In 2018 Jeff Daubney and Janis White set out on a path to create a breathwork workshop that combined the teachings of Wim Hof and freediving in order to help clients exceed their previous PR's in the breath retention space and gain a valuable tool for pro-vitality and anti aging.   The practical application of breath holding (Wim Hof) allows clients to achieve gains quickly but also hits a plateau quickly due to its non critical nature whereas freediving breath work achieves constant growth due to the nature of the application.  As part of each workshop the instructors will speak on the science behind breath holds that relate to anti aging through the processes of autophagy and hormesis backed by Dr Mark Hyman, Dan Brule and others. Because lung capacity has a direct correlation to health span and life span clients are very clear on the "why" of the workshop throughout the process.  Gary Brecka is often quoted stating "In the presence of oxygen is the absence of disease"  and the ICCEMethod workshop helps participants gain comfort increasing both O2 and CO2.  After the workshop clients report feeling a sense of achievement, peace and mental acuity.  In this episode, Jeff talks about the power of breathwork, cold immersion's effect on different people, and walks you through what he's going facilitate at the upcoming retreat Tara is holding in Tulum in April 2025. Dan Brule is a world-renowned pioneer in the world of Breathwork.  If you haven't heard of him, I urge you to check out our first conversation EP015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0sKkpOZCgI&t=1758s On April 24th 2022, Dan Brule made a public statement* that he was stepping back from all teaching and consulting to do some soul searching and deep inner work.I am not here to share my opinions because I don't know all the details, I have not been involved in this and I do not work in this field. Things have not felt good for me and some still don't but I wanted to reconnect with Dan to hear his feeling on all of this. This for me was an opportunity to sit with Dan and form an authentic conversation rooted in truth, which are two big values of this Podcast. And the intention was to hold space for Dans voice to be shared without an agenda and to ask some big questions. It's not been the easiest conversation to give the green light on because I know that it's a super controversial situation, but ultimately I believe I have done my best at holding it, and honouring the importance of it. I tried my best to meet Dan with respect, compassion and remain in my own integrity understanding how hard this has been for everyone involved, and how many people have clearly been hurt by Dans lack of standards and protocols in his classes. He speaks about how the last year has unraveled for him, and as you will observe, it is still quite raw and difficult at times for Dan to process the level to which this has rocked the world of Breathwork. If anything let Dans story be a reminder to all practitioners, that we are all human and all have the capacity to cause others to not feel safe or comfortable even when we feel we are helping so many with our work. I consider myself a space holder for self-development, growth and transformation so feel the context of this conversation brings me to something that is always on my heart, which is, we need to surround ourselves with people who call us in, in healthy ways, friends who challenge us for our betterment, ask and honour feedback and continue to do the work and be in spaces that challenge our own beliefs and shake our own perspective up. Love Tidbits Podcast

Could breath be used as a tool? You're listening to the Love Tidbits Podcast, where you'll discover a small, tasty, delightful, bite-sized tidbit of love ~ I'm your host, LeAnn Austin  Hey y'all, welcome to Love Tidbits, episode #31: Just Breathe   What do you think when someone tells you, hey take a breath. That's the last thing you want to hear or to do. Well, I've been taking some incredible certification classes from Brooke Snow and Candice Toone. I now have a whole new understanding of breathing, and the powerful effect it has when we're a little more intentional about our breath.   I took a few classes in high school and college about our bodies, but didn't remember that the respiratory system is the only system in the body that can be regulated both consciously and unconsciously. You can breathe without thinking about it, and you can breathe on purpose. You can control your breath. And breath is one of the most amazing tools we have for being happy and healthy.  I find it interesting that many of the books I read and have spoken about on this podcast, mention breathwork or meditation in some form. I used to think that was a little woo, woo. But now I completely agree that breathing does make you feel better.  There's lots of scientific evidence to prove it. Breathing helps to release tension, increase creativity, helps your body detoxify, reduces anxiety, helps you relax, and makes way for clearer thinking. I've also learned that nose breathing is better than mouth breathing, who knew?  And most of us are mouth breathers. Very simply, mouth breathing is shallow and causes us to over breath. Nasal breathing or nose breathing, allows for more oxygen to get to active tissues, provides a sense of calm, and allows us to function better. So a really easy way to practice nose breathing is, breathe in through your nose, into your belly, and exhale a little bit longer than you inhaled.  Some of you also may have heard of grounding exercises.  Grounding exercises are things you can do to bring yourself back to the present moment. They could be quick strategies, like take three deep belly breaths, or longer, more formal exercises like meditation. I have a section now available in my Lovin Me program with some simple breath and grounding exercises. If you want to learn more, join us anytime.  If you're breathing, you're feeling, and if you're feeling you're pausing to take better care of yourself. That's what it's all about y'all, loving and taking care of you so that you're well equipped to help other people in your life. I love to just put my hand on my heart, breathe in through my nose, and out through my nose. Just breathing and pausing with my hand on my heart, brings me back to the present and fills me with love.  I appreciate this insightful quote by Dan Brule:  "Breath is the link between mind and body."  Hmmm, something to think about.  Have a good one y'all ~ and here's to breathing and love. If you're enjoying this podcast, please share and leave a review, to help others hear tidbits of love.  Do you have a daughter-in-law? I have two. They are amazing, and I love and adore them, but that wasn't always the case. Whether you love your daughter-in-law already, and know there's space for the relationship to become even better than it is. Or, you're really struggling with your daughter-in-law, and you feel anxious, worried, or angry every time you're together, or even thinking about her. This Lovin My DIL Course is for you.   This course that I created includes years of experience with my daughters-in-law, life coach training, and lots of love and inspiration. Everything I've used to have a beautiful relationship with my daughters-in-law.  And I'm sharing it with you.  These five secrets will allow you to stop walking on eggshells, be less worried and anxious whenever you're with, or even thinking about your daughter-in-law, and have the loving relationship you truly desire. Click the link in the show notes. And if you purchase now, you'll receive a special bonus.  Here's to Lovin My DIL y'all.  Have a good one.

