Fully & Completely: Redux"In Between Evolution"Hosts: jD & Greg LeGros | Guest: Toronto Mike | Fully & Completely: ReduxThe EpisodeThere are records you fall into immediately - and then there are the ones that sneak up on you. "In Between Evolution" is absolutely the second kind. The Tragically Hip's 2004 record is one of their most slept-on, most politically charged, and - depending on who you ask - one of their very best. jD and Greg LeGros dig in track by track, joined by Toronto's favourite podcast man, Toronto Mike. It's feisty. It's got punk energy. And for a record that got passed over in 2004, it holds up like an absolute bruiser. So there's that.Guest SpotlightToronto Mike from Toronto, OntarioToronto Mike is the podcaster and blogger behind torontomic.com and Toronto Miked - a fiercely independent Toronto-centric podcast that's been going longer than most people can remember. He's a passionate Hip fan who - full disclosure - once had serious plans to launch his own Tragically Hip album-by-album podcast series. He abandoned those plans specifically because jD and Greg were doing it too well. That's not spin. That's what he said on mic."I went into the podcast kind of tiny bit hoping it would suck."- Toronto Mike, on hearing Fully & Completely for the first timeWhat's In This OneA full track-by-track of "In Between Evolution" plus the cultural context of June 2004 - which, as it turns out, is a lot. Here's some of what you're getting into:Why this is probably The Tragically Hip's most overtly political record - and why it had no choice but to be (they recorded it in Seattle, surrounded by American media, one year after the U.S. went into Iraq)'Heaven Is a Better Place Today' - a tribute to Dan Snyder built on funeral clichés and sports colloquialisms that somehow makes you cry. Every time.'Summer's Killing Us' - the song Greg would play for anyone who's never heard of this band. Not even officially released as a single. Absolutely should have been.'Gus the Polar Bear from Central Park' - a slow burn. Toronto Mike did not like it at first. He's come around. We dig into why.'Vaccination Scar' - the actual lead single, and a song that gets a bit more complicated the more you think about it'It Can't Be Nashville Every Night' - the one with the la-la-oos in the chorus that should not work, and absolutely does. Possibly a Toby Keith thing. Possibly a Dixie Chicks thing. Definitely a great song.'One Night in Copenhagen' - band turmoil, Gord's solo career pulling on the seams, and that one line about a payphone in the snow that Greg still talks about'Goodnight Josephine' - the closer that sounds like late-period Springsteen and contains some of the most beautiful lyrics Gord ever put down on tapeThe Stanley Cup Final, the Grey Cup halftime show (yes, The Hip played it), a commemorative Tragically Hip CD, and how the 2004 Leafs playoff run ended a sketch troupe's road trip to LAThe Cultural Climate: June 2004Greg always brings the goods on context, and June 2004 is a rich one. "In Between Evolution" landed in the middle of a musical year that included American Idiot, College Dropout, Funeral, Hot Fuss, and Songs for the Deaf. Commercially, the charts were a very different story - Usher, Evanescence, Josh Groban, and a lot of stuff these three would rather forget. It's a great time to be a music fan if you knew where to look. This was a record that knew exactly where it was looking.Pocket SongsAt the end of every record, we each pull one track to carry forward to the playlist.jD: 'Goodnight Josephine'Greg: 'It Can't Be Nashville Every Night'Toronto Mike: 'Are We Family'Why This Record MattersBecause it got slept on. Even in the band's own documentary, this one gets two seconds. And that's bananas - because it is a deep, huge favourite, and it is one of their very best. It's a hard rocker. It's a protest record. It's a record about loss, and change, and what happens when the things you love don't get to stay the same. It's the most guitar-forward record they ever made, and it has the audacity to rhyme its chorus with la-la-oos.Spend time with this album. This album is waiting for you.About Fully & Completely: ReduxFully & Completely: Redux is the reunion of the original Fully & Completely podcast - the show that started it all in 2018. jD and Greg LeGros go back through The Tragically Hip's full catalogue, album by album, track by track. Join us on Patreon at patreon.com/humpdayquickies Judson and Treasure are back at the Sex Apartment just 10 hours after the couple's very first sex club experience. What began as a cautious, six-month journey, sparked by Treasure's curiosity about watching others have sex and fueled by the podcast's stories of ethical non-monogamy, culminated in a near-perfect debut night. After a long drive and some pre-club nerves, they arrived early, took