Michael Crossland is one of those people you meet and instantly feel like you've known forever. He's unbelievably likeable, but it's more than that - it's something I can't quite put my finger on but my best stab at it is this; Michael is a bit of a unicorn. He's knowledgable without being a smarta$$. Humble without being sickly self-deprecating. Funny without being performative. Polished without being scripted. And his vulnerability, access to emotion (even when telling stories he must've told thousands of times at this point) and generosity of spirit is second-to-none. Rather than having multiple degrees like the experts I often interview, Mike's education has come from the school of life. And boy, has it delivered him some lessons. I feel so fortunate to be in a position to package him up and share him with you today. We learn (a heap), laugh (a lot) and cry (a bit, then a bit more). I wanted to know:* [03:00] Do little things still piss Mike off, or is he too enlightened now? * [04:30] Is life happening to us or for us? Asking for a friend… * [06:40] 96% empty, 4% full. Meet baby Mike, the toughest toddler in Coffs Harbour circa 1984 * [10:00] Lucky #25 - the drug trial that almost took, then saved, little Mike's life * [13:20] ‘Forgiveness is a remarkable tool, regardless of whether they've asked for it' - how to prioritise our own self worth over how others value us * [18:00] What happened when Mike got so busy trying to create an amazing life he forgot to protect the one he already had * [20:30] Are we living or just existing? Mike's blueprint for longer, happier, healthier years* [27:00] Want the 1% life? Then we need to do the work the other 99% won't * [27:50] Greg Norman, $10 and a can of VB * [31:40] That time Mike let down the most important woman in his life, and how he made it up to her * [35:32] Show us how to fish, don't just give us the fish! How Mike's charity is changing the future for families in Haiti * [41:00] Struggling to find your purpose? Maybe you're overthinking it * [44:40] How our internal dialogue determines our day - getting micro around thoughts and language * [48:15] Let's play a game! Casey shoots some of our most common negative thoughts at Mike and lets him Mike-ify them * [50:38] The luckiest man on Earth. How Mike and his beautiful wife were given the ultimate gift Loved this conversation? Please share this episode with someone you care about (and tell them to grab the tissues). Our second premiere of the day comes from Glasgow pair Pentland Park, who feature on Everything Will Be OK for their biggest body of work, ‘Conscious,' which includes four original tracks and four remixes. We premiere a misty jazz-inspired groove that is firing from all cylinders with soaring breaks and deep-set subs. Pentland Park is the Glaswegian duo of Rjay and Kris, who formed the alias after holding down residencies with their respective projects at Glasgow's Don't Drop party series back in 2013. Since then, the pair have featured on lineups across the UK's most sought-after club spaces including Sub Club, Wire, and The Cause, as well as Berlin's Burg Schnabel. Running off the back of the debut EP on La La‘s Brand New Records, the duo now head to Everything Will Be OK with a statement of intent as they put forward four original tracks backed by four remixes across their The project sees Lake People, Benjamin Fröhlich, Fort Romeau's and Brigade on remix duties. We premiere ‘6am Again', a murky trip through a smoke-filled basement in the early hours as Pentland Park fires across a flurry of menacing breakbeats and gutwrenching sub-bass. Although the track is powered by brute force, it remains hazy and somniferous as blissful pads slide across grisly low-end power and jazz samples ooze through the system. It's got one foot in the chill-out area and the other cemented on the dancefloor, but wherever or however you absorb these frequencies you're in for a sweet treat. Affirmations Everything Will Be Ok Download the Selfpause Affirmation App Everything will be okay. These are the words that we often tell ourselves when things are tough. But sometimes, it seems like no matter how many times we say them, things just don't seem to get better. That's where affirmations come in. Affirmations are positive statements that help to change your mindset and focus your thoughts on the good. When things are tough, and it feels like everything is against you, affirmations can help you to keep going. They remind you of your strength, and that you have the power to overcome anything. There are many different affirmations that you can use, but not all of them will work for everyone. It's important to find the ones that work best for you, and that you can really believe in.

What's up my BK Birdies~~^^~~ How's it going? Good? Not so great? As we all know, life tends to give a power slap to the face. With or without a warning it still hurts and you see and feel the after effects of it all. Even though it seems like there's no way passed whatever situation you're going through, just know that with time comes healing and improvement. Everything WILL be ok. Let's talk about it.Special shout out to the artist Aviino for the song of the episode "Everything's Gonna Be Ok".
Chris chats to Limerick native Dylan Flynn from "Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets" about when he first started his career in music, musical influences, how himself and the dead poets formed along with their latest songs "Everything Will Be Ok" & "I Wasn't Ready" plus their EP "Crazy How We Live Like This" https://dylanflynnandthedeadpoets.bandcamp.com https://twitter.com/dflynndeadpoets https://www.instagram.com/dylanflynndeadpoets/
The story of the day Chris died continues with an incredibly costly mistake. One single word changed the course of the day and I'll never forget it.One single word caused so much heartache. One single word set in motion a chain of events that couldn't be stopped... This episode was recorded in December 2021, just a week before the 8th anniversary of Chris' death. The years may have passed, but the memories are crystal clear in my head. Some things are burned into your head - they will never go.19th December is a date on the calendar. As the anniversaries have come and gone, my emotions enjoy a rollercoaster ride. Some years I'm broken, others I'm contemplative. **********************************Stacey, The Modern Storyteller, is a storytelling expert and host of The Life Chapters Podcast and The P.S. Why does God say we have to become like a little child? Little children trust---they don't question---their faith is in their parent. It's not until we get older we start to question or challenge and disbelief enters our minds! We must trust Him completely as we enter 2021!

