AEW Dynamite 3/29/23 review with JDfromNY. Adam Cole returns to in ring action! At the inaugural AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view last summer, Adam Cole participated in a four-way match for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. During that multi-man title clash, the 2022 men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament winner suffered a severe concussion. Now, after nine months on the sidelines, Cole will return to the ring and battle Daniel Garcia in a singles bout. Seven nights ago, the Jericho Appreciation Society member confronted the three-time ROH World Champion. Two title bouts are set to take place this evening, including Kenny Omega defending the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship against United Empire's Jeff Cobb. That match occurs just one week after Omega defeated El Hijo del Vikingo in a non-title match. Meanwhile, Orange Cassidy will put the AEW International Championship on the line when he takes on The Butcher. Blackpool Combat Club's Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta are penciled in to face Dalton Castle and The Boys (Brandon and Brent) in a trios match tonight. It will be the final time current ROH World Champion Castagnoli and reigning ROH Pure Champion Wheeler will perform in the ring before their respective title defenses this Friday night at ROH's Supercard of Honor 2023 pay-per-view. Elsewhere, "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry goes up against The Firm's Matt Hardy, and Willow Nightingale takes on The Outcasts' Ruby Soho.

Austin Aries is an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his time with Impact Wrestling, where he is a three-time Impact World Champion and a six-time Impact X Division Champion, and first multi-time ROH World Champion. He is also known for his time with WWE, where he competed in the cruiserweight division as well as doing color commentary. Between TNA/Impact and ROH, Aries has held 14 total championships and has also held numerous international and U.S. independent championships. Aries won the ROH World Tag Team Champion with his teammate Roderick Strong, and at Final Battle 2004, ROH's biggest event, defeated Samoa Joe to win the ROH World Championship, ending the latter's 645-day reign. He would regain the title in 2009, becoming the first multi-time champion. After moving on to Impact Wrestling, Aries won the X Division Championship six times. His first reign is the longest of the title's history at 301 days and trading the title for a TNA World Heavyweight title opportunity at Destination X, winning the title. He also won the TNA World Tag Team Championship and the Impact Grand Championship, becoming a Grand Slam Champion in Impact Wrestling. Thank you for tuning in! Ouellet is currently under contract to Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is a former ROH World Champion. Ouellet is best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling as one-half of The Quebecers/The Amazing French Canadians with Jacques Rougeau (with whom he held the WWF Tag Team Championship on three occasions). Other promotions Ouellet has wrestled for include Extreme Championship Wrestling, the International Wrestling Association, Major League Wrestling, and NWA Total Nonstop Action. After retiring in 2011, Ouellet returned to the ring in 2016, undergoing a career renaissance with the gimmick of "part beast-turned-man, part old-time strongman". On December 1, 2018, Ouellet announced his exclusive signing with Ring of Honor.He debuted for ROH at the December 15 tapings joining up with Marty Scurll and Brody King in a new stable called Villain Enterprises. At Honor Reigns Supreme 2019, Villain Enterprises defeated Silas Young and the Briscoe Brothers.
