If I could tell myself in 2004 what I know now in 2023, I would've avoided burnout and built a successful, six-figure online business in half time it actually took. 2004 The Idea: Look, here's the plan. You're gonna buy this domain, but you won't do jack shit with it. Then you'll have to re-buy it for a higher price in a few years. So buy the domain and use it ASAP. Build the site using WordPress. Keep the design clean and make sure it loads really fast. 2009: The Blackhat SEO Phase: Don't waste time building shitty backlinks to your shitty articles and don't use anything called Unique Article Wizard. All you have to do is write the best articles on pool care and publish them consistently. 2011: The First YouTube Video: You need to make at least one video a week. Publish consistently. Try different video styles. You don't need to be near a pool. Don't give up on YouTube. Every week. 2013: The Podcast: Just keep writing articles and making videos. And stop making those infographics. They don't work in the future. Your podcast won't be huge, but it'll be rewarding. Just stay focused on what your business does well. 2016: The Software Phase: Software will NEVER be your thing. You'll attempt to create and sell software over the next few years and fail every time. All of that time would be better spent working on Swim University. And now Roasty and Brew Cabin. 2017: The Airport: There was 2017 Matt staring down at his phone on the verge of tears. He must've just read the Amazon email saying commissions were getting cut to the bone. 2004: The Future: You're gonna make money selling banner ads and putting affiliate links on your site. But the most lucrative thing you'll do is create and sell your own products. Stay in your wheelhouse. Write articles, produce videos and design graphics. In 2013, you will create an e-book on how to take care of a hot tub. You won't know it, but that'll be the most important moment in your business. Just build your website on WordPress, make it load fast, do some keyword research, and publish articles and videos around them. Then, make a few digital products, like ebooks and video courses. Promote them on every page. Make this your focus and treat affiliate commissions as a bonus. If you do this consistently, you'll be successful in about 4 years or less.

Modern Times Beer Black House is a Stout by style. It's so great that you like coffee. I just love that about you. Speaking of which, you're holding an oatmeal coffee stout positively redolent with coffee aroma and flavor. It's not acrid. It's not astringent. It doesn't taste like that brown puddle at the bottom of the office carafe at 4pm. It kind of tastes like chocolate covered espresso beans, only drier and more like beer. It's the full-blown coffee beer experience in a sessionable-ish package. This craft beer is 5.8% ABV and 40 IBUs. In this craft beer review, we will take a look at the color, smell, and taste.

Rather than the binge drinking, amateur drunk night that is normally an American St. Patrick’s Day, the studio is treated like a true pub where days gone by and hopes for the future are discussed. Bryan and Matt are joined by Sarah to relax into some red beers and chat about the upending of the industry on this day a year ago, how things have adapted, what they see moving forward and discuss their wish list of travel destinations for the coming year.Dublin Drop Smithwick's - 10:00 · With a refreshingly balanced taste, this is a blend of mild hops, sweet malt, and roasted barley. The gentle bitterness of the hops is perfectly complemented by the sweet, malty notes. Adnam's - Broadside - 31:50 · Broadside is a dark ruby red beer rich in fruitcake aromas, almonds and conserved fruit. Lion Bridge Brewing - Olde No. 17 - 41:00 · The official beer of the Cedar Rapids St. Patrick's Day Parade Society (SaPaDaPaSo), and originally brewed to commemorate its 40th anniversary. This is the classic pub stout you know and love with a twist; 100 lbs of organic mashed potatoes were added during the brew to increase the dryness and slightly boost the alcohol. Roasty, with hints of dark chocolate, nuttiness and rich creamy mouthfeel. Cheese - Jasper Hill - Willoughby - 28:00
We love beers with a little extra ABV. Don't you? This week's spotlight is on the "Sky's The Limit" badge. You don't always intend to go for beers with a double-digit ABV, but when you do, you make it count! Be careful, 10% and up can really pack a punch. Get ready for some late night show antics as we crack open 2 beers that should probably be shared with friends... but that's a different badge. Harrison's drinking Pastry Works from Froth Brewing Co., a Pastry Stout with Peanut Butter, Graham Cracker, Coconut and Milk Sugar. Jon's drinking Dia De Los Muertos (Ghost 906) from Adroit Theory. At 13.7% ABV, this Russian Imperial Stout is the perfect balance between Bitter and Sweet, Creamy and Full Bodied, or Roasty and Malty. How To Create Original and Engaging Landing Pages + Insights into Affiliate Marketing. My name is Matt Giovanisci. I'm self-employed and work from home. But it's nothing special. I wake up whenever I want, put my sweatpants on one leg at a time, and tell my butler to make me an egg soufflé just like everyone else. Ok, I don't have a butler. I started a website in 2006 called Swim University. The site now makes over $250,000 a year but it took 10 years. I co-founded a personal finance brand and podcast called Listen Money Matters in 2013. I left after a year, but I re-joined in 2018. In March 2015, I started a coffee education website called Roasty. I sold it in 2018 for $55,000. I created Money Lab (this site) in 2016 so I can build more brands, make more money, and write off my home-brewing hobby. Speaking of which, I started a homebrewing site called Brew Cabin. I design and code all my own sites by hand. Write the words. Film and edit the videos. Produce podcasts. Illustrate the graphics. But now I have a team that helps me with writing and editing podcasts. In case that wasn't enough. https://www.moneylab.co/

