Well here were are folks. Please join me in welcoming back my brother Mike to the podcast. Was he banned? I am going to go on record and say "no." Regardless of the reason, we have another special edition of the podcast for you today. Today Mike and I will be discussing our experience with the sequel to the hugely popular video game Jedi Fallen order. I have said it before and I will say it again. I was so wrong for not playing the game upon release. As I write this I am trying to come up with a reason why not. The only thing that comes to mind is Cal Kestis. In my mind, I backburnered the game because I did not know the characters and did not want to get the know them. Either, I thought they were somehow related to Clone Wars or Rebels and did not think either of those shows were for me at the time. I was wrong. Having spent almost eighty hours with Cal, Greeze, BD-1, Merrin, and Cere, their second adventure far exceeds their first in almost every way. The gameplay was not so much an improvement but, expansion on the mechanics that were already good. In the previous game you have double bladed detachable lightsaber. The natural expansion of the combat system would be to allow Cal to wield dual sabers independently. The developers at Respawn did just that. What about a cross-guard saber like Kylo Ren? Why not? Blaster and saber? Holy shit! Now they have taken the gameplay to a completely new level. Of course the combat would not be complete without expanding Cal's force powers. Upon my second playthrough I realize confusion and mass slam, and mass levitate were some of the most useful. The game still locks off some abilities until you reach certain plot points in the story but, once you make it through the prologue on New Game + you have access to all abilities and force powers from the jump which are not tied to the story. This is the only part of the game that one might consider annoying. Especially on new game +. Some force powers like dashing are only tied to mobility. They do not necessarily make enemies easier to fight, so why do I have to wait until certain points in the campaign to use them. Same goes for the upgrade to you ascension cable. Towards the last third of the game you do not unlock the upgrade which allows you to attach to weather balloons you see all over the place. Regardless of these nitpicks, both games are absolute MASTERPIECES. Do not delay like I did and play them as soon as possible. There has been a lot of discouraging news for bourbon hunters these days, as it seems more and more that the system is stacked against those just tryin' to find a Pappy. Will and Greeze discuss the "2-tier system," where those in the distro game are cutting the allocations off at the pass. Then, Will blinds Greeze on Calumet 8 year and gets his buy, bar, pass rating.

Jason sits down with the man who could be considered the OG “passport bro.” Back in 2011, Al Greeze released his first in a series of documentaries exploring why black men were seeking relationships not only outside their race but outside the United States. He doesn't consider himself a “passport bro,” but he definitely has done the research on and has knowledge of what is driving the movement that bears that name — and on what is driving more and more young men to the "manosphere." It seems basic, but between a glut of store picks and new non-distiller producers, it seems more difficult than ever to decipher the prevailing winds of the bourbon public. So they talk about it, and they drink some Old Soul Cask Strength that was picked by our buddy Tarak at Elixir in Spring Hill, TN.
