Emily Gielnik has played more than 50 games for the Matildas, and counting. It's a career that's so far included an Olympic Games and a FIFA World Cup. But her journey into that side was far from the textbook. In fact it was a school camp at the Australian Institute of Sport that started her footballing career, when her PE teacher asked if she could join in on a training session with the Matildas. Fast forward and Emily made her debut with the Brisbane Roar at age 18. And then with the Australian Under-19s, where she scored a hat-trick on debut, and eventually with the Tillies a year later. After an extensive career around the world, Emily is back scoring goals at the Melbourne Victory. In her spare time she works with teammate Chloe Logarzo running Future Baller, clinics designed to equip young girls with holistic football skills and mental strength. Lesley Logan 0:02 Get ready for some wins. Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started. Lesley Logan 0:46 Hi, Be It babe. How are you? Oh my god, I'm so excited that you are here with us today. Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast. Today is the Fuck Yeah Friday, which means we're celebrating your wins, we're celebrating one of mine and we got a little mantra for you. Wins are not necessarily like I've made it. I've established something, like, it's the perfect thing, I couldn't, it's so perfect. They're actually just like noticing where things are going well or things went well in a moment. So it doesn't have to be a perfect day to have a win. You could have a really crappy day. And one of my first wins will be that. But, first, let me share some of yours. And I would love for you to send your win in, shout out on Be It Pod because then you can hear it. So here we go. Lesley Logan 1:28 This one is from Christine Eschen. She is an eLevate grad and Agency member. And she wrote FYF, I had a person drive up to my property on a Sunday and inquire about my lavender than she asked if I also have a Pilates studio, showed her the studio and talked to her for a few minutes. She went home got online and booked a session for next week. Way to go, Christine and not only because of the efforting that you've been showing off your lavender, but also for having a website that allows people to schedule because you probably drove the whole way home thinking I gotta do that. I want to do that. You know, I'm gonna do that. And then she went to your website and she could schedule online. So that's amazing. Tania Tsiora, hello my win this week is that four new clients came in the studio within 10 days. Whoa! Tania, four people in 10 days, that is amazing. And she also has, I didn't write last week, it was such a great fun. It's been three years celebration of the studio, I offered a mat class in the park. Tania, Tania is Agency and she is, ah, three years the studio. Congratulations. First of all, that you have four people come in in a week. And then last week was a three-year anniversary, like, three, the first two years are the hardest. So, you know, not that it gets easier from here, but it does a little bit. So thank you for sharing that. Lesley Logan 2:39 I'm gonna give you guys one more win. This one's gonna come from DK. So, my FYF is residual from last week. I'm so relieved that the miserable manipulative legal financial mess I was in for almost eight weeks has actual result. My lawyer called to say this business growth coaching company is dropping all claims. Yay! Also, after sending my book to a local Boston news channel anchor to pitch myself for their Wellness Wednesday segment and after many emails back and forth, I finally got on the phone yesterday and we booked an in-a-studio recording session. I'm so excited just goes to show that your persistent really pays off, don't assume that people are interested in what in you or that you aren't worthy of an opportunity. DK, that is hu-frickin-mongous. Way to go. Like, it's, both of those things show perseverance and persistence and how they pay off. So I'm so proud of you. I'm also like, it's so easy for us to like create something. And we call that the win. And then not the step that we do afterwards to make sure that people are hearing about the thing we create. So congratulations on your book and all the efforts that you're doing to continue to make sure that people hear about it. That is huge. And anyone can take this away. Just because people don't respond to you or it doesn't happen right away doesn't mean that you're not interested. So it might not be the right timing. It might have something going on in their life. Like, there's so many different wins I could share. Or it was like someone didn't respond to me. And I thought oh, they don't like what I had to say, but, really, it was just timing, right it was just the wrong time. Lesley Logan 4:00 Okay, a win of mine. So every month we do a live class for OPC members. And Brad was not in town. And I was like okay, I'm gonna take a luxurious morning to just make sure I'm super prepared for this live class because I have to set myself up, I'm gonna have to do all the tech work myself and do all the things. So I made sure the mics were charged. I made sure that, like, I even moved the Reformer by myself, I made sure the dogs all had their treats, I even put some beds out so they wouldn't like walk around during the class, like, all the things to make the class so smooth and it was anything but smooth. It, actually, in fact, sucked. The class didn't suck, but like, I taught you guys I taught a class for like 10 minutes and no one could hear anything I was saying. So that was super embarrassing. But the win is, once I figured out what was going on that no one could hear me, that I taught an amazing class and I let myself be present in the moment and I didn't get hung up on like (inaudible). Oh my god, this is so awful. This sucks so much. Actually, I just had fun doing the class that I taught for them. And then I got to hang out with them and shout out some amazing news and amazing changes that we're making at OPC and I'm so, so excited for those things. And so I share that with you because just in case you're having a crappy day today, if you are also present after that crap goes, that's a win. That's a win. It's a total win. So, in fact, if you're listening to this right now, and you're really present in your body, what you're doing, that's a win. All right, like we have to take the wins where we can get them because my goodness, it is so freakin hard. Lesley Logan 5:31 Alright, so here is your mantra. When I feel fear, I feed trust. When I feel fear, I feed trust. When I feel fear, I feed trust. You are amazing. You are wonderful you are being it till you see it each and every day. Please send your wins so we get to shout them out. And until next time, Be It Till You See It. Lesley Logan 5:53 That's all I got for this episode of the Be It Till You See It Podcast. One thing that would help both myself and future listeners is for you to rate the show and leave a review and follow or subscribe for free wherever you listen to your podcast. Persistence is to success as excuses are to failure. Never, never give up - there is always a way. If you want more, you WILL find a way, because there always IS a way. With persistence and consistent action you WILL make it happen. If you don't believe me, here are some examples. Did you know that Thomas Edison had over 10,000 failed attempts to create the light bulb before he was successful? His persistence was as valuable as his invention. 