levels of these clowns, I suspect they did nothing but lose money. That's just my guess. But it is an educated given that I have run money for more than 33 years and it is not something you pick-up on the fly.   AND, I am certain the CCP understood that Hunter & Co didn't know how to run money. If I was the Chinese Commie placed in charge of monitoring the investments made by Crack Pipe Simoleans I would have placed a collar on the $1.5 byn, limiting losses to say, $100 myn.  Explain a collar: sell calls in the market that obligate you to sell your holdings at a higher price if your...

    Podcast #1: This is our very first 30 minute pocast folks, so welcome. My name is Russ Andrews. I have a B.E.M.E. from SUNY Maritime College, I am a financial adviser, and I have a lot of outdoor hobbies such as golf, skiing, hunting and hiking. This and every podcast will be an extension of my weekly radio shows, which will allow us to dig deeper into topics that are germain to your financial portfolio, and that include how politics and legislation affects your finances, your taxes, and your liberty and your freedoms. My partner in this endeavor is my long time friend and local radio personality PJ Jaycox. Why don't you tell our very first audience a little about yourself PJ. Today happens to be election day, 2020. I want to briefly discuss Form vs Function. This is important insight that really exemplifies how modern politics work; how people think! As an engineer, I have been trained to judge stuff based on whether and how it works; whether it is efficient and safe and does the job it was built to tackle.  How things look, sound and make me feel are at best secondary and tertiary concerns for me.  So when president Donald J Trump tweets out some nasty message impugning those who disagree with him on, lets say, reducing taxes, I couldn't care less how it sounds to me.  I DO care whether it will put more money in my pocket and accelerate economic growth (which tax cuts always do BTW).  And, I am a conservative. We conservatives value “FUNCTION” over “FORM”.  REPEAT. And we rapscallions who actually think for ourselves vote for people like Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump. On the other side of the coin are people who value words. They value what people SAY, HOW they say it, and how that makes them feel, regardless of whether or not those words are of any use; regardless of whatever policy proposal being spoken about actually works.  I give you the welfare state, Obamacare, Red Energy, socialism, BLM, inc, ANTIFA, and the Global Warming Hoax; all stuff that makes neo-liberals feel warm and fuzzy all over but are of little use in the real world.  People that value how things look and sound over whether or not they actually work typically suck at math and logic.  Many of them have been indoctrinated at America's so-called “most prestigious universities” where they were taught WHAT to think vs HOW to think, which prohibits them from organizing and analyzing facts in any way that would allow them to draw substantive conclusions. These people call themselves “liberals” which is a UUUUGE misnomer. The word liberal was first used to describe people like PJ and me; we advocate for low taxes, freedom and liberty, property rights and a light gov't regulatory touch.  NEW or NEO liberals are opposed to everything we stand for; they want us (but not them) to pay higher taxes, they usurp our freedoms and liberties by packing courts with judges that believe it is their right to legislate from the bench, they try to commandeer our income and property rights, and they payback their supporters in the legal profession with a massive regulatory state. These self-described compassionate folks vote for charlatans like Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Joe Biden. Anyway, I digress.
