Jennifer Kesse disappeared in January 2006, and her car was found about a mile away soon after. Surveillance footage showed someone parking the car, but they couldn't be identified due to poor image quality and obstructions. The case remains unsolved, though in October 2025 new DNA evidence helped investigators narrow the suspect pool and revive the investigation. Jay Keese is CEO of Capitol Advocates, a Washington D.C. based policy and advocacy firm specializing in healthcare issues. Jay has represented physicians for decades, starting with a career in government relations at American Medical Association. Over the years, he has won important legislative and regulatory battles for doctors, employers, payers, states, health technologists, hospitals, device and pharmaceutical manufacturers on critical health care delivery and payment reforms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jay worked closely with physician groups, Congress and both administrations on critical waivers to state and federal laws that allow practices to fully utilize digital health services such as telehealth and remote patient monitoring to provide better care in a public health emergency.Jay currently runs several national healthcare stakeholder coalitions. He serves as Executive Director of the Direct Primary Care Coalition. He was instrumental in drafting a provision in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) which defines Direct Primary Care (DPC) as a medical service offered outside of insurance which meets ACA Essential Health Benefits criteria. He then played a major role in the passage of over 30 related state laws and regulations clarifying the treatment of DPC medical services and bringing value-based primary care arrangements to Medicaid and State Employees' health programs. He also leads advocacy work for the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD), a coalition of patients, providers, community leaders, businesses, unions, and health policy experts, committed to improving health outcomes and controlling costs by slowing the spread of preventable chronic disease by implementing more value-based payment and delivery reforms. He played a role in shaping many of these innovative reforms in the ACA and has helped implement programs like physician direct contracting with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the CMS Innovation Center (CMMI).Jay has worked with doctors, health technologists and software manufacturers for decades to support the adoption of health information technology and patient care applications. He worked with a broad bipartisan group of stakeholders on the creation of a risk-based regulatory framework for smartphone apps adopted by the Food and Drug Administration—part of the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act (FDASIA). He helped expand and implement many of these principles in provisions included in the 21st Century Cures Act. He began his career as an aide to the late Senator John Heinz (R-PA), a member of the Senate Finance Committee and Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee. The group referred to themselves as 'Soldiers of Christ,' and the victim was reportedly subjected to beatings and malnourishment for weeks, resulting in her emaciation and death. The accused face charges including felony murder, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence, and concealing the death of another. Medical examiners are investigating the cause of death, with malnourishment considered a contributing factor. The victim's family in South Korea had not been notified as of the report. He is accused of being part of a group that sought to give Georgia's electoral college votes to Trump despite Joe Biden winning the state.   Story 3: Lawrenceville completes first home built through partnership with Habitat for Humanity The city of Lawrenceville, in partnership with Gwinnett/Walton Habitat for Humanity, has completed the construction of the first of two affordable homes aimed at providing housing for residents in need. Lawrenceville allocated $100,000 for the project, emphasizing the importance of diverse income levels within the community. The home offers over 1,500 square feet of living space, a two-car garage, a fireplace, and dedicated areas for the family's various needs. The incident occurred in a parking lot at 2174 Pleasant Hill Road near Gwinnett Place Mall. The suspect approached the passenger side of the car, reached in, and grabbed the purse before fleeing on foot towards Satellite Blvd. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with a slim build, light skin, and wearing a light blue shirt and shorts. Police are seeking information from the public to identify the suspect.   Story 5: Gwinnett County Fair gets underway, the memory of former manager Dale Thurman lingers over the event   The Gwinnett County Fair, which recently began, carries the memory of its former manager, Dale Thurman. For 27 years, Thurman was an invaluable source of guidance and positivity for fair vendors and operators. He not only had the answers to their questions but also had the ability to uplift their spirits during challenging times. Thurman passed away unexpectedly last November, leaving a void in the fair community. His legacy lives on, with a picture of him displayed in the fairgrounds office, and a bench near the entrance dedicated to his memory. This win followed a similar comeback earlier in the season when they overcame a 20-7 deficit to win 21-20.   Story 7: Mill Creek wins another high-scoring clash with Cedar Grove   The Mill Creek Hawks won their fourth consecutive game of the 2023 football season by defeating Cedar Grove 56-35 in a high-scoring matchup. Mill Creek's senior running back, Cam Robinson, played a crucial role with over 200 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Despite a furious third-quarter rally from Cedar Grove, Mill Creek held on for the victory. The Hawks' strong start, led by quarterback Shane Throgmartin and Robinson, gave them an early lead. While Cedar Grove fought back in the third quarter, Mill Creek secured the win. Plus, we're seeing a pattern emerging on RHOP that we're not loving. We got a lot of emails about upcoming seasons of RHUGT - and one that's so wild we don't believe it. The former CFO of Girardi Keese has been arrested for wire fraud; and there's some interesting timing coming to light from it. And Cocktailers asked us some hilarious questions - we might not have answers, but you bet we're gonna talk about it.

This was the fifth session of the day from our Artemis London 2022 conference, held on September 6th, 2022.  The event was Artemis' first insurance-linked securities (ILS) conference held in the City of London and saw more than 240 attendees enjoy a wide-range of sessions and networking opportunities.  Themed largely around the catastrophe bond, attendees heard from expert speakers that have been in the sector for years, as well as newcomers with ideas of how to innovate the cat bond and ILS market going forwards.  Attendees came from as far afield as New Zealand, Hawaii, Asia, North and South America, Bermuda, as well as a large European contingent, plus as you'd expect numerous London marketplace leaders in ILS and reinsurance.  This fifth session from the event features a keynote speech from the CFO and COO of Lloyd's, Burkhard Keese.  During his keynote, Burkhard Keese explained Lloyd's evolving approach to insurance-linked securities (ILS) and its appetite to expand its use of ILS structures to work directly with investors that want to supply third-party capital directly into the market.  "We have introduced London Bridge to open up the London market, the Lloyd's market, to institutional investors in an easy and modern way.  "Yes it took, I would say, at least ten years longer than it took in Bermuda and Guernsey, but we are now there," Keese explained.  Listen to this full podcast episode of Burkhard Keese's keynote speech for more insights into the Lloyd's insurance and reinsurance market's growing appetite for working with ILS investors

What's up guys this week on The Iron Skillet Podcast we have Nick Worsky aka Kidd Nick. Nick is a music video director and photographer from the Charlottesville area who has been killing it. Nick graduated from high school last year and hit the ground running working hard to build his business and create a strong brand and presence on social media. Nick has collaborated with numerous artists such as East Side Payne, Keese and Lord Dynasty to help bring them high quality music videos. He has also worked with some men's watch and jewelry brands like Aimant watches and Exclive jewelry to create high quality product photos that help promote and showcase their brands. In this episode Nick talks about how is brother “Creative Ryan” was a huge inspiration and influence in his life. He taught him to keep a strong positive mindset and to never give up. Nick has a group of friends and fellow creatives that he surrounds himself with who are super motivating. He speaks about how surrounding yourself with like minded positive people is essential for growth. We also get a look into the gear that Nick started with and he encourages other creators not to be limit themselves or hold themselves back. Building your own vision and a style that stands out is way more important than upgrading your camera or lenses. This episode is full of tips for creators and Nick has a truly inspiring outlook for someone at such a young. He's only 19 and he's killing the game we can't wait to see what else he has in store.