In this episode of A New Way of Living, I interview Reis Paluso about reuniting with your breath and how breathwork can change your life.   Incorporating a breath practice into your life can have huge benefits. When you develop breathing techniques for stress relief, anxiety relief, overall balance, and wellbeing, you'll see some big results.   As a surfer, husband, father of two young girls, and serial entrepreneur, Reis Paluso found himself searching for a way to maintain balance in life. After being introduced to the Wim Hof Method, he reignited a mind-body connection that he lost over time and opened up a journey of unlocking his true potential.    After a deep exploration of the Wim Hof Method, including two trips to Poland where he summited frozen mountains in sub-zero temperatures wearing only shorts and learned to love himself again, Reis realized that this was really just the tip of the iceberg.    The rabbit hole of breathwork and human optimization was blown open. Reis quickly became fascinated by all types of breathwork and began experiencing as many breathing methods and schools of breath as possible. He has been fortunate to study with some of the leaders in the field like Kasper van der Meulen, Dan Brule and Brian Mackenzie. Reis works privately with clients, including individuals and groups, and is also the co-founder and CEO of a breathwork community called Our Breath Collective.   ➢Enjoy the wow of algae nutrition with my favorite algae product, ENERGYbits: https://www.energybits.com/. Vamos a hacerlo 3 veces… Va la primera… Inhala, estiiiira…. Exhala en suspiro… ahhhhhhh Va la segunda… Inhala, estiiiira…. Exhala en suspiro… ahhhhhhh Va la tercera… Inhala, estiiiiira…. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/parayrespira/message

Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Poooh! Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Poooh! ¡No te rías! O ríete si quieres, pero pruébalo. Hazlo ahora. Y hazlo de nuevo. Juega con ello. ¡Experimenta! Vamos a hacer 10 rondas, comencemos… 1. Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Poooh! 2. Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Poooh! 3. Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Poooh! 4. Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Sniff . . . Poooh! 5. Sniff . . . It is my pleasure to introduce you to Kerry Veitch, a Breathwork practitioner from the UK. In this episode, Kerry talks about learning to take her armour off, stop running from life, let go of what you cannot change and change how you show up each and every day. She shares her powerful first Breathwork experience. It's quite moving to hear her insights and wisdom about life that, I believe, can help everyone! Kerry can be reached on: Instagram @scared.breath and her website https://www.thesacredbreath.co.uk/ As always, I can be reached on my Facebook page or my Facebook Community Celebrate and Reinvent Yourself (were I periodically provide free Breathwork sessions), Instagram (@opicoaching) and finally my website (www.opicoaching.com). I would love to connect and help you explore if Breathwork is for you. With gratitude, Suz A little more about Kerry: Kerry Veitch has been connected with rebirthing breathwork since she was 19. In 1994 her first rebirthing session in the US, along with some well-chosen books ‘Living in the Light' & ‘Creative Visualization', (selling 7 million copies) Shakti Gawain, really shaped Kerry's life. With some more breathwork sessions over the years with Kerry's auntie, Lynn Veitch who has been a breathwork practitioner for 37 years, the connection became more of a ‘calling'. Kerry now works closely with Lynn and recently produced an event - Breath of Our Ancestors. Kerry is certified with an AIR Diploma in Rebirthing Breathwork, is an Alchemy of Breath Breathwork Practitioner and Teacher, and is also lucky enough to also have studied with Dan Brule amongst others. Kerry has a BSc Hons in Psychology and Sociology, and has also graduated as an energy healer. She is on the committee of the British Rebirth Society, which supports Rebirthing Breathwork practitioners in the UK over the last 40 years. She is also a practitioner member of the International Breathwork Foundation. Kerry founded The Sacred Breath her own breathwork practice and Breathe A Festival of Life , an annual weekend retreat that celebrates all modalities of breathwork in 2018, with the intention and capacity to spread the incredible, transformational work that can be done simply by using the breath.

