Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is a 2002 fighting game developed and published by Midway for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Game Boy Advance. It was the first all-new Mortal Kombat fighting game produced exclusively for home consoles, with no preceding arcade release. It is the fifth main installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and a sequel to 1997's Mortal Kombat 4. Its story focuses on the eponymous alliance between sorcerers Quan Chi and Shang Tsung and their schemes to revive an ancient army to conquer Outworld and Earthrealm. The game is the only main installment not to feature series protagonist Liu Kang as a playable character. It is also the first game in the canon series to not have the involvement of co-creator John Tobias, as he left Midway in 1999 to pursue other interests. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/princekenjistm/message
Taven and Farrow are all you need...
Welcome to The GCP.The first & second rounds of March Madness in 2023 are behind us. We're looking forward to the Sweet Sixteen, where the best of the best perform on the biggest stage college basketball has to offer. It's exciting stuff, and we're just getting started. Lots of heartbreak, all brackets are shattered, but we're geeked because this is the best time of the year. Taven joins us again on The GCP to talk Spartan basketball. John J. intelligently dodged the "Sparty" debate, as the two find common ground in this newly reborn Michigan State team, finding a Sweet Sixteen berth after losing to Ohio State in the B1G Tournament. Upsets have been prevalent, as the mightiest of teams have fallen short already. Who will be next? - All this and much more, in this episode of The GCP. Remember this; Onward and upward is the only option. Watch the FULL video interview HERESubscribe to our YouTube Channel - YouTube.com/@undisputed_DemiThe last time we had Matt Taven on the show, it was to remember Mark Briscoe. This time, we wanted to learn a little bit more about who Matt Taven is. Did we? We're not answering that, you have to listen to find out. But Matt does share some awesome stories with The Demi Pod on this episode. We find out who he was a fan of as a kid, where he was professionally trained, who he did some back yard wrestling with and more. What else more? All we'll say is that Taven shares some great Ring of Honor stories. Now, listen to the episode.
THE GCP welcomes you to our 50th Episode.Ladies and gents; The stage is set. Four teams. Semifinals. Every single team is in play. Who will be beat? The GCP welcomes a new face, Taven - a college football fanatic, and an avid Michigan State Spartan. Recapping the recent conference championship games, only a few upsets stand out. Utah over USC, and Kansas State over TCU. The Horned Frogs lucked out and kept their #3 spot even with a loss in the BIG 12 Championship, but as for USC, they weren't so fortunate. Ohio State sneaks back into the fourth spot after the Trojans dropped the soap. Controversy is all around us. Find it here - All this and much more, in this episode of The GCP. They actually tried to do McIntyre vs. Kingston - with the same stakes - on last night's Raw...but Lashley and MVP got involved and the referee threw the match out. Sheamus used a handful of tights to pin Humberto Carrillo. Sheamus tried to beat up Carrillo some more after the match, but Ricochet ran out to make the save. Riddle faced off against Xavier Woods...and it was Riddle getting the win...pinning Woods with the RKO. Jaxson Ryker pinned AJ Styles after outside interference from Elias. Cedric Alexander pinned Shelton Benjamin. (STINGER: New Japan) The latest New Japan wrestler to confirm he tested positive for COVID-19 is Taichi. He told Tokyo Sports he started feeling sick after performing at the Wrestling Dontaku shows. Taichi said his symptoms were mild. Meanwhile, some news that could impact foreign talent looking to wrestle in Japan. The U.S. State Department issued a “Do Not Travel” advisory for the country...citing a “very high level of COVID-19 in the country”. (STINGER: AEW) We have a handful of matches announced for tonight's AEW Dark: Brian Cage vs. Sonny Kiss...Dark Order's “10” vs. Dillon McQueen...and Nick Comoroto vs. Duke Davis. Some familiar faces to fans of New Japan on last night's Dark: Elevation. Ren Narita pinned Royce Isaacs with his bridging belly-to-belly suplex. And Rocky Romero pinned JD Drake with a cradle. The Wingmen tried to jump Romero after the match...but Best Friends - including Romero's former tag partner Trent - ran out for the save. The show ended with them reunited as their old Roppongi Vice theme played. Tonight's NWA Powerrr is being promoted as a “season finale”...with some big matches, including the one between Thunder Rosa and Kamille. The winner is the #1 contender for Serena Deeb's NWA Women's World Championship. There are added stakes for Thunder Rosa. If she loses, the Forbidden Door for her, is closed and locked. She can no longer wrestle anywhere other than the NWA. Also on the show...Aron Stevens and Kratos defend the NWA Tag Titles against the War Kings - Jax Dane & Crimson. There's a battle