I chose this particular parasite because my dog, Sweet Pea was diagnosed with it a few weeks ago despite having worm meds every month. We'll begin this story, as usual, with etiology and pathology. Whipworm is a parasitic roundworm. Its scientific name is Trichuris trichiura, it's phylum is Nematoda, Class Enoplea, Domain Eukaryota. It's in the Family Trichuridae, Genus Trichuris and Kingdom Animalia. The body of the worm is shaped like a whip with a long, thick handle-like structure at one end, the anus, that tapers off to a thin whip-like structure at the other end. But even a cursory overview of the events of 2010, however, makes for some unsettling reading. Without even touching on Politics and World Affairs, which have been "year-ended" to death (and are SUPER DEPRESSING!), let's just take Pop Culture for instance . . . Television- The Returning Champion of the Vapid Wasteland. People, there is nothing on . . . don't debate me on this, just put down the clicker and go outside or something. Books- Jonathan Franzen's "Freedom." The most beloved (see Oprah) book of the year turns out to be about...Nothing. Film- (Coen Bros., special category . . . doesn't count.) Otherwise, Oscar Buzz is furiously buzzing for Buzz Lightyear 3-3D, with the runner-up being a movie about a rich, white Royal Guy who overcomes a speech impediment (Oh, the Humanity!). WWW- I'm sure there are marvelous things being done on the Internet, but it's hard to imagine that they are happening on Facebook or Twitter. These were cases where the person suffered repeated defeat . . . as a Christian . . . in such areas as repeated sinful practice, lack of productivity, self depredation, or a false sense of inferiority. These were cases of sincere Christians who lived for the Lord, loved Him and feared Him, and who WANTED and KNEW they needed help. These were also cases where the person KNEW how to pray for the deliverance of others. One day, years ago, the Lord revealed to me how to share with people like this the principle of self deliverance. It was amazing. I trust this teaching will help you to help others achieve the COMPLETE FREEDOM the Master purchased with His BLOOD! This is a short, but very effective and useful, teaching. If the content of this message is not for you at this time, then save/file or print it out to have on hand so that you may access it in the future for someone who needs it. I have known cases where people have been "bogged down" in sin, poverty, or repeated defeat, and have been instantly delivered through using the information described in this teaching. You probably have never read the information contained in this teaching. The reason: lack of knowledge in this area. Other than the Lord Jesus Christ, WHAT PERSON can pray for someone with such compassion and determination - and intimate knowledge of the problem(s) involved - than one's self? Someone you know probably needs this message NOW. Think of someone you know who has had a repeated problem over a long period of time . . . or shorter, since having been born again . . . but has NOT received freedom from, or over, their problem. The content of this teaching may be the answer for them; however, there are CONDITIONS that apply:      1. They must be a born again believer;      2. They must believe in The Deliverer, Jesus: in His POWER and WILLINGNESS to deliver them;      3. They must know how to deliver others (even if they never have); and,      4. They must really want deliverance. MUSIC There are several examples of the practice of, and the provisionary promise for, deliverance in the Holy Bible, in the lives of Jesus, Paul and the apostles, and Christians today. Many of you are familiar with these, but for those people that aren't, I will describe some of them briefly here: JESUS "Then was brought unto Him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb [speechless]: and He healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both was then able to speak and see." [Matthew 12:22] In this case the combined conditions of being blind and dumb were probably the result of an evil spirit of affliction, as we know from this passage that the man had been possessed with a demon. Even in a Christian's life, although a demon is NOT possessing them - Christ is possessing them - their might be a case of a spirit of sickness afflicting them. Not in all cases, but in some cases! And the spirit can be dealt with successfully in the name of Jesus, thereby effecting their deliverance and resultant healing. "And Jesus rebuked the devil: and the demoniac being departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour." [Matthew 17:18] PAUL AND THE APOSTLES "And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation. And this she did many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour." [Acts 16:16-18] "And God worked special miracles by the hands of Paul: so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out from them." [Acts 19:11-12] NOTE: An afflicting spirit may be sent for other reasons than those examples above. It may have an assignment from the enemy to cause fear, a false sense of inferiority, or a lack of believing for success. It may be some SEEMINGLY SMALL stronghold that has kept the Christian from excelling, succeeding, or being productive over the years . . . or entrapped in a practice. MUSIC CHRISTIANS TODAY "And these signs shall follow THEM THAT BELIEVE, In My name shall they cast out demonic beings, they shall speak with new tongues . . ." [Mark 16:17] There are basically three (3) REASONS a person might want to utilize self deliverance.      