Andrew Douglas Tench, a 31-year-old resident of Belmont NC, was reported missing by his family on March 26, 2024. Tench was last seen on Sunday, March 24, 2024, around 11:30 pm, leaving his Belmont residence for Charlotte in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Monroe, NC. D'Shaun Montrell Robinson was arrested on several counts related to Andy Tench including disposing of his body in a dumpster. Robinson is currently working on a plea deal which, if granted, would most likely end up with time served. Andy Tench is a white male, approximately 5'05" tall, weighing about 135 lbs. The book is a non-linear memoir (of sorts), parsing the life and death of Glück's lover, the artist Ed Auerlich-Sugai. The narrative moves promiscuously back and forth between the 1970s when Bob and Ed's relationship takes shape, to the 1980s when AIDS ravages the gay community and Ed is diagnosed with HIV, to Ed's death in 1994, and Bob's wrestling with the emotional aftermath of Ed's loss. I love that Manny Ikomi has adopted a philosophy of “lift as you climb” as it relates to his career.
