Charles does, indeed, enter Sam's apartment, whereupon he proceeds with further innuendos by offering to help Sam change. He teases her, but correctly realizes that she is disappointed that he won't undress her. When Sam buries her face in his chest once again, Charles worries that it genuinely bothers her, and in typical gentlemanly fashion, offers to stop. And turns out he himself has to stop, since the thoughts of what they did that morning are too much for him. And he also has Sam in mind, since he wants to build up her confidence. We discuss Charles' discomfort with emotional closeness, and how the current mentor/mentee dynamic between them may change once Sam does build up her confidence, throwing them off balance. He abruptly departs, leaving Sam alone with her thoughts and feelings. Earlier, and not exactly relevantly to this episode, we discuss Marshall and Monica and how couples are attracted to each other for not only complementary strengths but also complementary weaknesses. Recorded in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. ***

She is neither human nor Kryptonian but her powers rival those of Supergirl. She was made by witches on Krypton to dispense justice to the galaxy. On the day of their planet's demise they sent her to Earth, not wanting to lose the results of their work. She was raised on Earth, as a human with no sign of special abilities. She was named Sam Arias and had a successful life. A human life that blessed her with a daughter named Ruby. This is something her creators did not expect. When Sam starts hearing voices in her head and having nightmares, she knows something is wrong. What she doesn't know is she is fulfilling the destiny that the witches made for her. She will rise. She will reign. Made to be a world killer, Reign now has her sights set on Earth. However, this is a woman composed of two minds Sam and Reign. I think some will underestimate how strong Sam can be. When Reign defeats Supergirl in an epic battle the tears well up in GreenButterfly's eyes. If Supergirl cannot defeat Reign, who can? Our Maid of Steel vanquished the world killer in the end but it was Ruby that saved Sam. I know Lena's scientific work played a significant role in her recovery. I wholeheartedly believe Sam's love for her daughter is what prevented Reign from taking total control of her mind and body. Join Green Butterfly and Silver Vox as we revisit one of the most compelling characters of this series. Someone we would love to see back in season six. Based on her origins Sam should still have powers despite Lena's treatment. Reign did not emerge until Sam was an adult. What does that mean for Ruby as she grows up? In the Comics it is Zor El that made the World Killers. Is that why he really ended up in the Phantom Zone? Did the world killer project lead to the destruction of Krypton? Green Butterfly and Silver Vox are looking forward to a great discussion with all of our super friends. We are Stronger Together! We are Maid of Steel!

Sam Sochet was celebrated as the 2019 New York City High School Principal of the Year by the NYC High School Principals Association, for his monumental work in transforming Martin Van Buren High School, a large comprehensive high school in Queens, New York. This was done while retaining the teaching staff. Sam has over 32 years of experience as a highly successful Teacher, Science Chairperson, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Sam taught Advanced Placement Biology for 10 years and Advanced Placement Psychology for 7 years. Sam has great respect for both the art and science of teaching. He also served as Co-President of the Science Supervisors Association of New York City, and is currently a Trustee at the Syosset Public Library in his hometown. He is also an alumnus of New Leaders, a nationally recognized Principal Leadership Program. The Questions About CBD You Want Answers To What is CBD? What are the benefits of CBD? How to use CBD? What factors should I consider when buying CBD? What are the benefits of CBD? Why choose organic CBD? CBD and Me Have you ever done something that you swore you'd never do? Well, that's exactly what happened to me recently. I was introduced to a CBD product and saw the results and just had to jump on board. It's still mind-boggling to me… In fact, it's a double whammy. As a former pharmacist, I have always been skeptical of anything that wasn't FDA approved but was being used for medicinal purposes. It didn't matter if