Welcome to Hair of the Cat... Hot C maybe? Cat training, ethics, don't quit if you haven't tried. Miranda Workman is Drinking: Thick Mint Stout, Southern TierInspired by the legendary cookie, Thick Mint joins our world-class rated Blackwater Series of dessert beers alongside Crème Brûlée, Choklat Oranj, Salted Caramel & Choklat in 2017. This imperial stout is a mouthful of perfectly balanced mint & chocolate. Roasty malts coalesce with notes of Belgian dark chocolate, sweet mint & just a touch of sweet caramel. So decadently delicious, you’ll wish you’d bought another box… er, bottle. Sarah is Drinking: Double Dunk Stout, Prairie Artisan Ales An imperial stout conditioned on Oreo cookies. Rebecca is Drinking: Swear Jar Milk Porter, Barrel House Z Smooth, full-bodied, dark ale. Big chocolate notes that carry a slight roastiness. On today's episode of THE FOOD SEEN, Adam Dulye, Executive Chef of the Brewers Association, authored THE BEER PANTRY (thebeerpantry.com), as a guide to cooking FOR beer, not just WITH it. It breaks down craft beer into 6-PACK of flavor profiles (Crisp & Clean, Hoppy & Bitter, Malty & Sweet, Rich & Roasty, Fruity & Spicy, and Sour, Tart, & Funky), which a parallel a palatable lexicon that also describes the foods that best pair with them. Think Grilled Clams with Spicy Corn and Garlic Aioli with a nice refreshing Pilsner. Chicken Thighs with Crispy Yukon Potatoes and Braised Kale with a piney Pale Ale. Chocolate Devil's Food Cake with Mini Stour Milkshakes. This is not your normal pub grub; this is hand-crafted cooking for better made beers. The Food Seen is powered by Simplecast

Work, life, and drinking can have a way with throwing us some baseball symbolism about curve balls sometimes... Jason and Tom posted their previous episode 45 days ago which means that dddpodcast is doing alright! Dddpodcast is back, again! After a crazy two month journey, Jason and Tom decided to put on their spurs, and get back on that animal you would use to convey a decent message in an idiom. Beer: Unibroue 17 Grande Réserve Not-Beer: Sazerac Rye Whiskey Hard Drink: The Sazerac cocktail Featured Interview: Miguel Chavez, bartender @ Hole in the Wall Saloon Hole in the Wall Saloon: 1369 Folsom Street San Francisco, CA 94103 Visit Hole in the Wall Saloon!
Has it really been exactly a month since the last episode? Woops, sorry. Get over it. In this rather extended episode of DrinkDrankDrunk, Jason and Tom dare to explore the vastness of the universe starting with Smirnoff, Ice, Slavery, and Blue Bols (These topics are covered for approximately less than 2 minutes of the whole episode). Beer: Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout Not-Beer: Malibu Caribbean Rum Hard Drink: The Blue Hawaiian Featured Interview: Matt Paddock, Bar manager @ Leopold's. Welcome back to DDDPodcast! Jason and Tom survived past episode one, and so far so good! Things sort of accidentally steered in a French direction throughout this episode, but that's okay (The episode really isn't that French). Enjoy some booze news, drink reviews, and other new quirky tid-bits! Also, enjoy our interview with: Sam Brother, aka "Black Sam" - the classiest distributor and sales rep from MillerCoors. Beer: Allagash Curieux Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tripel Not-Beer: St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur Hard Drink: St. Germain cocktail!
Welcome to DDDPodcast's very first real episode. It's about damn time too as that introductory episode 0 was getting boring as shit! Tune in to a good 'old fashioned' podcast as Jason and Tom explore some refreshing drinks, make some new friends, and ultimately survive to see another day. No Booze News this time, as the recording software decided to be a total asshole, and not record just about everything. Beer: Firestone Walker Double Jack Imperial/Double IPA Not-Beer: Basil Hayden's Bourbon Whiskey The Hard Drink: The Old-Fashioned cocktail! Episode 0 is the introductory episode to DrinkDrankDrunk, the Podcast-ast-ast-ast-ast... Jason and Tom map out what the show is all about, and give you, the listener, a feel of what you're getting yourself into by listening to this show. It's not a full show. It's not interesting. Don't listen.
