Well, here we are my friends, the 100th and final episode! We go back to where it all started, the National Gallery of Art, for a look at one of Pieter de Hooch's idealized depictions of what a Dutch household was supposed to be. This cozy home may have been more wishful thinking than reality, though! We'll find out how an embarrassing meeting helped create the Gallery! And I'll share final thoughts and thank yous and a few podcast recommendations I think you'll really like (listed below). NOTE: THERE ARE SPOILERS CONTAINED IN THIS EPISODE. We're baaaaaaaaack! New, full episodes are coming in March, but we couldn't let that time go by without saying SOMETHING about Star Wars. Don Hall is a self-proclaimed Star Wars geek. Tyler Greene has never seen the films. (Well, he thinks he's seen Episode 1 but, unsurprisingly, he can't remember it). In this episode, we get to experience the films for the first time with Tyler and hear the guys' review of Episode 7: The Force Awakens.

For the last three years, we've brought you news and conversations on a wide range of topics that affect Chicagoans' daily lives. We've covered a lot of big stories: elections, the Polar Vortex, the passing of major figures in the city like Roger Ebert, Jane Byrne, and Cardinal George. The list goes on. But not everything we do is so serious. Whether it's stories about food, real estate, arts and culture or sports, we've always tried to bring an element of fun to your afternoon. So, this hour, we keep things a little more light-hearted with the regular contributors you've heard on the show over the years. General Admission podcasters, Don Hall and Tyler Greene give us a summer arts preview. Real estate reporter, Dennis Rodkin, tells us about the new tour he's hosting about Chicago's sexual history. Food contributor, Louisa Chu, talks about the newest food trends in the city. WBEZ's Tony Arnold discusses new allegations against former U.S. House Speaker, Dennis Hastert. WBEZ Sports Contributor, Cheryl Raye-Stout previews Game 2 of the Stanley Cup. NIU Meteorologist, Gilbert Sebentse, tells us how he first got into meteorology. And, we talk about what we love about this great city.
The guys keep up the "meta" theme with Don's interview of Tyler. Mr. Greene had an extra shot of espresso before this one, so strap in: he also gets really nervous when people ask him questions about himself. Season 4 of General Admission is coming in 2 weeks -- listen to this episode and our back catalogue to catch up!
A mystery unfolds in PleasureTown as one of the pillars of this hedonistic society is found dead due to strange circumstances. Meanwhile, residents cope with the aftermath of a large and destructive fire. In this episode, we meet PleasureTown's barber, who tells the story of how he and his blind brother fled to the settlement after a particularly hairy run-in with a local bigot. We also revisit Shaman John and hear his tale of loss and woe. To cope, the Mormon-turned-mystic smokes an herbal mix and wanders into the woods... only to find himself face-to-face with the Devil himself. Will he give up his soul for the one thing he misses most?