it was organic or not, the fact that it hadn't been regulated caused me to hesitate. Until my friend, Cori introduced me to Green Compass Global CBD products. The results people are experiencing are mind-blowing. Here are the reasons I joined the team at Green Compass Global. First, it never hurts to have an additional revenue stream. If 2020 taught us anything, it's that having multiple revenue streams is smart. Second, the company aligns with a few of my core values of faith, integrity, and service to others. Third, if I can help someone else find relief from ailments or sleep better, feel less anxious, or have less pain, I'm all in. I read a quote recently by Barbara Nakatomi – “If you want something better and different, be willing to do something better and different.” That resonated with me for this journey that I recently embarked on. About Sam, Tammie, and Cori and Their Relationships with CBD and Green Compass Global About Cori Gochar Cori has a bachelor's degree in nursing and has been able to use her nursing background to help navigate through the last 23 years battling an autoimmune disease. She has done research in all areas of health and wellness, including, spiritual discipline, nutrition, yoga, and clean eating. Cori is passionate about total body wellness and looks at the human body as being composed of mind, body, and soul. Cori's recent discovery of the endocannabinoid system and pure, clean medical-grade CBD has furthered her wellness journey and she is so excited to have linked arms with Green Compass Global. Her passion is to share her knowledge with others so they can feel their very best ~mind, body, and soul. Cori knows she is blessed to be a blessing. She is the mother of four beautiful kids and the wife of a dentist. Cori finds joy in her faith and family. She considers herself as being a “hope dealer”. In everything, she does she always has her two perfect sidekicks ~her labrador retrievers Leroy and Nala! About Samantha Faile Samantha is a natural-born “helper.” She is a firm believer that credentials and job descriptions do not define her but they equip her with life lessons that she can share with others. Samantha has been a dancer since she could walk and became fascinated with the body and movement at an early age. Her path led her to explore athletic training during her short-lived college adventure at North Greenville University. Samantha found her soul mate 0f 24 years through her love for dance and music. Together they have 2 beautiful kids and she has a bonus son who has given them 4 awesome grandchildren. Samantha's passion for health, nutrition, and exercise led her to become a certified instructor for Gold's Gym. There she helped clients for over 10 years develop healthy lifelong habits as well as a love for fitness. Samantha's studies and fascination for nutrition served her well. She used that knowledge to help her own son who was diagnosed with a neurological disorder at an early age. Her faith in God and his genius of giving us plant-based medicine and holistic approaches have allowed her son, who is now 17, to be on the other side of that disorder without prescriptions. Samantha's mission is to share her experiences with others in hopes of helping them and their families. She truly believes it is possible to live your best life through natural approaches to healing and wellness. Her motto is “farm first and pharma last.” After much research, she has now partnered with an amazing CBD company that is changing lives and she gets to work individually with each business partner and customer to see them achieve incredible results. About Tammie Epley Tammie is a wife and homeschool mom of 2 who loves sharing the gospel and Jesus. She has worked in the healthcare industry as a Respiratory Therapist for 15 years and has a passion for helping others. About CBD CBD stands for cannabidiol, one of many cannabinoids in both marijuana and hemp. There are actually over a hundred cannabinoids but the two most talked about are CBD and THC. THC is marijuana. It has psychoactive effects and makes you high. