Chinese telecom companies are scrambling to deepen the research and development of 6G, as the world enters a crucial window of opportunity to identify potential technologies and formulate key standards for the next-generation wireless technology. 中国电信企业正争相深化6G研发。当前,全球正处于识别潜在技术、制定下一代无线通信关键标准的关键机遇期。 Amid the enthusiasm, 6G was highlighted in the Government Work Report for the first time this year. Visiblement, aucune trêve n'est sur le point d'être conclue dans la guerre technologique qui oppose les États-Unis et la Chine. Ce serait même tout l'inverse. D'après les informations du New York Times, le gouvernement américain songerait à forcer le géant mondial des drones DJI à quitter le pays. Si cette menace était mise à exécution, cela porterait à trois le nombre de mastodontes technologiques bannis par les Etats-Unis, à savoir DJI, mais aussi Huawei et TikTok.Si vous aviez prévu de voyager aux Etats-Unis et de faire de jolis plans aériens avec vos drones DJI, et bien c'est raté. Les autorités américaines voient en effet la firme chinoise comme une menace pour la sécurité nationale. Concrètement, le Congrès américain, réfléchirait très sérieusement à interdire DJI, en ajoutant la marque à la liste des équipements interdits. Cette liste, chapeautée par la Federal Communications Commission (FCC), l'autorité américaine des télécoms, accueille déjà de grands noms chinois comme Huawei, mais aussi l'équipementier ZTE et les opérateurs China Telecom et China Unicom.En fait, les autorités américaines ont la possibilité de mettre DJI sur la touche grâce au Countering CCP Drones Act, une loi de lutte contre les drones qui vise à empêcher l'entrée de nouveaux produits DJI sur le marché américain, et qui bloque tout achat de drones, caméras, micros et autres produits par les administrations américaines. Cette même loi pourrait aussi permettre de révoquer les précédentes autorisations accordées à l'entreprise par la FCC. Si DJI a toujours nié vouloir nuire aux États-Unis, les élus américains ne sont visiblement pas sur la même longueur d'onde. Si l'interdiction de TikTok aux États-Unis n'est pas encore totalement définitive, l'exemple Huawei illustre bien à quel point se faire bannir du sol américain peut être dommageable. Plus de quatre ans après, la firme de Shenzhen ne s'est toujours pas remise de cette punition. Si loi contre DJI il y a, reste à savoir quand elle sera promulguée, et surtout connaître l'ampleur des répercussions sur les comptes de l'entreprise. Hébergé par Acast. ASML levert nog dít jaar de eerste compleet nieuwe generatie High NA EUV-machines. Dat heeft CEO Peter Wennink laten weten.   Een tijd was onduidelijk wanneer die nieuwe generatie precies zou komen. Wennink spreekt van wat problemen met toeleveranciers en het juiste kwaliteitsniveau van de technologie. Nog voor het eind van dit jaar zal de eerste verscheept worden. De nieuwe High NA EUV-machine (NA staat voor Numerical Aperture tool) zijn zo groot als een vrachtwagen en kosten 300 miljoen euro per stuk. De grootste chip-producenten ter wereld, zoals TSMC, Intel en Samsung, hebben die nodig om nóg compactere chips te maken. Wie de gelukkige klant is, weten we niet. Eén ding weten we zeker: die gaat in elk geval niet naar China, dus. Alleen oudere apparaten mogen nog naar China (wegens de sancties die onder aanvoering van de VS worden opgelegd), de vorige generatie DUV machines (deep ultra violet light). Die categorie zal dit jaar nog voor de meeste omzet zorgen, aldus Wennink. In 2024 zal EUV het belangrijkste product worden qua omzet. China wil ondertussen 40 miljard dollar uittrekken om de eigen chip-industrie een flinke 'boost' te geven. Maar dat geld moet nog wel even worden opgehoest: de overheid wil nu namelijk maar 8,2 miljard inleggen. Dergelijke fondsen werden eerder ook betaal vanuit een publiek-private samenwerking, met staatsbedrijven overigens, zoals de China Development Bank Capital, China National Tobacco Corporation en China Telecom. In this episode of The 5G Factor, our series that focuses on all things 5G, the IoT, and the ecosystem as a whole, I'm joined by my colleague and fellow analyst, Todd Weiss, for a look at the top 5G developments and what's going on that caught our eye. Our discussion centered on: Major CSP CapEx Snapshot: Spotlight on AT&T, DT/T-Mobile, Verizon, China Mobile, Vodafone, China Telecom. Global CSP capital expenditures (CapEx) for the rest of 2023 and partially into 2024 have more clarity with the major CSPs providing mixed projections that indicate mostly flat CapEx growth. Notably, T-Mobile's parent, Deutsche Telekom, and Verizon have outlooks that respectively decrease CapEx 24% and 19% from 2022 to 2023 with Verizon cutting more in 2024. We investigate what the implications of the global CSP CapEx situation means for the 5G ecosystem in both the U.S. and other parts of the world.  