the tour, and immediately gravitated to the rope demonstration area where Treasure volunteered for her first public tying session with Tommy. Bound in a stunning frog tie incorporating her thigh-high boots, she experienced intense sensual touching and wand play in front of a large crowd, marking the first time anyone besides Judson had ever brought her to orgasm. The icebreaker left her glowing and liberated, strutting the club afterward in minimal lingerie with her robe barely closed. The night escalated when they serendipitously reconnected with a friendly couple they had messaged earlier. After a lengthy, chemistry-filled conversation at the bar, the four agreed to play, settling into the glow-in-the-dark "under the sea" room. Starting with parallel play intentions, the dynamic quickly evolved into fluid girl-on-girl exploration, with Treasure receiving oral, sitting on the other woman's face, and giving Judson a blowjob while the other husband fucked his partner, all forming an erotic chain of simultaneous pleasure. Judson actively supported Treasure throughout, whispering encouragement and helping her reach multiple climaxes, while thoughtfully holding back his own finish to avoid involving the other woman without prior consent. The session ended abruptly when the other couple's sitter time ran out, leaving Judson and Treasure exhilarated, legs shaky, and unable to sleep as they processed the life-altering evening that tripled the number of people who had ever made Treasure climax. Join us on Patreon at patreon.com/humpdayquickies We welcome Judson and Treasure to the sexpartment for their raw, unfiltered origin story. Married for 26 years with five kids and a history of pure monogamy, this couple spent decades focused on family Disney trips and vanilla life until the kids grew older, the nights got longer, and curiosity quietly took over. What started as Judson's long-dormant interest in kink (FetLife since 2012, early bedroom rope play captured on a Fuji FinePix) evolved into Treasure's surprising willingness to explore, sparked by a simple motto: "As long as there are snacks." Their first real step? Joining The Mark, a Nashville kink club, for a Shibari class that turned into an eye-opening night of live scenes, flogging orgasms, violet wand demos, aggressive play, puppy play, and a "princess" pleasuring herself with a magic wand right in front of them while staring their way. Sitting on a futon, watching it all unfold, Treasure's hands started wandering, and they left the club extremely turned on and forever changed. From there, the journey accelerated: a traumatizing Red Room podcast almost derailed everything (Treasure's epic "Fuck you, don't talk about this again" reaction to explicit language she wasn't ready for), but discovering Hump Day Quickies flipped the script. They binged episodes together, got hooked on parallel play as a soft entry point, and even had Treasure pull over the car after the MotorBunny/Sybian racing sounds episode (Season 1 Episode 20) to rush home for intense sex. With a unicorn-numbered Motor Bunny still boxed under the bed, violet wands, glowing rope, and a growing love for themes and costumes, Judson and Treasure share how research, communication, and no-pressure exploration turned their strong marriage into something even hotter. This episode is packed with Southern charm, hilarious mishaps (misread eye contact with a guy who wasn't into women), real-talk boundaries, and proof that it's never too late to crave snacks—and more. of Luca's family. En: The decorations, slightly faded but carefully hung for many years, created a warm festive atmosphere. En: All around, the scents of Italian food - steaming lasagna, golden arancini, and sweet zeppole - made the air welcoming and familiar, despite the hidden tensions among those present. En: Luca sat in a corner of the table, attentively watching the people he loved: his sister Giovanna, always energetic and a bit rebellious, and his older brother Marco, calm but often distant. It: I genitori cercavano di sorridere, nascondendo vecchi rancori mai dimenticati.En: The parents tried to smile, hiding old grudges never forgotten. En: Luca had long desired a different, more serene atmosphere, a wish that always seemed to slip out of reach during these gatherings. En: The conversation started quietly, with exchanges about daily life. En: But it didn't take long before an old thorny subject emerged, like a pressure cooker ready to explode. En: Marco, with a sharp tone, brought up an old debt never settled with their father. En: In his shyness, he felt responsible for turning the evening around. It: Inaspettatamente, Luca prese un respiro profondo e si intromise con calma: "Ricordate quella volta, al Carnevale dell'anno scorso, quando la mamma aveva vinto la gara delle maschere?"En: Unexpectedly, Luca took a deep breath and calmly intervened: "Remember that time, last year's Carnevale, when mom won the costume contest?"It: Un sorriso debole comparve sulle labbra di sua madre.En: A weak smile appeared on his mother's lips. En: "And you two, Marco and Giovanna, you were the first to run for the chiacchiere?"It: ", continuò Luca, cercando di mantenere il tono vivace.En: continued Luca, trying to keep the tone lively. It: Le tensioni sembrarono sciogliersi per un momento.En: The tensions seemed to melt away for a moment. It: Giovanna rise, ricordando una battuta buffa che Marco aveva fatto quel giorno.En: Giovanna laughed, recalling a funny joke Marco had made that day. En: The conversation took a lighter turn as everyone started sharing their favorite moments from past Carnevali. En: The mood lightened, and even though there was still a trace of old resentments in some subtle jokes, it seemed that something had changed. En: However, a new disagreement threatened to arise when Luca, with a courage he didn't know he had, raised his hand. En: "Please," he said with a calm but firm voice, "for tonight, let's set aside the arguments. It: Siamo qui insieme, e non capita spesso.En: We are here together, and it doesn't happen often. It: Festeggiamo questo Carnevale ricordando ciò che ci tiene uniti."En: Let's celebrate this Carnevale by remembering what keeps us united."It: Ci fu un attimo di silenzio, interrotto solo dal rumore delle posate che si fermavano sui piatti.En: There was a moment of silence, interrupted only by the sound of silverware pausing on the plates. En: The family looked around, perhaps embarrassed by Luca's sincerity. En: Then, slowly, Luca's mother burst into a sincere laugh, followed by the father and then the others. En: That evening, the family members opened up a little more to one another, accomplices in genuine laughter and small affectionate gestures. En: Not all issues were resolved, but a small bridge had been built thanks to Luca's courage. En: As the dinner drew to a close, Luca felt more confident, knowing that his voice, however timid, had a power that could change things. En: And in that slightly chaotic yet happy atmosphere, he understood that Send a textJoin Cheryl Lee - That Radio Chick on STILL ROCKIN' IT for news, reviews, music and interviews with some of our favourite Australian musiciansWhat happens when a working bassist falls hard for rock's most chaotic roadshow and decides to rebuild it from the ground up? We welcome South Australia's Brayden Leske to share how Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue—white face paint, flowered hats, and that soaring, haunting violin—became his magnum opus and why he's bringing it roaring back for one night only at Woodville Town Hall. Brayden walks us through the craft behind the chaos: charting arrangements from the 1975 bootlegs, learning to let tempos breathe, and recruiting a local cast that captures the revue's chemistry. Bernie Nicholson steps into the Joan Baez role with luminous harmonies, while violinist Leah Zweck channels Scarlett Rivera's cinematic lines that defined the tour's heartbeat. Along the way, we revisit how Dylan shrank arenas to civic centers, handed out flyers on the street, and turned each night into a living room with a PA—risky, human, unforgettable. We also trace Brayden's path from wedding gigs and indie bands to the Ashes to Ashes Bowie tribute. He admits he didn't “get” Dylan at first, oversaturated by family listening and uneven records. The switch flipped only when he started writing, picked up harmonica, and locked onto a single Rolling Thunder disc that's lived in his car ever since. That slow-burn devotion fuels a production that aims for truth, not tribute: rough edges welcome, emotion first, the room leaning forward. If this one-night revival finds its legs, the caravan rolls on to new halls. If not, it stands as a complete statement about why Rolling Thunder still matters: the courage to risk, the joy of small rooms, and the way a voice and a fiddle can cut through time. Join us for the backstory, the cast, and the energy behind a show years in the making—then come feel it up close. If you enjoy the conversation, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review to help more music lovers find us.What has Brayden Leske been up to lately?  Let's find out!Get out when you can, support local music and I'll see you down the front!!Visit: ThatRadioChick.com.au