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive, it does not make you high. THC and CBD are two varieties of the same plant. Hemp was bred to provide high levels of CBD and very low levels of THC, only 0.3%. CBD is projected to be a $22 billion industry by 2022. Hemp is lawful. What Factors Should Be Considered When Buying CBD Products Quality – highest grade raw materials, pure, natural, organic, and effective Farming – organic and domestic Transparency – Does the company you are purchasing from share ingredients, extraction methods, and farming practices. Reliability – Does the company you are purchasing from offer a money-back guarantee? Some Of The Benefits of CBD Include Anti-inflammatory Antioxidant – helps modulate the immune system It can alleviate pain and reduce muscular tension Improved social interactions by helping to alleviate anxious feelings For pets, it helps with maintaining healthy hips and joints and a sense of calm. How to Use CBD CBD can be used in low doses as a supplement or in higher doses for more therapeutic effects. The key to dosing CBD is to start low and go slow. Cori's Journey with CBD and Green Compass Global She needed answers and hope. For 23 years Cori has been battling an autoimmune disease that has affected a lot of her organs and has had to be on high-risk drugs and her outlook was that she would have to be on them for the rest of her life. Through prayer, Tammie introduced CBD to Cori. Cori was skeptical that a little plant would help her body. She'd been on so many strong medications, but since there was a 30-day money-back guarantee she decided to try it. After a week or two, Cori discovered that she felt good, she was less anxious, slept better, and had fewer aches and pains. The best news came when Cori's doctor said she wouldn't have to do chemotherapy this month because her blood work was so pristine. Her life is completely changed and she is grateful to God for such a miraculous blessing. CBD May Not Have the Same Effect For Everyone We need to put a caveat on Cori's testimony for CBD. Every person who tries CBD will experience different results depending on what is going on within their body. It's also important to note that Cori was using Green Compass Global CBD and results may vary with other products that aren't manufactured the way Green Compass products are. Personal Branding Cori gave the perfect example of building the know love and trust factor as a direct sales representative. Trust determines buying practices. Similarly,if you want to attract clients, you have to build a personal brand and build the know love and trust factor. Learn more about personal branding here. Sam As a former fitness training and someone who studied nutrition, Sam believes plants first pharma second. When her son was diagnosed with a neurological disorder, she decided to forgo pharmaceuticals and use nutrition and at that time was introduced to CBD oil. At this time, there is no sign of neurological disease. Sam is an enneagram 2, which means she's a helper. She was struggling to sleep and the needs of those around her were keeping her awake at night. As she researched things to help her sleep, she began to try CBD products. When she found Green Compass CBD, she was taking 2800 mg of CBD a day. She was finally feeling in charge of her emotions and able to sleep. When Sam tried Green Compass CBD, she was shocked at how effective it was at such a low dose. Her cousin told Sam to start off at the 500mg/ml bottle and use .25ml. Sam took ¼ of a dropper three times a day and she was feeling great, rested, energized and less stressed. At that point, Sam introduced the Green Compass CBD to her mom and sister and when they started to see results, her cousin told her about the opportunity to join Green Compass. What sold Sam, was that there was no paperwork and it was direct sales, no middle person, so the cost can be low and the cost is the same for Green Compass representatives and all other consumers. Sam expressed how both customers and other representatives are seeing amazing results from the product and the company and that their lives are being changed. Tammie Anxiety has always been a crux for Tammie. She saw doctors and tried medications, but nothing worked. Hormonal imbalances and neck pain made Tammie desperate to find something to help her feel better. After the devastation of losing a pregnancy, she was at the darkest point of her life. Her friend stepped in to help Tammie and suggested CBD. Like Cori, Tammie was skeptical. She had tried CBD before, but it didn't work. Her friend introduced her to Green Compass Global CBD and she was very impressed with the product and became fascinated with how the endocannabinoid system works. After three weeks of starting the CBD, she started sleeping better, her skin was better, and her neck no longer hurt. At that point, she wanted to