T-Mobile Champions New 5G Carrier Aggregation Capabilities. T-Mobile is championing its new 5G carrier aggregation capabilities, which allows it to combine multiple 5G channels, or carriers, to deliver greater speed and performance. T-Mobile is now merging four 5G channels of sub-6 GHz spectrum – two channels of 2.5 GHz Ultra Capacity 5G, one channel of 1900 MHz and one channel of 600 MHz spectrum that is akin to combining four separate highways into a top performance superhighway. We assess the benefits customers can gain from the new capabilities, especially for 5G SA environments, as well as the competitive implications for the U.S. market.  Q2 2023 Earnings: AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon Put Up Good Numbers. AT&T Q2 2023 revenues came in at $29.9 billion, up 0.9% year over year (YoY), Verizon reported Q2 2023 revenue of $32.6 billion, yielding a non-GAAP profit of $1.10 per share, and T-Mobile generated service revenues of $15.7 billion, up 3% YoY. We examine how each of the big three U.S. operators fared across key subscriber and financial categories and where competitive advantages are generated.

However, the crypto community has reacted negatively to this update, with some users destroying their Ledger devices. Ledger's competitors have seized on this opportunity to reduce the prices of their products and promote their commitment to open-source code and self-custody. Binance Australia Halts AUD Services-Binance Australia has halted its Australian dollar services after its payment processor, Zepto, discontinued support for the exchange. Users can still purchase and sell cryptocurrencies using their credit or debit cards, and Binance's peer-to-peer marketplace will continue to operate as normal. Binance is currently seeking another provider to keep offering Australian dollar transactions to its users. Westpac Takes Aim at Crypto Scams-Westpac, an Australian bank, is introducing a trial of scam protection measures to combat fraudulent activities involving cryptocurrencies. The measures aim to reduce financial losses and risks associated with cryptocurrency scams. One-third of all scams involve direct transfers to cryptocurrency exchanges, which makes them difficult to track. Westpac's measures will include a phased trial of crypto payment protection blocks and other initiatives such as Westpac Verify. CBDC Alert(Ripple)-Ripple has launched a CBDC platform based on the XRP Ledger, which aims to facilitate connections between governments and banks. This new technology allows for wholesale and retail CBDC transactions, as well as the implementation of stablecoin architectures. Palau's government has already agreed to adopt this CBDC ledger for its national digital currency. China's Blockchain SIM Card-Conflux Network and China Telecom have launched the BSIM card, the world's first blockchain-based mobile user identification card. The BSIM card offers significantly more storage space and computing power compared to traditional SIM cards, and can generate and store users' public and private keys internally. This ensures that digital signatures are performed securely, as the private key remains within the card and is never exposed to external threats. Chiny zajmują obecnie globalnie 1. miejsce pod względem liczby rejestrowanych patentów, eksportu produktów kreatywnych i eksportu towarów hi-tech. 30 proc. patentów w zakresie produkcji zielonej energii jest autorstwa Chińczyków. Wśród 10 największych na świecie producentów baterii słonecznych 6 działa w Państwie Środka. Chińczycy są również liderami pod względem produkcji energii ze źródeł odnawialnych. Wytwarzają także najwięcej aut. Chiński BYD pod względem produkcji samochodów elektrycznych ustępuje jedynie Tesli. W mieście Schenzhen transport publiczny opiera się wyłącznie na pojazdach elektrycznych. Do 2020 roku ma się tak również stać w 30 innych miastach. Światowe rynki podbiją chińskie smartfony. Największy producent – Huawei – kontroluje obecnie 13 proc. globalnego rynku, ustępując jedynie Samsungowi i Apple. Huawei jest również potentatem, jeśli chodzi o wdrażanie technologii 5G. Chińscy operatorzy - China Unicom i China Telecom - do 2020 roku planują zbudować niezależną sieć 5g w 5 miastach. Rynek sprzedaży on-line w Chinach jest dwukrotnie większy niż w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Dzięki rozwiniętemu sektorowi usług kurierskich taniej jest kupować towary w sieci niż w sklepie – dotyczy to również artykułów spożywczych. Chińczycy coraz rzadziej posługują się również gotówką, co zawdzięczają rozwiniętej sieci płatności bezgotówkowych. Dr Marcin Jacoby podczas wykładu opowiada szerzej o rozwoju innowacyjnych gałęzi chińskiej gospodarki - zielonej energii, motoryzacji, produkcji smartfonów, rozwoju technologii 5G oraz rynku sprzedaży on-line i płatności bezgotówkowych. La Chine a annoncé son intention de se désengager du projet de câbles sous-marins reliant l'Europe à l'Asie. Cette décision est due à un changement de stratégie de la part de la Chine qui se concentre désormais sur le développement de ses réseaux de télécommunications internes. China Telecom et China Mobile, deux des opérateurs chinois les plus présents dans l'Empire du Milieu n'investiront plus dans la construction de ce câble.Le consortium ayant investi dans le projet de câbles sous-marins, qui comprend des entreprises comme Orange, Telecom Egypt ou Microsoft a fait un choix fort. Ils ont décidé que la société américaine SubCom était la plus à même de pouvoir construire ce système de câbles, au détriment du chinois Hengtong Marine. Une décision qui n'a pas plu aux deux groupes télécoms qui ont décidé de se retirer du projet. Le projet South East Asia-Middle East-West Europe 6 (Sea-Me-We 6) vise à installer au fond de l'océan, un système de câbles sous-marins de 19 200 km qui relieraient Marseille, en France et la cité-état de Singapour. L'ensemble se compose de 10 paires de fibres optiques ayant un débit de 12,6 Terabits par seconde chacune. Le coût total du projet est d'environ 500 millions de dollars.D'après le Financial Times, le départ de China Mobile et China Telecom s'explique par l'intensification des tensions entre la Chine et les États-Unis. Depuis, près de trois ans, les États-Unis ont refusé l'implantation de plusieurs câbles de télécommunications sous-marins impliquant des entreprises chinoises ou reliant directement les États-Unis à la Chine continentale ou à Hong Kong. The Cyberlaw Podcast kicks off 2023 by staring directly into the sun(set) of Section 702 authorization. The entire panel, including guest host Brian Fleming and guests Michael Ellis  and David Kris, debates where things could be headed this year as the clock is officially ticking on FISA Section 702 reauthorization. Although there is agreement that a straight reauthorization is unlikely in today's political environment, the ultimate landing spot for Section 702 is very much in doubt and a “game of chicken” will likely precede any potential deal. Everything seems to be in play, as this reauthorization battle could result in meaningful reform or a complete car crash come this time next year. Sticking with Congress, Michael also reacts to President Biden's recent bipartisan call to action regarding “Big Tech” and ponders where Republicans and Democrats could potentially find agreement on an issue everyone seems to agree on (for very different reasons). The panel also discusses the timing of President Biden's OpEd in the Wall Street Journal and debates whether it is intended as a challenge to the Republican-controlled House to act rather than simply increase oversight on the tech industry.  David then introduces a fascinating story about the bold recent action by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) to bring suit against Covington & Burling LLP to enforce an administrative subpoena seeking disclosure of the firm's clients implicated in a 2020 cyberattack by Chinese state-sponsored group, Hafnium. David posits that the SEC knows exactly what it is doing by taking such aggressive action in the face of strong resistance, and the panel discusses whether the SEC may have already won by attempting to protect its burgeoning piece of turf in the U.S. government cybersecurity enforcement landscape. Brian then turns to the crypto regulatory and enforcement space to discuss Coinbase's recent settlement with New York's Department of Financial Services. Rather than signal another crack in the foundation of the once high-flying crypto industry, Brian offers that this may just be routine growing pains for a maturing industry that is more like the traditional banking