Hello Friends,This week's episode is incredibly special to me. I'm joined by Lee Strobel, whose book The Case for Christ played a huge role in reigniting my faith back in college. Getting to sit down with him felt like a full-circle moment—and I can't wait for you to hear this conversation. Lee shares his personal journey from atheism to belief, and we dive into the fascinating topic of the supernatural side of our faith. Here are four key takeaways from this episode:Lee explains how miracles, dreams, and near-death experiences can deepen our faith and point to the truth of God's presence.Helping our kids truly know Scripture equips them to grow in faith and navigate the world confidently.Parents need to model and teach their kids how to ask hard questions and defend their faith with both truth and grace.Lee's story reminds us that belief in Jesus is not blind—it's grounded in reason, evidence, and personal transformation.Lee Strobel is a former award-winning legal editor for The Chicago Tribune who became a Christian after investigating the claims of Christianity. He's the bestselling author of The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith, and his latest book, Seeing the Supernatural, which explores spiritual encounters from a biblical worldview. Today, Lee is passionate about helping others discover the truth of the gospel. This conversation will equip and encourage you as a parent to raise kids who love Jesus, trust his Word, and stand firm in their faith. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. With love,Steph(00:00) Introduction to Lee Strobel and His Journey(02:48) The Supernatural: A New Exploration(05:59) Investigating the Supernatural Realm(09:04) Miracles and Documented Evidence(12:03) Supernatural Dreams and Their Impact(14:57) Near-Death Experiences and Visions(18:11) Teaching Kids About the Supernatural(21:04) The Importance of Biblical Literacy(23:59) Encouragement for Parents(26:51) Conclusion and ResourcesConnect with LeeLeeStrobel.comLee Strobel X Seeing the Supernatural bookResources MentionedCase for Christ for Kids The Case for Christ Student EditionMarriage SimplifiedNIV Application BibleThe Christian Parenting Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. His internship at the University of Minnesota was a transformative experience. He faced multiple injuries that complicated his recovery process. Zach developed a personalized jumper's knee protocol based on research and self-education. Communication with coaches was crucial for managing his injury and training. He critiqued traditional physical therapy methods for being too standardized and ineffective. Zach found success in using specific exercises that targeted his knee pain. He emphasized the psychological impact of dealing with chronic pain and injury. Zach's experience led him to help others with similar injuries through education and support. He believes in the importance of critical thinking in rehabilitation and recovery. Zach had to gauge his pain threshold during activities. Initial sharp pain in the knee indicated a possible partial tear. Tendinopathy symptoms developed over time with different sensations. Isometrics provided pain relief for Zach for several months. Athletes often face resistance from trainers when seeking alternative rehab methods. Zach's recent knee injury was a result of heavy eccentric loading. Effective rehab requires finding the highest possible entry point. Rehabilitation should focus on loading the muscle, not just the joint. Zach's approach includes using RPR and square one techniques. Rehab is about applying proven methods to individual cases. Ground substance in tendons consists of proteoglycans and water. Aging leads to a loss of spring-like properties in tendons. Pathology in tendons can develop long before pain is felt. General health significantly impacts tendon health. Weight gain adds extra load on tendons, increasing injury risk. High blood sugar can stiffen tendons due to sugar cross-links. Dietary choices can influence tendon health and recovery. Collagen supplementation may benefit tendon health, especially if deficient in nutrients. Environmental factors like circadian rhythms can affect tendon recovery. A holistic approach is essential for optimal tendon health. Hunting in steep terrains exacerbated his patellar tendon issues. Sitting for long hours at work contributed to his knee pain. He explored various treatments including PRP and stem cell injections. The 10x procedure was recommended to address scar tissue in his tendon. Physical therapy played a crucial role in his recovery process. Isometric exercises helped him engage his quad muscle effectively. Gibson found that consistent