become part of Green Compass Global so that she could share the CBD with everyone she knew. The better she felt, the more she wanted to share it. The other thing Tammie loves about Green Compass Global is the fact that it is a new company and a ground floor opportunity. Tammie believes Green Compass Global CBD products are amazing. Likewise, Tammie shared that the compensation plan is amazing. Like Cori, Green Compass Global CBD has changed Tammie's life. Why Using Organic CBD Is Important You want organic CBD because the hemp plant absorbs toxins from the environment. If it is not organic, you could be putting toxins in your body which defeats the purpose. Learn More About Your Host, Robyn Graham, Click HERE. In the first year, BHF had two neighborhood garden locations and continued to grow. In 2013 the farm needed more space and the operation was moved to one larger piece of property in Starkville. At the end of 2015 the farm moved again to the current location on Pat Station Road where it could be at a more permanent location. What's it mean to be too nice? We get ourselves in tricky situations when we're not honest. It's hard telling the truth and being honest at all times. We get ourselves into situations that could have easily been avoided if we were upfront in the very beginning. I (Meg) think that stems from not wanting to let anyone down. Growing up, I just wanted to make everyone happy. I was a "fixer" and thought I could fix everyone at all times. I would tell half truths if it meant the other person wouldn't get hurt and in the end it bit me in the butt and to this day it still does from time to time. We go through real life examples including: -A time Meg got into a fight with the CEO of her first internship -When Sam was in a band and had to let his ego go to salvage relationships -When Meg stood up to someone above her at work and put her career on the line by telling the truth -At home conflicts and situations that we're both working on
Here we are, asking the important questions, including “What’s it like to start a record label and run it for 20 years?” and “Who in their right mind decided to eat an artichoke for the first time?” Sam Valenti IV, behind the very compelling Ghostly International, has all the answers to our first query, and we don’t think we’ll ever really get to the heart (heh) of our second. Best use of an Instant Pot: cookin’ artichokes. Oddly enthusiastic endorsement: vintage Majorcan and Portuguese artichoke plates. A couple good ways to put a can/jar of artichokes to good use: sardine pasta and back-pocket canned salad. Dig into Sam Valenti’s Ghostly International—both the musical artists (including the label’s very first, Matthew Dear) and the products. Also, follow Ghostly’s playlists—their “At Work” one in particular. A few Brooklyn record stores worthy of Sam’s fandom: Rough Trade, Academy Records, and Captured Tracks Shop. When Sam’s looking to discover new music, he can always count on Buy Music Club, Blackbandcamp.info, and Numero Group to deliver. AND! A handful of other things we talked about: Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes, That Thing You Do!, The Last Dance, and the podcast How Long Gone. If you haven’t signed up for Secret Menu...well! In these times of COVID, when we can get together for a rare rehearsal, we can’t meet in our traditional practice space at the Bowen house. Instead, masked, hand-washed and socially distanced, we gather after hours in the big room at Route 60 Music Co., which our bass player, the store’s co-owner Paul Callicoat, has so graciously opened to us. Now, one of the perks of practicing at Route 60 — besides seeing all those gorgeous guitars hanging on the walls for sale … oo oo, hey, think about this: Christmas is coming, and you can show the pickers in your family some serious love with a guitar or two from Route 60! … anyway, one of the OTHER perks of being at Route 60 is being greeted by Daisy, the West Virginia brown dog who rules that domain with a gentle paw. Daisy always seems happy to see us, but last night was even better than usual. When Sam, Paul, Michelle and Charlie launched in to the first tune, our take of Bruce Channel’s “Hey, Baby,” Daisy came running to us with her tail a-wagging. At first we figured she just misheard us and thought we were calling her name. Now, though, upon reflection we realize that she was telling us it’s high time we repurposed that tune. From now on we’ll be doing it as, “Hey, Hey, Daisy”!
