With Confetti In Our Hair: Celebrating The Artistry & Music Of Tom Waits
To ring in Season 9, the Dream Regime tackles one of Tom's favorite subjects, the Vagabond, and all those who don't fit in to the straight and narrow, like the mysterious 19th century french Leather Man, who circled the same 365 mile northeastern route every year. That's right, it sounds just like a story worthy of a Coen Brothers film starring none other than...Monsieur Waits! And to top it all off, there's a riveting surprise reading by The Scherm from Kerouacs' "The Vanishing American Hobo," and a bit o' wisdom from the Fairy Podmother -" it's good to have a home and to also be free." Enjoy this chaco canyon full 3 Theme Song Episode folks, feel the love!!

We are excited to bring you this episode of the #squarepizzapod. To kick off year 3, Greg is in conversation with Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues. He is also known as the Godfather of Smallball. He played 14 seasons in the NBA, with 10 of those being with our beloved Charlotte Hornets. One fun fact about Muggsy is that he was a wrestler in high school and how that sport influenced his basketball career. In this episode:Muggsy's reflection on spending 14 seasons in the NBAStories and insights covered in his new memoirThe work of the Muggsy Bogues Family FoundationHis first love in sports (hint: not basketball)Why square pizza reminds him both of UNC basketball and cheese...Muggsy Bogues is vital to the NBA that he transcends the game itself, as seen by how the game is now played. We hope you guys enjoy this episode! Bio:Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland played for the legendary high school team, the Dunbar Poets who won 59 consecutive games and ranked as one of the top high school teams in the United States. Bogues went on to graduate from Wake Forest where the school later retired his jersey number. Muggsy was selected 12th in the first round of the NBA draft by the Washington Bullets. He retired from the NBA ranking 16th among all-time assist leaders. He gained plenty of attention with his unique ball-handling skills; he could maintain a legal dribble so close to the ground that his knuckles dragged on the floor and with his high jumper range of 44-inch leaps on the court. Throughout his career, he stayed busy starting in commercials and major productions like Space Jam, Eddie, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Muggsy retired from professional play ranking at number 16 among all-time assist leaders in the NBA and still remains the shortest player in history. Since leaving the NBA, Muggsy has worked with his nonprofit the Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation based in Charlotte, NC where he resides with his family.
