Eric & Eliza RobertsTake a walk with me down Fascination Street, as I get to know Eric & Eliza Roberts. You know Eric from over 800 acting projects: including The Pope Of Greenwich Village, Runaway Train, The Specialist, The Righteous Gemstones, Star 80, King of the Gypsies, and several hundred more. You know his wife Eliza from many, many projects like: The Howdy Doody Show, Animal House, Lois & Clark, and Dr. Who; as well as casting and producing in a myriad of other film and television projects. In this episode, we get to know where and how each of them grew up, and what got them into the industry. We also get to hear their love story. I love finding out how couples met, and this is a great story! Next, we launch into everything from movies and TV shows, and their experiences on those sets. Eliza shares stories of trying to help spouses & girlfriends of actors feel more comfortable with their partners doing love scenes. Eric shares behind the scenes stories on the sets of The Specialist (with Sylvester Stallone), and The Expendables. Eric then gets Eliza to share stories of helping get George Clooney cast in E.R, and even helping to convince John Travolta to accept his role in Quinton Tarantino's Pulp Fiction! We discuss Eliza's kids (Eric's step kids); one has Pi Bakeshop in Los Angeles, and the other is a VERY accomplished musician. Naturally, we discuss Eric's experiences on the most recent season of Dancing With The Stars, and Eliza explains how KISS's Gene Simmons helped shorten Eric's time in the competition. Lastly, we talk about the book! 'Runaway Train: Or, The Story Of My Life So Far' is Eric Robert's memoir (with Sam Kashner). We chat about why he decided to write the book, and how much help Eliza was in getting him to do it, and actually getting it made. This is a real Hollywood POWER COUPLE! They share the workload, and the credit. It was super sweet getting to see them pass the credit to each other.

According to IMDb Hippo, a peculiar adolescent, and his Hungarian step-sister Buttercup struggle to come of age in late 1990s America, under the roof of a mother who has been institutionalized at least once. The film was directed by Mark H. Rapaport, who co-wrote the film with Kimball Farley, who was the lead actor in the film. It also stars Lilla Kizlinger, Eliza Roberts, Jesse Pimentel, Vann Barrett and is narrated by Eric Roberts. This certainly proves to be true for filmmakers Summer Moore (creator, writer, lead actress) and Starr Session (producer). When Covid caused the world to lock down, these creative gals got busy building a new web series that chronicles and finds humor in the often painful experience of virtual dating in a new age. This series is produced, written, directed and edited by women!“I felt that it was really important to write a series that incorporated women in as many character roles as possible, which was a challenge since it was about dating men. So you'll see them popping up throughout it. I also specifically put the language in there to focus on women, changing common sayings to make them feminine. We also wanted to give women editors a voice in comedy, because this is often overlooked. I'm very proud of all the hard work that has gone into this series and how it turned out!”- Summer Moore”We wanted to create a series that really captures the female dating experience and having an all-female creative team really does it in the truest sense while adding lots of humor. Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee actor Eric Roberts joins addiction specialist Dr. G to explore how he has used this past year to promote positive changes in his life, and connect with his wife, Eliza. Dr. G and Eric talk about the importance of connection for recovering addicts, especially during COVID-19 when the risk of relapse is high due to isolation and increased anxiety. Eric shares how he has remained grounded and inspired this year with gratitude for simple pleasures in his life– “It's a great time to explore, or re-explore your whole situation.” Eliza Roberts joins Dr. G with Eric to give us a peek into the Meisner technique for actors. The Hollywood couple loves rehearsing and coaching as much as they love acting. Eliza directs Eric and Dr. G in a scene from an upcoming movie in which Eric will be starring. The heartfelt scene between father and son highlights the emotional difficulties substance abuse places on a family. Eliza and Eric demonstrate how powerful the Meisner technique is in teaching us to listen and connect, both as actors and in our day to day lives. Dr. G: Engaging Minds brings you the journeys of extraordinary people who have struggled with addiction, and transformed their lives into something passionate. Host Dr. G, Dr. Howard Gluss, is a clinical psychologist based in Los Angeles, CA. His own journey as psychologist, radio host and addiction coach has allowed him to help many people all over the world discover their passion to thrive in sobriety. Dr. G leads the initiative Heroes in Sobriety to give “heroes” in recovery the opportunity to share their stories of transformation, and become inspirations to others struggling with addiction. https://drgshow.com --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/beondtv/support