Sam Brown is a professional musician best known as a singer, having sung backing vocals for bands such as Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and Spandau Ballet, as well as having a successful solo career including the international hit single “Stop!”, which is still one of my favourite songs. When Sam lost her singing voice in 2007 she started teaching ukulele, and now runs 7 ukulele groups in the UK. We have a great chat about her discovery of the ukulele and she also plays a couple of songs on a ukulele with a very impressive provenance. Grieving Out Loud: A Mother Coping with Loss in the Opioid Epidemic
Long-time educator and author, Kris Francoeur, lost her 20-year-old son, Sam, to fentanyl poisoning in 2013. Her book Of Grief, Garlic and Gratitude: Returning to Hope & Joy from a Shattered Life, chronicles her journey through grief and how she is able to keep the love Sam brought into the world alive. When Sam died in 2013, there was even more stigma surrounding an overdose death than there is today. Kris talks about why it was so important to her family not to hide in shame from the way Sam died. She offers advice from her experiences to families who are mourning a similar loss. Support the show (https://www.paintingapathtorecovery.org/donate-1)

Creator Spotlight: Sam Maxwell Today I’ll be sharing about an artist I featured on my podcast, Sam Maxwell. He is a fellow creator, artist, husband, teacher, and father. Here is a little bit about his story: - Sam Maxwell is a jack of all trades, from painting to writing to designing, creativity is his strong suit. Although he works with many mediums, his favorite by far is shoes. From childhood, he had a deep appreciation for fashion and design, seeing it as a form of art. One day, he decided to create something of his own. With a thrifted pair of shoes and some paint, he first pair of custom made shoes was born! - When Sam began his work with shoes, he relied very heavily on his faith to guide him. Whether it be the color scheme or type of shoe to use, he allows the voice of God to guide him and bring something beautiful and new. - One of my favorite moments during this podcast was when he tells about prophesying to his seventh grade class. He was able to see his students through the eyes of God, and see their destiny and purpose beyond a singular moment. - Sam reminds us to tend to the spark that ignites our dreams and deepest desires. Shut the noise down! Don’t forget to check out his page and be inspired! Love, Rebeca ♥️ @Samumaxwell on instagram @Samumaxwell @Youtube Thank you Sam!
One brave and visionary individual can inspire and improve the lives of many others . . . even if they’re a chicken. Roberta the Chicken is flying the coop, going to the Big City and leaving the Barnyard behind. Anyone brave enough to come with her is welcome. Farmer Bosworth paces through the Barnyard with his shotgun and cup of hot coffee with whisky. Olga the Pig wonders why Roberta would do such a thing—like leave them. Of course, Farmer Bosworth is crazy mean, but the Big City might not be much better. Gobbler the Turkey doesn’t understand how Roberta would ever stay there. Possibly visiting would be tolerable but living there is another circumstance altogether. If Ezequiel the Sheep goes to the Big City, he is sure that everyone will try to make him into a wool sweater. Olga the Pig thinks she might even become bacon, and Apple Dumplings the Cow is hesitant because the whole neighborhood will want milk from her all day long. If the Barnyard Animals moved to the Big City, Gobbler the Turkey fears every Thanksgiving the Pilgrims would try to make him into flaming turkey wings, or Nanny the Goat would be used for goat cheese. It just seems altogether too dangerous. Stallion the Horse and Jack the Donkey think they might have to go with the Chicken anyhow. When Sam the Taxi Driver arrives at the farm, Roberta suggests that everyone pile in the car, and even ride in the trunk. Jack the Donkey insists that he cannot let Roberta go-it-alone and asks everyone to accompany them. Taking last gulps of water and food from their troughs, the Barnyard Animals ready themselves for their trip. They all pile in and Stallion the Horse runs beside the Taxi. Sam triples the fare since the entire Barnyard comes with Roberta, who says not to worry because she swiped money from Farmer Bosworth. When the Farmer sees the animals fleeing, he comes after them with his shotgun and shoots out the right back tire. Threatening to track them down in the Big City, the Farmer keeps shooting at the car. Sam promises that he has friends who can help them out in their new life. He worriedly says he will have to teach them everything he knows, but at least he will get them away from crazy Farmer Bosworth. Of course, Farmer Bosworth follows them all over the City with his shotgun, but he is never able to catch them. Sam the Taxi Driver has too many friends in low and high places in the Big City—and soon so does Roberta the Chicken and her friends.
When Sam was 7 you would find him selling golf balls and lemonade at the golf course. At 11 he started selling coupon books door to door. 13 he started painting the addresses on curbs. He then learned that he could make more money if he got his friends to do it, and had about 11 of his buddies working under him - they called it the “Gutterman.” At 18 he then got into the home security business for 7 years. He built and ran teams being one of the best in the business. 2014 he finished #1 Salesman for the year at Vivint out of 3000 sales reps. 2016 he Started the Direct Sales division for Solcius as their VP building it up to have 70+ sales reps nationwide. In 2018 he left to pursue a greater mission to unify and uplevel the Door to Door industry. Sam saw a great need to give more tools, technology, and collaboration to this space and I have built multiple businesses to sustain that mission.