sector, from a regulatory and compliance standpoint, than it may have wanted to believe. Then, in the China portion of the episode, Michael discusses the latest news on the establishment of reverse Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and suggests it may still be some time before this tool gets finalized (even as the substantive scope appears to be shrinking). Next, Brian discusses a recent D.C. Circuit decision which upheld the Federal Communication Commission's decision to rescind the license of China Telecom at the recommendation of the executive branch agencies known as Team Telecom (Department of Justice, Department of Defense, and Department of Homeland Security). This important, first-of-its-kind decision reinforces the role of Team Telecom as an important national security gatekeeper for U.S. telecommunications infrastructure. Finally, David highlights an interesting recent story about an FBI search of an apparent Chinese police outpost in New York and ponders what it would mean to negotiate with and be educated by undeclared Chinese law enforcement agents in a foreign country. In a few updates and quick hits: Brian updates listeners on the U.S. government's continuing efforts to win multilateral support from key allies for tough new semiconductor export controls targeting China. Bonjour à tous et bienvenue dans le ZD Tech, le podcast quotidien de la rédaction de ZDNet. Je m'appelle Guillaume Serries et aujourd'hui, je vous explique comment la Chine a tué le cloud d'Alibaba. Pendant des années, Alibaba a voulu devenir l'Amazon de la Chine. Et puis tout c'est arrêté, et sa filiale de cloud computing, Alibaba Cloud, accuse le coup. Et je vais vous expliquer pourquoi. Les dirigeants d'Alibaba ne l'ont jamais caché, en matière de cloud computing, leur stratégie consistait à suivre celle d'Amazon. Dans le détail, cela consistait à utiliser les ressources infomatiques de leurs sites de e-commerce pour les proposer à des clients. Exactement ce qu'Amazon fait avec Amazon Web Services, AWS pour les intimes. Avec un énorme succès. Amazon Web Services dégage désormais tellement de cash que la filiale peut même limiter les pertes de l'activité de commerce électronique, et financer de nouvelles initiatives. Vous ne me croyez pas ? Au quatrième trimestre 2021, AWS a représenté plus de 100 % du bénéfice d'exploitation de l'entreprise. Et Alibaba Cloud lui aussi était très bien parti. Porté par un groupe dont la valorisation boursière a atteint plus de 850 milliards de dollars en 2020, ses commerciaux attaquaient même le marché français. Alibaba Cloud était alors qualifié de "pilier stratégiques" de la société. Le PDG d'Alibaba déclarait même que cette activité pourrait devenir "l'activité principale" de la société. Mais ces derniers mois la foudre s'est abattue sur Alibaba et sur Alibaba Cloud. Et la foudre à un nom : le gouvernement chinois. Pourtant l'entreprise avait un excellent paratonnerre en la personne du très médiatique Jack Ma, le confondateur d'Alibaba. C'est lui qui pris d'un excès d'hubris en 2020 a eu l'insolence de critiquer les régulateurs locaux. Rapidement, le gouvernement a annulé le projet d'introduction en bourse de la filiale financière d'Alibaba, puis infligé une énorme amende, d'un montant de 2,3 milliards d'euros à l'entreprise. Et Aliyun, le nom d'Alibaba Cloud en Chine, a également été emporté par la tempête.  L'entreprise se retrouve avec un concurrent de taille : le gouvernement chinois. Ce dernier finance désormais à hauteur de 1 400 milliards de dollars une infratructure de cloud pour les banques, les usines et les institutions publiques. Et exclu Alibab Cloud de ses partenaires. Effrayé, Tik Tok, un des clients majeur de l'entreprise, c'est lui aussi fait la malle. Depuis bien sûr, la croissance d'Alibaba Cloud béguaye en Chine. Bilan, sur le segment du IaaS, la part de marché d'Aliyun a diminué 9% en 3 ans, tout en restant leader. Et Huawei a doublé sa part de marché sur la même période. Pour enfoncer l'ultime clou dans le cercueil, en décembre dernier, le puissant ministère chinois de l'industrie et des technologies de l'information a réprimandé Alibaba Cloud pour ne pas avoir signalé une faille logicielle en temps voulu. Et a suspendu sa coopération avec l'entreprise pendant 6 mois. Les dirigeants d'Alibaba ont eux déjà un plan B. L'année dernière, ils ont essayé de se séparer de l'activité "cloud" avec une valorisation potentielle de plus de 100 milliards de dollars. Sans succès pour l'instant.