Back in 2016 I had the chance to sit down with American rapper G-Eazy when he was on tour in Amsterdam. We spoke about enjoying the city, his album When It's Dark Out, his eclectic musical upbringing, dealing with haters, Everything Will Be Ok, the power of music, and a lot more.On a side note, I want to commend Gerald (his real name) for his professionalism. I had the chance to speak with him on a separate occasion at a festival. Hip Hop festival are unfortunately notorious for artists cancelling last minute or not showing up for interviews. Out of the 8 interviews I had scheduled Gerald was the only one who I ended up talking to that day, even though he was the biggest name on the list. For a little music interviewer like me it showed great character from both him and his team and credit needs to be given where credit is due. Sometimes you have to get fired again and again (and again) to figure out your place in the world. Ed Clowes’ (@edclowes) story is not your common journalistic tale. Kids, don’t try this one at home. He gets fired for increasingly noble reasons though, ultimately getting kicked out of the city-state of Dubai. Be warned, despite the title of this episode, it is more about the Middle East than London. Ed discusses bumbling his way through a series of London jobs (4:57), moving to Dubai for a magazine sales job but getting into the journalism side (6:43), getting fired from a job in PR (16:03), finding his feet again at the newspaper Gulf News only to get kicked out of the country (21:05), how censorship works in Dubai and how the government directed an anti-Trump shift at the paper (32:40), finding work in the UK and feelings on moving home after being away so long (38:34), delving into what it's like living in the classist, mixing pot of a shopping mall that is Dubai (43:11), what it's like working at The Telegraph (54:37) and end on the lightning round (1:01:45). Navigating our 'new normal' in sobriety.
I know times are hard right now but we need to all be stronger than ever. We have to make sure that we have hope inside and we are building ourselves and continuing to grow in this isolation and just really bettering ourselves so that when everything is back to normal we will be stronger. But also in the meantime this pandemic will teach us or society a lot about not taking life for granted, loving one another, supporting, one another, appreciating the people in your life like your friends, family, and loved ones and spreading kindness to one another. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/positivityneverdies/support
The problem most of us have with decision making is that we are afraid of making the wrong decision! I will submit there are no right or wrong decisions. There are only learning experiences. Today many people are "waiting and hoping" that EVERYTHING WILL BE OK. Waiting and Hoping for a miracle is a choice, and out of all the options available, I can assure this is the worst. This stance does not empower you, nor does it give you any direction. Worse yet, when it comes time to take action, you will be left with few options, and your choices will be made in haste.Contemplate tomorrow today, right now. Do not leave it until the last minute.

This is how we are navigating through the corona virus….It’s been 48 hours since it was announced we are in a global pandemic. This podcast is all about how we rise up into positivity and try to understand that the coronavirus is happening FOR us, not TO us. Why not think about the pandemic this way of discovering beautiful growth and personal evolution and how we find our power from discovering our connection to one another and to our hearts. How do we stay centred in love and how can we give back to all right now? Listen in….So many things are happening for our higher good. We are open to all the possibilities of changes that are possible. We are surrendering to LIFE. We choose LIFE! Surrender to life unfolding right now…(a great book to read right now is called The Surrender Experiment, by Michael Singer). Maybe this is what this is for (going inward to find our SELF). Maybe this is Humanity’s greatest moment in time - maybe we surrender to our greatest moment of living every day…. right now. Maybe this is something that the planet needs right now….how do we know? Just maybe, this is our wake up call for humanity. What is our the most important things to us. Re-evaluating our values. It’s like we have just had our houses cleaned. We have been given a gift of solitude and isolation and this gives us a chance to be quiet and open ourselves up to all we deeply desire. We are changing up our values. What is it that the coronavirus teaching us. What is it? Open yourself up to the possibilities of the SPACE that the COVID-19 is creating for us. Look after your MIND, BODY and SOUL - we need to BUILD our IMMUNE SYSTEM now. Thank you so much for listening to this episode! As always, please SUBSCRIBE to our podcast and give us a review. Jeremiah 29:11-14 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
