Today I'm thrilled to get to introduce to you: MK ULTRA and Project Stargate survivor and whistleblower, targeted individual, podcaster, musician, athlete and former Virginia Tech all-American running back, entrepreneur, mental health advocate, and hometown hero from the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA: Tommy Edwards aka: Touchdown Tommy!Tommy's story begins in childhood after a strange series of events led to him bumping into a CIA remote viewer at Tasty Freeze in his hometown of Radford, VA who put him into the Stargate program. Years later in 2005, he met an old blind man who would change the trajectory of his life by reintroducing a number of concepts to Tommy's front personality that he had been extensively trained in as a child and young adult under hypnosis, sedation and trance states that he's just beginning to understand as being his alters. This old man would gradually prophesize something tragic was going to happen in Tommy's hometown and after another series of events that wouldn't make sense until later, Tommy moved home to VA to help his father - who, like Tommy, was a college football phenom at Virginia Tech where they both wore the number 33 and where Tommy earned the nickname, Touchdown Tommy. After heading home in the beginning of April 2007, a headline on the TV stopped Tommy in his tracks: “33 Dead at Virginia Tech”. This was when Tommy began speaking out publicly about mental health and the beginning of his journey weaving together the tapestry of his double-life and piecing together the people, places and things that never made sense… until now. I'm honored to have Tommy as another strong male leading the survivor movement. He's a man of many accolades - too many to put into a short introduction, but what I do want to note is that Tommy still isn't free. You will hear of the strange events that took place in Tommy's childhood today and what you will also discover is that Tommy, like many survivors you've heard on this show, isn't free even though he broke free of what held him captive as a child. He is still targeted, gang-stalked, and is still being victimized. And this is why it's so important for survivors like Tommy to speak out. We need to bring attention to the entirety of a survivor's testimony and the real dangers they face just for opposing evil and speaking out against it. I'm thrilled for us all to learn from Tommy and ask that you all put away whatever you are doing and give him your full attention. We are going to be diving deep into some rabbit holes today! Former All-American basketball player, Olympian, Rhodes Scholar and United States Congressman Tom McMillen chats with League of Fans' sports policy director Ken Reed in this episode. The two talk about Tom's decision to delay his NBA career by accepting a Rhodes Scholarship to attend Oxford University. The discussion then turns to the state of college athletics today, given the pressures of NIL, the transfer portal, sports gambling and huge media contracts. Reed switches the topic to the poor state of physical fitness our young people are experiencing today. McMillen provides great perspective on this issue given his long involvement with the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (now called the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition). Other topics include the "Jungle of Youth Sports," as McMillen has called them, the profit-at-all-costs nature of sports in this country; why we use taxpayer money to fund new sports palaces for wealthy owners, instead of funding programs that create broad-based sports participation in this country; the lack of a national sports commission or sports ministry in the United States; and why our National Governing Bodies (NGBs) for sports don't -- or can't -- fulfill their mandate to promote "sports for all" in America.

James will serve as grad assistant at Ohio State as well, while working with the linebackers. This seems like a great opportunity for everyone involved. Episode 126 features Maybelle Blair and Shirley Burkovich, former All American Girls Professional Baseball League players who inspired the movie, A League of Their Own and Amy Mills, known as the heiress of barbecue Maybelle Blair and Shirley Burkovich are women who loved playing baseball, were great at it, and were excited to have the opportunity to make money doing it. If you are a fan of the movie, A League of Their Own which reintroduced America to the real-life All American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) then you will enjoy listening to their wonderful stories. Ask Maybelle how she is and she will say, "Pretty good for this old gal, and it is a good day when you wake up on this side of the grass." Shirley played for three AAGPBL teams from 1949-1951, one of which is the famous Rockford Peaches. Maybelle served as inspiration for the character, Mae Mordabito aka All the Way Mae played in the film by Madonna. Ask Maybelle how much Madonna's character resembled her, and she will say not that much, but then Shirley pipes in affirming that the characterization fit Maybelle extremely well. It is that back and forth good-natured ribbing that is so enjoyable and makes one appreciate the special bond they share. At 95 and 89 years of age, they are not even close to letting up from achieving their dream of raising money for a women's baseball museum to be built in Rockford, Illinois. Go to https://www.internationalwomensbaseballcenter.org/donate/ to make a donation or to learn more. Amy Mills is known as a barbecue heiress as she is the daughter of champion pitmaster and Barbecue Hall of Fame inductee, Mike Mills, who was affectionately known as "The Legend." Getting to everything was impossible, but we tried to at least scratch the surface with a conversation that included stories on the books she co-authored with her dad, including James Beard Foundation award-nominated and National Barbecue Association Award of Excellence winner, Peace, Love, and Barbecue and the book, Praise the Lard. We talked about her incredible presentation at The Welcome Conference, which is labeled on YouTube as Amy Mills-Recognizing Right. Amy explained the three principles which apply to her business, which include the two 17th Street Barbecue restaurants and Oncue Consulting: (1) Generosity is a recipe for success. (2) Barbecue is a culture, not a concept. (3) Home is the most excellent place of all. Amy did not always want to be in the family business, but she came back, is happy she did and credits a yellow post-it note for the push. There is even a story involving George Wendt who played Norm on the TV show Cheers. Former All-American strong safety and Bison great Colten Heagle joins Swany and Joe for a freewheeling conversation on everything from winning four national championships, what it's like to deal with a season-ending knee injury, and the role strong leadership plays within North Dakota State's high-performing culture. With Bison defensive end and All-American Greg Menard going down over the weekend with a season-ending knee injury, Heagle provides a unique perspective on how the Bison deal with injuries and what "next man up" really means. The Appleton, Wisconsin native, who now works at Choice Financial in Fargo, also offers a "hot take" on UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen's recent claim that it's impossible to be a serious student and a college athlete at the same time, and offers his thoughts on the best Bison defense of all-time. Colten and the guys round out their discussion by talking about the Bison Football Players Association and the cool things former NDSU football players are doing to stay connected.
"Either you slinging crack rock, or you got a wicked jump shot!" - Biggie Smalls Hopefully, none of y'all are slinging crack rock. Right?! LOL Many have a wicked jump shot...a strong arm, the ability to hit the hole or defend over the top, run the court, track a fly ball or hit it a mile. But then what? But Things Done Changed Biggie Smalls It's not longer enough to simply have a wicked jump shot. It's not enough to use your athletic talent to get out the hood. Rather, we need to leverage that talent to stay paid...for generations. Biggie Smalls was right: sports presents a surefire way to make it out of the hood. But like I said on Chicken George Economics, we have to have a strategic plan that will not only make us free but also keep us free! With all of the money in sports, and with the emphasis on College athletes, AAU, Travel Ball, Pop Warner et al, the question becomes: are you leaving money on the table? Former All American & Syracuse University Running Back George A. Scott joins me on this episode to speak about how athletes and their parents can best prepare for the power that comes from "the game." Share Your Response! How are you preparing to harness the power beyond the sport, that comes from being an athlete? Let us know: would you like George to share more? Would you like him to create a way to work with your son or daughter while they're still in high school? Don't wait until you get your contract to consider building your brand! Join the exclusive group for brothers and sisters who truly endeavor to protect the legacy for which our parents sighed and advance the cause of freedom for which they sacrificed.
