Charles is keeping it in the Halloween spirit for his choice from the Vault with Hocus Pocus 2, while Leo talks about a fun night out with his mom watching 1952's Singin' in the Rain. As for cracking the safe, it's a big take with one of Quentin Tarantino's more under appreciated films- 1997's Jackie Brown. The discussion ranges from debates about who delivers the best performance, the coolness of Pam Grier, and where it sits among Tarantino's other films. Wrath of Man Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie made a quarantine movie. the film lacked an intimacy in a film filled with folks who have intimate relationships…there were lots of masks and lots of reasons for people in this film to wear masks and social distance in a film shot when the only people who could leave the house in Los Angeles were people on the movie industry…I guess I should say thank’s to all involved for keeping people employed…because of all of the on the fly rules the makers of the film seemed to do the very best they could do with what they have…it didn’t feel like a new movie, it reminded me of the 2007 Miami Vice, and 2003’s SWAT (Colin Ferrell was in both and Guy Ritchie directed neither). This is a Guy Ritchie movie, this feels like a Guy Ritchie movie …the shootings are great, there is an unnecessary sequence involving Satanic Pedophilic bad guys getting the Guy Ritchie treatment…Which is similar to the Quentin Tarentino treatment but with an accent…Spoiler Alert…There is the oddly satisfying shooting of Post Malone, I liked watching Posts get beats up in Spencer Confidential…I’m a fan of the sub genre of American cinema that is bad things happening to Post Malone… In a Deep Fake as Entertainment world I’d buy the Post Malone pack just see him get beat up for no reason…How much better is Taxi Driver with Post Malone as the character played by Harvey Keitel…The whole movie is so much better that way…

The last, the longest and the wittiest awards show review of the year. As we are so late to the party, the At The Flicks team approached this assignment like a Quentin Tarentino movie. The usual suspects are here, however for this one we had to go bigger and bring in some extra Reservoir Dogs. Like every great Tarentino movie we break the action down into chapters, such as the Controversies and the movies the award winners would rather forget! We cover all the big awards with Tarantino wit and violence (well that always happens when Neil and Jeff are together). As the team sit around the table reviewing the action, let’s for fun, cast them with Tarentino regulars. Brad Pitt plays Jeff (because Jeff wrote this and had first pick) Uma Thurman plays Neil (again because Jeff wrote this) Samuel L Jackson plays Graham (the sage, quick to violence when Marvel or Mel are mentioned too many times) Michael Madsen plays Phil aka Phil the Bear (a quiet type but never mention Green Book around him when he has a razor in his hand) Tim Roth plays Darren (a cool operator and always able to make money out of award schemes) Together they are the Kosher Boyos. Always ready for action when Jeff sorry Brad runs down 1917 (the film and the time Neil has to be home by). So if you wants an awards review show that doesn’t take itself too seriously check out the latest from the At The Flicks sorry Kosher Boyos team. After all, the only thing better than this podcast is a Royale With Cheese Enjoy.

“I think there's a lot of time, I totally feel out of my depth. This weekend being a prime example, I had to do three different events with the ‘Irishman' film lot, so you know - Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel and it's just like literally A. Someone pinch me and B. What the hell am I doing here?”In this episode, I talk to Edith Bowman. Edith is a broadcaster and writer and has been working in TV and Radio for nearly 20 years. Formerly a host on BBC Radio 1 and Virgin Radio, she has also presented many music and film-related TV shows like The Baftas and Glastonbury.Recently, she has successfully created her own podcast called 'Soundtracking', a weekly half-hour show where she interviews renown filmmakers about their musical influences and their choice of music in films. So, as you can imagine, I was super eager to talk to her and find out what it’s like to have such a varied career. What stood out for me was Edith’s passion for her job and her relentless pursuit to do the things she loves: Music & Film. It’s her strong internal guiding voice that’s clearly helped her navigate the world of showbusiness, which as she confesses has not always been easy. In fact, she is refreshingly honest about all the different types of rejections she’s received over the years and how she’s overcome them. We talk about the fact that when she first started out, she was told she could never be a radio host because of her thick Scottish accent. And of course, that’s not the case and Edith has gone on to interview countless famous celebrities, including Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro just to name a few. Her accent is now her trademark and often breaks the ice with the people she interviews, with Joaquin Phoenix recently attempting to imitate it.We also chat about her feeling nervous and blagging it, to my surprise Edith confesses that she still gets extremely nervous and sometimes even feels out of her depth when doing interviews – who would have thought it! But of course, this doesn’t show and she reveals her tricks on how she is able to use that nervous energy to push on with the interview. We cover so many different subjects and to say that I enjoyed my conversation would be an understatement. In fact, our chat goes on for a tad longer than usual but completely worth it.

Also für alles alles. This Week: Your hosts Audy and Elvin are joined by their friends and fellow cinephiles,Bryant Foster and Warren James. First all four guys review Edgar Wright's new Heist/Comedy crime film 'Baby Driver' - Elvin, Warren and Bryant all give it a Hell Yeah because of its combination of visceral action scenes and usage of music, whereas Audy thought Edgar Wright was trying to hard to replicate Quentin Tarentino, and was a pale imitation to a much superior same genre movie 'Drive. Next Audy, conducts an exit survey of Baby Driver by asking questions to the rest of the panelists, such as exactly "On a scale of 1 to 10 how punchable is Ansel Egort's face?". Then Lastly, Warren, Audy and Elvin review the Columbia Pictures/Marvel Studios joint venture - "Spiderman: Homecoming. Warren and Elvin gave it a "Hell Yeah" review, while Audy gave it a "Hell No" and felt that Spider-man deserved a better movie than what was given with the disjointed action scenes, banal music score along with very rough amateur direction from Jon Watts.  This week's guests hosts:    1. Bryant Foster  2. Warren James  Film Ratings   Baby Driver - 2.0 stars and "Hell No" don't go see it! (Audy)                     3.5 stars and "Hell Yeah" go see it! (Elvin)                      3.5 stars and "Hell Yeah" go see it! (Bryant)                      3.0 stars and "Hell Yeah" go see it!
