Nuran in her own words: “Lover of road trips, the great outdoors, and all things natural; I feel truly free and content in the mountains. After giving up my corporate job in 2015, I embarked on a 7-week road trip through Europe with my two children in tow to visit friends and family. The kids were 3 and 6 years old at the time and I had no idea when I might go back to work, so wanted to make the most of our summer together. Since my husband wasn't able to join us due to work commitments – and because I'm not one for sitting at home during the summer holidays, I went on my own. Little did we know that what started as a spontaneous idea, would soon turn into the regular highlight of our year. Our road trip adventures have taken us across Europe and we fell in love with the Alps and the Scottish Highlands. This summer we are hoping to explore the Italian Dolomites not least because I really want us to try a Via Ferrata hike there. I'm a huge believer in “trying out new things” or “just going for it”. You can't truly know what you are capable of without trying it. This is especially amazing to witness with children when they've achieved something for the first time! With experience comes trust and self belief; these are the values that I try to instil in my kids. As Thomas Fuller once said, “All thing are hard difficult before they are easy.” Therefore, I've just launched my adventure & travel blog “www.growadventurously.com" where my mission is simple: I want to inspire mums to adventure solo with their kids; through adventure/travel tips & advice, itineraries and green & healthy lifestyle guides. ‘What you see as a problem, others could see as a solution' – The Innovation Station on why open innovation makes good business sense. “No matter how good you are, there are lots of other smart people out there. Collaborate with those outside your organisation and make use of their resources and skills to reach your customers.” That's the advice from leading expert Nuran Acur, Professor of Innovation Management at Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, on why businesses should collaborate openly with partners and industry, in the latest episode of InterTradeIreland's ‘Innovation Station' podcast. In a masterclass held at NUI Galway, the award-winning scholar unravels the ‘collaboration conundrum'. Her advice for businesses to achieve open innovation success, is to adopt an ‘open-minded approach and culture' and to combine with ‘internal and external readiness' - pointing to the importance of SMEs to also collaborate more on their internal processes to help deliver results. Discussing the business benefits of an open innovation strategy, Nuran says companies should go beyond their comfort zone in order to ‘reap the rewards' from both potential innovation partners and innovation networks. “Collaboration allows those who participate to discover new technologies and emerging markets. SMEs shouldn't be scared or sceptical about open innovation, as bigger companies and multinationals face a similar situation, they also want and need your help.” Addressing some of the worries businesses might have about open innovation, Nuran explains that businesses don't have to be ‘100 percent open' but can adopt a flexible strategy that works for them. “Businesses shouldn't worry about losing their identity or their ideas. There are different models of open innovation so pick one or a number of different models that work for you.”

Nuran Terzioğlu,1967 Vinetnam savaşında radyo dinlediği günlerden aklına takılan, yayını hiç birşey olmamış gibi bölen bir mide asidi ilacı reklamının ilhamı ile ortaya çıkan sergiyi anlatıyor. Uzatılan sergi 23 Ekim'e kadar görülebilir.