As a surfer, husband, father of two young girls, and a serial entrepreneur, Reis found himself searching for a way to maintain balance in life. After being introduced to the Wim Hof Method, he reignited a mind-body connection that he lost over time and opened up a journey of unlocking his true potential. After a deep exploration of the Wim Hof Method, including two trips to Poland where he summited frozen mountains in sub-zero temperatures wearing only short and learned to love himself again, Reis realize that was really just the tip of the iceberg. The rabbit hole of breathwork and human optimization was blown open. Reis quickly became fascinated by all types of breathwork and began experiencing as many breathing “methods” and schools of breath as possible including studying with some of the leaders in the field like Kasper van der Meulen, Dan Brule, and Brian Mackenzie. Reis now follows a principle-based approach to meet the breather where they are and help to empower them to use the breath as a tool. Reis works privately with clients, including individuals and groups, and also is the co-founder and CEO of a breathwork community called Our Breath Collective. In this conversation, Reis shares about his discovery of, and dive into, the world of breath work. He speaks about his journey from practicing breath work to facilitating, leading, and teaching. He also discusses his investigations into different forms of breath work, such as rebirthing. And he shares about the the creation of Our Breath Collective, and what he envisions for the community's future.

The lungs wrap around the heart, and he believes this isn’t an accident. As we breathe, we’re awakening our hearts, opening them unconsciously. Just think of what we could do if we had mastery over this process. Our ears are what people think of as the listening organ, but there is an art to listening with your heart. Dan explains this idea is good because we focus on our heart while we breathe, consciously living alongside a natural connection. He also notes that this divine connectedness (a mother figure) doesn’t always communicate through our mind. She whispers through our heart, through our emotions. For Dan, the divine “mother” is an intelligence reaching towards us beyond matter. The art he speaks about is a practice. When you consider an object, don’t just look at it—breathe it in. As you listen, don’t just listen. Breathe. And the same goes for touch. This is the stuff of magic and miracles. When the outer breath (air) merges with the inner (spirit) that is when something awakens inside us.How can one approach this themselves? Unlocking this potential in their own lives? The answer, Dan says, is to approach breathing with a specific attitude. We must bring a specific quality to our breath that will unlock this power, a secret that the breath itself holds. He tells me this secret: the breath is a thread. If we follow this thread, it will lead us to the well of life within us.Dan further explains that everyone already embodies this philosophy of connectedness. We’re all one. It’s the shared experience of breath that literally connects us. Everyone, from the moment we’re born until we die, are living together in this bubble of air wrapped around Earth. He believes every great spiritual teacher spoke about the breath at some point. Now, it’s time to embody those principles the learned masters understood. When we breathe, we take those spiritual principles in hand. Whether we know it or not, it’s a simple practice that is done by shifting your mindset.Dan asks, “What would you like to create in yourself? He continues by asking us to focus on this question as we breathe. In our minds, we are now taking part in a spiritual creation process.A bit more on this teacher of mine, Dan Brule lives in Baja Mexico. If you know this area, you’re familiar with its arid, tropical climate. The desert soil is hard and packed down. When it rains here, the water just washes along the surface. However, if you turn the soil, when it rains, the earth readily drinks up the water. This soil “turning and loosening” is relaxation.Hence, Dan says that by combining breathing with relaxation, we can absorb the “water” or spirit. Without relaxation, our minds are like the desert soil, closed to the life-giving waters. Dan also notes that we cannot afford hard or feelings. Harboring these unyielding notions will cut us off from the connection to our source. Furthermore, he explains that this awareness is achieved through meditation and breathwork. The more meditative awareness we bring to the breath, the more we see our minds loosen to accept the waters of the spirit. This practice doesn’t exclude a secular view either. If the more profound parts of spiritual practice don’t suit you, you can simply imagine your favorite fragrance. As you inhale, put yourself into the pleasure of that moment. If this appeals to you, then expand further using your memories as tools. Reawaken old moments when someone expressed love to you and breathe in the warm feelings they bring. Feelings of love are never lost to us..Moreover, Dan says to reawaken moments of criticism. In their own way, people try to show love through critiques. If we can find the goodness, even in these tougher moments, then your life can drastically improve. In addition, one of Dan’s early teachers pointed out that even violence is only an illusion. It’s an immature, or even disgusting, manner of expressing love. Warped and twisted though they are, violent acts are usually driven by love.If we choose love as our lens for the world, then that is what we’ll see. With practice, the choice to turn towards love gets easier and easier. Use the tools of focus and intention setting. Remember, everything is based on perspective.Dan concludes with breath’s simplicity. Like Occam’s Razor, the simplest explanation is usually the most powerful. Keep in mind to breathe, play with your breath, and pray with your breath. To learn more about how to design your desired futures and receive a futuring journey audio meditation in either English or Spanish, visit https://DeleflorTeachings.com/futuring

Free from the self-hate. One who can tap into a deeper, more creative power. But now... it’s for different reasons. Reasons I’m still not able to properly enunciate. At least not in a way mortal minds can grasp. I want something more. Something higher. To reach a higher level. A greater frequency. Pure, unadulterated 528 Hz. To look... if only once... into the essence that is pure possibility. Where there is no time... no past... no future. Only presence. Without the limits of this temporary avatar we call a body. And maybe... just MAYBE... get a little poontang, too. Oh come one. I HAD to lighten things up. I’ve got street cred I gotta keep up, ya know. And no, I’ve not REALLY been doing mescaline.
