Ils se retrouvent une fois par mois le mardi et le premier mardi de novembre pour décerner le prix. Ce jour-ci, un menu spécial est pensé, conçu et servi aux académiciens, au lauréat ou à la lauréate et son éditeur. Sa composition est gardée secrète pour être une surprise et une fête le jour du prix. Son élaboration est le fruit du travail complice, curieux, passionné de James Ney, le directeur de Drouant et du chef des cuisines du restaurant, Romain Van Thieunen depuis 2022. La littérature pour inspiration, un «supplément d'âme» apporté, au-delà des plats servis. Ce menu est un cadeau et un trésor de créativité.
