Color Rhapsodies is a series that, at least up to this point, has mostly been a Silly Symphonies ripoff tonally, with overly cutesy aesthetics and little substance. There's been exceptions, but for the most part they've stayed away from more gag-focused fare or more dramatic storytelling. So today, we're going to look at two cartoons, one that's very gag-focused and one that's very dramatic! Entre la K-Pop, les polars coréens, les séries coréennes, le pays du Matin frais a réussi à faire comme le Japon dans les années 80 et 90. Elle impose son soft Power à une jeunesse occidentale qui répond de plus en plus présente. Cependant une question demeure ; pourquoi la science-fiction sud-coréenne n'arrive pas à s'imposer à l'inverse de la science-fiction chinoise et de la science-fiction japonaise ? Seul le réalisateur Bong Joon-ho arrive à exporter sa science-fiction en faisant un habile mélange entre la culture sud-coréenne et le cinéma de science-fiction américain. Pour rappel la SF émerge au début du XXIe siècle. Elle débute avec les premières traductions issues de Jules Vernes et HG. Wells. Elle ne se développe pas par le biais de la littérature pour différentes raisons comme les différentes guerres que va traverser la Corée. Elle va renaitre dans les années 80 grâce à la démocratisation du pays qui va traduire des classiques qui n'ont jamais été publiés comme Isaac Asimov ou Ursula K. Leguin. The boys drink and review Pigweed's holiday beer, then discuss a few odd stories from Hans Christian Anderson (starting at 4:33). Although he wrote a lot of other works, it's the fairy tales that made Anderson famous. Some of them are very well known, like The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling, The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina, The Emperor's New Clothes, and others. P&C aren't interested in these, but in Anderson's weirder stories, so they review and discuss "The Steadfast Tin Soldier," "The Traveling Companion," and "The Tinder Box." But in the spirit of the holidays they also review some of his Christmas stories: The Little Match Girl and The Fir Tree.

This story reminds us that we must not overlook suffering. May all of us be careful to observe and care for those who are in need. Support the show

الغامضة. يعود أصل الـ (cyberpunk)  إلى الأدب الخيال العلمي الذي ظهر في الستينات والسبعينات من القرن الماضي، ولكنه انتشر وازدهر في الثمانينات والتسعينات، وذلك بفضل العديد من الأعمال الشهيرة التي تناولت هذا الموضوع، مثل رواية "نيرومانسر" للكاتب وليام جيبسون التي صدرت في عام 1984.تعريف (cyberpunk)تأتي كلمة "سايبربانك" أو "سايبربونك" (Cyberpunk) من مزيج بين كلمتين:الأولى هي "سايبرنيتيكس" (Cybernetics) وهي تعني دراسة النظم الآلية والحيوية والتفاعل بينها.يشير مصطلح "سايبرنيتيكس" (Cybernetics) إلى دراسة النظم والآليات والتفاعلات بين الأجزاء المختلفة في الأنظمة الحيوية والآلية. ويتضمن هذا المصطلح فهم We also mention a fun fact about this song in our Trivia section in the podcast. Children of Men - Schmidt was concerned they hit a car in a neighborhood where it looked like they filmed Children of Men. Children of Men is a 2006 dystopian action thriller film co-written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón. The screenplay was based on P. D. She founded a non-profit charity and in 2014 was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.When Jess and Nick are agreeing that they shouldn't live together, they mention both the pilgrims and the Plymouth Rock Massacre.Plymouth Rock - While there wasn't actually a massacre, Plymouth Rock is the site that marked where the Plymouth Colony was founded in December of 1620 when the Mayflower landed in the “New World”.Pilgrim - A pilgrim is used to describe a traveler who goes on a journey to a holy place. The first storytelling is a sorrowful Christmas tale called “The Little Match Girl” by Hans Christian Anderson and is about a poor little girl who chooses to stay out in the cold to avoid going home and about her hopes and her dreams. Louise Ward of Wardinis Bookshop in Havelock North reviews The Little Match Girl Strikes Back by Emma Carroll, published by Simon & Schuster.

Raul Gomez, longtime publisher of the High Plains Reader in Fargo recalls rushing to put the paper to bed by midnight so they could drive over to Ralphs' Corner Bar in Moorhead to cap off the week. Ralph's was a fixture of the music scene in northwest Minnesota, drawing big names from the punk and indie music scene. The bar was demolished in 2005. Gomez says he was pleased with the way the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County paid homage to the venue in its Ralph's Corner Bar exhibit at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. Each of the four rooms in the exhibit “captures different styles and vibes of Ralph's.” One of the exhibit's four rooms looks like the bar itself, complete with wood paneling, booths, and a wall that looks like a pool table. Other rooms record memories of patrons and pay homage to its musical history, including instruments, band memorabilia and posters. The exhibit is on view through June 25. Musician Sarah Larsson can't wait to get on the dance floor at the Minneapolis Afrobeats Dance Party Saturday at the Cedar Cultural Center, featuring some of her favorite local DJs and artists. Fanaka Nation, an Afropop/Afrotrap artist, is hosting. DJ Fawzi, whom Larsson calls the “go-to greatest Somali woman DJ in town,” will do a set, along with DJ K-Little and a live performance from singer/songwriter Carolyne Naomi, who recently released a new EP. Larsson loves the energy of these performers. This is an all-ages event. Doors open at 7 p.m. for an 8 p.m. show. If you're looking for unusual musical theater productions this holiday, Minneapolis actor Anissa Lubbers recommends “Striking 12,” a musical inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's story “The Little Match Girl.” Set on a cold, contemporary New Year's Eve, an overworked businessman plans to hunker down alone at home when he encounters a woman selling holiday lights who is determined to spark some holiday joy. Lubbers enjoys that the band providing the music, GrooveLily, also interacts with the performers on stage. “Striking 12” runs through Dec. 18 at the Gremlin Theatre in St. Paul. The show was staged by Minneapolis Musical Theatre, which specializes in rare musicals.

It is also an indictment of the evils of rampant capitalism that disregards community and kindness.