La Federal Communications Commission (FCC) a ajouté le 25 mars l'entreprise de cybersécurité Kaspersky et les opérateurs China Mobile et China Telecom à sa liste recensant les entreprises « réputés présenter un risque inacceptable pour la sécurité nationale des États-Unis ou la sécurité et la sûreté des personnes des États-Unis ». Les trois sociétés rejoignent Huawei ou ZTE. Un sommet virtuel est prévu ce lundi (dans la soirée, heure de Washington – tôt mardi à Pékin –) entre les présidents américain Joe Biden et chinois Xi Jinping. Ce sommet a lieu alors que les contentieux s'accumulent entre Washington et Pékin, qui s'affichent chacun fermes sur leurs positions, notamment concernant les échanges commerciaux. Le président américain a rejeté le terme de « guerre froide » entre les deux pays, il a néanmoins fait de la rivalité avec Pékin l'axe majeur de sa politique étrangère et économique. L'administration Biden a maintenu tous les droits de douanes imposées sous l'ère Trump, et cela sur 350 milliards de dollars de produits chinois. Pour exemple, la Commission fédérale des communications des États-Unis a donné 60 jours à China Telecom, taxé d'espionnage, pour arrêter ses services sur le sol américain, où la compagnie chinoise est présente depuis une vingtaine d'années. Washington s'en était déjà pris à d'autres géants des télécoms, Huawei et ZTE, qui ne peuvent plus recevoir de licences d'équipements de réseau aux États-Unis. Du côté de la Chine, les sanctions pleuvent également avec la fermeture de la version chinoise du jeu en ligne Fortnite depuis ce lundi, tout comme LinkedIn, le réseau social professionnel de Microsoft, et Yahoo qui ont aussi quitté le marché chinois. Les États-Unis ont également annoncé qu'ils regardaient à la loupe l'accord commercial signé avec la Chine par l'administration Trump, et prévoit notamment de faire un état des lieux des promesses tenues par Pékin. Mais Washington insiste aussi sur la nécessité, quand c'est possible, de coopérer avec le grand rival chinois. Lors de la COP26 à Glasgow, les deux premiers émetteurs mondiaux de gaz à effet de serre ont promis de lutter davantage contre le réchauffement climatique avec une déclaration conjointe surprise. Mais si l'administration Biden a identifié les questions liées à l'environnement comme un possible terrain d'entente entre Pékin et Washington, les tensions restent nombreuses. La zone indo-pacifique : un enjeu économique énorme Selon la Maison Blanche, il ne faudra pas attendre grand-chose de cette rencontre virtuelle. Car si Washington tient tant à établir une « relation de président à président », et laisser les canaux de communication ouverts, la Maison Blanche ne cherche pas « des résultats ou des décisions concrètes » selon la porte-parole. L'administration Biden s'est fixé 3 mots d'ordre : la coopération, la compétition et la confrontation. Du côté du ministère chinois des Affaires étrangères, on estime que les deux parties devraient se rencontrer « chacune à mi-chemin ». En toile de fond, et au-delà de la guerre commerciale entre la Chine et les États Unis, il y a un enjeu économique énorme : la zone indo-pacifique qui représente à elle seule 60 % du PIB mondial et qui est devenue le moteur de la croissance mondiale. Washington souhaite voir revenir dans son giron les 21 pays qui la constituent. Lors du sommet de l'APEC, le Forum de Coopération économique Asie-Pacifique, la semaine dernière, Joe Biden en a profité pour évoquer les « moyens de libérer la puissance économique de la région » et a réaffirmé sa volonté  « d'être un partenaire solide et fiable » de ces pays. De son côté, Pékin revendique la quasi-totalité de la mer de Chine méridionale, riche en ressources naturelles, et par laquelle transitent chaque année des milliards de dollars d'échanges maritimes, refusant les revendications de Brunei, de la Malaisie, des Philippines, du Vietnam et de Taïwan. Taïwan : catalyseur des tensions sino-américaines Les tensions sont montées d'un cran ces dernières semaines au sujet de Taïwan, que Pékin considère comme une province rebelle. La Chine tente d'isoler l'île et a intensifié son activité militaire près de Taïwan. En réponse, Washington a réitéré son engagement d'aider Taipei à construire et à renforcer sa défense. Taïwan est une puissance industrielle avec laquelle les États-Unis commercent davantage qu'avec la France, elle cristallise en effet aujourd'hui toutes les tensions sino-américaines alors que la Chine a sorti récemment l'arme ultime : isoler les entreprises internationales qui travaillent avec Taïwan en leur fermant le marché chinois. La Chine et Taïwan ont également entamé au même moment des négociations pour intégrer le CPTPP, un accord de libre-échange régional porté par le Japon, ce qui ne manque pas d'attiser les tensions.