royal to decide the #1 contender for Nick Aldis' NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Plus, Aldis himself will be in action. He'll go one-on-one against Mims. (STINGER: ROH) The Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles are staying with The Foundation. HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus turned away the challenge of Matt Taven and Mike Bennett on ROH's weekend TV. Williams pinned Taven with a piledriver...after Taven was hobbled by an ankle injury. Fred Yehi used the Koji Clutch to submit Rocky Romero in a Pure Rules Match. Also on the show, Flip Gordon demanded a shot at Rush and the ROH World Championship...but Gordon was interrupted by EC3...who simply said “you've been warned”...and left. (STINGER: Impact) Impact's Eddie Edwards is back home and recovering...after having his appendix removed. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, May 25. (STINGER: WWE) The NXT Women's Tag Team Championships are on the line in a Street Fight. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart will defend against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. Also on tonight's NXT a “Falls Count Anywhere” Match between Isaiah SWERVE Scott and Leon Ruff. Plus, Tommaso Ciamp and Timothy Thatcher vs. the Grizzled Young Veterans...and the return of Finn Balor. We're getting a 3-Way match for the Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania Backlash - Rhea Ripley defending against Asuka and Charlotte Flair. WWE had announced it would simply be Ripley vs. Asuka - but during Raw, Charlotte pulled some strings...with Sonya Deville and was added to the match. Charlotte submitted Dana Brooke. Mandy Rose took a few cheap shots at Charlotte after the match. Some familiar faces are returning to Raw. Mansoor was revealed as a new member of the roster last night. He was one of the hottests wrestlers in WWE - riding a 49-match winning streak that dates back to 2019. BUT, Mansoor was put into a match last night, against Sheamus. It was interrupted by Humberto Carrillo...who attacked Sheamus. That's a disqualification WIN for Sheamus...and a LOSS for Mansoor. The streak...is over. There was also a video on last night's Raw hyping up the return of Eva Marie! As promised, we got the return of the Raw Tag Team Champs AJ Styles and Omos last night...and they successfully defended their titles in a WrestleMania rematch against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Lana and Naomi got a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles - but Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler retained the gold. Baszler submitted Lana. In last night's main event, WWE Champ Bobby Lashley beat Braun Strowman in a non-title match. Strowman was distracted by Drew McIntyre, who was hanging around ringside. After the match, McIntyre laid out both guys. We're getting Lashley vs. McIntyre in another non-title match on next Monday's Raw. Lucha House Party beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Alexander berated Benjamin after the match...and said their tag team is “done”. Angel Garza pinned Drew Gulak with the Wing Clipper. After the match, Garza shoved a rose down the back of Gulak's trunks and kicked him in the rear. Team R-K-Bro beat Elias and Jaxson Ryker...and Damien Priest beat John Morrison. (STINGER: New Japan) It's Day 2 of New Japan's Wrestling Dontaku. This morning's main event is Will Ospreay defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Shingo Takagi. On Monday's Wrestling Dontaku show...Jay White won the NEVER Openweight Champion. He dethroned Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event. White is the first man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight, Intercontinental, United States and NEVER Title. (White Belt Collector) That clip from New Japan's social media. White also challenged David Finlay, who beat White in the New Japan Cup. Also on Monday's show...Taichi defeated Tama Tonga in a Ladder Match - securing the Iron Fingers Of Doom that were hung above the ring. Zack Sabre Jr. beat Tanga Loa. That means Sabre and Taichi will get another shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles held by the Guerillas of Destiny. (STINGER: ROH) A title change on Ring Of Honor's weekend TV. Tony Deppen is the new ROH TV Champion. He used a clever pinning combination to take the gold from HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. Also on the show, Flamita snuck in a low blow to pin his former tag partner Bandido. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett beat the Beer City Bruiser and Ken Dixon. After the match, Taven hit Bruiser with a beer bottle. Bennett did not seem to be on board with that. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Dark has...the return of Pac, taking on Serpentico. There was an upset on last night's Dark: Elevation. Abadon pinned Ryo Mizunami with her Cemetery Drive finisher. Also last night, Nyla Rose blew through Madi Wrenkowski...and in the main event, Austen & Colten Gunn beat Chaos Project. Jake Lee is the winner of All Japan's Champion Carnival. He will challenge the Triple Crown champion, Suwama, on May 16. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, May 4. In a news release Monday, we learned there will NOT be an automatic migration for existing network subscribers. They'll need to sign up for Peacock Premium on their own. Peacock is running a special offer for the next month - FOUR months of Peacock Premium access for $9.99. If you have Comcast or Cox cable, you may already get Peacock Premium for free. WWE's Peacock Era begins March 18th. There will be an “overlap” period. On Monday, we learned that'll last a little over two weeks - ending on April 4th. That's when the existing WWE Network app will cease operation. We also got more details about the Network content on Peacock. Not everything currently on the Network will be available when it launches on Peacock. WWE said Peacock is promising to have the entire network archive “available to stream on demand before SummerSlam”. At launch, the WWE Network on Peacock is promising every pay per view over the last calendar year... NXT episodes the day after they air... Raw and SmackDown episodes 30 days after they air… Plus, WWE original programming and documentaries. Live fans WILL be in attendance at WrestleMania. WWE announced tickets go on sale next Tuesday. There will also be an exclusive presale opportunity for fans who register. Last night's Raw opened with the new WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defending against The Miz. Miz lasted a little longer than he did last Monday, but eventually submitted to the Hurt Lock. Drew McIntyre is being called the “presumptive” next challenger to Lashley. Drew brawled backstage with Sheamus. They later met in a No DQ Match...that ended when both men ran into one another while carrying steel ring steps. The referee determined that Sheamus could not continue and called off the match. Randy Orton and AJ Styles went at it in the main event. The end came when Alexa Bliss appeared on the ‘tron. Fire shot from the ring posts...Randy started to cough up BLACK GOO again...caught a Phenomenal Forearm from AJ and got pinned. Braun Strowman got an apology from Shane McMahon. Later, Shane not-so-subtly implied that Braun is stupid. That led to Braun chasing Shane backstage, where Shane was able to lose him. Reginald resurfaced on Raw, in the corner of the women's tag champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Reginald was fired by Carmella in Friday's SmackDown. Jax and Baszler successfully defended their tag titles against Naomi and Lana. Jax pinned Lana. The New Day will challenge The Hurt Business for the Raw Tag Titles on next Monday's Raw. Xavier Woods beat Shelton Benjamin in a one-on-one match last night. Another title match made for next Monday: Riddle defends the U.S. Title against Mustafa Ali. Wednesday's NXT is now promoting TWO major announcements from GM William Regal. (STINGER: ROH) Jay Lethal will challenge Rush for the Ring Of Honor World Championship at the ROH 19th Anniversary pay per view on Friday, March 26th. Lethal earned the shot by pinning Matt Taven in a 4-way on ROH's weekend TV. A distraction by Vita VonStarr left Taven open for Lethal Injection. Jay Briscoe and EC3 were also in the match, but they brawled all the way backstage. Also on that show - Dalton Castle essentially saved his ROH career. He used a rollup to beat Josh Woods in a Pure Rules Match. After the match, Woods was confronted by his old tag partner Silas Young. But it's not clear if they'll reunite. (STINGER: New Japan) The New Japan Cup rolls on this morning with a pair of first round matches. Wednesday's show will have THREE first round matches - Jay White vs. Toa Henare...Yujiro Takahashi vs. YOSHI-HASHI...and David Finlay vs. Chase Owens. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, February 2, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling,us. Results from last night's Raw and Ring of Honor's weekend TV are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: New Japan) Jay White is BACK in New Japan. He made a surprise return during Monday's “Road To The New Beginning” show - attacking Tomohiro Ishii. It was White's first appearance since he declared he was “done” with New Japan...after losing the Night 2 main event at Wrestle Kingdom. (Jay White Is Back) Some of White's backstage remarks from New Japan's social media. White is back in action today. He's been added to the main event of this morning's “Road To” show - a Chaos vs. Bullet Club 10-man Elimination Tag - and he's expected to be added to more shows on the New Beginning tour going forward. (STINGER: WWE) John Cena is squashing speculation that he could be part of WrestleMania. Cena is currently filming a TV series in Vancouver, and he told Sports Illustrated “there is no logistical way” he'd be able to appear at Mania. Royal Rumble winner Edge battled Randy Orton in the main event of last night's Raw - Edge's first match on Raw in nearly a decade. Edge delivered a spear to beat Orton after a distraction by Alexa Bliss, who magically appeared on top of one of the turnbuckles for a few moments with (I guess it was) a blood-like liquid trickling out of her mouth...and then she apparently vanished into thin air. Just before the main event, Bliss beat Nikki Cross. We got a couple mid-match transformations to and from Bliss' former “goddess” attire. After the win, Bliss walked past Orton on the entrance ramp with the two barely acknowledging one another. The show opened with Edge confronting WWE Champ Drew McIntyre, but Edge did not reveal which champion he'll challenge at WrestleMania. After Edge left, Sheamus TURNED on his “best friend” Drew - hitting him with a Brogue Kick! Sheamus said he wants a shot at the WWE Championship, and later, Drew said Sheamus will get it. Riddle's U.S. Title shot against Bobby Lashley ended in a disqualification win for Riddle...but Lashley battered him after the match. Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin still can't seem to get along, but they're still Raw tag champs after a win over Lucha House Party. Naomi and Lana are the new #1 contenders for the women's tag titles. They won a 3-way over Charlotte Flair & Asuka and Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke. A distraction by Ric Flair and Lacey Evans caused Charlotte to hastily tag out of the match. Moments later, Naomi hit the Rear View on Asuka to get the win. Damien Priest had Bad Bunny in his corner as he made his Raw debut...and he beat The Miz. One night after returning to WWE during the Royal Rumble, Carlito was back - teaming with Jeff Hardy to beat Elias and Jaxson Ryker. Kofi Kingston was back on Raw. He was in Xavier Woods' corner and helped him overcome interference from Retribution to score a win over Mustafa Ali. Woods says he now wants a match against Reckoning - the former Mia Yim. R-Truth got his baby back. He snuck up on Peter Rosenberg during YES Network's Michael Kay Show on Monday, and pinned him to win back the 24/7 Championship. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight's Impact Wrestling has Impact Champ Rich Swann and his title challenger at No Surrender Tommy Dreamer teaming up against Moose and Chris Bey. Also tonight, X-Division Champ TJP, no longer under the guise of Manik, in a non-title match against former champ Rohit Raju. AEW's Matt Hardy and Private Party will also be back on the show. (STINGER: AEW) 13 matches on tonight's AEW Dark - including Rey Fenix vs. KC Navarro..and Red Velvet vs. Alex Gracia. Some interesting tag team pairings on tonight's show. Nick Comoroto, fresh off his big match on Dynamite against Jon Moxley, will team with Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall. Another match has Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss tagging with Bear Country. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor announcing Monday that Jonathan Gresham has signed a new deal with the company. Gresham is currently the ROH Pure Champion and one half of the tag champs along with Jay Lethal. This past weekend's ROH TV showed Gresham successfully defend his Pure title against ROH Dojo student Joe Keys. Also on that show...Matt Taven and Mike Bennett beat The Bouncers. But the real action came just before a post-match toast between the teams, interrupted by Vincent. (Vincent Brainwashes Bruiser) That clip from ROH's Weekend TV posted to their social media. Vincent basically brainwashed the Beer City Bruiser into smashing a bottle over Taven's head. Bruiser's tag partner Brian Milonas did not appear to be on board with this decision. It's a Holiday Edition of Beats & Eats. On this Christmas Eve, Nick Gelso travels to Brookline for a Holiday tour of The Washington Square Tavern. This is a "return visit" of sorts, as Gelso visited with The Tavern back in November, talking with BNE2, Chef Barret about his POPUP dinner. The POPUP was a resounding success and today, we speak with the Tavern's Executive Chef Kevin Des Chenes. In addition to his work at this great Gastro Eatery, Chef Kevin has been making waves all over the Celebrity Chef circuit with his appearances on, Food Network's Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell and The Celebrity Stage at The Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival. Surrounding all of Kevin's recent success, is his great passion and devotion to charity. It's always been quite impactful to me that the culinary community always makes a priority to give back to those who are suffering or less fortunate. As you'll hear in today's episode of Beats and Eats, Kevin's current charity is one that is very close to mine and Ty's heart, Michelle's Place for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness. Our association coincides with Chef Kevin's via Gillian Larson, and her Reality Rally Charity weekend in Temecula, California. Chef Kev explains why charity is so important to him and why he's working so hard to raise funds for Reality Rally/Michelle's Place. Additionally, we speak about the Holiday Season at Washington Square Tavern in Brookline. Chef Kevin talks about the great things happening at the Tavern on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and, of course, New Years Eve. Lastly, we spend a portion of time discussing the restaurant industry, the US Foods - Sysco merger, and how it will impact the independent operators, and general best practices in the BOH of a well-established, bustling Gastro Tavern in Boston.
