In a significant development, Anthony Ricco, one of Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense attorneys, has filed a motion to withdraw from representing Combs in his upcoming federal sex trafficking trial. In the motion submitted on February 21, 2025, Ricco stated, "Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs, consistent with the ABA Standards for Criminal Justice." He did not provide specific reasons for his decision, citing attorney-client privilege. Ricco assured the court that his withdrawal would not delay the trial scheduled for May 5, 2025, as Combs continues to be represented by five other attorneys, including lead counsel Marc Agnifilo. Combs has been incarcerated since his arrest in September 2024 on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and related offenses, to which he has pleaded not guilty. The allegations against him include organizing illicit parties and other misconduct. In addition to his criminal case, Combs has filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit against NBCUniversal and the production company Ample, alleging that a docuseries falsely portrays him as a criminal.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Diddy faces fresh crisis as his lawyer Tony Ricco quits rapper's case with VERY mysterious statement | Daily Mail Online
In this week's episode of Sense by Meg Faure, we launch our brand new "Feeding Sense" segment! Paediatric dietician Kath Megaw takes over as guest host. She is joined by Nicole Comninellis, a paediatric physiotherapist. Nicole has a special interest in neurodevelopment and infant digestion. Together, they tackle one of parenting's most common challenges: constipation in babies and toddlers. Understanding Constipation from a Physio's Perspective Kath Megaw introduces the topic, noting that dietary advice alone doesn't always solve constipation. Nicole Comninellis explains how constipation presents differently depending on age. Factors include whether it's a new or chronic issue, and if the child was full-term or preterm. Nicole highlights that repeated stress can create negative neurological pathways. This makes constipation more likely to recur. The Mind-Body Connection in Constipation Nicole explains that stress triggers the "fight or flight" response which inhibits digestion. Helping infants feel safe and calm is key. This allows them to develop a positive internal sense (interoception) of their bodies. For toddlers, autonomy, sensory processing, and personality play a big role. New experiences like starting school or a new sibling can also cause withholding.Practical Strategies for Preventing and Managing Constipation Kath and Nicole discuss actionable tips for parents. For Infants: Understanding normal poo variations is important. Varied holding positions and allowing free movement are crucial. Responding to baby's cues when they need to poo, perhaps by picking them up to let gravity assist, can make a difference. For Toddlers: Beyond a balanced diet and hydration, establishing routines around natural body reflexes (like the urge to poo after meals) is helpful. Encourage chewing as this stimulates the gut. Ample movement, play, and exercise are vital. Tummy massage can aid motility and provide comfort. Creating a safe, supportive, and calm bathroom environment is essential. Positioning: For toddlers using a potty or toilet, ensuring their feet are supported and knees are above their hips is very important. Teaching children to relax rather than just push can also be beneficial. Why You Should Listen This "Feeding Sense" episode offers a holistic view of constipation. Kath Megaw and Nicole Comninellis provide expert insights. They explain that movement, posture, and emotional well-being are as vital as diet. The episode is packed with practical, compassionate strategies. These can help prevent constipation from becoming a chronic issue. It's about making pooing a positive, stress-free experience for your child.Kath Megaw is a leading paediatric dietician with over 20 years of experience in infant and child nutrition. She is the co-author of the book Allergy Sense and specializes in guiding parents through complex feeding challenges. Aproximativ 1200 de proteste au avut loc la sfîrșitul săptămînii trecute în orașe din toate statele americane precum și în alte țări din lume faţă de deciziile lui Donald Trump și ale lui Elon Musk. „Hands off!” With lives on the line, the smallest misstep in communication can have critical consequences. Patient data gets transferred at the handoff from the preoperative area to the operating room to the postoperative area, but most anesthesia practices have been slow to adopt a standardized approach to sharing this information. Today's guest, Pete Montrie, CRNA, DNP, created the AMPLE approach for his DNP project, and he'll explain how this streamlined process can improve communication and enhance patient safety. Here's some of what we discuss in this episode: Why he chose this topic for his DNP at the University