loading improved his knee condition. He realized the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment for tendinopathy. Gibson's journey highlights the need for tailored rehabilitation strategies. Isometric exercises can provide immediate pain relief. Leg extensions have been particularly effective for Gibson. Rehabilitation is a gradual process that requires patience. Setting athletic goals can motivate recovery efforts. Flare-ups are a normal part of the healing journey. Strength training plays a crucial role in recovery. Listening to your body is essential during rehabilitation. Avoid falling for quick-fix solutions for tendon pain. Maintaining a healthy diet can support recovery. Engaging in activities you love, like hunting, can be challenging but rewarding. Join us as we continue our journey through the book of Genesis, exploring God's partnership with a specific family to bring His redemption plan to humanity. This week, we shift our focus from Joseph to Judah—one of Jacob's twelve sons—and discover how his story is a reflection of our own. Judah's journey is filled with mistakes, deception, and broken relationships, yet through ownership and repentance, his legacy becomes part of God's redemptive plan. No matter how big our mistakes, God does not require perfection—only a willingness to recognize, own, and turn from our sin. If you're struggling with past mistakes or at a crossroads in life, this message is for you. There is no condemnation for those in Christ—only freedom and restoration when we surrender to Him.00:00 - Welcome & Introduction to Genesis Series 00:25 - The Partnership Between God & Abraham 00:54 - Abraham's Mistake & The Promise of Isaac 01:57 - Isaac & Rebecca's Sons: Esau & Jacob 02:27 - Jacob's Deception & His Journey to Laban 02:57 - The Story of Leah, Rachel, & Jacob's Family 04:50 - Judah's Story Begins – A Reflection of Our Own 07:08 - The Reality of Mistakes & Their Consequences 09:12 - Joseph, Judah, & The Power of Recognition 10:47 - Selling Joseph into Slavery – The Depth of Betrayal 12:37 - Judah's Personal Downfall & The Road to Timna 15:38 - Tamar's Bold Move & Judah's Moment of Truth 18:32 - The Turning Point – Recognizing & Owning Sin 25:16 - Judah's Transformation & The Lineage of Jesus 29:54 - God's Grace: No Condemnation in Christ 32:08 - A Call to Repentance & Restoration 33:36 - Closing Prayer & Invitation to Receive Prayer 36:00 - Final Blessing – Walk in Freedom & Right Relationship

How is it that today's church can read a Bible rooted in Israel, focused on a Jewish Messiah, and authored by Jewish voices, yet somehow feel disconnected from the Jewish story? Have we really allowed the narrative of God's chosen people to end 2,000 years ago, when in reality, it's just getting good? In this episode, "How Does A Church Stand With Israel?" we dig into the undeniable link between our faith and the ongoing story of Israel - a story still unfolding and intensifying in ways that truly demand our attention. With longtime friend Pastor Jeremy Mercer of Connection Church in Corona, CA, we look at what it means to stand with Israel as a church. Jeremy shares how his church actively supports and prays for the Jewish people, building a community that stands with Israel not out of politics but as a fulfillment of biblical promises. Together, we walk through strategies for making Israel a priority in our own churches and why, now more than ever, this matters deeply. On the other side of this conversation, you'll have a better idea of how to embrace God's promises for Israel and move from passive awareness to active blessing. Key Points: Faith in Action: Pastor Jeremy emphasizes how his church's love for Israel goes beyond words, actively supporting and praying for the Jewish people. Scriptural Foundation: The importance of understanding scripture in context, seeing the connection between Old and New Testaments, and grasping the Jewish roots of the faith. Genuine Connection: Through long-lasting friendships and community support, Pastor Jeremy illustrates the power of relationships in ministry. Responding to Current Events: Reflecting on the significance of supporting Israel during turbulent times, especially following recent events in Israel. Teaching Contextually: The need for pastors to preach boldly on Israel's role in God's plan, countering replacement theology and embracing the full narrative of scripture. Pull Quotes: "Without the Jewish story, we miss the full picture of God's love story for His people." "Our role as the church is not political but biblical when it comes to standing with Israel." "Supporting Israel is more than a stance, it's a journey of faithfulness to God's promises."