1. They really want deliverance.      2. Nothing else has worked for them.      3. They keep having the same struggles and/or practicing the same unclean practices even though they INTENTLY REPENT after each instance. WHAT THEY NEED TO DO IN PREPARATION      1. Develop a REASON, a motive, for wanting deliverance. This is also something they can review, or reflect upon, from time to time to enforce the desire to remain free. Study "The Power of a Separated Life" by Apostle Handley. This may be obtained by going to the Archives in The Apostles Group and selecting this title dated February 14, 2004.      2. Know their deliverance is THE WILL of God and is part of Christ's ministry.      Jesus sent out his apostles to:           Preach and teach;           Heal; and,           Cast out demons. If a person knows Jesus Christ as their Lord, NO demon, NO evil spirit can have them! Jesus said, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." The Greek word here used for "indeed" [ontos] means "really, actually."      3. Study "How To Be Delivered" by Apostle Handley. This teaching may be obtained at www.realmiracles.org. This may also be accessed by login to The Apostles Group and going to the Archives. There you may select the newsletter titled "How To Be Delivered" dated July 21, 2002. (Or, type in the words "How To Be Delivered" in the "Search" box at the top of the Archives.) Deliverance belongs to the born again believer! To "deliver" is to "set free." Jesus said, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." [John 8:32] Some people are bound by demons (spirits) of infirmity, or sickness. Self deliverance may usually be effected in the same manner described below in the section "How To Minister Self Deliverance," especially with the "laying on of hands" being visualized in self deliverance. However, some cases are not resolved immediately because of "hindrances" to healing. These hindrances, as well as "gifts of healing" are covered fully in the unabridged book by Prince Handley titled: Health and Healing: Complete Guide to Wholeness. MUSIC There are also demon spirits which bind people financially, and in other areas of life. Good News: the BLOOD of Christ is effective in these areas - as in all areas - of life. In 2 Peter 1:4 we read that God has given to us "exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." One other solution that I have seen successful in problems of uncleanness or immorality . . . the person has to really be serious and KNOW what they're doing . . . is for the person to PROMISE God they will never take part in that practice, or habit, again. "When thou make a vow to God, defer not [put off or postpone] to pay it; for He has no pleasure in fools: pay that which you have vowed." [Ecclesiastes 5:4] HOW TO MINISTER SELF DELIVERANCE      1. See yourself in the midst of that problem.      2. See yourself laying hands on yourself, exorcizing the demon spirit(s) that oppress you.      3. See yourself delivered [free] from that problem. SUGGESTION: You can also use the above to BLESS YOURSELF scripturally. That is, releasing the blessings of God in and upon yourself based upon scriptural truths and promises and with right motives: to build yourself up that you might serve the Lord more effectively, edify the Body of Christ, and reach the world for Christ! Also, to be a blessing to your loved ones. This is NOT a "mind game;" nor is it new age meditation or visualization. You are actually and literally ministering deliverance and blessing to yourself . . . IN FAITH . . . and through the power of the Holy Spirit. However, instead of praying for someone else, you're SEEING yourself in that place. It works! Real miracles result where Jesus the Messiah receives ALL the glory and His Kingdom is extended through holiness. What I have shared with you in this teaching is POWERFUL. SUCCESS THROUGH ACTION  – PART 1 MUSIC / INTRO Action is the process of doing something to achieve an aim. Actions speak louder than goals because what one does means more than what one plans. Goals are good, but without action they are infertile and sterile. They are uninspired and uninventive. I believe in setting goals, and I have taught the importance of goal setting for 45 years. However, there are times in your life and ministry where you will have to FORCE YOUR SELF to take, or maintain, action. That is what this podcast is about! I want you to burn the following scriptures into your mind: “Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7) “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58) “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9) MUSIC There is a time to rest, there is a time to heal, there is a time to reflect, there is a time to regroup. However, let God lead you in these times. Be led of the Spirit in these times just as you are in the days of battle. Never quit! At The University of Excellence, of which I am President and Regent, I teach that we only regroup so that we may advance in battle more powerfully and effectively. Recently I have been studying the life of King David again. I felt as though I were with him. I