What happens when you bring in one of the great personalities and story tellers to be your guest? ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE! Art Still takes over this episode of The Approach Shot with stories of football when a Defensive Player used to actually be able to hit a quarterback. He then talks of HIS fear of the little round white ball. And he makes John and Neal say "Still" 3 times...A LOT! (It feels a little like Beetlejuice around here). I'm telling you; we lost all control! This is part one of the incredible fun discussion we had with ART STILL. (Part 2, which includes the six-pack comes out later this week).

This week we discuss Season 3 Episode 22 "All Hell Breaks Loose." This episode features the sisters' fight with The Source's assassin, Shax, getting them exposed, as well as Phoebe traveling to the Underworld to attempt to save Cole. We discuss the evils of media and paparazzi in our society, the Source's first actual appearance and interactions with Cole, how totally useless and inconsistent The Elders are becoming, and of course, the incredible acting from our series leads, but especially Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty. My devious plan Part 2. The Shit Hits the Fan! The morning of our supposed trip to Bali, I loaded up the car with all the luggage and the kids. I have had all this pre-arranged with the school and the principal, the kids didn't know that they were heading someplace else. I had full custody of the kids, I had all the proper legal paperwork so child services would not be after me if the kids were reported, "kidnaped". Never in my life would I have thought of such things. Never had I thought I would be involved in such things. Taking custody of the children and making plans to go off to a hotel and hiding was never in my plans. Taking the Kids. A Terrible Goodbye. This was not easy. The kids and the luggage were loaded up I pulled away from the house. I drove towards the school and then pulled over in an empty parking lot. The kids knew that something was up. Of course, by now they were fully up to speed on the problems with mom. I turned to them and explained the situation. Their biggest disappointment was that we are not going to Bali. This was a sad moment as you can imagine. The kids loved going despite the 24 hours of sitting on a plane. The hardest thing ever. Mom cries and begs. After explaining to the kids that we are off to a local hotel and that mom is now going to be forced to go to rehab they were somewhat happy. We would be spending the next few nights in an undisclosed location they were not to divulge this information to mom. Explaining such complicated matters to kids is never easy. However, after telling the kids a white lie that mom will be off to see some doctors to help her and help her get better, they understood. Now came time for the phone call to my ex. I picked up the phone and called. I knew she would be upstairs and that she had not yet read my letter to her. The Letter. All Hell Breaks Loose! This call was by far the hardest call I ever had to make. I remained calm and asked her to go to the kitchen table and read the letter I wrote. She was immediately upset and demanded that I tell her what is going on. So I did... I explained that the kids are in my custody and she cannot see them until she picks a place on the list and checks herself into a rehabilitation center. This was easy enough to type but a crying and screaming mother in the background was a very tough thing to listen to. At first, it was lots of aggression, hate, cursing and yelling... Things calmed down after a few minutes. Why did You have to do this? Because I had No Choice! The big question was "why"? The overly simplified answer was, "because I had no choice" After years of begging, pleading, arguing, fighting and constant nervousness, it was time to take action. She begged and pleaded with me... I was in tears, the kids were crying and my ex was sobbing as I have never heard anyone sob before. She was in pain. Partly because I had the kids... But she knew they were safe. She was in fear of what was about to happen to her. She was terrified about the demons she was about to face in rehab. Her voice was something that will forever remain with me during those moments. The hardest thing I ever had to do... but it was not over yet. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/zsolt-zsemba/message

Here it is, the first and perhaps most iconique brother death! In this massive episode, Beau and Clare talk about the final 4 episodes of season 2: Folsom Prison Blues, What Is And What Should Never Be, and both parts of All Hell Breaks Loose. Along with discussions of Dean looking bloody, Dean looking sad, and Dean being touch-starved, they talk about the introduction of our first named queer character and how great Bobby is, and most importantly how pepperjack cheese is highly underrated. This episode features our pal, Jonny Disaster, from "Hidden Tracks" alumni Cry Havoc! Unsurprisingly, they are the Hidden Track on this episode, with their classic song, "Fuck You! Just Die," from their classic album, "...And Let Slip the Dogs of War." On this episode, we give a brief history of the band, The Misfits, in its many incarnations: from humble origins on 4/25/77 at the original CBGB, to a reunion that everyone said was impossible. We also talk about each of the band members and their prior and subsequent projects. For instance, singer, Glenn Danzig, would later be in Samhain and Danzig. He went on to direct the baffling Verotika, based on his own comicbook series of the same name. Jerry Only and his real life brother, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, would later reform the band with Michale Graves and Dr. C.H.U.D., even wrestling alongside Vampiro and ICP in WCW. We do a song-by-song breakdown of the album, which clocks in at a brisk 24:19. In classic Slashers fashion, we also detail the source material for the songs, mostly film classics. The songs include: 20 Eyes, I Turned into a Martian, All Hell Breaks Loose, Vampira, Nike-A-Go-Go, Hate Breeders, Mommy, Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight?, Night of the Living Dead, Skulls, Violent World, Devils Whorehouse, Astro Zombies, and Braineaters. We even discuss the recently restored music video for Braineaters. If you ever have feedback or recommendations on future episodes, please let us know at slasherspod@gmail.com.