Sam Morris is the Founder of Zen Warrior Training and has a powerful presence about himself that is unlike anything my wife and I have experienced. At the age of 24, Sam was in a car accident that was caused by a drunk driver which left him paraplegic. Sam used his breath to connect with his soul and overcome the feelings of guilt and regret from his injuries. Today, he teaches students Zen philosophy, meditation, and somatic disciplines that have personally healed his mind and his relationship to his body. Key Takeaways ● Sam shares his story and the accident that ended up costing him the use of his legs. ● When Sam became lucid and realized he would never walk again, he began to take deep, deep breaths. Something changed. ● Sam came to the realization that: Breath is spirit. ● Despite being connected to his breath, it was still working to get out of bed every day. Sam still had grief. ● Sam can not afford to be careless with his body. Aging with a disability is no joke. ● Sam accumulated roughly 2 years over a 15 year period of being in and out of hospitals and operating rooms. ● It took Sam about 14 years to become a coach and to inspire others. It took him that long because he just didn’t feel ready. ● “Attitude is the most empowering thing people can learn”. ● J.R. shares an example of how a good attitude has served him well in life. ● Do you really have to project yourself as this super resilient human? There’s actually real value in being vulnerable. ● Show up with all your humanness. ● We often confuse what creates value in our culture. Your trophies, media appearances, and other accolades do not represent your true value. ● Sam had to forgive himself first before he could forgive the drunk driver. ● The accident was something Sam would have never chosen, but he can understand how his soul made a choice. ● We have to create a new map for ourselves and for our lives. A map that doesn’t rely on our past experiences, but instead a map that comes from our imagination. ● We can move forward in an intentional direction that feels right to us. In Episode 240 we speak to Sam who lived in a house full of paranormal activity that progressed in degree the longer she lived there. When Sam was 17, she and her mother moved into an old and creepy house. Over time, weird things started happening. First, it was the creepy feeling of someone watching her. Then Sam's friend told Sam she was getting "felt up" at night whenever she slept over. Eventually, whatever was behind the paranormal activity started to mess around with anyone who came to that house, from playing with the lights to walking around with heavy footsteps in Sam's room to one night a dark shadow figure finally appearing at the foot of her bed! Sam Baltrusis has lived what some may call, a haunted life. From a very young age, Sam realized that he had the gift of being able to hear and sometimes see the other side. Ghosts, spirits and the undead were just another part of everyday life for Sam. Then one night after giving a historical performance in Salem, Sam found himself closer to the spirit world than he ever thought possible. Sam discovered that he had taken on the attachment of an angry spirit, who nearly killed him. This is the haunted story of Sam Baltrusis and his experiences with the dead. PART 2 - AVAILABLE TO GRAVE KEEPERS ONLY - LISTEN HERE (http://www.patreon.com/thegravetalks) In part two of our interview, available only to Grave Keepers (http://www.patreon.com/thegravetalks) , we discuss: What does it feel like for Sam when a spirit conveys information from the dead to the living? What kind of dark entity branded the number 8 on Sam’s chest? What happened when Sam was giving a performance about a murder victim in Salem late one night? When Sam realize something was “attached” to him and how long was it there? How did Sam find a way to remove the “attached” spirit to him? Is there anything Sam does now to defend himself from spiritual attachments? Did Sam experience a “possession”, or was it something else? Business Owners & Entrepreneurs Podcast with Peter Boolkah | Business Coach | The Transition Guy®