“We all signed up for the criticism, and will to take a bullet for our team, that's our job.” Bryce Young Fresh off a breakout playoff run with the Carolina Panthers, former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young sits down with Ryan, Channing and Fred for a deeply personal and one of his most reflective conversations yet. Bryce opens up about the pressure of being selected first overall in the NFL Draft, the early adversity he faced adjusting to the speed and complexity of the NFL as a business, and how criticism fueled his growth rather than defined him. From learning how to command a locker room to embracing failure as part of development, Bryce shares the pivotal moments that shaped his evolution from highly touted prospect to playoff quarterback. From a long drive Bryce never envisioned making to the lessons the rough roads taught him, the guys talk about the complexity of Dave Canales' play calling, Bryce's unique bond with Xavier Legette, support from Cam Newton and how the Panther faithful can be hard to navigate but worth the privilege of being the team leader. He also discusses the mental side of the game — staying grounded amid expectations, blocking out outside noise, and building resilience during tough stretches. The conversation dives into leadership, faith, preparation habits, and what it truly means to “earn it” at the highest level. Sharing a close bond with CJ Stroud, Bryce talks about CJ's strength and talent will put him back on track ignoring the noise of this past season. Honest, thoughtful, and poised beyond his years, Bryce reflects on what the playoff run taught him about trust, accountability, and belief — not just in football, but in himself. “Human beings are the only puzzle I can't figure out.” Aldis Hodge On this powerful episode of The Pivot Podcast, Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor sit down with actor, producer, and master watchmaker Aldis Hodge for one of their most raw and revealing conversations yet. Hodge opens up about being raised by a single mother whose strength and sacrifice shaped his work ethic and sense of responsibility from an early age. Growing up in an area where the presence of the KKK was real and racial tension wasn't just history—it was lived experience—he reflects on how those early encounters with hate forged both resilience and purpose. Rather than shrink, he found his voice. A passionate, unapologetic Black voice grounded in truth, excellence, and accountability. Best known for his roles in Straight Outta Compton, Hidden Figures, One Night in Miami, Hawkman in Black Adam, and currently the lead in Prime Video series Cross, Hodge shares the pressure of portraying cultural icons and superheroes alike. He discusses the responsibility that comes with representing real stories and real communities—and how he channels personal experience into every performance. Beyond Hollywood, Aldis speaks about fatherhood and how being a proud girl dad reshaped his definition of success. Legacy is no longer just about career accolades—it's about what he models at home, the protection he provides, and the standard he sets for the next generation. In a deeply personal moment, Aldis lets us in on a powerful exchange between him and his wife that has forever changed and guided him. He also dives into his passion for puzzles and engineering, explaining how building his own watch brand is rooted in ownership, precision, and creating generational wealth. Drawing powerful parallels between elite athletes and elite artists, Hodge breaks down why mastery demands hard work, sacrifice, and the courage to pivot toward purpose. Ian Boswell (The Doughboy) and I (The Digger) got back together for a one-night-only live show at the Tour Down Under, sitting down with some big names from the peloton for an open, no-filter chat about all things cycling. From the cobbled Classics to the Grand Tours and of course the Tour Down Under, we wanted to make sure we covered it all. We kicked things off with Laurence Pithie and Luke Lamperti, diving deep into their experiences in the brutal but beautiful world of the cobbled Classics. Laurence reflected on his breakout years with Groupama-FDJ and how things have evolved since moving to Red Bull Bora hansgrohe, while Luke shared his take after racing with Classics royalty at Soudal Quick-Step. We also put them on the spot with some big Grand Tour predictions. While we had the boys up, we went full tech nerd mode with the tool-wrenching oracle himself, Dave Rome. Fresh from wandering the team zones, Dave unpacked the latest tech trends and gave us a sneak peek at what teams are rolling out, including early looks at bikes heading toward 2026. To wrap it all up, we brought on veteran Michal Kwiatkowski from INEOS, Aussie superstar Luke Plapp from Jayco AlUla, and Picnic PostNL Director Sportif Matt Winston. Together, we broke down the Tour Down Under stages and dug into how Jayco were planning to bounce back and move forward after a tough Nationals campaign. This was a live recording, one of those nights you really had to be there for. But if you couldn't make it, this episode is the next best thing. Jump in and soak up the vibes. Cheers!
