It's a "Homewrecker Hypothetical" edition of the podcast this week as we discuss what we think could happen if power and electricity was suddenly gone. Would people have to start figuring out how to do things the way their ancestors did before the conveniences of modern life began? Would the government or some organization save them? Would we experience chaos and desperation? No one really knows what the future holds, but it may be a good idea to start taking action to prepare JUST IN CASE. Gearhead Consultants and Garage Hour hosts Justin Case and Marking Time met up high above the city to watch it all burn during our recent eclipsalypse. Rounds were chambered, pizza from Sprouts was et, and beers from Red Leg, Pike's Peak, Outer Range and Dry Dock were sipped, but unfortunately, no pepperoni armed pajama perp apocalypse was thwarted, not even in the driveway. Fortunately, Justin and Justmark didn't mind missing “shoot, shovel and shut up” because doin's were to be discussed: a positive word or three about hybrid automotive technology, the growing dumbness of nanny tech in cars, Eneos sneg for fun and kitchen, Van Café and LaRue for edible freebies, and Dude Food ala dove and grilled sirloin from Omaha Steaks. Don't forget the sauce: Led Zeppelin, free televisions, Gold Camp Road, apocalypse booze and getaway vehicles, some guns, historical eclipses, more electric car fails, and Chuck Norris.

Justin Kase, a trailblazing entertainment aficionado, emerged into the industry at just 16, rubbing shoulders with legends like Chucky Brown, Lenny Wilkens, Dikembe Mutombo, and Steve Smith as the Atlanta Hawks' ball boy. Mentored by luminaries Ryan Cameron & Greg Street, he found his calling, journeying from HOT 98.1FM in Greenville, South Carolina, where he dazzled as an on-air personality, production maestro, and promotions ace.Co-founding the acclaimed Zaytoven Radio with Humble Gee, Justin contributed to its Sirius radio triumph with beats known for shaping hits like "Usher - Papers," "Gucci Mane - So Icey," and "Gucci Mane feat Oj Da Juiceman - Make The Trap Say Ay." Venturing forth after two years, he remains connected to Zaytoven and Roland from Digital Dope Radio, sustaining his legacy.Transitioning from 16 dynamic years in radio, Justin pivoted to a thriving photography venture, gracing publications like the New York Times, People Magazine, and the New York Post. His lens has captured luminaries like Tray Chaney, Nappy Roots, NLE Choppa, LL Cool J, Tana, Georgia NAACP, and a host of others, establishing him as a luminary in the field.Navigating personal challenges, including marriage-induced stress and depression, Justin grappled with Adderall abuse, spiraling into a tumultuous phase with cocaine. Seeking redemption, he embarked on a transformative journey, voluntarily embracing rehab in September 2017. Emerging after 90 days with newfound clarity, a counselor's advice led him to photography, reigniting his passion and driving his sobriety.Four years on, Justin Kase stands as one of the preeminent celebrity photographers in the southern landscape, using his lens not only to capture moments but to illuminate his own triumphant tale of resilience and redemption. Hey folks, Tom Raftery here, with another enlightening episode of the Digital Supply Chain Podcast. This time, I had the pleasure of chatting with Anna Wells, an Executive Editor with Industrial Media, a powerhouse in the industrial sector providing content to various audiences along the supply chain. In our conversation, Anna offers a captivating glimpse into the ongoing evolution of industrial supply chains, especially post-pandemic. We discussed the significant shift from just-in-time to just-in-case inventory management, as the pandemic has exposed the fallibility of supply chains and highlighted the need for safety stock. Yet, Anna emphasizes, this doesn't mean hoarding every single item, but strategically targeting what's most critical to operations.Anna also touched on the ongoing trend of reshoring and nearshoring. As companies seek greater control and visibility over their supply chains, we see a surge of interest in bringing operations closer to home. As part of this, we dive into the impact of automation, AI, and other technology investments, which are now more than ever becoming central to operations in industries beyond just automotive. We also navigated the exciting waters of digitalization in manufacturing. From AI's increasing role in forecasting to manufacturers exploring e-commerce for B2B operations, we cover the shift in business models. We even explore some novel tech applications, like warehouse inventory management through sensors and cameras - turning the whole warehouse into a vending machine! It was a fascinating conversation that you won't want to miss. So tune in, whether you're a supply chain professional, a manufacturing enthusiast, or just eager to learn more about the future of industrial supply chains. For more, Anna mentioned you could check out IEN.com and Manufacturing .net where Anna also has a podcast.Listen in, and let's dive into the digital supply chain together! This week, Ryland and Charlie are just gonna kick back and knock an easy one off