almost cried when reading and reflecting upon the consequences of his sin. It is plain to see where David’s problem started: “And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.” (2 Samuel 11:1) Lust, adultery, murder, fourfold judgment on his family: these were the results of NOT going to war at the time of year when the other kings went to battle. In this podcast series about “Action,” I am going to help you make sure that NEVER happens in your life. MUSIC It is interesting to notice that things turned around for King David after HE turned around. In 2 Samuel 18:1-4 we read that, “David numbered the people that were with him, and set captains of thousands and captains of hundreds over them.” David then split the warriors up into three parts under the leadership of his top three generals, and said to the people, “I will surely go forth with you myself also.” But the people said to him, “You shall not go forth (with us) . . . for you are worth ten thousand of us . . . it is better that you aid us from the city.” And David answered, “What seems best to you I will do.” Notice that David’s intent was to go to battle with his army; this is what is important: the intent of the heart. He had learned his lesson the hard way. Never stop fighting, at least in the intent of your heart. You must MAINTAIN a “warrior” mentality. You must have spiritual and mental control of the situation at all times. Even in times of “R and R” (rest and recreation) you must maintain a warrior attitude and be listening to God for instructions about the future battle(s). Your job is to constantly appropriate victory through faith as you listen to and obey the voice of the Spirit for the glory of God. YOU CAN NOT STOP FIGHTING . . . EVER!!! IF YOU DON’T QUIT . . . YOU WILL WIN, BUT IF YOU QUIT, YOU CAN’T WIN! This is a message for many of God's workers. Many people either: 1. Have not fulfilled their heart's desires in their life's calling (including ministry desires); 2.  Are not enjoying their work (including ministry); or, 3.  Have been (or are being) beaten up by the enemy (and, sometimes by God’s children). MUSIC Whenever asked about the secret of his success, real estate developer and billionaire, Donald Trump, always answers, "Do what you enjoy!" It's true. We must be excited about our work . . . especially Christians and those in God's work. The purpose of this podcast series is to both CHALLENGE you and HELP you: 1. Enjoy your work; 2. Do what you want; and, 3. Maintain victory so that you can always take action. Be the person you always wanted to be . . . make it happen! King Solomon said, "There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul [enjoy] good in his labor. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God." (Ecclesiastes 2:24)  Many people are "stale" and not on the cutting edge because they do NOT enjoy their work. They love God but are lacking the anointing to be a "new sharp threshing instrument." (Isaiah 41:15) The enemy’s job is to get you discouraged, and then to lose your vision. If this describes you, I have some good news for you. If you will do what I teach you in this podcast, things will begin to change. Do some fasting, get alone, and seek God. Then, in the Spirit, tear down the walls that are limiting you. Take your authority, BELIEVE GOD for the things you once desired! Get back on track. Don't give up, and don't take LESS than the best! Remember, if you don't quit, you'll win ... but if you quit, you can't win! And if you donât understand that, then youâre missing out on some of the best poetry. Literary scholar Adam Bradley examines the style and poetry of hip-hop lyrics in his new book titled: Book of Rhymes, the Poetics of Hip-Hop. 'When a rapper's flow is fully realized,' he writes, 'it forges a distinctive rhythmic identity that is governed by both poetic and musical laws.'A hip-hop MCâthe one who sings or chantsâis a rhyme-maker and 'flow' is what an MC has when the rhymes lie easily on top of the rhythm. Rhyme in hip-hop means more than words that sound alike; spitting rhymes is waxing poetic is writing lyrics is storytelling. [Music]There's a structure there, things that are permitted and forbidden in the art form. Rules about accent, pitch, intonation, force. The conventions of poetry are all there.So, these hip-hop lyrics are complex. They are connected to each other across samples, across songs, across albums, across artists, across the decades. They could be mapped like a family tree because a good MC knows the hip-hop canon. [Music]And there is a canon, just as there is in literature.Bradley writes, 'Hip hop is haunted by this sense of tradition. It is a music whose death was announced soon after its birth, and the continuing reports of its demise seemingly return with each passing year.'The old school, the new school, everything that you see in the worlds of prose and in the worlds of poetryâthe complex relationships between creator and consumer, between colleagues and competitors, between art and businessâthose exist in hip-hop.Hip-hop may be the only place in America where poetry still rules, where it is savored and appreciated by a vast, educated audience.  Itâs  where great poetic skill is rewarded with respect, fame, and money, more often than is the case with the precious poetry you might find in tiny pamphlets near the bookstore register.