A "grow light" for humans that cooks a guy's face. A pharmaceutical mist that puts you in the right mood for mourning the victims of terrorism. The year of All Hell Breaks Loose. The Year of the Sensor. Mudslides. Hurricanes. People who flee and people who stubbornly stay put. A terrible structure. A grand experiment. Creams and lotions that induce false prophecies. People who tumble into other people's marriages after they're dead. Every inch of the earth as a graveyard. More pharmaceuticals. Lives curated by drugs. The pills we swallow and the pills we reject. The way you never really know anybody. Damon Johnson joins us this week for a discussion of his incredible career. At the present time, Damon has his hands full with Black Star Riders and his upcoming solo album Memoirs of an Uprising. Damon Johnson really brings it in this long-form talk with some great stories from his career and life. From Brother Cane's early days opening for such legends as Van Halen, Aerosmith and Robert Plant among others. Additionally, Damon shares his memories of Brother Cane navigating a shifty musical tide in the 1990's. [caption id="attachment_44329" align="alignright" width="350"] Damon Johnson [/caption] Damon's post-Brother Cane career has taken many twists and turns. Collaborations with Sammy Hagar, Faith Hill, Damn Yankees, Carlos Santana, and Slave to the System (featuring members of Queensryche) show the range of talent in his arsenal. In 2004, Damon Johnson was brought into the Alice Cooper band. In this conversation, he shares his memories of getting the gig, his relationship with Alice, and what he's learned from his time in the band. 2011 saw Damon get to live out another childhood dream as he joined Thin Lizzy. Touring under that banner, he formed a strong chemistry with guitarist Scott Gorham and singer Ricky Warwick. The seeds for Black Star Riders were planted. Ultimately, Black Star Riders would take the Thin Lizzy spirit and breathe life into a well-oiled machine; releasing three solid albums of material. As of 2018, the catalog, including All Hell Breaks Loose, The Killer Instinct, and Heavy Fire, has built a devoted global fan base. Aside from band work with living legends, Damon has a great catalog of solo material. His first album, Dust, was released in 2000. Release would come along in 2010 and Echo in 2016. A live album, Birmingham Tonight, represents 2017 for Damon Johnson. For 2018, Damon has set his sights on another solo album. Memoirs of an Uprising is being funded through Pledge Music. As of this episode release, the project is 87% funded with a deadline two weeks away. Decibel Geek really wants to help push this project over the finish line and we'd like YOUR help. *Poor audio quality* "Founded in 1982 the legendary trio DESTRUCTION reached the top of the national thrash metal movement, with albums such as ‘Infernal Overkill’ and‘Eternal Devastation’ nestling in their impressive heavy metal canon. Even later works like ‘All Hell Breaks Loose’ or ‘The Antichrist’ are glorious moments in thrash, highlighting why DESTRUCTION are part of the “Big Teutonic 4’’ and still touring the world with great success. DESTRUCTION never been so fast, brutal and groovy, which is saying something after 30 years in the metal business! When a combo is still able to write high-energy balls to the wall songs overflowing with power and joy of playing after all this time, one can justifiably bespeak it as an outstanding achievement. After several personnel changes, DESTRUCTION have risen to the position of one of Germany’s most impressive thrash metal figureheads in the course of time – famous for releasing premium juggernauts of sound and notorious for their merciless live massacres." However, that's not all as we also break down Scream Factory's Funhouse Massacre with Robert Englund and last but not least it's boy bands vs zombies in the horror/western hybrid Dead 7. Also to celebrate our return we will be giving away some new free movies to our loyal listeners, so don't miss it Flesh Wound Freaks and remember to download us on itunes and Stitcher.