the list. Since they started this show, the fellas have had what they call, "Just In Case" episodes. Just low hanging fruit in case a guest falls through or a movie gets pushed back, scheduling conflicts, etc. And THE BOONDOCK SAINTS is one that has been sitting on the shelf for awhile now. So with nothing to do this week, they decided to dust off a Gen X classic and breakdown the late 90's shoot em up. Talking about the Lure, Quotes, and Legacy now that it's been nearly 25 years in existence. Along with that, the guys coronate the new Bracket Champion and speculate on possible entries to the upcoming 70's Horror Bracket. And in honor of popular posts lately, Charlie and Ryland do a Double Feature Game all about Stephen King! It's gonna be a good one, and there's more coming down the pipeline! Until Next Time!! Matt's internet strikes again as we battle the dreaded Covid “Zoom” variant. We win in the end. That show “Sliders” would have been better with Slider from “Top Gun” writhing around like the Oracle of Delphi. We enjoy the company of a very special guest host by the name of Justin Case. Bowen forgets to introduce the show. John has a joke of the day moment involving the prospect of a cum transfusion. How many Stings on the same street corner are too many? These jokes from the 90s just don't work in 2022. It only takes nine minutes twenty seconds for Jake Busey to rattle off the first slur of this film. Don't forget these three little words. It's “Tomcats” everyone!Follow us on Twitter @CinemaPoisonFollow Matt @menameismattieFollow Justin @ceJustinCase
Therese (Tez) Bryars brings a wealth of experience to her LNC practice. Initially, most of her work was with defense cases, and she worked as an inhouse LNC. During this time span, she gained a great deal of familiarity with nursing home cases, which is one of the main topics of this podcast. Since then, she has gone independent and both deepened and broadened her experience. Nursing home records can often be much more complex than hospital records, and, because they may cover a much longer time span, the LNC is faced with many more records. Tez gives a step-by-step approach to economically review the records appropriate to the case. She also describes how she has come to master electronic records and details her sources for necessary research, making the point that checking the date pertinent documents were written must match the time span of the case. Tez, because of her experience as both an in-house LNC and an independent one, brings a high level of understanding of the differences between these two ways of working. She particularly recommends that those starting out in this field give strong consideration to an in-house setting. She also describes how, in her independent role, she devotes considerable time to calling attorneys' offices, and explains how she focuses on nurturing relationships with the paralegals when they answer the phone. She also emphasizes that word of mouth is the best way to get clients, which demands excellent service for existing clients. Join me in this episode of Legal Nurse Podcast to learn about going from an Inhouse LNC to an Independent LNC - Therese Bryars How are nursing home medical documents different than those from hospitals? What should you look at first in the documents? Why is it so important to examine the quality of documentation? What online resources are helpful for research involving a case? What qualities do you need to work as an independent contractor LNC? Listen to our podcasts or watch them using our app, Expert.edu, available at legalnursebusiness.com/expertedu. https://youtu.be/mGJEZkg8qOA Join us for our 6th Virtual Conference LNC Success is a Livecast Virtual Conference 3-day event designed for legal nurse consultants just like you! It takes place October 27, 28, and 29, 2022. Pat Iyer and Barbara Levin put together THE first Legal Nurse Consulting Virtual Conference in July 2020. They are back with their 6th all-new conference based on what attendees said they'd find most valuable. This new implementation and networking event is designed for LNCs at any stage in their career. Build your expertise, attract higher-paying attorney clients, and take your business to the next level. After the LNC Success Virtual Conference, you will leave with clarity, confidence, and an effective step-by-step action plan that you can immediately implement in your business. Your Presenter of Going from an Inhouse LNC to an Independent LNC - Therese Bryars Therese Bryars, or "Tez" as she is known to her colleagues, is a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA.She attended Academy of the Sacred Heart High School and subsequently received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Loyola University of New Orleans. Tez has over 25 years of combined clinical nursing experience in Labor & Delivery, Ambulatory Surgery, and Medical/Surgical nursing. She performed contract services for attorneys in independent practice, and subsequently worked for over 13 years as an in-house legal nurse consultant for several large defense firms in the New Orleans area. Why is self-reflection helpful? Why does one self-reflect? What can be learned from