of Alabama. The main issues that the literature identified during these handoffs. How he developed his project and his plan going in. The project resulted in a 70% increase in handoffs based on billing data. What are the most important things in spiritual life?In Patañjali's Yoga Sutra, we find: अभ्यासवैराग्याअभ्यां तन्निरोध:abhyāsa-vairāgya-ābhyāṁ tan-nirodhaḥ"Through yearning and renunciation, the mind can be stopped (i.e samādhi can be attained)"And in the Bhagavad Gita 6:35, we find: श्रीभगवानुवाच |असंशयं महाबाहो मनो दुर्निग्रहं चलम् |अभ्यासेन तु कौन्तेय वैराग्येण च गृह्यते || 35||śhrī bhagavān uvācha:asanśhayaṁ mahā-bāho mano durnigrahaṁ chalamabhyāsena tu kaunteya vairāgyeṇa cha gṛihyate The Lord said:"Undoubtedly, O mighty armed one, the mind is difficult to control and restless but by practice (I.e intense yearning) and by detachment, it can be controlled, O son of Kunti."And all throughout the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, we find the Master emphatically stressing this point over and over: through yearning and renunciation, God can be attained! Perhaps this point is the very essence of practice, the very heart of spiritual life? Having discussed what yearning and renunciation really mean, let's now talk about how to cultivate these! As such, at our last online gathering of 2024, we discussed the two most important things in spiritual life: yearning for realization of the Infinite + renunciation for the finite and then rattled off a few different ways to cultivate that including but not limited to: Visiting sacred places like temples and nature which are associated to great spiritual masters (yatra)Spending time with spiritual people or at least with spiritual ideas through books and media (sadhu-sangha)Finding a guru and learning under them (parampara)Consistency in spiritual practicePacing so as not to burn out Ample time in solitude to practice and integrate.A moderate, simple and ethical life. In this episode of Wear Who You Are, host Natalie Tincher talks to Becky Blank, a CEO and tech leader at Ample, a Cincinnati-based digital marketing agency. Known for her commitment to inclusivity in the tech industry, Becky shares her personal and professional experiences that have shaped her advocacy for women and people of color. Her story isn't without challenges; Becky opens up about difficult times marked by pain and alienation, which ignited her passion for fostering a more equitable environment in her industry. The conversation begins with an exploration of Becky's career path and her role in mentoring women and underrepresented groups in tech. She discusses the importance of leadership representation and how her experiences have influenced her understanding of style as an extension of self-expression and intention. Natalie and Becky also tackle where the "voices in your head" come from and how they're affected by societal pressures facing women regarding image, age, and attire. As Becky grew into her leadership role, she started working with Natalie and BU Style, which helped her understand that she could start representing herself differently at work. As her career advanced, she felt compelled to reassess her style, not just as a personal choice but as a reflection of her work identity. She recounts the transformative moment of embracing her "Magnetic" power, which will resonate with any women who have wanted to light up a room in a professional setting. This Wear Who You Are episode feels a little special, as Becky is a bit of a poster child for the work that we do. Through her work with Natalie, Becky recognized that she was worthy of feeling good and confident, even while societal pressures told her something different (f that, we say!).We hope you enjoy this Client Style Story with Becky Blank!––Dress for your day [https://www.bu.style/articles/dress-for-your-day]Ample [https://www.ample.co/]Course [https://www.bu.style/course]––Follow Us:Follow the podcast on social media, and submit your questions by sending us a message here!@bustyle@natalie_tincherCheck out the website for more info at www.bu.styleSign Up for Nat's NewsletterRate, Review, & Subscribe to the podcast on Apple & SpotifyThis Podcast is brought to you by Upstarter Pods

Tony Bennett Retires Abruptly And Junior Burrough Offers Ample Perspective by Ed Lane
To fully understand this current reading “crisis” (which really isn't a crisis at all), it must be seen in the context of similar “crises” occurring in the past (which weren't really crises either). This current “crisis” is not the first reading crisis to come along (Aydarova, 2024; Berliner & Biddle, 1995; McQuillan, 1998; Thomas, 2024), and it certainly won't be the last. And when this crisis runs its course, there will be a lull followed by another crisis, and then another, and then another. That's because there will always be those willing to create the illusion of crises for political and economic gain (Altwerger, 2008; Aydarove, 2023). And sadly, it's an effective tactic … for a time anyway.
Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. [Conflict of interest disclaimer: We are FutureSearch, a company working on AI-powered forecasting and other types of quantitative reasoning. If thin LLM wrappers could achieve superhuman forecasting performance, this would obsolete a lot of our work.] Widespread, misleading claims about AI forecasting Recently we have seen a number of papers - (Schoenegger et al., 2024, Halawi et al., 2024, Phan et al., 2024, Hsieh et al., 2024) - with claims that boil down to "we built an LLM-powered forecaster that rivals human forecasters or even shows superhuman performance". These papers do not communicate their results carefully enough, shaping public perception in inaccurate and misleading ways. Some examples of public discourse: Ethan Mollick (>200k followers) tweeted the following about the paper Wisdom of the Silicon Crowd: LLM Ensemble Prediction Capabilities Rival Human Crowd Accuracy by Schoenegger et al.: A post on Marginal Revolution with the title and abstract of the paper Approaching Human-Level Forecasting with Language Models by Halawi et al. elicits responses like "This is something that humans are notably terrible at, even if they're paid to do it. No surprise that LLMs can match us." "+1 The aggregate human success rate is a pretty low bar" A Twitter thread with >500k views on LLMs Are Superhuman Forecasters by Phan et al. claiming that "AI […] can predict the future at a superhuman level" had more than half a million views within two days of being published. The number of such papers on AI forecasting, and the vast amount of traffic on misleading claims, makes AI forecasting a uniquely misunderstood area of AI progress. And it's one that matters. What does human-level or superhuman forecasting mean? "Human-level" or "superhuman" is a hard-to-define concept. In an academic context, we need to work with a reasonable operationalization to compare the skill of an AI forecaster with that of humans. One reasonable and practical definition of a superhuman forecasting AI forecaster is The AI forecaster is able to consistently outperform the crowd forecast on a sufficiently large number of randomly selected questions on a high-quality forecasting platform.[1] (For a human-level forecaster, just replace "outperform" with "performs on par with".) It feels like everyone is talking about imposter syndrome these days. And I've seen it rear its ugly head in my own career as a nature-based therapist. If you're not familiar with imposter syndrome, it is that feeling of “I don't know what I'm doing” that pops up inside your mind, even when there is AMPLE evidence to the contrary. (That EVIDENCE part is key. Feeling like an imposter when you are a novice at anything is normal! We need to maybe coin a new term “novice syndrome” to acknowledge that being a novice is different than being an imposter.) In this episode, I share from the heart about feeling like an imposter as a nature-based therapist. You'll hear a few real-life examples from my own life, and some takeaways to help you if you struggle with imposter syndrome in the realm of nature-based therapy. One of the key messages in this episode is that you can be a nature-based therapist, just as you are. You don't have to garden. Or love animals. Or brave icy cold weather. Or be a naturalist. Or climb mountains. You can do nature-based therapy in your own way and you're still a legit nature-based therapist. xoxo Laura P.S. Full Plate: Ditch diet culture, respect your body, and set boundaries.
What is alive in you right now? What does it mean to return to the body as the place where we experience life? The concept of embodiment has become more present in the lexicon of body image and body liberation. While deeply important to our collective divestment from diet culture, exploring your own embodiment may feel confusing, intangible, or incongruent with your lived experience. Neathery Falchuk, LCSW-S, CGP (they/them) joins us this week to dig all the way in: What is embodiment, really? What does it look like? Feel like? Is it a destination, or something different? And how can we practice it? We're diving into the answers to these questions and more with the amazing, wise, funny, Neathery -- who also speaks to intersectionality in embodiment as a queer, trans and non-binary, fat, neurodivergent, white Latinx therapist. I can't wait to hear from you on this episode. I think it will bring together a lot of things we've been talking about on the show: from our relationship with food, to the identities we hold, and what it means to experience the world in the body we have. We discuss so (so!) much in this one, including… What's on Neathery's plate (hint: baby-led weaning and oatmeal) Neathery's experience of disembodiment as a queer and trans teen How disordered eating develops without embodiment Why embodiment isn't always a positive experience Barriers to embodiment, including those we can't control Working through trauma and the importance of co-regulation Self-compassion as a tool to connect to ourselves Learning to trust the wisdom of our body Grief work and its connection to embodiment The need for more access to supportive communities in the embodiment and body liberation space Neathery Falchuk (they/them) is a queer, trans and non-binary, fat, neurodivergent, white Latinx therapist, licensed clinical social worker supervisor, certified group psychotherapist, certified Body Trust® provider, and certified meditation teacher. Neathery is the founder of Ample and Rooted, an inclusive psychotherapy, consulting, and training practice specializing in working with LGBTQ+ communities, eating disorders, body shame, sex and sexuality, gender, relationship concerns, trauma, mindfulness, grief and loss, and substance use. Neathery currently serves on the program committee for Project HEAL and is a past President of Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists, past board member of Austin Group Psychotherapy Society and former chair of the DEI Committee, and past board member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health.