Today on The Negotiation, Todd speaks with Justin Mallen, Founder, and CEO of Silk Road Telecommunication. He shares what it is like being one of the few successful foreign entrepreneurs in China, having entered the market during a time when it was far from the economic powerhouse that it is today.Justin says, “China's telecom infrastructure is owned and operated by three incredibly large, state-owned enterprises: China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile. Back then, they had the one key resource which you needed: networking; and they did not want people in their space.”Justin defines success, at least in the early days, simply as “being able to create a business that had staying power”. SRT is a capital intensive venture that was founded in 2000. It is a  thriving operation today, but the road to get to this point was fraught with scores of challenges in the beginning. Primarily, it was a matter of turning these carriers—and other gatekeepers—from competitors into partners. Justin's prediction that the internet would take the world by storm in the near future was a driving force that paid off in spades.As a data center business, SRT began with infrastructure as a service as its sole focus: they build, operate, maintain, and own the buildings that house all the servers for the internet. Today, these sites serve as the “heartbeat” for tech companies such as Alibaba, Tencent, and JD.com. Because of recent, rapid advancements in technology, today, SRT also offers platforms as a service (cloud, data, and big data analytics vendors) as a necessary additional layer atop infrastructure.Information traveled incredibly slowly in the early 1990s China. Justin's initial goal was to simply speed things up. The biggest strength he saw in the country's carriers was that they were very eager to invest in building up the infrastructure and capabilities of the internet. The goal of SRT was to develop the infrastructure so that the cost of delivery to consumers could be minimized. Over time, this grew the number of internet users in China to over 900 million in the first quarter of 2020.5G takes the latency—the time it takes for data to move between a device and the servers—down to zero. It makes connectivity much smoother and effectively instant. Driverless cars are incredibly prone to accidents if they use 4G, with its latency of 40 milliseconds. 5G removes this barrier, as well as those of many other industries, which allows for further innovations such as telemedicine and remote surgery.

Listen in as we cover the current state of global Internet health and dive into network outage numbers across ISPs, public cloud, and collaboration platforms. This week, we saw that the overall number of outages wasn't particularly concerning, reflecting our “new normal,” but there were a few notable outages that had far-reaching impacts. In particular, an outage at Tata Communications and a fiber cut at Level 3/CenturyLink had significant end-user impacts, as did another outage that took down access to GitHub.

Dani Zoldan is an entrepreneur. Since 19 years old he is most passionate and comfortable when navigating in uncharted waters and have applied that mindset to his numerous business ventures. While in college, he founded the online music company Eargazmic.com. Merging his love of music and computers (they called it computers back then, not technology), he created a website where independent bands and musicians can use the website to promote and sell their music. Each artist had their own web page which consisted of photos, a bio, upcoming tour dates and links to purchase MP3's. He ended up dropping out of New York University to focus on the business full-time but ultimately closing the business in 2003. In 2004, when phone carriers starting utilizing voice over internet protocol (VoIP) and routing their traffic over internet lines instead of phone lines, he decided to experiment with that technology and built an IP connection from his apartment closet (that's closet, as in where you put clothes) to Trinidad & Tobago and successfully was able to make long distance phone calls but paying local (Trinidad) prices. This experiment launched Titan International, which ultimately became a big player in selling wholesale long distance services to phone companies. Verizon, China Telecom, TATA Communications and many phone companies around the world relied on their services. Not stimulated by the telecom business so much anymore, in 2008 he purchased Stand Up NY, the famous comedy club on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Stand Up NY made its name in the 80's and 90's with many of the world's best comics known to frequent the club including Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Robin Williams, Louis CK and Jon Stewart. He purchased the club with one of his best buddy's Gabe Waldman (also an aspiring comic), hired Steve Lewis, (the infamous New York club operator/designer) and gave Stand Up NY a major makeover. Today, the club is home to many current A-listers including Amy Schumer, Michael Che, Pete Davidson and Judah Friedlander. In 2013, with his co-founder Jon Fatigate, we created Stand Up NY Labs, a comedy incubator. They successfully launched several hit podcasts including Tuesdays with Stories, Race Wars, The Jtrain podcast and In the Conversation which can can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and SoundCloud. In 2015 DGital Media, an audio engagement company invested in their company and currently ad-rep their network. At the end of 2016, Stand Up NY launched Skitish Media which creates short, funny, and shareable video content for brands and media agencies. He currently reside on the Upper West Side with my wife Billie, an orthodontist and three children - Bradyn, Sydney and Ryder. In a weeks-long stretch in 2014, hackers stole thousands of dollars a day in cryptocurrency from owners. In 2017, internet outages cropped up around the United States for hours. Last year, Google Cloud suffered hours of disruptions. Earlier this month, a large swath of European mobile data was rerouted through the state-backed China Telecom. And on Monday, websites and services around the world—including the internet infrastructure firm Cloudflare—experienced hours of outages.