10,000 failed attempts and look what he created! Even if you're not out to change the world, what could you create with an unresolved persistence? You've probably heard of Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, and their best-selling book series, Chicken Soup for the Soul. Did you know they marketed the original books to over 130 publishers, over a two-year period before a struggling publisher agreed to publish it. That's two years of phone calls, foot-peddling and persistence that started a best-selling book series. The authors knew the value of the book, it came down to making it known to the right publisher. Once the publisher saw the value, they knew what the benefits would be. Their first book went on to sell 8 million copies in 39 languages. And to date, the series has sold more than 100 million copies in over 45 languages. There are thousands of examples of ordinary people achieving extraordinary goals; these are just a few examples of how persistence paid off. Achieving your goals requires you to take consistent action, be persistent, and maintain a resolve to simply not give up. Over the next 5 days we will explore 5 steps you can take right away to get you closer to achieving your goals, so tune in tomorrow for Step #1. I'm the author of many books, including, Excuses Don't Count; Results Rule, Live Life with No Regrets, No Excuses, The Guide to Stopping Procrastination, The Power of Visualization, My Gratitude Journal, the Work Life Balance Emergency Kit, and The Roadmap To Success with Stephen Covey and Ken Blanchard, and more. Summary: In this insightful episode of 'Dr. Friday Tax Tips - One Minute Moment,' Dr. Friday, a seasoned tax expert, shares vital advice on dealing with the IRS, emphasizing the importance of persistence. She explains that a single rejection from the IRS doesn't spell the end of a case. Instead, she urges taxpayers to be tenacious, suggesting that even taking the matter to tax court can be beneficial. Dr. Friday highlights that dealing with the IRS often involves negotiating with computers, but persistence can lead to discussions with attorneys knowledgeable in tax law who are more likely to adjust decisions. For those struggling to navigate IRS communications on their own, Dr. Friday offers her expertise, available through her website. The episode also invites listeners to tune into the Dr. Friday call-in show every Saturday for more tax insights. Transcript G'day. I'm Dr. Friday president of Dr. Friday's Tax and Financial Firm. To get more info go to www.drfriday.com. This is a one-minute moment. If I could give you any advice about dealing with the IRS it's that basically one time isn't always enough meaning if you send one letter and the IRS sends back a rejection it doesn't always mean the case is closed. You need to be a little bit more tenacious and even take it as far as tax court as far as dealing with the petitions because many times you'll actually deal with an attorney that represents the IRS that knows the tax law. They're more apt to listen to adjust versus sometimes you're really dealing with a computer on some of these things. So don't just give up if you're dealing with the IRS on your own and you need help you can also contact me at drfriday.com. You can catch the Dr. Friday call-in show live every Saturday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. right here on 99.7 WTN.

Improving soil health doesn't happen overnight, but it's amazing how a series of small changes, compounded over time, can really make a difference. In this episode, we talk to 4th generation Ohio farmer Fred Yoder about things he's been implementing over the past four decades to improve his soil health and what he has experienced firsthand that he wants farmers everywhere to experience as well. Along with his wife Debbie and his 2 children, he grows corn, soybeans, and wheat. He also has operated a retail farm seed business for over 36 years and sells seed and other technology products to farmers. “I think we should be building soil and the things that we're doing today, I think we're building rather than even maintaining, we're actually improving soil. Dad wasn't the first to say it, but I asked him when I bought the farm, any last minute, recommendations. He said, “Just leave it in better shape than what you got it.” And today the farm is the most productive it's ever been and in the best shape it's ever been. And I think that's because of some of the things that we've been doing over the years.” - Fred Yoder Fred is also a founding board member and now Co-Chair of “Solutions from the Land,” a non-profit that explores integrated land management solutions to help meet food security, economic development, climate change and conservation of biodiversity goals. He also serves as Chair of the “North American Climate Smart Agriculture Alliance,” representing all factions of production agriculture, and working to ensure that farmer-to-farmer education and economics will be the driving force to adapting to a changing climate while feeding the world. “I look at my soil as my 401k, you won't get instant gratification from it… What they have to be convinced of is the fact if you invest in some of these practices that it'll pay dividends later on down the road. The first couple of years, you have to actually get your soils conditioned for less tillage and for cover crops and things like that. You give me a farmer for three to five years and I'll have him for life because once you go through that transitional change, then all of a sudden it supports itself.” Fred Yoder This Week on Soil Sense: Meet 4th generation Ohio farmer Fred Yoder and explore his soil health journey over the past 4 decades of farming Discover the advice Fred offers all producers on pursuing soil health practices on their operations Explore the organizations and efforts Fred participates in to support soil health practices Thank you to the Soy Checkoff for sponsoring this Farmers for Soil Health series of the Soil Sense podcast. Persistence always pays off - and sometimes big time! It's a known fact that more business deals are inked when one of the parties is persistent. Now, being persistent is not the same as being pushy; rather, it is voicing your ideal fit and expertise to someone that may not be aware of the benefits they will receive working with you. They will appreciate your persistence and the benefits - but you have to make them known.I've had many executives over the years want to hire me and telling me that they wished more of their people would be as persistent as I have been with them. Until someone tells me to “pound sand” which means the same as buzz off or go away, I keep calling because I believe I have something of value to them and their organization and they need to know about it.