self-reflection? Can someone reflect on one's Self too much? What can be gained through observing self? What can I learn from self-observation? How do I balance self-reflection with experiencing life? In this episode of Love Always, Self, Karista & Shyra discuss the tool of self-reflection and self-observation to re-discover ourselves as individuals and as part of the greater collective, and how to create balance between going deeper within and still being present in our physical human experiences. Most of us can agree that we are currently immersed in a human experience. In this experience of life, many people struggle with defining their “purpose.” In this quest to realize and self-actualize our “life purpose,” we can become entangled within our mental puzzlings as we continue our dive into the rabbit hole of what it means to know thySelf. Karista & Shyra discuss Different ways to recognize when reflections of self are done in excess When self-reflection may no longer be supporting you in your growth at that moment The importance of maintaining self care of the different aspects of self When to ask for guidance outside of yourself; we're all still learning something and sometimes we need help : Announcement: Stay tuned next week, on July 13th, for a special guest, past life regressionist Barbara Nadilini Preisnitz, LPC : Resources Mentioned: The Psychology of Man's Possible Evolution by P.D. If I go through a spiritual awakening, will I only experience positive events? Can being spiritual help me become more positive? If I'm spiritual, will I be happy? Is happiness found in spirituality? Is positivity from being spiritual? How does spirituality affect my nature of being? In this episode of Love Always, Self, Karista & Shyra discuss a common misconception about spirituality; that becoming more spiritual will cause a person to only experience positivity. Spirituality does not equate to the statement of “Just be positive.” We did not come to be in this life to only experience positivity; we came to have a diverse experience in a space of polarity. Experiencing negative emotions is not a bad thing and shouldn't be shamed. This is a form of suppression and creates blockages within. When we experience something perceived as “lower,” we are given an opportunity to hold greater appreciation for the contrasting experience. For example, after sitting in a frigid cold room and stepping out into 100 degree heat, for a few moments before the heat becomes unbearable, there's a sense of defrosting from the cold temperatures. Without experiencing the cold room, you may not find any appreciation of the heat of the sun. How can you begin to open your awareness to what it is that you are experiencing? Become aware of where you are mentally/emotionally/spiritually in this moment. Create greater awareness of Self, by deepening your connection with Self Let go of judgment Dive deeper into your current Self Pay attention to what is coming forward when creating space for awareness of Self Where do you find resistance? Go deeper into this resistance. Using your connection with Self, start practicing setting boundaries with yourself and others, and add more self-care activities into your day Use your external resources for support; loved ones, friends, family, therapist & spirit team Remember, that with this work, your end goal is to feel through it and coming out on the other side Announcement: Join us on July 13th for a special guest, a Past Life Regressionist, Barbara Nadilini, LPC : Episode Suggestions: Episode 52: Step Into Your Power; Spiritual Wellness and Life Coaching w/Karista Flynn Episode 49: Am I Significant? If you were to talk to the most recent 300 successful students from our community, they'd likely all agree on three "not so obvious" lessons that they each had to learn at some point. On today's mini episode I share these three pivotal lessons and explain why each is vital to your Amazon seller success. The three lessons are: Look for underserved listings (ASIN's) instead of hunting for profitable ideas and products Practice JUST IN TIME learning instead of JUST IN CASE learning (put money in the bank while you learn) There are key relationships you'll need for this journey. Do we create our own suffering? How do we create our own suffering? How can we stop creating our own suffering? In this episode of Love Always, Self, Shyra & Karista discuss how we create and add to our own suffering or perceived suffering in this life experience. Taking time to evaluate your mindset and recognize that you are not stuck at any point, will assist you in seeing you have a choice of how you are perceiving, relating to, and reacting to events/relationships/situations. Being in a mindset of the victim, we perceive that things are happening to us, but with a creator mindset things are happening for us. Recognizing that all that the Universe brings forward are meant for your greatest and highest good, the growth of your soul. These may not always be what we want, but rather it is what we need to assist in our expansion, soul growth, and movement towards realizing our connection to Source. : Time Stamps: (1:17) End Intro (5:00) Episode 27: Are You A Victim of Your DNA?
