Je traverse l'espace vente et l'ascenseur feutré m'emmène au milieu des ors des appartements historiques du 26 place Vendôme.  Surprise ! Un ring occupe toute la pièce, les mannequins y dansent. Ils sont vêtus de jean blanc et de couleurs fortes bleu turquoise, rouge escarboucle, vert émeraude, violet améthyste, bleu tanzanite. Cette jeunesse, cette fraicheur, en un mot cette joie ! Claire Choisne la Directrice des Créations, étonne la place Vendôme par ses innovations et cette fois y ajoute une bulle de fantaisie joyeuse et détachée des codes.   Elle s'est inspirée du mouvement Menphis. Un collectif fondé à Milan en 1980 où les artistes veulent marier l'inassociable : les couleurs du Pop Art et les matériaux chics, le kitch et des laminés plastiques.    Dans cette collection « More is More », la pièce TIE THE KNOT exprime complètement cet esprit Menphis. C'est un noeud en magnesium teinté noir par cataphorèse et bioacétate rouge vif.  Complétement inédit en joaillerie le magnesium est 30% plus léger que l'aluminium et d'une densité 10 fois plus légère que l'or, sur le bijou il est serti de fines lignes de diamants ce qui est un défi car on ne peut souder sur cette matière.  Le bio acetate est fabriqué à partir de pâte de bois et de fibres de coton, il est durable, très léger et permet toutes les couleurs. This "story" created a warm feeling within me of love and harmony. However, later in the day I learned from another person that the shepherd had stolen the lamb and was taking it home for his dinner !! This "story" created an unwelcome feeling within me. Both experiences of reality were determined by thought processes that dictated my feelings. The Crystal told me to get out of the "story" and witness the event as it was .. a man walking a lamb through the mountains.. no attachment to the story, no opinion just witnessing and holding inner harmony. By doing this you hold a space of Peace not only for yourself but for all life forms that inhabit your surroundings.I questioned if this made me a bad person.. maybe I could have saved the lamb.... the crystal said.. " you still to this day do not know which "story" was the truth ... you can and only ever will know your truth, your experience, don't let an illusion determine your reality. Here’s a glimpse of our conversation: 1:45 - Angie: Exploring the Seasons of Life is pretty much what my entire life path and my business are about. It's about finding the tools and resources that you need to find it through the challenges, to create positive experiences, and to live the best of what we call life.  2:37 - Angie: So I kind of work with my clients wherever they are, some are at the beginning of their journey and trying to figure out just the basics of what they need, who they are, where they want to go, and others are much more experienced.  4:18 – Angie: First steps are to honestly sit back and kind of identify what you're feeling? Why does it matter? None of those outside forces really matter. You need to identify how you're feeling what you want to experience. Just very basic, you know, self-awareness.  6:29 – Angie: We are going to go with just the basics, so we're not going to deal with anything that's situational. One of the main components to starting any of your mornings, we're going to start with clearing and protection. So, some basic crystals that you can use for those for the clearing part, Selenite is a great stone to help with any clearing. So if you're doing meditation practice, or a little bit of prayer work every morning or a little bit of yoga, some people use them for chakra work, then Selenite is a great stone, Clear Quartz is a great stone. Then we'll look at some protection, there's so many that you can use, most people know about Black Tourmaline, I do not like to recommend Black Tourmaline, unless you balance it with either the Selenite or the Clear Quartz, because it can be so overly protective that it actually shuts down positive information also.  8:12 Cindy: If we could just go in a little bit deeper and talk about grief and loss, what crystal would you recommend for grief and loss?  10:15 Angie: Charoite is a healer stone, it is one it's purple and got some dark inclusions, it's a very pretty stone, it is a healer stone. Carnelian can get rid of anxiety. So when we're dealing with that kind of energy Carnelian can help you get rid of the shaky, the unstable, the inability to get grounded, and fear; a lot of grief and loss is based in the energy of fear.  16:43 Angie: When I wear Tanzanite, my thoughts are clear. I jokingly call it the “get yourself together” stone because that's what it does; it helps to streamline thoughts and helps to pull those energies together so that you stay focused.  18:51 Angie: A lot of what we teach is really about the tools and based around the tools that are in the shop. Marketing colored gemstone is on the agenda when Hayley Henning visits The Barb Wire with host Barbara Palumbo. Henning is currently vice-president of Greenland Ruby, where she has been working the last two years after spending most of her career as one of the key faces behind the rise of Tanzanite since the mid-1990s. (In fact, Barbara says that before she knew Hayley personally, she thought of her as “the Tanzanite lady”.) The South African native shares some of her personal journey (2:55) from her homeland to a career in the U.S., working for a company called Afgem that eventually became the well-known Tanzanite One. Hayley calls the company’s efforts to market Tanzanite "the start of colored gemstone marketing as we know it today". (6:55) Now Hayley is involved in a similar effort to increase public and industry acceptance of Greenland ruby (12:10). Her company, Greenland Ruby, is the first business with government permission to mine, market and sell ruby material found in Greenland. Says Henning: "There is no real instruction manual on how to introduce a new gemstone to the gem and jewelry industry. But we're figuring it out." She is passionate about the story behind Greenland rubies. Says the executive: “It's not as though we went to some fancy marketing agency to say, "Alright, help us make up a story. We are telling the story of a gemstone that has been buried under ice and snow for nearly 3 billion years."