This week I interview the directors of Reaction Fire Suppression about their business growth and how teamwork skills have been integral to their success. When entrepreneurs form partnerships with one another, they don’t always work out. But in the case of Sam and Ed, they’ve made their relationship a business strength. When Sam first started out, he was part of his family’s business for a brief period of time. In that position, he discovered his talent for customer engagement. That experience gave him the motivation to start his own business. Sam began selling his own cars but he quickly realized the many challenges he faced. The thing is, success takes more than hard work. Teamwork skills can be an important part of the business growth process because when teams work well together, partners can complement one another. When a partnership works well, each person adds their skill sets to the business and contributes meaningfully. This is what Sam and Ed were able to do once they met one another. Business expansion requires strategic planning. In order to scale, it often means making structural changes to the company in order to allow scaling to happen. By letting go of certain early structures, Sam and Ed were able to provide the opportunity for growth. It’s also important to have the right people on your team. Outside of the partnership, your people should be helping to sustain you. Teamwork skills can not only help you as a leader, they can also help your employees perform at a high level for your business.Sam and Ed are a great example of what perseverance, cooperation, and planning can do for a company and how a solid partnership can lead to business growth.--------------------CONNECT WITH PETER BOOLKAH:--------------------http://www.Boolkah.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Boolkahhttps://www.instagram.com/pboolkah/https://www.linkedin.com/in/boolkahhttps://twitter.com/boolkah--------------------THE TRANSITION GUY --------------------Peter Boolkah is the World's #1 Business Transition Coach and also known as ‘The Transition Guy’. Today, we continue the conversation with a corporate lawyer turned Youth Fitness Advocate. Imagine being a leading corporate lawyer and management consultant advising publicly-listed companies and governments on how to save millions of dollars to then buying and building your own gym aimed at teaching and training kids. It’s not like these two things were related fields AT ALL. Sam Mathers was the Australian Corporate Mum-of-2 who was passionate about her CrossFit and exercise and was coaching functional fitness to youth as a volunteer. It was a conversation between her and her hubby that asked: “if I could do anything and money didn’t matter…if I could do what I’m truly passionate about…what would I be doing? And the answer came out crystal clear: coaching youth!”. She recognized that Consulting law may have paid well and she was good at it, but she wasn’t changing lives – so the writing was on the wall in big BLOCK letters: MAKE THE CHANGE. And in 2016, she created “Fitter Futures” w her front and centre tagline…“Changing Lives”. She no longer dreams about what could be but is living it, moment by moment. When Sam invited us to her colourful, modern and epic new gym-space-opening, hearing her story had me know I had to share it with our wider community – it’s the permission some of you need TO TAKE THE PLUNGE. As you listen to her story, pls be aware that this has been brewing in her since 2012 and possibly even longer before that; its an evolution. Recognize what stage you might be in and then listen for what’s possible in Sam’s story! The Goods on Sam at Fitter Futures:I’ve always been active, as a kid, teenager and now adult. This week, Sam Falco is hosting the podcast once again! He’s invited on his colleague and friend, Adam Ulery, who is a Senior Agile Coach at AgileThought. Adam is a perpetually curious, continuous learner who is always willing to encourage others to try new things (as he very often does himself). He is very focused on helping organizations clarify and meet their business outcomes, and loves to help companies become resilient and rediscover their curiosity. Today, they’re sharing their best tips for new Scrum Masters. When Sam and Adam were new Scrum Masters they found that there were not a lot of experienced Scrum Masters that were accessible to them. In fact, they didn’t even have access to many of the common resources that exist today! So today they want to share all that they’ve learned over the course of their careers and lend a hand to all of the new Scrum Masters out there! Key Takeaways Tips for the new Scrum Master: Seek to understand where the team is in terms of their Scrum maturity level Observe the team without immediately trying to make changes to the way the team does things to inform yourself about where they are Ask yourself: ‘How well is what they’re doing working for them? Are they working well together as a team?’ If these things look good in-person even though they could look incorrect on-paper you may not want to change these things Do some sort of an assessment with the team to establish a baseline for where they are and how they’re executing Scrum (then periodically reassess down the line) Have the team self-assess Create a shared team vision Regardless of your experience level, educate yourself on the craft Get involved with a community group to improve your area of practice (and if there isn’t one where you are, start one) Indulge in books around your craft — they’re a great resource for taking you to the next level Go to conferences, big or small Tips for the new Scrum Master who is assigned to a pre-existing team: Start by working with them on the areas that need improvement (based off of an assessment) by getting the team’s input and having the team decide what they’d like to work on (assuming they’re mature enough to want to do that) Receive constant feedback by creating an open channel with the team to communicate Have transparency with what you’re doing there and what you want for them How to become a more effective Scrum Master: Find a mentor Be a mentor — just because you’re new doesn’t mean you have nothing to offer Become a speaker — you’ll discover you know more than you thought you did Mentioned in this Episode: The Scrum Guide The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change, by Stephen R. During this episode of the Lab Coat Agents Podcast, host Jeff Pfitzer speaks with Sam Khorramian, the CEO and Co-Founder of Big Block Realty, about how attending mastermind events and surrounding yourself with successful business owners who freely share their strategies can lead to enhanced success and life-altering opportunities. Listen to new ideas about how to level up through building relationships with key people. Episode Highlights: Sam Khorramian is a college dropout who loves to learn in non-traditional ways, including attending seminars and mastermind groups. When you hang out with successful people at mastermind events, things will start happening that you never saw coming. Success starts and ends within the environment you put yourself in. The only shortcut to success is relationships. If you want to level up, you’ve got to level up with stronger relationships. When Sam attended mastermind sessions, he began learning things that weren’t being taught in other seminars until much later. Attending masterminds allows you to learn from someone who is doing something on a high level in their business, that you can apply to your business. Look outside your industry for innovation. Sam finds successful people outside his own arena that inspire him. The War Room gave Sam and his partners opportunities and hacks no one in their space were talking about. He believes in borrowing other people's success and credibility. You know you're in a good room when you start wondering what you're doing with your life. They follow up with an executive retreat to implement the things they learned. This is a great strategy for taking lessons learned and applying them immediately. Some of the biggest wins he’s had have come out of those implementation retreats. A coach challenged him to attend conferences without his phone. He realized it was never going to be the end of the world if he couldn’t get to something immediately. Go to a mastermind to get your one critical nugget. Jeff loves going to masterminds for the relationships. Build as many relationships as you can because you never know what will happen. These successful people want to support and want to be involved. Successful people are always accessible. If there's someone you look up to and you want to spend more time with them, find a way to bring them value. Sam shares the magical question you should ask superstars when you get the chance to meet them. You’ve got to be a giver before you’re a taker. Sam describes what The Closing Table is all about. If you want to be with people who are winning on a higher level, The Closing Table might be the room for you. They discuss syndication as an investment strategy. Syndication is when a group of people pool resources and money to do projects that are bigger than they can do on their own. Look at what you can do when you have the right mindset. 3 Key Points: Level up with stronger relationships. Follow up conferences or masterminds with dedicated implementation sessions. Successful people are always accessible. January 26, 2011. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ellen Greenberg was a 27 year old teacher who was engaged to 28 year old Sam Goldberg. He was a producer for a local news affiliate. But after a half an hour or so at the gym, Sam returned to the couple's apartment to find the swing bolt latched. He couldn't get in. After nearly thirty minutes of texting Ellen with no replies, he sought help from a security officer who declined to assist Sam in breaking through the door. When Sam did break through, he found Ellen in the kitchen and unresponsive. He called 911. It was discovered that Ellen had been stabbed to death, but who could have stabbed a woman when her apartment was locked from the inside? Police immediately suspected a suicide, but the first autopsy report and independent analysis suspected foul play. Is this a case reminiscent of a John Dickson Carr novel? Or is there evidence available to solve this mystery?