President Donald J. Trump Invites African American Stars to White House after Heart-to-Heart Conversation Los Angeles - November 1, 2020 – A prominent group of African American actors and entertainers have accepted President Donald J. Trump’s invitation to visit the White House in December to work together on important issues facing the Black Community. In a late-night night phone call with the President Saturday night, rappers Eric B. and Money-B, actor Isaiah Washington, who are among the stars in Trump vs. Hollywood, and film director Daphne Barak, all agreed to continue their discussion of economic opportunity, criminal justice reform and the President’s groundbreaking “Platinum Plan” to deliver greater opportunity, security, prosperity and fairness to their communities. “Thirty years ago I had a conversation with Donald Trump and he told me never to be afraid to hire the best people in business, even if they have more experience than me,” said rap pioneer Eric B., a lifelong Democrat. “And that conversation has shaped my business decisions ever since. I am pleased that President Trump is willing to have this uncomfortable conversation about how we can help the black community close the wealth gap.” “President Trump took the time to get on the phone with us after a long day with four campaign rallies and I took that to mean he cares about our concerns,” said Money-B. “It’s refreshing, and a good beginning. We want to get to work.” “I know firsthand what the Fake News media can do to a person, and I see what they keep trying to do to President Trump,” said Isaiah Washington. “I’m now solidly with President Trump and I’m liking what I’m seeing in the results already.” “We filmed a documentary in real time during the pandemic, and with so much going on from the coronavirus to George Floyd, we wanted to hear from both sides of the political spectrum,” said film executive producer and director Daphne Barak. “We spoke with a variety of celebrities and a common theme among many was “Can we just talk?” We are pleased that President Trump took time from his packed schedule to talk and listen. All people on the call felt that he really wants to have an open conversation with the Black community.” The artists had just completed a sneak preview of Barak’s documentary, Trump vs. Hollywood, which is an examination of the divisions in America and an attempt to bring opposing ideologies together for a long-overdue civil discussion. Barak interviewed 24 Hollywood stars, musicians, rappers and notable figures from both sides of the political spectrum during the pandemic about their candid feelings regarding President Trump and America. In addition to Eric B., Money-B, Isaiah Washington, and Glen “Big Baby” Davis, who was unable to join Saturday’s call but will be joining the White House meeting in December, Trump vs. Hollywood includes: musician Kid Rock, vocalist Andrea Bocelli, actor Scott Baio, actor Dean Cain, actor Robert Davi, actress Kristy Swanson, actor Kevin Sorbo, actress and author Sam Sorbo, musician Ted Nugent, actor Eric Roberts, actress and casting director Eliza Roberts, director Brett Ratner, rapper Too Short (who has also been invited to the December meeting), producer Avi Lerner, Hollywood lawyer Mark Geragos, actor and reality star Claudia Jordan, actor and reality star Lorenzo Lamas, radio host Bill Whittle, and comedian DeRay Davis. Trump vs. Hollywood premieres on December 14 across streaming platforms including Amazon, Apple TV, and Google. For a limited time, ahead of the election, a sneak preview of Trump vs. Hollywood is available for rent on Vimeo. Yeah, it's getting good, now. Well, how about we mix that up into a great big pot of weirdness called LOVE IS A GUN, featuring fingered brain holes, defiled weddings dresses, and all sorts of crazy twists? I KNOW. CAN IT GET ANY BETTER?! Well, yeah! We also talk about an episode of FRASIER, just to send this sucker to the stratosphere. STOP READING, DUMMY. IT'S TIME TO LISTEN! Consarn it, it's Eric Roberts is the Man 17 and this dadburn episode features two classic, timeless WESTERNS featuring – you guessed it – ERIC ROBERTS! To avoid being dumfungled, we're joined by writer and podcaster ROB TRENCH, who delights and entertains us as we look at the made-for-TNT supernatural western PURGATORY – with an all-star cast including SAM SHEPARD, RANDY QUAID, DONNIE “Donnie Don” WAHLBERG and ERIC ROBERTS. If that wasn't enough star power, we follow it up with 2003's THE LONG RIDE HOME starring RANDY TRAVIS as a mustachioed outlaw who is being hunted down by ERNEST BORGNINE. Also, ERIC ROBERTS is there! YEE-HAW! As always, check out ERIC ROBERTS IS THE MAN on Twitter, or come chat ER (or anything else) on our Facebook group. I've yet to see it, but I've been told by multiple sources that it features a delightfully unhinged Eric Roberts performance – and those are my favorite kind! We'll be fast-tracking that one onto the podcast, so look for it soon. ————————– I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that both the ERITFM Twitter account and my own personal account was recently followed by the lovely and talented Eliza Roberts – wife and manager to Eric Roberts. They are smart, they are gorgeous, they are talented and they are the wives and ex-wives of some of Hollywood's Prince Charmings. Join us Wednesday, December 12, 3-4 pm ET when The Halli Casser-Jayne Show, Talk Radio for Fine Minds speaks with Hollywood wives: Alana Stewart once married to George Hamilton and Rod Stewart; Eliza Roberts, wife of Hollywood hunk Eric Roberts and sister-in-law of Julia; Daphne Wayans the newest star of Hollywood Exes and ex-wife of Keenen Ivory Wayans; and the irrepressible Joan Benedict Steiger, wife of the late Academy Award winner Rod Steiger, each woman a force in her own right. They are Hollywood's Cinderellas who marry their Prince Charmings, but as in all of our lives, there is the proverbial wicked stepmother – life – that challenges their happily ever after. Who are these women who land the Big Catch? What makes them tick? How do they cope when they wake up from the Hollywood Dream and are met with the reality of life that doesn't necessarily deliver on happily ever after.
